“Trolley” and "Brain Works" have enjoyed boosts in viewership ratings, shuffling the rankings among the Monday-Tuesday dramas!

According to Nielsen Korea, the January 16 broadcast of SBS’s “Trolley” garnered an average nationwide viewership rating of 4.4 percent. This is a 0.7 percent increase from its previous episode’s rating of 3.7 percent.

  2. This theory has been in my head for quite some time but I was not confident enough to share with you.  I'm changing my mind and I'm throwing this out.  This theory can explain many things but not everything.

We only see glimpses of the aftermath of the attempted sexual assault.  Although KHJ claimed she was not sexually assaulted when confronting with Seung Ho's mother, could this be a lie?  Perhaps not intentionally, at that time she could only admit that her son hurt her real bad but she might still be in denial of the act.  With no remorse from Seung-ho, she changed her mind and took courage to report this to the police.  When Seung Ho committed suicide, the whole case was closed.

If KHJ was in fact sexually assaulted, she might have gotten pregnant.  This may be why she fled her home town to get away from this horrid place and also had the baby (afterall, she's raised in a Catholic orphanage, so no abortion? It was illegal 20 years ago) and the baby was later sent to an orphanage.

If this is where we are going with, this can explain:

    1) the reason why KHJ is so empathetic towards SooBin for SooBin an orphan just like herself, and perhaps just like her own baby (whom she abandoned).

    2) KHJ did not pursue post secondary education (besides having no money) for she was bearing a child.

    3) KHJ did charity work (besides she being a kind hearted person to begin with) to fill up the void of having abandoning her own child.

    4) Soo Bin is KHJ's daughter, this explains why she gets upset, sad and with a hint of envy whenever KHJ and her daugher Yoon Seo are having a mother-daughter moment.

    5) Soo Bin is so disappointed and disheartened with KHJ when KHJ snapped on her of entering her bedroom without her permission when she had no ill intention only to bring her food.

    6) Soo Bin is frustrated that NJD doesn't approve of her straight to her face.  She desires her mother's husband to be able to accept her.  (I know this doesn't explain why the letters JD is tattooed on her.  I really hope JD does not refer to NJD.)

    7) I guess this, in a way, may explain the frustration Soo Bin had after the NJD questioned her if she's capable of being responsible for her baby.  After all, she was abandoned by her own mother.  If NJD disrespects her, he should well disrespect his own wife since she had a similar experience as her. (yes ... still doesn't explain why JD tattoo)

If Soo Bin is in fact KHJ's daugther, this can also justify why Soo Bin barges into our beloved couple's family.  The fact that Soo Bin is admitting she's pregnant and is bearing NJH's child is just a coy for her to get close to KHJ.  It's true that she's pregnant but with an unrelated man (please .  She's hoping that if she could just enter into KHJ's world and in time when the truth of her being KHJ's daughter is finally revealed to KHJ, KHJ and family will accept her and forgive her lying about having NJH's baby.

And i hope the story would get to elaborate more on the relationship between Ki Young and KHJ .. just to make NJD get jealous of his 'priceless' wife LOL.. (as to revenge for his adultery problem if ever happen, to lessen the audience disapppointment in NJD ..  why not since it's emphasized that Kim Jae Un has always been popular since young , and Ki Young didn't seem to love his wife as well hahaa..)

SY comes out first and you can see KY straining his neck to look behind her to see if KHJ came out too.  NJD didn’t miss that either.  He doesn’t like how KY was eyeing off his wife.

There is a chance that KY and KHJ had good feelings towards each other back in high school, or not. Either way, I'm sure KY knows about Seung Ho's crime (perhaps he witnessed it).  The way KY looked at KHJ may not be of yearning but out of pity because he didn't do anything back then.

Do you think there'd be any possibility that he'd choose his wife over his career? Because if he choose his wife, and then his adultery problem also made known, it's all finished, no more wife to love and believe and support him anymore ..

If he choose his career it's easier for him to conclude everything, was it not?

Up to this point, I really think the show would like the audience to perceive there is a forbidden story between NJD and Soo Bin.  I still incline to think that it is otherwise and that we have the most ideal kDrama couple ever.  And so, I hope NJD will choose his wife over his career.  I also expect that once he makes this decision, his career would seemingly plummeted but when KHJ is publicly proven to be the innocent and the victim, NJD's political career will be saved and he will very likely win the election.

SooBin and NJD’s conversation.  Still so cryptic.  Responsibility?  We can read it 2 ways.

    1. NJD is responsible for her being pregnant OR

    2. Responsibility here is about the baby living or dying.  So NJD asked her if she is capable of being responsible for raising the child (implying that he doubts she can).  Her response is about whether he can bear the burden (responsibility) of pushing her to abort the child.  Scrubbing out the tattoo is rather melodramatic.

The way NJD and SooBin spoke about responsibility of the child was just more and more directed that it was indeed NJD' doing ?

The act of scrubbing out the JD tattoo after her conversation with NJD does indicate there is more between NJD and SooBin than meets the eye.  I really hope it's not adultery.

Wow…NJD is angry.  He’s charging in to protect his woman at the end of Ep6.  Somehow he’s managing to compartmentalise being a politician and a husband.  What will happen when he has to choose between the 2?  Which side of him will win?

