Malaysian WFs have an update about a new ticket tier for the Genting concert, but no news whether this includes a meet-&-greet yet.

[sTARPLANET TO MYWF] FYI, we will open VVIP ticket for sales on the launch date, the price shall be scaled to RM 550 per ticket (limited seat open for launch).

The Korean blogosphere is giving the Monster Beats launch party some publicity.

It still looks more like a corporate function, unless bloggers also got invitations (ala Sony Ericsson with WG's SG showcase).

One source said the expected crowd size is 800, so the buzz should be good.

Interesting note: Korea's O Shopping (cjmall.com) is the event co-sponsor. Did they get the distribution rights for the headphones?

Just my two cents (or rants )

I'm always keeping my faith in JYP plans for the girls, though sometimes the man has become inscrutable this year.

He did keep a low profile for most time, I suppose to avoid more flak being thrown at him and - through him - to the girls, because of SunMi, Jay, etc... He did surface at the Konga room, in NYC, in Hawaii - but I seriously missed him always sticking by the girls side.

I've also come to believe that the album launch is so strategic that the date could be sliding further if the necessity arises. The salvo of songs released in Korea shows the man being as good as always, but keeping the ball rolling for Miss A, 2PM, 2AM, San E, J-Lim, and the girls is not a simple task.

But all my doubts disappear when I reflect about how pro the girls have become this year (in terms of stage presence, endurance, being at ease communicating with fans from different cultures, ...). The girls indeed were seeded in the US in 2009 and now they're growing.

Take the easiness it took them getting to Europe and doing their thang while sleep-deprived by jet lag. The Arirang Aving video shows many in the public (non-wonderfuls) captivated by their stage. Easy to do? Not.

Now I guess it's just a matter of when they will face the US public at large. And what songs are in store for then.

BTW I estimated the daily views of Nobody on Youtube at an average of 190000 a day since monday. I wonder if the Asian or K-Wonderfuls are behind that -- it's impressive.

if anyone hasn't heard yet: B2ST has been announced as the 5th Kpop act for Mnet Ultimate Singapore. No WG or 4Minute... T_T

With 4 boy bands (OneDay & MBLAQ are the others) on board, I expect the Mnet Ultimate crowd's gonna be 90, 95 percent teenage girls. Urrgh, no thanks. Sorry, missA (the other performer).

Right now, the long distance to Genting isn't enticing either, esp. the drive back home....

Gonna check around to see what scalpers are asking for the Korean Pop Nite tickets (Big Bang, SNSD) next weekend.
