Unseen Kim Yoonsung fighting scene from the drama..
Jinyoung: There is a secret story behind the scene. There was a scene that’s not included in the drama. I fought with gangs using an umbrella to protect Raon. It was rainy, so the ground was muddy. But the scene was deleted. I practiced fighting with an umbrella for a month. Then in the 12th episode, I had the sword scene. I only knew how to fight with an umbrella. (Laughter) But it was fun.

A: Even though I am doing various things, but these are things that I like, so I don't feel tired. There are also times when these things overlap. A: I gives me strength. I think that for a celebrity, even the smallest amount of praise gives us strength. Out of those people who pays attention to us, there are the public. Isn't good that the public is paying attention to us? It is worthwhile that these people are giving us praises. I find it amazing. There are times when I thought "How did get such praises?". Even with just 1 praise, I can gain strength from it.
Q: Even with that, you can't avoid the malicious comments too.
A: Starting out, I tried to look a lot at the praises only. I acted like I did not see those bad comments written but from a certain point onwards, I thought "I cannot go on like that". I read everything. Even if the person is just posting for the sake of posting I thought if I change this, this person wouldn't be able to say anything anymore. So nowadays I read all the comments, even though there are good comments when I read blogs, there are also people who give words after analysing. After seeing those, I thought I should not repeat such stuffs again.
Q: There are also attention seeking people who write malicious comments. Do you take those for reference too?
A: I feel those comments. Whether its just saying for the sake of saying, or whether they are really caring for it, I can see it. From one point onwards, when I write songs, I only "accept 50% of anything". I accept half of the praise that someone said, I also take half of the criticism that a person gives. Since it is the public, I have to look at a lot of various response. Previously when someone told me it's not good, I get sad but nowadays I look at all the responses. I feel that it is important to not be swayed by just one person's words. The very first title song, we did mixing 7 times. It was really harmful (laughs). The mixing teacher told me later "A producer must have his own perseverance". After that I came realised that I get swayed very easily. From that point onwards, I thought wouldn't it be good if I have my stand, and take in to heart 50% of the good and bad comments given.
Q: After Love in the Moonlight ended, what have you been doing?
A: Firstly, we are preparing to release an album. The fans have been waiting for more than a year. Album is the top priority now.
Q: What do you do on your rest day?
A: I want to watch a movie. On normal days, I watch a lot of movies with my family so there are almost no movies that I have not watched before. When I was young, I watched a lot of movies with my family so now when I head to the cinema, when I smell the smell of the popcorn, there are times I get home sick. I will deliberately go to the cinema nearby and smell the smell of popcorn and reminisce the memories. One reason why I like perfumes is because mood can change based on the smell. Smell can remind you of someone. I buy a lot of perfume because I get happier when I smell a good smell.
Q: How was 2016 like for Jinyoung?
A: It was a spectacular year. I did a lot of things. I did Produce 101, God of Music, Love in the Moonlight. I did a lot of things that I wasn't able to. I also did a solo stage on Yoo Heeyeol Sketchbook. It was a year where I experience good stuffs of those I didn't managed to do. Its a 2016 that makes me anticipate 2017.
Jinyoung "Love in the Moonlight Carol with Park Bogum, Kwak Dongyeon? I really want to do it".
Jinyoung revealed the love for music on the filming set of Love in the Moonlight. While doing makeup or while dressing up, Jinyoung asked Park Bogum and Kwak Dongyeon whom he shares the waiting room with if he could play some music, making himself a music DJ.
Jinyoung said "When I played music, the atmosphere changed. Even though acting is important, the atmosphere is important too. On some days, Park Bogum also played his songs. Since Park Bogum and Kwak Dongyeon both like music, we talked a lot about music. It feels a little like the movie "Begin again", the moment you listen to music, something changes."
During their trip to Cebu, Park Bogum, Kwak Dongyeon and Jinyoung also spoke a lot about music. Kwak Dongyeon said in one interview "I want to write a carol with Park Bogum and Jinyoung. First, Jinyoung's opinion is important since he would need to write a song." When we mentioned it to Jinyoung, he said "It would be fun.", laughing cheerfully.

