The movie is not a film version Of Yoshimoto's book. Just a same title. That's all. And it's not a definate one. 가제 (Kaje) means a temp title.

Kitchen is entirely a different story from Banana Yoshimoto's novel.

After a busy morning to prepare for the celebration, Morae goes to an art gallery to find a

M-Line pre-sells Kitchen to Japan's Showgate

Jean Noh in Santa Monica

New Korean sales outfit M-Line has pre-sold romantic drama Kitchen to Showgate for Japan.

The $1.2m film is due for a February 2009 release in Korea. Starring Ju Ji-hun, from the pan-Asian TV series Princess Hour, the film follows members of a suicide club who end up in a gruesome survival game against a faceless murderer.

Showgate also previously acquired Ju-starrer Antique from Fine Cut, and looks to push both titles on consecutive release.

Founded by Michelle Son, former head of international business at Showeast, M-Line also handles Showeast titles, of which it sold horror film To Sir With Love to I-ON Media for Germany.

“The Korean film ‘Kitchen,’ by Jeon Soo-il, is receiving interest among Asian buyers, as the film stars Korean heartthrob, Ju Ji-hun, from the hit TV drama ‘Princess Hours,’” Michelle Son, the managing director of M-Line said."

Oh... When I heard about this movie, I really hoped that it's the movie-version of Banana Yoshimoto novel... Because I kinda love this book, and Ji Jun seems to fit the character Yuichi perfectly...

Uhm... I can't access the gallery http://s324.photobucket.com/albums/k353/2009kitchen/ , who know why? :sweatingbullets:
