I have always held the strongest belief that BG must have watched YJ being interviewed by the host from the side of stage, waiting for her to finish, and admiring her fresh face and graceful movements on the stage. YJ was calm and mature for her young tender age and held her own floor with the fans and media. BG must have been impressed by her youthful yet breath-taking appearance and her elegant yet strong aura; and he knew that she could act--she has only been the first choice for young female roles in Sageuk dramas since 2006. If he had any pull on the producers who was deciding on the female lead of MDBC, he would have leaned heavily on them to talk to Youjung about taking the role of Raon after seeing her in SIA, if he has not already done so before SIA (after connecting with YJG).
I think that to your question "How much SAY did Bogummy have on finally selecting Youjung as Raon?", also thanks to your analysis, the answer cannot but be affirmative: he wanted her!
Bo Gum as a special guest in Kim Go Eun Fan meeting (I hope that, after having reached by YJ the age of majority, the BoYoo interactions in public are no longer a taboo and the two agencies can cooperate to enable that the public can benefit again about the their strong chemistry). BG's a gentle and handsome man. Don't be jealous of him, they're just old friends and colleagues.

Eyy I'm so late to the party here! I miss this thread and its wonderful souls! Tried to back read, but there're so many. My apologies for the repetitive postings, can't help it. So happy to see this thread is running full steam once again. Aren't we the happiest ship on earth now? Thanks to the hardwork and dedication of fans and shippers, our Boyoo finally appeared together on stage! Yeah! The sweet memories of Baeksang 2017 should be sufficient to satisfy our craving for Boyoo moments in the short to medium term. Anyone knows of any big events coming this year where Bo and Yoo would possibily be invited?
I love how the media coverage of Baeksang have very positive toward Bo and Yoo, and kinda subtly supportive toward Boyoo
I particularly love how many people gave positive and encouraging comments on Yoojung, considering the past events. Girl deserves all the love and recognition for her talent, hardwork and strong performance in all productions involved her. She and Bogum shared the same burden and responsibility and both had given equally magnificent performance.
I love how Bo and Yoo quietly maintain their warm and cozy relations, whatever it may be. It's nice to see them being comfortable with each other's presence in public. Some people said Boyoo was not as super-sticky-sweet-like-the-sweetest-honey as they were at the AAA. Me thinks they'd behaved properly to suit the character of the event -Baeksang is a completely different event from the AAA or MAMA- but still undeniably super sweet with each other nonetheless. When they all lined up for a group photo, and also during their own awarding, their closeness was soofull of joy!oooo obvious. They've almost made the other attendees looked like they were mere strangers pooled in a spot with them being the only two individuals who know each other and totally enjoy each other's company
Oh, and I don't care about what minority people, aka haters, said about YJ or Boyoo. Let them sulk in their corner.

I received a lot of love last year through the production 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds’. I’m aware that it wasn’t just Korean fans, but fans overseas also participated in the voting for this award. A sincere thank you to fans who knowingly and unknowingly voted, supported and gave me strength.
I think I was able to receive this thankful award after meeting the production that was 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds’ as well as the staff who became my luck, the extras (who appeared in mdbc), sunabenims, and fellow actors that are here tonight. It was an honor to work with you.

And congrats Boyoo shippers!Now, I hope too much that Bogum could win the Best Actor award. I think maybe that it's an too difficult...But then I remember others important result were considered absolutely impossible at the time... for example the rating at 20%, the Acting Award, the Popularity Awards... It's the same reason I hope that Boyoo let's do the red carpet together!
