KUALA LUMPUR: Lebih 50,000 penonton yang hadir ke konsert TWIN Towers@live 2010 di taman Pusat Konvensyen Kuala Lumpur (KLCC), Jumaat.

Kebanyakannya begitu 'histeria' ketika kemunculan kumpulan pop dari Korea, Wonder Girls dan kumpulan rock dari Amerika, Hoobastank.

Konsert percuma sempena sambutan 'Malaysian Grand Prix' bermula pukul 8 malam itu dimulakan dengan persembahan artis tempatan iaitu Yuna, The Azenders dan Bunkface yang turut menjadi tumpuan ramai.

Selepas artis tempatan membuat persembahan masing-masing, pada pukul 10.30 malam, ramai penonton yang memekik nama wonder girls.

Sementara menanti kemunculan kumpulan itu, hos Aishah sinclair dan Will Quah menemubual penonton dan memberikan cenderamata sempena konsert tersebut.

Beberapa minit selepas itu, kemunculan lima wanita yang terdiri dari Sun-Ye, Yu-Bin, Ye-Eun, Hye-Rim dan So-Hee membuat ramai yangbersorak riang.

Antara lagu yang dinyanyikan oleh Wonder Girls adalah Two Different Tears, So Hot, Tell Me dan No Body.

Kehadiran Wonder Girls menjadi kegilaan para peminat tidak mengira usia.

Lebih-lebih apabila mereka menyebut perkataan 'we love you all (kami sayang kamu semua)', lagi bertambah sorakan penonton.

Penulis sempat berbual dengan peminat kumpulan itu dari Kerinchi, di sini yang menghafal setiap tajuk lagu yang dinyanyikan oleh kumpulan tersebut.

Begitu juga dengan sepasang penonton berasal dari Korea Selatan yang bekerja di sini selama tiga tahun yang menarik perhatian penulis.

Mereka begitu terhibur dan tidak segan menari ketika menonton persembahan kumpulan yang berasal dari negara asal mereka itu.

Menjelang 11.30 malam, baru Hoobastank muncul dengan mendendangkan lagu popular mereka seperti The Reason, Crawling in the Dark, Running Away dan beberapa lagu baru mereka.

Biarpun bilangan penonton semakin berkurang, suasana meriah tetap kedengaran di tambah dengan bunyi bingit muzik daripada kumpulan rock itu.

Konsert ini berlangsung selama dua malam sehingga Sabtu, 9 April.

Antara artis yang akan menghiburkan penonton pada hari kedua adalahJoe Flizzow, Mizz Nina, Colby O'Donis dan Earth, Wind and Fire dengan gabungan penyanyi lagenda AL McKAY.

Penonton dinasihatkan untuk menaiki kenderaan awam kerana Jalan Ampang dan Jalan P Ramlee akan ditutup pada pukul 7 malam hingga 1 pagi semasa konsert tersebut berlangsung.

Sempena konsert tersebut, RapidKL akan memanjangkan waktu perjalanan kemudahan LRT, Monorail dan bas sehingga pukul 1.30 pagi pada Jumaat dan Sabtu.

Wonder Girls’ Sohee and Yubin want to be cute?

Wonder Girls‘ Yeeun has been catching up with fans by revealing recent photos of the girls.

On April 9th, Yeeun tweeted,

“Sohee and Yub who want to be cute keke“

In the photo, Yubin, Yeeun, and Sohee are making cute facial expressions by protruding their lips. In particular, ‘mandoo (dumpling)’ Sohee is capturing attention because she seems to have lost her charming chubby cheeks while preparing for the Wonder Girls’ upcoming album.

Netizens commented, “They’re not trying to be cute, they are cute” and “I wish they would hurry and make their comeback“.

The Wonder Girls are hoping to comeback sometime in May or June, and have been focusing on their album production.

Hong Kong Wen Wei Po (reporter Zhang Weimin) Popular Korean girlgroup WONDERGIRLS (WG) performed in Kuala Lumpur on April 8 to kick off the prologue to the local leg of the Formula One world championship. Group members Yoobin & Yeeun were having fun taking selcas before the show; they then eagerly tweeted them online so that the fans & the public can share the mirth too. Onstage, WG wore sleeveless tops & hot pants as they sang & danced. The opening bars of the well-known 'Nobody' thrilled the already 'high' audience, & their scorching performance prompted incessant cheers from those downstage.

I really hope the rumor of wonder girls album in September is true! We get double dose of wonder girls which will be so awesome. I just hope it's not their English album translated into Korean. I don't know how feasible or realistic it is for them to have completely different songs for their Korean comeback if they do end up having one this year!

And i think it's pretty much authentic judging from their marketing strategy! It's a good thing if you ask me!hohohoho!! I just wish that the songs will be a 'daebak' in today's Kpop criteria! actually nervous and excited since Kpop's standard is really high at the moment!

I'm glad someone confirmed for us when they will have their Korea comeback but I kind find it weird that they will release their Korean album after 3 months of their debut American album.

@wonder23 do u have any idea if Betty also confirmed how long their korean comeback promotion will be?

ROFL after the concert the girls found some WG wannabees playing at the hotel. Obviously they were all pumped up and delivered a Nobody jam a tad over the lines.

In a sense it's a small price to pay for stardom.

I'm still digesting the financial figures, first impression is that I expected better ones.

The American tour helped improve the year result, but the expenses are enormous compared to that.

Still, I think that in 2010 the Asian activities and commercials should have earned much more than in 2009, so it's probable that they're accounted for in the main Jype Korea balances.

The 2010 US activities could have had a positive effect on the girls image, reinforcing their International Star status, and maybe accrued their market value for the Asian concerts and other activities.

But it's evident that the American market venture cannot last forever on these financial bases. So I am a bit concerned because the next album US promotions should be lasting enough to squeeze all the dough possible and turn the investment into a successful mission, but balancing that with a full-fledged Korean promotion is not easy.

I hope the rumour about the comeback in Korea is true too! I would like to see their Kcomeback. I wonder how long their promotions will be. It doesn't really matter though. I'm happy with anything from the girls.

exactly this is why I dont get why JYP will make the girls have their korean comeback in September which is not that long after the release of their american debut album

to be honest Im happy that the girls will have a Korean comeback but in the same time I dont think coming back in September is the right time I think the girls should promote and concentrate in their US album and make the girls have their Korean comeback later on like in November or December...I dont get why JYP will rush in making the girls release 2 albums around the same time and make them jump from one place to another

G.NA mentioned Yubin in a recent interview.

When asked if she still keeps in contact with her Five Girls groupmates, she replied, “I still keep in contact with Hyosung, UEE, and Yubin through my manager. We’re all still very close.”

On the other hand, G.na used to be active with the former group Five Girls. She was active with Hyosung, Uee and Yubin. G.na said, “Even now, I contact with Hyosung, Uee and Yubin through my manager. We remain in a friendly relationship.”

Its kind of sad they were called Five Girls and the girls only talk about the four who are popular. As far as I know, G.na and Yubin have only mentioned Jiwon once.
