Guest Jill4675
Adorable! In one of the interviews, Jung Il Woo said that when they first started filming, the director kept telling him to stop smiling. I guess he smiles a lot more than Iljimae's character. Cute! Tomorrow's episode looks exciting! New ending credits, too! Yes...tomorrow's episode looks exciting...and I love the new end credits, but they are scary... ... cutiepie, I think you are the ideal person to take over the opening post! The aforementioned brothel scene ... as hjkomo said: adorable! I continue to be enamored of the through-the-door/window shots: This was such a great sequence: The life of a superhero's GF is not easy... This drama continues to deliver great stuff: episode after episode, and week after week...
Guest hjkomo
The life of a superhero's GF is not easy... But tomorrow, she gives some of it right back to him. Right before she jumps, she tells him - Well done/Good for you. {Edit:} Take care. This drama continues to deliver great stuff: episode after episode, and week after week... It certainly does!!!! I am constantly in awe that it gets better with each episode!!!

Guest hjkomo
Ep. 16 (first part) After crying over Iljimae's departure, Wol Hee decides to go after him. It's only Kyung Sang Do, after all, and she'd even follow him to the ends of the earth. Goo Ja Myung, Soo Ryun, and Jung Tae depart for Kyung Sang Do. Cha Dol tries to convince Bae Seon Dal to go there as well. Bak Bi Su introduces two brothers, Sung Dong and Sung Soo, who will help catch Iljimae. Bak Bi Su tells him men that Iljimae has gone to Kyung Sang Do, so they should watch the roads for his return. Yeol Gong comes to visit Wol Hee and Geol Chi, but no one is home. He figures they have gone after Iljimae...and cites a proverb - What can one do when a cloud chases after the wind? Kim Ja Jeom goes over the accounts of the money that the other nobles have given him to catch Iljimae. It amounts to more than the value of the gold that Iljimae stole from him. He says, of course, they should make a profit when doing business. He instructs his steward to take the money to the countryside, but make sure there are no mistakes this time. Chief Ji speaks to his Bongseoni gang, which now has combined with Haedongcheong members whom he freed from jail. They are all comrades now. However, Iljimae is on their trail, and he interfere in their planned heist in for days. Baek Mae returns to her home and feeds her kitten. Flashback to GJM telling her that Iljimae came looking for her after she had left GJM's house, and he ate the food she had made. She tells GJM that she cannot return with him to his house yet, but she will go back to her home and wait for the day that the three of them can live together. Meanwhile, GJM also remembers their night together. ~ This part at the inn was amusing. Day 1 - Goo Ja Myung, Jung Tae, Soo Ryun Night 1 - Iljimae and Yang Po Day 2 - Cha Dol & Bae Seon Dal Night 2 - Geol Chi & Wol Hee GJM, SR, and Jung Tae stop at an inn on their way Kyung Sang Do and expect to arrive by nightfall. That night, Iljimae and Yang Po are arrive at the same inn. IJM asks how long Yang Po is going to keep following him. Yang Po asks how long IJM is going to continue living this way...chasing thieves and punishing those in power. Will that change the world? IJM says he's not interested in things like changing the world. IJM vows to find the reason for (??) or else disappear. Yang Po advises him to go the disappearing route. The next day, Cha Dol and Bae Seon Dal stop at the same inn and hear that someone matching IJM's description was there the night before. That night, Geol Chi and Wol Hee arrive at the inn. Wol Hee's feet hurt and Geol Chi tries to convince her to turn around and go back home. Kyung Sang Do is a big place, he says...but Wol Hee is determined to find Iljimae. Geol Chi says what's the point, when all she's going to do is run and hug him. WH says, when she finds him, she's going to hit him and kick him until he promises not to do that (leave) again. Geol Chi says that won't be enough. They should break IJM's legs, so he can't leave. WH and GC visit a fortuneteller, who tells them he's close AND far away. Their not happy with her answer and demand their money back. They're thrown out and dumped with a bowl of urine. GJM and the police provide escort for some goods in order to trap the thieves. Meanwhile, the thieves lie in wait and wonder if Iljimae will appear. IJM attacks the thieves with shurikens, and their shouts of pain are heard by the police. They discover the dead bodies, and GJM surmises it's the work of IJM. Wang Hweng Bo, Chief Ji, and Sung Ge wonder what's taking their men so long...IJM appears and asks Wang Hweng Bo if it was fun impersonating him. He tells them they've fallen into a trap and surpresses them until the police arrive. Wol Hee and Geol Chi look for a place to stay, and a women says they can't stay there because (??), but there's a summer pavilion nearby with an attached room. (Sorry, couldn't understand all the saturi.) GC tells WH they should go back tomorrow because they've run out of food, and who knows...IJM may have already returned to their house. WH says IJM will not have returned yet. He never would have left if he was going to return. WH says she won't go back until she sees IJM. As IJM is following Wang Hweng Bo's footprints, he hears the sound of a weolgeum. He follows the sound of the music to the pavilion. He is shocked to see WH. IJM's angry that WH followed him there. He has business to take care of. WH