class="entry-title" style="margin: 0px 0px 20px;"[TRANS] SBS’s new drama ‘Three Days’ ConceptFebruary 13, 2014 · rilanna

photo info_bg.jpg

1. In life-or-death crisis…

People who are trained to accept death 365 days a year.As the shields that lives to protect the head of state of South Korea,The Presidential Security Service bodyguards of the Blue House.Their principle is to dedicate their life to always protect the President.Even if the President commits any corruption or crimeEven if it is not worth dying for instead…The bodyguards gladly give their lives for the President.Because to protect the President who was elected by the votes of people is to protect the representative democracy. They do not say “I’ll be back” when leaving their homes…Standing on the front line of national security, they depict in details the hidden inner thoughts of the bodyguards who protect the President.

2. ‘Three Days’ – The record of 9 days

Act 1 – Opening act of battleAct 2 – Decisive battleAct 3 – JudgmentEach limited to 72 hours, the record of 9 days. When there is somebody trying to kill the President, someone must protect the President.Over the time span of a day ticking down minute by minute, they must uncover beyond the tension the stories of a group of various people.

3. Because with them, we can “move towards the truth.”

The President, bodyguards, politicians, soldiers, policemen, lawyers… [they are actually] someone’s child, parent, spouse, friend…The many complex characters in the drama, even the villains are good guys; even if they act according to their beliefs and principles, they will be troubled because of an instant of wavering. But there will be those who have sincere hearts, who uphold their principles and beliefs, and hold fast to their duty.Their principle seems simple but it is actually not easy at all.So they may sway, and think of trying an easier path, in the end…They can only go back to the beginning….Through them, even if there is just 1% of not giving up, the righteousness that may be able to change the world can be shown.

In Korea, people celebrating Valentine’s Day on February 14, when the women give chocolates to men. Then on March 14, they celebrate White Day, when the men gift candy to the women.

Although the members initially got the days mixed up, they eventually corrected each other and hoped everyone have a good Valentine’s Day.

After reaching South Korea, it was my first time visiting filming set. I felt a bit excited. The whole group of us standing in line outside of the salon waiting for oppa to come. The weather was cold but everyone was totally anticipating it. After we waited around 1 hour, oppa’s van reached. Although we were nervous, we kept ourselves calm. Everyone was watching quietly.

After coming out from his van, he was walking very slowly, wearing UGG slippers, casual training trousers, coffee coloured down coat and a cap. We shouted “YuChun fighting!” at his direction. Oppa was smiling at us sideways and nodded to us and continued to walk slowly to the salon. After 40minutes, oppa came out with a 2:8 ratio hairstyle, wearing his down coat, script in his hands. Tae Kyung looked like an elite! After reaching the filming site, we could not go nearer because it was a half body shot inside the car. We could only stand afar, not able to see clearly the details of the shooting. In the middle of the shooting a by-passer stopped her car and asked us who was doing filming. We answered “Park YuChun”. She was so excited that she shouted, “Owh! Park YuChun!” The filming staffs all looked to our direction upon hearing. Indeed, oppa is charismatic enough (to get people’s attention). During rest time, oppa was sitting in his car, a group of the filming staffs were surrounding him. Oppa made everyone of them laughing so hard. Indeed our oppa is the mood maker of the filming site. After coming out of his car, oppa saw Son Hyun joo sunbae. He greeted and bowed to his sunbae politely. They chatted a while and YuChun jogged back to his own van. (Only now did we realise that the afternoon oppa was wearing his UGG slippers.) After awhile, oppa started his shooting once again. After his shooting completed, as we were standing behind YuChun’s van, we were able to see clearly oppa bowed and said his goodbyes to the filming staffs before jogged back lightly in small steps back to his van, with his fists clenched while pouting his small lips (The level of cuteness please imagine it yourself, I am not able to describe it perfectly).

C-JeS Entertainment and AVEX come to an agreement on JYJ-related matters

JYJ_1392523612_af_org.jpg

C-JeS Entertainment and AVEX's long legal battle has been resolved.

On the 16th, C-JeS Entertainment wrote on their official homepage, "C-JeS (JYJ) and AVEX has agreed to end all the legal battles we have had. C-JeS (JYJ) and AVEX will no longer meddle in each other's affairs."

Last year in January, AVEX was told to stop asserting their sole management rights for JYJ in Japan, and were told to pay C-JeS Entertainment 660,000,000 JPY (about 6.5 million USD) in damages.

C-JeS said, "After our win last year, AVEX appealed the ruling. In the end, through the Tokyo High Court's mediation, we were able to settle on an agreement."

