Korean Ladies Magazine Picks Top 10 Favorite K-actors as of March 2016
A recent Korean ladies magazine poll at the end of March is an interesting peek into how the domestic female viewers feel about how the hot Korean actors the English-speaking drama world fangirls over. It’s not the same list, that’s for sure, if I were to take a poll there are certain names that would dominate even if he hasn’t done a drama in years. The ladies choice top three favorite Korean actors as of March 2016 are Signal‘s Lee Je Hoon in first place, Kang Dong Won in second thanks to his hit film, and third place goes to Song Joong Ki in all certainty due to the exposure of Descendants of the Sun. Expanding the list a bit more, Lee Je Hoon’s Signal costar Jo Jin Woong takes fourth while Yoo Ah In just spent six months in front of television audiences in Six Flying Dragons and takes fifth place. Check out the top ten below, and most are recently quite popular or buzzed about on television, with the only name missing as Park Hae Jin since he got so much attention for Cheese in the Trap yet it’s his costar Seo Kang Joon that found a place on this poll.

Overall I agree with what you said. The only thing I fear though is the possible shipping war that could happen. Just look up the comments and discussions of the last 2 series, and you'll see how intense such fan wars can be. So lastly I rather not want him to participate in this kind of drama.

Seo Kang-Jun’s pressure and solution for ‘Cheese in the Trap’ (Old Article)
[OSEN=Pyo Jae Min] Fans’ praise about actor Seo Kang-Jun’s acting skill at drama ‘Cheese in the Trap’ was not coincidence. He is faithful actor who checks the emotions again and again for the next scene by reading the previous script again. He plays an important role for smooth process of tvN Mon-Tue drama ‘Cheese in the Trap’ beyond the original webtoon fans’ sharp eyes.
Seo Kang-Jun disclosed his feeling about the pressure he received from the original fans before shooting ‘Cheese in the Trap’ honestly at the interview had with the reporters recently. He said, “There were many malicious comments before the drama starts but seems like it disappeared a lot in these days” and he added “There were many malicious comments about me and the drama so I worried a lot. There were malicious comments when I shoot ‘Hwajung’ too and that weighed on my mind a lot.”
Seo Kang-Jun challenged historical drama through MBC ‘Hwajung’ but he received bad reviews in the beginning in fact. However he showed reliable acting skills in the second half of the drama.
He said, "I think I got better than ‘Hwajung’” and he added “I don’t think I’m good at acting though. I look at other senior actors’ actings and I think I’m not good enough. However, I think people give good review as I got better than when I played ‘Hwajung’”.
‘Cheese in the Trap’ is a ready-made drama. The drama filmed with plenty of time and Seo Kang-Jun also had plenty of time to concern about the drama and his acting. He shoots drama after reading previous scenes first. If we say he shoots episode 6, he reads episode 1 to 6 again and prepares Baek In-ho’s emotion perfectly. He says it takes over 6 hours to read previous episodes before he film the drama.
Seo Kang-Jun said “If I have to take episode 6, I clear up my mind and reads from episode 1 to 6 only” then he added “if I start the shooting after that, I can’t remember the rest of the story that I knew before. This is possible because it’s ready-made”.
He said “It takes over 6 hours to read every episode before shooting. I don’t read every single part but read my part only at least then it helps me to understand how In-ho felt so far” and made the reporters surprise. With help of his faithful attitude, he could act bad but kind hearted In-ho perfectly in ‘Cheese in the Trap’
Seo Kang-Jun debuted as an actor group 5URPRISE in 2013 and appeared through web drama ‘After School Missions’ for the first time. Then he appeared in ‘The Suspicious Housekeeper’, ‘The Murder’, ‘Cunning Single Lady’, ‘What Happens to My Family?’, ‘Hwajung’ and popular drama ‘Cheese in the Trap’ this time. Since the original work received great popularity, it brought controversy on the news it will be made as drama. This drama is receiving good review as a funny romantic comedy and Seo Kang-Jun is also receiving a great love too.
Seo Kang-Jun’s effort to act by immersed into the role and relaxed environment of ready-made drama helped him to receive those good reviews.
Seo Kang-Jun said “The ready-made drama is very good” and he added “I can say ‘I would like to take this scene again’ during the shooting”. Then he said “I can’t say that when I have to act with the part of the script and in pressing environment as a rookie actor” and he added “However, as I can say ‘I would like to take this scene again’ when I don’t like my acting at this drama therefore it is a drama the doesn’t leave regret for me. Seo Kang Joon’s Agency Takes Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters
After being the target of malicious rumors, actor Seo Kang Joon’s agency has decided to take action.
On March 19, Fantagio revealed that following the end of tvN’s “Cheese in the Trap,” Seo Kang Joon has continued to deal with vicious comments and malicious rumors.
His agency stated, “We have gathered senseless malicious comments and submitted petitions to the police. We plan on not having any favorable arrangements due to the great pains endured [through this ordeal]. Having had to silently suffer, we will be strongly punishing the malicious commenters.”
Meanwhile, Seo Kang Joon is currently appearing on SBS’s “Law of the Jungle” in Tonga.