Q&A Jinyoung Translations by deullerr
Q: It is your first time taking on a period drama. How was it?
A: There are clothes that I wore for the first time, speech that I used for the first time, so I was nervous. The Director and scriptwriter helped me along. Along the way, I let go of the nervousness and was able to do it comfortably. After it ended, I was able to feel the charm of period drama. It was fun, Kim Yoonseong that character also left an impression. It felt like as if I went into a fantasy world and came out. It still left an impression on me.
Q: If you were to comment your acting in this production, what would it be?
A: Even though the public are enjoying it, I am monitoring my acting cold-heartedly. From what I see, there are things that I need to do more, and there are lots of things that I need to fix too. This drama has given me a lot of experiences. As I will do even more productions in the future, it will be of great help.
Q: You are going back and forth between a singer and an actor. How is the life of an actor?
A: It feels like I am living a life that I can't live. I am living my life but no matter how my life goes, it will only go like that. To be able to live a life that I cannot live as, it feels good. I am a curious person. Instead of my life, I am able to have a feel of how to live as the other person indirectly through drama. To try living Kim Yoonseong's life, I thought, there is such a kid who has such a difficult life, music also helped a lot.
Q: How was the response of B1A4's members?
A: They copy and follow my script. They were making a joke out of it but I was thankful. It means they are giving me care and it is not something that I should get angry about. As they called "Master Yoonseong", they also gave me a lot of praises. Sandeul and Gongchan especially copied the script the most. (laughs)
Q: Your pose on the press conference for the show became a topic on the online community and its being named as "Professional idol pose".
A: I am doing what I always do so I didn't know it will become a topic. I gave hearts and shooting actions but after I went back to see (the pictures) again, I realised I was the only one doing it. (laughs) The title of the post uploaded was named "The difference between actor and idols". I don't think its a bad thing. Since it was a chance to see the fans close up, I thought I should give a lot of fan service.
Q: What do you think of the stereotype of Idol actors?
A: I feel that it is of course people will think that way. There is no choice that the people will think of idols like that. I feel that it is something that I have to work hard for to show a different side. It is also not exactly a bad thought that people think that idols can do it. Of course there will be stereotype, I think that it is our work to break the stereotype.
Q: There is a family book for Idol actors too isn't it? Is there any senior you wish to be like?
A: Senior Top. His gaze and charisma is awesome. There are many things you do using your gaze. His acting is already good but I think it is good to be overwhelming with such gaze too. I thought he looks very cool as I watch it.
Q: Are you rival with Park Bogum outside of the show?
A: Even though we are rivals in the drama, in real life, I ask for advises from Park Bogum. He did a lot of acting and there are a lot of things which I can learn from. There are a lot of things that I need to learn so I think that there is no need for me to be egoistic. I am grateful that Bogum speaks to me confidently.
Q: During Park Bogum's interview, he said he received help from you on the music area.
A: Park Bogum likes music and he has been playing piano for a long time. When we rest during filming, we talk a lot about music. We also talk about wanting to write a song. There's an application that I use for writing music, I told him about it and he liked it. Seeing him play makes me feel that his sense of music is good, is he also talented in making melody. When I saw it, I thought, "This guy can be a song writer". When I told Bogum about it, he told me he should try it.
Q: How do you feel if Bogum participates in B1A4's album?
A: We also talked about that. To get him to do a piano session for us. I think it would be meaningful to participate as a piano session.
Q: In the show, Kim Byeongyeon had a few slashes but still survived, but Kim Yoonseong died easily. Don't you find it a pity?
A: I don't think that dying is a bad thing. There is no desires in Yoonseong's life. He lived for one woman only. In the end, he gave up his government power, go against his grandfather, gave up everything. The final end, he protected the woman he lived and died. To Yoonseong, he did what he needs to do and died, so I thought he did a good job.
Q: If that is the case, rather than Yoonseong, will Jinyoung die for his love?
A: I will have to live (laughs). I will try to live. Only when I live then I can see the one I love. Kim Yoonseong's dying is in the drama so it is possible. I want to continue loving and I want to continue seeing the person I love.
Q: If you were to choose a famous line from the script?
A: If I am looking at the entire the drama, it was when Lee Young told Kim Heon "give a toast to the king" it was satisfying. Even though in the drama, Kim Heon was my grandfather, but that was still satisfying. If I'm looking at my own lines, it would be the lines I said when I kept looking for Raon and helping her. "Cry for all you want. I will not have any delusion." That scene was really sad.
Q: One of the most famous scene was the lanterns scene. If it was Jinyoung who flew the lanterns, what would you wish for?
A: A simple one. I will wish to be live happier. If I am happy, it seems like everything will come. When I say happily, it includes everything in life, so I will want to wish for myself to live happily.
Q: There is only 2 months left for 2016. If you were to look back this year and tell yourself something.
A: Are you ready for 2017?