C-JeS' CEO Baek Chang Joo said, "We're thankful that the Japanese judicial branch gave us the 1st ruling of securing JYJ's Japanese promotions, and also for them for leading the 2nd agreement. With this, we have finished all fights related to the Japanese promotions. Now that AVEX and JYJ have agreed not to interfere in each others' business, it means a lot in that JYJ's Japanese promotions are officially confirmed as being secured legally. We are happy that JYJ's long legal fight has all finished, and we hope to meet Japanese fans more often and closer through stages."

Park Yoo Chun is cast as presidential bodyguard Han Tae Kyung, and is seen carrying a gun while wearing an earpiece in the poster. Son Hyun Joo who is playing the president, is seen displaying a calm and charismatic image, which is not too dissimilar to that of Yoo Chun.

‘Three Days’ is a drama that revolves around the disappearance of the president while he was on vacation at his villa. It will take viewers to the prelude of war, face-off, and the trial in the span of 9 days of the desperate attempt to save the president from harm.

class="entry-title" style="margin: 0px 0px 20px;"[EDITORIAL] 140216 KpopStarz: Yoochun, From Joseon Scholar To Presidential BodyguardFebruary 17, 2014 · rilanna

photo yoochun_kdrama.jpgPark Yoochun has mastered the Joseon drama and is to become an action star.

JYJ‘s Park Yoochun will be returning to Korean drama on March 5th in the thrilling SBS political drama Three Days. Based on the American television series 24Three Days chronicles the quest of bodyguard Han Tae Kyung (Yoochun) as he attempts to locate the missing Korean president, in order to safely return him to the Blue House. While 24 focused on a series of events which took place in one day, Three Days examine the seventy-two hour period in which the president must be found. Three Days will air in the slot currently occupied by You Who Came From The Stars.

The Comedic Scholar

photo yoochun_kdrama.jpgYoochun as Lee Sun Joon.

While many idol actors have allowed themselves to be pigeonholed as the flower boy or the heartless chaebol, Yoochun has diversified his acting repertoire to include more innovative roles. Although, Yoochun acted in prior roles, his rise to K-drama fame began with the 2010 historical comedy Sungkyunkwan ScandalSungkyunkwan Scandal starred Park Min Young as a woman who entered the highest educational institute in the Joseon Dynasty by impersonating a man. The dynamic between Park Min Young’s Kim Yoon Hee and Yoochun’s Lee Sun Joon won over audiences, especially those who did not normally watch period dramas. Yoochun and Park Min Young received critical acclaim for Sungkyunkwan Scandal, which also launched actor Song Joong Ki into stardom. With clever writing and plot twists, Sungkyunkwan Scandal enabled Yoochun to display a diversified emotional range. In 2011, Yoochun starred in the melodrama Miss RipleyMiss Ripley was loosely based on an actual case in which an academic was accused of fabricating her credentials and defrauding her peers. Yoochun was cast in the role of Song Yoo Hyun, which was a departure from Lee Sun Joon. However, the complexity of the character would later be revisited by Yoochun.

The Time Slip Drama That Paved The Way For ‘You Who Came From The Stars’

photo yoochun_kdrama.jpgYoochun rocked the track suit in ‘Rooftop Prince’ before Crayon Pop brought them back into fashion.

Rooftop Prince, a 2012 time slip drama starring Yoochun, is widely recognized as one of the most beloved Korean dramas. Rooftop Prince combined elements of fantasy and romantic comedy, serving as precursor for dramas such as You Who Came From The Stars. Yoochun was cast opposite actress Han Ji Min, with the actors playing dual roles as the drama switched between modern day New York and Korea, as well as Joseon Dynasty era Korea. Audiences empathized with the brokenhearted Prince Lee Gak (Yoochun) as he attempted to assimilate into modern Korean society through the aid of Park Ha (Han Ji Min). Along with his tracksuit-clad friends from the past, Prince Lee Gak remains one of the most interesting Korean drama characters.

Melodramas Are A Testimony To Acting Ability

Yoochun followed the success of Rooftop Prince with the tear jerking melodrama I Miss You. Yoochun and Yoon Eun Hye brilliantly portrayed an ill-fated high school couple who continued to be haunted by a series of events into adulthood. At the point in which Han Jung Woo relocates his high school sweetheart Lee Soo Yeon (Yoon Eun Hye), she has assumed a separate identity to disavow knowledge of her past. With his portrayal of Han Jung Woo, Yoochun solidified his capability as an actor capable of portraying almost any role.

