To me it definitely looks like it (judging by not only the reflection in her eyes, but just her entire face's expression. I'm not sure how to feel about this, because, on one hand, her crying would mean something really meaningful happened/is happening (especially since it's not even their last episode), but on the other hand, I don't think I want to see her cry, purely from an I-don't-ever-want-her-to-be-hurt standpoint. Who knows, though? Maybe it's happy tears? Or maybe we're all totally mistaken. Who knows?

Okay, so I went back, rewatched it, giffed it, and brightened it up a whole bunch so we could have a clearer view of it (the quality looks worse because of the brightening but I think you can see Solar's face a little better) thoughts?

Finally I'm getting around to watching the episode:
SpoilerThere were so many callbacks to previous episodes that it made me feel really happy about their growth. From their two nights together to Solar's impatience at both the proposal and during Eric's 200th day gift. You could really see how much more they know and trust each other now. Also, I thought it was funny that when Eric said he'd prepared something, Solar smirked at him and said "Liar." alkdjfalj THESE TWO.
Solar didn't seem flustered at all by the "honey" thing, which makes me wonder if they've talked about it/used it before and that's just been cut... Hmm MBC your cutting abilities are making me question things. Just like with the hand-holding, though, I guess we'll never know.
Eric's gesture was really moving to me. I think that's because I really love their simpler moments, and he always seems to remember things that might seem small but are really important - like Solar's dislike of the food. Eric's smile when she hit him reminded me of his smile at the airport when she was serenading him. They really are so happy in Dubai...
Every time they showed that pool all I could think about was what a waste it was that they didn't go in it. Just my own preference for pool scenes, though. It was so pretty and the sky was perfect and it would've made a great shot. Not that I have any idea what they should've replaced it with - because this episode was SO GREAT - but I'm very sad they didn't use the pool.
I was brought back to our conversation last week about Solar and her less-than-innocent mind when the massage thing started. I couldn't stop laughing when his legs became the focus of their conversation because she just kept stroking them like a dog I just... YEBA WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Eric must have been dying.
I was glad to hear Solar say "we weren't as close back then." I know we all know it because we've seen the stark contrast between then and now, but it always feels good to have them admit it too. It makes it feel like they've grown more comfortable with each other, not just with being on the show. She said "I couldn't even look at you back then" and that's when I realized just how much eye contact they've been making this trip. It was a thing I didn't even notice until she brought it up.
And their whole conversation was just so incredibly sweet. I love it when they're honest with each other. For me, emotional intimacy is always so much more exciting for me than physical intimacy, because it leaves us such beautiful moments (like the one in the pool, and now the one here). It felt like they were doing a BRI but with each other in the room. There was no leading question to make them give answers, either, they just spoke their minds and it was so sweet I died like five times.
Eric said he liked learning a lot from her and Solar got kind of quiet and shyly responded "Come on, you know everything already" but I could tell she was flattered. I think it's great how much he encourages her because she really hasn't had a whole lot of support throughout her life, and you can tell she's really flourishing under the support she gets from Eric. As a Solar stan first and foremost, this has always been the part that makes me the happiest about her time on WGM - it really feels like she's having a positive experience that is going to leave her happy and confident at the end of it. I'm so glad she's partnered with him. I don't know if she could've had the same experience with anyone else.
Which brings me to: Thank you for marrying me.
He knows. He has to know how compatible they are; how much they're unlike any other couple. They're kind of wild and different, and their pace has been slower than others, but Solar's honesty and Eric's kindness make them so intriguing to watch. They won the Chuseok competition and received this trip because of who they are and how great they work together. None of this would have happened if they had been paired with other people. Solar wouldn't have this new support system in her life, Eric wouldn't have this new close friend and these great experiences together. They're both so changed from this experience and I think it's definitely for the better. Ughhh now I need that yacht scene next week, because they've opened up to each other so much already I don't know how much further they can go. Especially with Solar wishing for something...
Day 2:
SpoilerSpeaking of eye contact, there was all the eye contact during the breakfast. Especially when Solar just kind of leaned back in her chair and stared at him. I don't know what part of that gave me butterflies, but it did.
Once again, they're playing Owl City in Dubai! I guess I'll forgive the MBC editors for cutting the rose and pool scenes since they seem to have good taste in music.
I love how Solar says hello to everyone she meets. It's a little thing, but she really does have the best manners. I can see why the WGM staff loves them so much. She's so happy and giggly and bouncy this trip, and it's just infectious.
Solar's such a mess of contradictions. I was expecting her to love the roller coaster because of her love of driving fast in the sand, but she seemed very scared the whole time. I couldn't help but laugh at her, though, especially her kind of dazed face when they came back from it. Eric seemed to have fun, though.
And then there's the promo.
SpoilerTHE YACHT, THE FOUNTAIN, THEM LAYING ON THAT BED, SOLAR HAVING A WISH. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M MORE EXCITED ABOUT.
There's water and stars and just the way they're looking at each other has me already so pumped for next week. The fountain excites me because of that moment we heard Solar's voice on Eric's Snapchat story. I want to know what was going on before/after that moment. The entire concept of the yacht just seems so romantic and beautiful. I really can tell they're not looking forward to leaving, but sadly, as we know, they both had schedules to attend.
I almost feel so bad for them, having that wonderful experience together - and, really, becoming closer than ever - and then not being able to see each other for weeks. At least I feel secure in the fact that they have all those photos and memories and also each other's phone numbers. Still, such a stark contrast.
Also I need to know Eric's reaction to Solar's new hair because I'm dying every time I see it, so...