JWJ did ask NJD the very same question, that which side he would choose.  If i remember correctly, he chooses both.  Let's wait and see which side he will finally choose and which side he's willing to sacrifice.

  4. I read from somewhere that JD isn't an initial of someone, instead, it's an acronym of a place ....  juvenile detention (why it is an english acronym i do not know).

However, if this is true, then perhaps she had entered to juvenile detention system before where she was a pen pal to JH (who was not yet in prison at the time).  Or perhaps when she left juvenile detention, she volunteers to become a prison pen pal to JH (who ended up in prison).  This may be why she knows so much about KHJ based on the letters they wrote to each other.

  5. I hope there will be a Season 2, I need answers.  Too many questions right now.  If there is really a Season 2, we will have to wait until SKJ comes back from miltary service.

I wish Sae Byeok ended up with Sae Ha.

Who knows, since Saeha's alive, may be the two Sae's will end up together in Season 2 .... but I'm cool with either way SaeHa x SaeByeok or SaeByeok x Eojin.

So if Kim Man Eok shares the same DNA - paternal and Sae beuk maternal as the Ghost, wouldn't it mean Sae Beuk and Kim Man Eok are related???

Kim Man Ok and Sae Byeok are not related at all.  However, Kim Man Ok's grandson and Sae Byeok's granddaughter will meet and that will be the time when Ghost will be born.

Plus are they not going to go back to their original timeline???

No, we are no longer in the original timeline.  We are in an alternate timeline of which Kim Sae Ha intervened (time travelled) and thus became the culprit of the murder of Man Ok's step father (the janitor).  The timeline we are watching now, only Sae Ha is from the original timeline whereas the rest are of the alternate timeline (and this is why everyone refer Sae Ha as Kwon Sae Ha instead of Kim Sae Ha).

    Where are their duplicates then?

Sae Ha explained to Sae Byeok that he could not travel to the future; he could online time travel to the past.  This is why there is only one instance of him .... if he time travels to the past, the moment he's in that 'past', he is creating a new timeline and thus the Sae Ha in that 'past' timeline ceasts to exist the moment Sae Ha time travel back to this 'past'.

  7. Before Sae Ha time travel, it was the Ghost who had unstable DNA (and might probably be dying).  I don't understand why, after Sae Ha got the device from Ghost and he time travelled, his DNA becomes unstable (at least this is what I get from the drama so far) but Ghost's DNA goes back to normal.  Why?

    Seriously??

How did Kim Manok esacape with such high security???

    0-O

I think they intentionally let him go.  They put a tracker on him.  As to how he figures his way out without running into anyone inside the building, that's a little far-fetched.

Actually I find her opinionated. At times, she's quick to judge, like she did with her husband. [...]

But when she received the voice recording from IHR, she did not want to accept it, just because it's a slander to the person whose ideology she embraced fully.

Actually I don't think so.  Yeon Soo's reaction are true, honest, and quite realistic imo.  There were many signs that Jung Hyun was acting weird (i.e. on the way to the beach where Jung Hyun sort of broke down from a call (Yeon Soo witnessed that), to the police officer asking Jung Hyun's name and Jung Hyun freezed up and was extremely nervous).  All those times, Yeon Soo chose to ignore and denied something's wrong.  It was until she witnessed a woman hugging him that she got really upset and hurt and angry.  As she calmed down, she recollected herself and began to realize, may be, just may be, there's something that Jung Hyun is struggling.  She even encouraged Jung Hyun to be honest with her and share his struggles with her and Jung Hyun agreed to that.  Then came this sudden crash of reality that he's not who he is and sadly enough has the name she's come to learn as a suspect Lee Seok Gyu.  Everything about him is a lie (and remember, he did promise her to be honest with her and he failed miserably).  The way she reacted is quite natural and realistic here, because the man she loves becomes the man she's most suspicious of.  Of course she's angry, of course she doesn't want to have anything to do with him.  This is the love of her life and this is all a lie to her.  We can see her struggles, she's devastated, depressed to the point that she found it difficult to breath because she knows deep within she still loves this man.  Luckily, Ko Yoon-joo gave her that advice (which I truely appreciate she did) that she should focus on what her husband gave up to be with her, she willingly took that advice.  And we know the rest too, she forgave her husband and accepted him.  It was time for Jung Hyun (well ... Seok Gyu) to accept who he really is.  I think this is beautiful, i think it's Yeon Soo's acceptance of him made Seok Gyu found his true self back.

As for Kim Tae Yeol's true ideology (justifying it's okay to sacrifice someone for a greater cause) not aligning with Yeon Soo's.  I, too, think her reaction is realistic.  She just couldn't believe this so her first reaction was denial. After spending just one sleepless night and with Jung Hyun's talk of encouragement, she regained her composure and accepted who Kim tae Yeol truly is and acknowledge she is not him and does not share his ideals.

  10. When Jung Hyun came visit Kim Tae Yeol's mother and offered to drive her to the cemetery, he asked her to give him something that he asked her to safe keep for him.  Do you think that is the document (a photocopy of the original) that Cha Min Ho tried to give to Yeon Soo?  If this is the case, do you think Kim Tae Yeol's mother would have looked inside what the document is all about?  Or do you think Jung Hyun had already confessed to his mother who he really is?  Probably not but i'm pretty sure this is where Jung Hyun hides the photocopy.