“How can I… protect the President.I must be able to risk my life.. for the PresidentAs a person of merit.”

Han Tae Kyung by Park Yuchun

Doesn’t even miss the noise of the wind

Will not let go of any news

Security Service bodyguard, in his late 20s

He has the animal instinct that does not allow anyone tailing or following.
He is very determined. He never falls back.
He is full of energy and very stubborn.
Yet, he is highly praised for how professional he is.
He is the ‘monster’ that never let anyone slip through his fingers.

Other than his father, the people that he has the most respect towards are
Ahn Jung-geun (a Korean independence activist, nationalist, and pan-Asianist, who assassinated the Prime Minister of Japan) and Yu Gwan-sun (a female student who organized the March 1st Movement against the Japanese colonial rule of Korea).

He always chokes up whenever he hears patriotic songs since he was small.

When he encounters people being bullied, he gets hot-blooded and excited unconsciously.

He thinks that protecting and watching out for someone is his calling and he is proud of it. Therefore, Taekyung has become the Presidential Security Service bodyguard of the Blue House and he’s determined of his choice.

However, since his father, the only family he has, suddenly died, the faith he had before crumbled like the high city walls after being struck. He began to have doubts that he has never had before.

“What exactly do I protect the President for?

Is the President someone that I should protect with my life?”

Taekyung hasn’t found the answer to that question.

As the president’s security service bodyguard, to save the president in danger, he has to run and run nonstop.

Maybe he can find the answer some day.

At the same time that he has the image of being a singer, you also hear him being called an actor; there’s no awkwardness since he has picked multiple plays wisely. Scheduled to broadcast soon, his new project is receiving a lot of attention from people already. And although there’s seems to be interests in the ‘top two’ formation [T/N: combination] of him with Son Hyun Joo, the main reason that’s drawing attention is the expectations in Park Yuchun’s acting spectrum further expanding.

photo parkyoochun.jpg

It is being reported that despite a shoulder injury, Park Yoochun will continue to film for his upcoming drama “Three Days.”

A representative of C-JES Entertainment told reporters, “Since last week Yoochun had been complaining about pain in his arm. We took an MRI and discovered that he had hurt his shoulder ligaments. The hospital told us that it would take about three months of recovery to heal.”

Despite this, it seems that the dedicated actor will continue his filming. His agency rep continued, “We will adjust the schedule appropriately, and afterwards do what is necessary for his shoulder. The management is making plans to prevent any future complications.”

The drama “Three Days” had been delayed quite a bit before, even to the point where there were rumors of Yoochun dropping out of the drama. However, the drama went back to a schedule and just released a trailer and character posters. Hopefully, Yoochun and the drama staff members will be careful to avoid any further injury for him.

[NEWS] Park Yoochun pulls a ligament in his shoulder while filming “Three Days”

tumblr_inline_n1aq6thbzN1rcuxz9.jpg

On the 20th of February, a staff member for the SBS drama “Three Days” has announced that Park Yoochun had pulled a ligament in his shoulder while filming for an episode.

Apparently, he pulled it around 10 days before the announcement and that he had an MRI and a complete medical examination at a hospital in Seoul on the 19th.

Playing the role of the President’s body guard, Park Yoochun is required to shoot difficult action scenes, and thus this may have led to him pulling his ligament.

Due to this, production staff are at an emergency situation, as he is the protagonist in the drama, and recovering from the pulled ligament is said to take around 3 months. Furthermore, pulling a ligament in the shoulder is known to be very painful, yet due to tight schedules, they have no choice but to continue on with the shooting, despite his injury.

They have announced that they will be holding an emergency conference, and that they will decide on what approach to take on this issue.

Meanwhile, the new drama “Three Days” is planned to start airing on the 5th of March.

JYJ3′s note: Please continue to support ‘Three Days’ since Yoochun put hard work and a lot of effort into doing his best, even though he got hurt and was in pain.

Actor Park Yuchun, handicapped with a shoulder injury, is intensely passionate about acting.

Park Yuchun became known to be persuaded to have surgery at the hospital. Needing treatment for more than 3 months in order to shoot ‘Three Days’, Park Yuchun plans on postponing surgery and (instead) maintain filming while going to get hospital treatment for the time being.

Park Yuchun suffered an injury in his shoulder during the middle of filming SBS new Wed-Thurs mini-series ‘Three Days’. The MRI photographing result shows he had stretched his shoulder ligament.

On this, Park Yuchun will wear a safeguard and receive outpatient treatment, except when filming; his management indicates that they will watch his progress.