As for the take on shipping...
SpoilerI myself have never been much of a shipper of celebrities. I recognize that sometimes it can be fun, but something really really has to *click* for me. It didn't *click* very quickly with Eric and Solar, but I continued watching anyway because I love Solar and I enjoyed watching their interactions.
For the most part, the criticism I've seen from Int/K-MooMoos has been that Eric and Solar's relationship seems "scripted" and "forced" or even just like more of a friends thing than a romantic thing. For a while, I had to admit, I was one of the latter, especially in that time period between Jeju and Chuseok. Their friendship was something I was incredibly excited about, especially since Eric was so respectful of Solar. I cringed a little bit at the panel's interference, and found myself wishing they would just be left to their own devices, to grow and play as they saw fit.
And then Chuseok happened (specifically, the promo that involved the eyelash kiss). I found myself watching and rewatching it, looking at their smiles, and realizing that I really wouldn't mind if they became a thing - mostly because I, like Eric, find a lot of value in romantic relationships rooted in friendship. Every episode since then has only solidified my belief that a lot of the criticisms of our couple are actually plus sides. I'll throw away the "scripted" and "forced" thing, because for me it's fairly easy to tell which things were planned beforehand (their 100th/200th day gifts to each other, for example) and which were spontaneous acts of affection (Solar's forehead kiss, Eric picking up a rose for her on the way home, his shouting of "I Love You!" in the most recent episode). Friendship isn't a bad thing to have, for either of them, and I'm not going to mind if their relationship ends up going no further than that.
At the same time, I agree with the sentiment that delusional shipping can often do more harm than good. I'm against the idea of commenting Eric's name all over Solar's work/social media or vice versa (except when they were in Dubai, then I thought that was just exciting since everyone knew they were hanging together). It's harassment that gives shipping a bad name, and I'd rather people ignore couples/shows/things they don't like than constantly leave negative comments that don't do anyone any good (in that way I actually respect the fans of Eric who refuse to interact with any of his WGM content - better no comments than negative ones).
And also, with the criticism, sometimes we have to remember how awkward these two were in the beginning. It's easy to brush something off when you've only seen the beginning of it, and, unfortunately, not everyone stuck around to watch their relationship blossom in the beautiful way it has.
Still, I'd be lying if I didn't say that, even without the subs, this week's episode has me feeling a little more delusional than usual (but the panel's down that river with me, so I don't feel too bad about it).

@enko20 ahh that was so beautiful!! As a Solar fan, I found so much joy in reading your piece, and I think your analysis was really accurate! I think I'll definitely be reading and re-reading this, especially as their relationship contunues to develop.

@papaxmoo I'd just delete it. It's not relevant to your video and if they get upset then it's their fault for clicking on it. I personally really enjoyed your video because it was a lot more fun to watch than hunting for little bits and pieces in various fancams. Also, I got to everything really clearly which made me happy!
I think another teaser pic is about to drop, so when it does I'll let you all know.

I do definitely think they filmed today based on the limited time they have left to do so. Especially if there is going to be a half-Dubai half-Korea episode (which would air just before Mamamoo's Comeback so *promotion*). If they'd only filmed half an episode today, that would explain Solar's free time.
Also: if they'd filmed at... say... the RBW practice rooms or something (like I really wish they would) she'd be able to do a V-APP very quickly after finishing filming so... I don't know... trying not to keep my hopes up.

