@HERMIT, I went last weekend so perhaps it's a recent thing. Either that or they offer it on select days such as weekends.
But yes, you are correct; it was Seoul BBQ and not Taegukgi that I went to. I believe it is closed now though because the sign looked different when I passed by on the road.
I have yet to reach the mythical tenth plate of briskets because the people I go with always feel "full" yet still have room for dessert

@HERMIT, was Taegukgi always located next to the former Sears? I could have sworn it was to the left of Manna (with the larger parking lot) because we didn't want to wait for the long lines at Manna and decided to find an adjacent restaurant that wasn't busy.
Also, I don't know if they always do this but on your way out they serve free red-bean paste waffles (in the shape of a fish) and a self-serve hot drink station (korean tea, hot chocolate, or cappuccino)...good stuff! -
Just realized the "global" (can't remember the exact name) sub-forum has been closed and all its threads have been scattered throughout the forums. :-O
Anyways, just wanted to say that Taegukgi is an excellent alternative to Manna when it comes to ayce kbbq. Immediately got seated on a Saturday evening, lots of spacious seating, and the waiters were very attentive and would refill water/condiments if they noticed you were running low on them. -

Building on your "investment" analogy, that means there's eventually going to be some kind of return right? It doesn't necessarily imply sex, but in more general terms like the girl sticking around and reciprocating the man's efforts (i.e. showing appreciation, returning favors, etc.) Just like the stock market, why would you invest in something if you thought it wasn't worthwhile? With that said, that "stingy" man could be re-interpreted as being cautious/prudent/not naive, etc. I think there's too much carpe diem/yolo indoctrination these days.

To summarize those two quotes of yours, a man wants a young/pretty girl and a girl wants a stable/wealthy man. Fair enough. This means that young guys and older women are both on the losing end in this proposition (though cougars/MILFs are out there on the prowl, looking for their "cubs.") Since you spoke about evolution in your post, you should have explained the man's point of view to be fair. A young/pretty girl is more fertile and has aesthetic traits that the man may want to see in his future children.

Yeah, it's an unfair double standard but lettuce be cereal: a woman has a statistically higher chance of getting laid than a guy will (because guys are more willing and all girls have to do is give them the "green" light). I hope I stated that as neutral as possible because that's just the way it is in this world.

The thing with "intelligent" conversations between genders is that it can be difficult to find common ground or interests. For an over-generalizing example, a girl might want to talk about celebrities/fashion while a guy might want to talk about the crisis in Ukraine or even some random WWII battle.
(is this why we always talk about the weather first?)
