  1. To be completely honest, I really like Wook. I just don't necessarily want him to be with Hae Soo, but I don't want him to suffer either.

On another note: I wonder how the King will die? I know that they edited the preview to seem like it was Wo Hee that stabs him, but I have trouble believing that (just like how in the preview for ep 11 they didn't show that it was Lady Oh that was hanged and instead sort of implied Hae Soo).

And Baek Ah is now probably one of my favourite princes (just slightly below So, lol). He's such a big sweetheart and that scene with him standing by So's beside with CP and JM wondering why it was always So that was getting injured was really moving. At least So has one brother always by his side (and now hopefully the CP too)!

  2. I love all the actors, but to be completely honest I don't think people are wrong when they say LJG's carrying a lot of the show. I think part of it might also be because he just has substantially more experience than the rest of the cast (insert LJG joke about him being old here), but honestly I'm loving that Wang So is getting more and more screen time because his character is so fascinating to watch.

ALSO JUST ~12 HOURS NOW I'M SHRIEKING I FEEL EVEN MORE UNPREPARED FOR EPISODE 11 THAN I DID FOR EPISODE 10. I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY; IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

(Off topic but I just watched King and the Clown and I have an entirely new respect for LJG. He pulled off the effeminate role so well and it was like whiplash after watching ML.)

Does anybody else think that there's something wrong with internet fandom when several pages are spent discussing something that may or may not have been said in jest when the most powerful scene in the show gets so little discussion? Apparently So isn't worthy of Su because he "threatens" to kill her lover but that's not even juxtaposed with the fact that he drank poisoned tea to try and save two people. One for love and the other for loyalty.

I really don't get it. I just don't. What more must a man do to prove he loves greatly?

This exactly. I feel like, in some odd sort of way, k-dramas have conditioned viewers to always expect more out of the leads. People don't talk about him sacrificing his life because, I guess, it's a lot more predictable in the whole world of male leads, so a lot of people instead are focusing on his threats instead? Except everyone else is always so preoccupied with trying to survive and WS pretty much goes and kills himself out of loyalty (and doesn't even want anyone to see!); either to HS or WM, or maybe even both.

Also, the bromance between Baek Ah and WS. It's real and I love it so much.

[Interview] Kang Ha-neul talks about 'Scarlet Heart: Ryeo'

KHN seems like such a massive sweetheart. I watched him on RM and he was the cutest thing ever! I don't think I can ever take Wook seriously now, lol.

On another note, I just got to watching episode 10, and now I'm so nervous for tomorrow! I have an odd feeling that they might end it just at the rain scene (if they even get there), because they still need to find the things planted in Hae Soo's room, arrest her, torture her, and then have her released when (likely) Lady Oh takes the blame, along with all the other plot details on the messed up royal family being generally bitter towards each other.

To be honest, the pacing of the show is starting to throw me off a little bit. I had just started to feel like the pace was picking up again, but now it's slowing down. We're halfway through the show and the development between the two main leads sometimes doesn't even feel equal to the development with HS and WW. I get that BBJX also placed a lot of emphasis on the 8th prince, but they also had ~6 more hours of content (so, like, the equivalent of 6 ML episodes).

I like the show so much, which is why I'd hate to see them rush everything towards the end. But, y'know, I guess there's not really much we can do about it other than yell at our screens together.

  5. Less than 12 hours to go now! I have a ton of tests and quizzes tomorrow but somehow ML still has me looking forward to Mondays, which is a great way to start my week. I was watching LJG's v-apps (oh my gOD HE'S SO ADORABLE) and for some reason I find it strangely cute how he always mentions how "old" he is.

(Also, just wanted to say that the fan theories/analyses on here pay so much attention to such detail. They're always so interesting to read, personally.)