Decalcomanie promo pics!
Now that Solar's revealed her hair, I think they may film WGM soon... especially since they have their comeback on November 7th. That would be 2 days after the last Dubai episode airs, so, to keep with their airing schedule, they'd need to film sometime between then and now (and leave room for editing, BRIs and panel reactions), so I'm guessing it'll be some time this week. Let's keep our eyes peeled for the mic on Eric's snapchat!

I definitely find myself agreeing with you here, especially now that we've put together a more comprehensive timeline of the past few months. If we're going by the stages timeline I talked about a few weeks ago, they've really only spent like 4 days together since the Chuseok rally. Still, they're constantly mentioning or hinting at things that make me feel like they've talked about it elsewhere, maybe in a cut scene maybe just off-camera. And this has been happening since the beginning (remember how Eric remembered she liked Amy Winehouse).
Also, I don't know, it's just comforting to think that they're contacting each other since they haven't filmed with/seen each other since the Dubai trip, and it's got to be weird going from no contact for weeks to spending a whole day/two days with someone and then going back to no contact. I don't think their relationship would feel as natural as it does now if they didn't contact each other.
SpoilerAnd with all this talk of them ending soon going around, I'm glad they contact each other, because the transition might not be so bad. But I don't want to think about that right now

@papaxmoo Good eyes seeing how close they were near the pool! I didn't even see that!
Also, yes, Solar's shocked face after Hwasa gave her that cheek-kiss definitely reminded me of something... What was it we were saying about her closeness with Eric reaching the level she's close with her members again?
I rewatched the preview again:
Where are Yongsun and Eric and who are these puppies who have replaced them?
For reals, though, they look so happy!! And she's trying to be mad at him but she can't even fake it, look at how big she's smiling. I'm glad for the return of the silk pajamas and for the rose and for Solar's red lipstick. Even if nothing super special happens (which I doubt because of what we've seen so far of this scene), it's been so beautifully set up and coordinated just judging by the way the two of them have been styled I think I'm probably going to end up giffing it again. All the red and white is making my heart flutter, and they've barely done anything.
I don't even know what to expect from their night together. Everything's changed so much since the last time. Solar, as @enko20 pointed out pretty much has no qualms about touching Eric now, and, adding to the fact that she's in his arms on the yacht I'm hoping from some cuddling from these kids, but who knows.
Are we sure these are the same people who did the My Ear's Candy performance?

The subs are up so LEGGO!
SpoilerSolar's English is about as adorable as it can get. She knows a whole lot of English, despite the fact that she most often only uses it for exclamations like "BOUNCE!" or "Neutrogena!" That beginning conversation with the driver really proved that to me. (Also Eric agreed with me that it was adorable, did you all see his face during the car ride?) Her question about Mansour reminded me of on their first date when she talked about how she'd expected to see more celebrities on the streets of Texas when she'd first gone to the US. Still a Yeba, I see.
I grew up around a desert, so it's funny to see Solar's reaction to there not being a lot of rain, etc. I especially loved her "Why not?" Maybe I'll take up that challenge of compiling all her English from this episode since it amuses me so much...
Who knew our girl was such a speed fanatic? All that shouting to go faster makes me wonder how she's going to be on that roller coaster next week. I know I'm a big fan of both of those things, so we'll have to see if her love of driving fast translates over into a love for roller coasters.
My only wish during the driving is that they would've held onto each other more. Solar grabbed Eric's arm at one point but quickly pulled away, and he looked like he was going for her hand at one point, but nothing came of it. Once again, I'll save my hopes for the roller coaster next week.
All of Eric's BRIs for this trip make me smile because he's smiling so much talking about it. I can tell they both really had a great time, and their happiness talking about it makes me want to know all the details of what happened.
The wedding ceremony was really great for me just because they did those flashbacks and you could see the growth their relationship has had. Today they may not have been all dressed up, but it felt more intimate. Also, we didn't get the photos they took with their phones, meaning they took them for themselves not the broadcast which makes me happy on so many different levels.
Solar's been taking so much initiative for the romantic activities that I'm getting really excited for whatever Eric has planned for them at the hotel. I know he definitely didn't forget to plan anything (not with how he's remembered every little detail of what Solar's said to him so far), so I'm just waiting for what big romantic gesture he's about to do.
Once again they cut the initiation of the hand holding, but we got a close up, it's okay.
Eric was ... possessive? For a moment? It was when they looked at the henna tattoos. I wasn't expecting it, but I'm taking it to mean they're fairly close now, since I don't think he would have ever said something like that back when they were first starting out and she was so shy around him, but Solar didn't even seem bothered by it. She was just like "yeah, I would tattoo that on my face if the line wasn't so long." They keep shocking me with new developments in their relationship through just the smallest things. It all seems to originate from the Chuseok rally (by their own words) so once again I'm left feeling like I missed something. Either way, I'm happy with it.
Did anyone else hear Eric sing along to the jazz song playing in the background while they were eating dinner? While Solar was trying the lamb, Eric kind of half-mumbled half-sang "I love you." Little things.
The belly dancing scene was amazing, as I said earlier. Eric kind of has a reputation for... not being the best dancer. That, paired with Dance-God-Dance-King Solar just made it incredibly funny. That being said, when Solar kind of dropped to the ground it reminded me of their My Ear's Candy performance, which makes sense because that was when she decided it was a competition, and Solar, as we learned at Chuseok, becomes about 200% more confident when she wants to win. Then Eric stepped up with that struck-by-lightning dance and I was laughing so hard it was so embarrassing. He was having fun, though, so that's what mattered. Solar was embarrassed for him too, though.
Their hotel is so luxurious and amazing. I'm already bemoaning how little time they get to spend in it. Also, there's a pool. I'm already wishing for another pool scene under the stars. You all already know how much I love those. Eric's got his legs in, though, so we're halfway there!
NEXT WEEK EVERYONE NEXT WEEK. I can't even decide what I'm most excited for out of the bed scene, the theme park, and the yacht scene. I'm just hoping nothing gets cut for time!!!
Also, one last note: Thank you to whichever WGM staff member put Solar in pigtails. The mochi cheeks were very present today. It was incredible.

