Mean! Mad anticipating these lives particularly looking forward to their performance of 'Dear, Boy' which is my babyyy off the album right after

'두고두고' .. damn I love 2Ye's duet.. it's bang on R&b/soul.. and I love it.

I never thought that almost all of their new songs would be in the top 10 in various charts in Korea. 

I thought it's only going to be 1-3 songs like the other artists.

But what's this? Its ALL-KILL. This is the first time that I've seen an artist does this. 

I'm really thankful to God for this one. 

Now, I'm praying that WG would win this Friday in Music Bank~

Like in their "So Hot" before, they made a comeback but won on the same day too.

Brief summary: Melon (40%) dominates the digital market. Bugs & Dorisak (now Olleh) usually compete for 2nd place (15% each in years past), but had slipped to 11% each the past year, with Soribada (20%) vaulting ahead. Mnet (10%) holds steady at 5th. The rest split the remaining 10%, with the media typically seeing Cyworld & Monkey3 as the 6th & 7th major players. Hanteo was the major CD chart until Gaon was created to officially represent the industry.

the girls doing so good in the online charts but I just checked Hanteo chart and Im kind disppointed that so far they only sold 803 copies

I didn't want to spoil everyone's optimism the past few days, opting for the reality check to reveal itself. Hope the comedown wasn't too hard. By all means, join K-WFs in bulk-purchasing the album if you want, but don't expect any major boost. 

As a company, JYPE doesn't sell CDs well at all in Korea. SME is the dominant player (selling as high as 200,000 units), followed by Mnet Media (100,000 units) who distributes for YGE & DSP among others. Warner Music has climbed to third (80,000 units), thanks to JYJ. Leon Entertainment, who distributes for JYP Nation, is a distant 4th (50,000).

Even at WG's peak, the girls sold modestly in the 50,000 range with the Tell Me, So Hot, Nobody CDs. The Wonder Years remains their top bestseller (about 75,000 if correct). 2DT sold 30,000 CDs last year, which was very respectable (contrary to international WFs' perception). 

But JYPE tends to sell digital albums fantastically well (as high as 3 million).

arghh the whole album has been on repeat all day for me, I'm supposed to be studying for my exam but I can't help but play it in the background lol

I still don't like BMB much, maybe because its composition is so simple and such a typical predictable jyp song (verse 1-verse2-chorus1-chorus2) as prevalent in tell me, nobody, 2dt, bad girl good girl, goodbye baby .. in anycase, LOVING Stop, G.N.O, Me,In, Girls Girls & Dear.Boy the most. I'm so happy they'll be singing three songs for the comeback but hopefully the girls take care of their health

Wonder Girls return to S.Korea with ‘Wonder World’

The group plans to return to S.Korea before moving on to perform in the U.S. next year

K-pop group Wonder Girls has returned to South Korea for the first time in a year and a half with their second album release, “Wonder World.” It is its first domestic release after the mini-album that was released in May 2010, “2 Different Tears.”

During an interview at Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul’s Nonhyun neighborhood on Nov. 4, Wonder Girls members appeared excited with nervous anticipation. Their eyes glittered with excitement when they expressed their feelings about the come-back stage and meeting the fans again. At the end of the interview, some of the members shed tears.

The new album features “Be My Baby” as the title song; “The Beauty,” a remake-song that Yenny has participated in its songwriting; “Dugo-dugo,” Sun and Yenny’s duet song. Wonder Girls‘ beauty of maturity stands out in the cover of the album. So-hee, the youngest member, said, “I am in my 20s now. We don’t try to show off the beauty of maturity. It just comes out naturally.”

The Wonder Girls plan to perform their first come-back performance at Music Bank on KBS 2TV, November 11.

Sun said, “We wanted to enjoy performing in South Korea, observing those of many other girl groups.” She commented the group‘s rival group, Girls’ Generation, saying, “They have a different music style, reaching the public at the angles that we cannot.”

Wonder Girls plan to perform in the U.S. early next year, starting with the broadcasting of the movie titled “Wonder Girls at the Apollo” on a cable channel, TeenNick. This 60-minute-long movie that was filmed in Los Angeles is about the friendship and love between the members of Wonder Girls. An official album will be released in the U.S. next year in January or February.

Wonder Girls' busy schedule starts now. I would really like to thank them. I can't wait to see everything. I hope they stay healthy. 

I'm so happy that the girls are getting 3 songs for the Mubank comeback. Thank you KBS!  

Yeeun says she's not a cry baby, but when it comes to the Wonder Girls and Wonderfuls, she is a cry baby.  

If the girls really do attend the year end show, I might cry. 

I have read that the girls cried at an interiew talking about how much they have missed Korea and fans, and I teared up too. We've been with them all these years, we are clear on how they are feeling. We feel the same. 

If another group is bulk buying for this week and next week, we can bulk buy for the next weeks etc. 

I'm definitely buying more than one copy. I love the album so much! 

Also, I am quite confident with Wonder Girls' digital sales. sm's digital sales are not as great as their phyiscal.

Wonder Girls′ Sun Calls Girls’ Generation Partners

With the Wonder Girls returning to Korea, many are chattering excitedly about the supposed rivalry between Girls′ Generation and Wonder Girls - but is it really something to be talking about?

Wonder Girls emphasized that people shouldn’t be concentrating on the group’s rivalry with Girls’ Generation, but more on the diverse music produced by the two groups.

In a recent interview with enews, Wonder Girls first revealed their thoughts on its competition with Girls’ Generation. Wonder Girls released its second studio album on November 7 and picked up where it left off in Korea a year and a half ago. Coincidentally, the group’s comeback falls in the middle of Girls’ Generation’s promotion for its own third studio album, The Boys.

“All of the members of Girls’ Generation are very pretty. They’re all cool onstage and when they’re on variety shows, they’re entertaining," said the group leader, Sun. "Actually, we don’t have any members who are so great with words or can entertain on variety shows, so we’re envious of those skills."

“Actually, when we see their different colors, they push us on in many different ways. We’ve never promoted our songs at the same time; this is the first time," added Sun. "It’s probably much fun to pitch us against them in a rivalry, but now, since K-Pop is becoming ever more popular around the world, we hope both groups grow together as partners rather than competitors as fellow girl groups who do idol music."

"In that sense, Girls’ Generation is our partner, but just with a different name," said Sun. "We’re especially thankful to Girls’ Generation because they’re singers who can satisfy what we can’t. I hope we can come together in a good stage at the end of the year and wrap up this year with a festival and music."

When it was pointed out that in a competition there can’t be two winners, Sun said with confidence, “There’s nothing else to it than to do our best in every performance. Fortunately, we’ve done music that’s easy for everyone to enjoy. We believe it will be that way this time also.”

Wonder Girls released its second studio album Wonder World on November 7, and will be promoting its first single cut Be My Baby. The sensual dance routines for Be My Baby were put together by Jonte, the choreographer for Beyonce’s Single Lady.

I was going to wait until the MV for Me, In comes out before I actually listen to the song, but I couldn't resist!!!! GOSH I love this song. So I completely understand why they went with Please Be My Baby first, Me, In is a much stronger fiercer song. Absolutely love this album!!!