I find it amazing. The comments runs fast and the people around me are contacting me a lot. I think it turned out well."Love in the Moonlight" is special to Jinyoung.
I've learnt a lot of things and came to know about the things I don't know. If I were to start another production, I will try my best to make use of the things that I have experienced this time round.
B1A4 has quite a bit of members who can act.
They are distinguishing themselves through their individual activities. That's why we monitor each other a lot too. We really do a lot of it. They occasionally will copy and follow my mushy scripts. Even though they are joking, I am thankful, really thankful. Because they are watching over what I am doing isn't it. When other members appear (on tv) I also will take a picture and send it to them.
The actors that act together gave me strength like the members.
It is fun to be around with friends. We get along well since our age are similar, we have similar interests and talk about similar stuff. So I think the synergy kind of shows.
Jinyoung has something that is more than enough in the drama. The mushy lines. 100% close.
At first I was worried. These are lines that can't be used in real life, how do I make it not cringy. I think it is important that I try my best to make it display it simply.
(T/N: The title is like that because it was saying Jinyoung doesn't have enough "quantity" for screen time. But his mushy scripts was something that has enough "quantity")
Yoonseong's speech that Jinyoung analysed, the object must be at the back.
The strongest one was part where I said "Your rudeness was like the sun rays". A carefree character could use such speech.
Jinyoung whom just finished a big thing, now B1A4's come back is ahead.
We will definitely come back this year. We are also almost done with the album. We discussed a lot and cracked our heads a lot so I don't think we will have regrets.
Jinyoung is multi-talented. Even though he can act well, he can also sing, write and compose songs. He even does producing. He seems very perfect.

Jinyoung chose the most regretful moment during the filming of "Love in the Moonlight"
When asked about the most regretful thing while filming Love in the Moonlight, Jinyoung answered "It was the editing of the scenes".
"It was my first action scene and I used an umbrella for that action scene. It was raining and it was a scene where I was saving Raon from the bad guys. I really liked it" Jinyoung also added "It was raining and and we were fighting in the mud, it was my first time doing it and it was hard, but on the other hand, I had fun."
He went on to explain why it was edited out, "In the earlier part, we had too much scenes so we have to cut that out."
Saving the girl he likes as an ending, Jinyoung said "I thought they would think of me in the end.
Jinyoung explained about his dying scene "Even though it would be better if there were a little more contents in between but I think it fitted right into 18 episodes."
"I feel like he would die. Wouldn't it be weird if Raon suddenly likes Yoonseong?" laughing as he said. "I think there was no regret for Yoonseong as he protected the one he loved and died."

A: I think he is a guy who is living a life of no regrets. I don't think I will be able to live well if I do anything and have regrets. Bogum is doing things that he want, doing the things that he want well so I think he is living well. I am also working hard to live a life of no regrets. But it is not easy.Q: How are you together with Raon who plays your love line?
A: We get along well. Even though we are 7 years apart, she is very mature. She is passionate about the things that she do, she also has conviction. I especially learnt a lot about acting from Youjung. When acting, I would ask 'How should I do this?' and she would give be opinions. I am thankful for that.Q: Its a situation where you have to have conflict with Bogum because of the love line with Youjung. To have those loving and antagonising expressions at the same time, it's not easy right?
A: In the drama, Raon is 18 and Yoonseong is 19. But in real life, she is really young isn't it. However, we were able to feel a love that you do in your 20s. I thought "How is possible to express such love when she is at such an age" and I thought I would be difficult. It is an uncommon love line in real life so when we first started acting, it was a little hard. I wondered how should I express this. Also, the love line conflict with Lee Young, the conflict for the throne. It is a very complicated emotion. While Yoonseong has regrets for the throne, with regards to the girl he loves, I think it is fine as long as he doesn't push Raon to Lee Young. So I thought when confronting the opposite party, I cannot lose, so I try to express that.Q: In the drama, you eventually pushed your loved one to Lee Young. If it was Jinyoung, what would you do?
A: I think I will give up. In real life, if I did everything I could, I would give up. Also, in the drama, Yoonseong stood and watch for a long period of time, in real life, I would not do it.