Okay I've only watched the raw and the clips so far, but I definitely am enjoying this trip.
Like the rest of you, I was hoping they would have put the hotel scene in this episode just to give more time for the Halloween/Theme Park shenanigans, but alas they did not, so I guess next week will be jam-packed.
I'll save the rest for my review once the subs come out, but I will say my favorite part was when they were dancing with the belly dancer because Solar gives 200% every time she dances, and just was not holding back.

@papaxmoo Yes! I actually made that gif when I was talking about how Eric wanted to kiss her during the pool scene. Solar does look really closed off and that's why that scenes so important to me: the wish he chose instead was the one that allowed her to open up to him, effectively bringing their relationship to another level.

If anyone else has any others let me know! (Also I'm pretty sure someone made a crack video for them a while back but I can't find it right now so if anyone knows where that is it would be much appreciated if you'd tell me).

Haha. Yeba indeed. It'll be interesting to see how Solar's contradictory personality plays out.
Also, I saw some people say that they're filming WGM today judging by the microphone on Eric's shirt. This would make sense since they just revealed their new hair and this episode would probably be the one to air right before/after Mamamoo has their comeback, so Solar can promote it.
I'm really looking forward to Eric's reaction to her hair changing... I've always enjoyed that aspect of WGM when it comes to idols. Her new lighter hair also reminds me of how it was when they first met...

Also, I think Eric may not be prepared for what might come out of Solar if they do what you suggested. It would be very funny to watch though, especially considering the only taste of it we've really gotten is that scene before they performed My Ear's Candy when Eric was like "maybe I should kiss you" and Solar was just "Nah that's too tame let's do something else." He just looked so bewildered and shocked haha. Since the coffee thing went over his head I guess we'll have to see what else she does.

Solar gives off a pretty innocent vibe, doesn't she? But if you ask her members (and also a lie detector), she's kind of the opposite. Here's my favorite video about it:
"I'm just a pervert! Not an insane one!" Solar screams as her members carry her away. It's a great quote. One of her most quoted quotes within the fandom, actually, besides, like "Neutrogena" and stuff.
Also, she's the oldest member of the group, so she's obviously not that innocent.

Solar's Decalcomanie teaser is definitely the one I'm most excited for. Also, there seems to be a guy in the music video so... it's not too much to ask for some jealousy shenanigans again, is it? Ahh I don't want the Dubai episodes to end, but I'm also really really looking forward to the episode two weeks from now where they (hopefully) talk about the comeback.
I'm leaning towards the spy theory for the MV, just because of that promo pic of them in all black, but I think I'm going to love it no matter what they do just because already the vocals and visuals look amazing.
I'm also having the same problem as @papaxmoo with voting, so if anyone can help me figure it out that would be great.
