Like everyone else, I was getting quite irritated with this show. But today I was watching ep 145 and realized that when I step back and break from the "Saebyuk-Hose" spell, the surrounding storylines are actually pretty interesting. I think Nam Gyung Woo is a really cool guy, and his story with SooBin is interesting (although SooBin isn't quite getting the comeuppance she deserves). I think SooBin's parents' situation is also flowing really smoothly. And I also like the situation with SoYoung and Jo Sang Kee.

The worst storyline right now is Saebyuk's, and it really irritated me, because I was really into that couple, especially around ep 100-ish. But if you start looking at the other story lines, I think you'll find that YAMD is still a very strong show.

Oh, no the writer/PD should not prolong our agony. I hope they finish this up & start the new drama. I want to see YAMD take a bow with at least half of us here in the thread.

I can't help but compare the acting of the two leads in the KBS drama that ended last night, the Matchmaker's Lover. Of course, Kim Ji-hun & Kim Min-hee are more senior than PJJ & Yoona, but the roles they portrayed did not demand high-flying dramatic scenes but a realistic performance of ordinary lovers. KJH & KMH acted their roles convincingly, like real lovers, behaviors normal to two people in love ... when they talk, they talk like there are only the two of them in the world, & when they hug, they hug with closed eyes & hold each other tight. They look into each other's eyes like they're reading each other's minds with understanding. I'm not saying PJJ & Yoona should kiss passionately the way the ML lovers kissed ... no, not at all, but at least please give us the benefit of watching a true-to-life behavior between newlyweds. They were just married for about a week? As mentioned earlier by other posters of this thread, what is SB doing with those loosely hanging arms as HS hugs her, no feelings at all. What is she communicating to the viewers? NOTHING! SB is first a wife to HS before she is a daughter, a sister & a DIL. That's her primary duty.

Carmina, I couldn't agree with you more. I am waiting for the first real post marriage hugs and intimacy from this couple. I feel that there was more passion when they ran away from home then they are showing now that the relationship is legitimate. It seems that HS is the one in love and SB is just going along for the ride. I'm sticking with the drama because I've come this far, but I don't know where the writers are going with the storyline and hope that the show doesn't drag out much longer. Romantic that I am, I haven't seen Matchmaker's Lover, and will have to see if I can find some episodes on it. When I need my quick fix of romance, I switch over to Pure 19 or LON.

Poor HS, no romance before, during or after the marriage. There better not be a miraculous baby in the end, I'll feel so cheated. Especially since we've seen no episodes of the covers being thrown over both of them. :blush:

Thanks ahoxan for these links. This drama though did not fare well at the ratings board found its way to the hearts of K drama followers who are after quality. Poor me, I didn't pay much attention to this drama which IMO will turn out to be one of the best produced this year.