asks if she's a burden. He says she is and tells her to leave him alone. She asks if he doesn't like her. He says he doesn't. She doesn't believe him at first. She asks if he means it, and he says he does. She says he had said differently before...that she was the only one in his heart now. IJM says that was just something he said when he rescued her, and it was a lie. So, she should stop following him. IJM packs his things to leave, but WH tells him she'll go instead. She opens the doors and walks to the edge of the pavilion. IJM asks her what she's doing. WH says she doesn't want to live in a world where she can't be with him. "So, take care." And she jumps. IJM frantically searches for WH, but it's Yang Po who finds her at the base of the cliff. IJM can't find WH and is at a loss at what to do...he left WH for her own sake, but, in the end, he killed her (he thinks). ~ Beautiful montage of Iljimae and Wol Hee moments ~

Thanks for the (really helpful) first-half summary! Well, that certainly was a sad turn of events...quite heartbreaking... Poor IJM... At least they countered it with a bit of humor. I really enjoyed the sageuk casino...very amusingly done! Some interesting locations in that episode... Yes, loved the montage at the end, and it seems there'll be more great scenes to look forward to, per the end credits (which, as I said before, are a bit scary, too...) ~~~
Guest hjkomo
Ep. 16 (second part) Bae Seon Dal twists his ankle while walking through the mountains, so he and Cha Dol take a rest. Their surroundings seem familiar, and once BSD sees the results of his morning's bowel movement on the ground, they realize that they've spent the entire day walking in circles. Then, they hear sounds from a distance. It's Iljimae fighting (and killing) Kim Ja Jeom's men. Iljimae warns one of the masked brothers that he's in a foul mood. BSD recognizes the pair's twin sword method, where two swordsmen act as one. IJM measures his opponents' skills and intelligently adjusts his style accordingly, alternating his sword between his right and left hands. He finally tricks his opponents into cutting each other and kills them both, saying they chose him wrongly. BSD is amazed to discover that there was another way to defeat the twin sword method. Cha Dol calls out to Iljimae, but IJM coldly reminds him that he told him not to follow. Cha Dol and BSD notice something is different with Iljimae and wonder what happened to him. Wang Hweng Bo is bored. With no money left, he curses Iljimae for spoiling their plans. Sung Ge suggests they find work at a secret gambling house. The boss of the gambling house sends Wang Hweng Bo and Sung Ge to collect money from a man who owes him a gambling debt. IJM returns to the house where he left Wol Hee and mourns the loss of her. GJM returns to the police station. There been a murder (and decapitation). A man delivers the head to Minister Kwon, who has secrets to keep. The dead man had been asking to many questions. Kwon's not-so-bright son, Jang Ho, comes in and recognizes the head as someone he knows. Kwon gives him money to go amuse himself...but warns that he must keep his mouth shut. Jang Ho gets drunk and causes a ruckus at a bar. Iljimae overhears Jang Ho warning a gisaeng to scram, or else she'll end up like the decapitated head at his house. IJM sneaks into Kwon's house and finds the severed head. Preview: It looks like Jang Ho's in love with a girl and asks his father to make her his bride. Her family refuses the offer of marriage, so Kwon has her kidnapped. Iljimae saves her...but slaps her and tells her not to give her heart to him. Guest hjkomo
Well, that certainly was a sad turn of events...quite heartbreaking... Poor IJM... ^ This is probably Jung Il Woo, since he does most of his own stunts. Brrrr!!!! At least they countered it with a bit of humor. I really enjoyed the sageuk casino...very amusingly done! Yeah, what were those hats supposed to be? The Joseon version of bouncers wearing shades??? <- Don't forget the cockfighting rooster! I continue to be enamored of the through-the-door/window shots: This one was especially nice. Love the contrast between the light outside and the darkness inside, which frames Iljimae's sorrow. As always, I love the fight scenes. Like you, Jill, those doorway shots impress me.....and look what they used to frame the shot here...IMPRESSIVE!!! Like you, Jill, those doorway shots impress me.....and look what they used to frame the shot here...IMPRESSIVE!!! Hey, hjkomo, thanks for summarizing the rest of Ep. 16 and all these great caps... Does most of his stunts? Cool! I really do think the fast spins and tricks in the fight scenes must be a stunt guy, no? Yeah, it's been so cold in most of the scenes (you can always see their breath)...I like cold weather, but maybe not in relatively light clothing and rope sandals...!!! The fight scenes are terrific, but I'm worried about what's coming up... The doorway shots are just so nice...I love them! Yeah, those hats!!! Bizarre! The wardrobe people must be having a lot of fun! Somewhat OT: Shouldn't he have combed his hair by now??! Well, now we have to wait another week...for more... BTW, no one has really commented on the way they are developing the Baek Mae/GJM relationship. I am really liking the story line and the pace and tone of their interaction. Kim Min Jong is playing the heck out of his role...very well done! cutiepie! GREAT presentation! I love it ~ thanks so much for your hard work!! Let's hope that eventually more people will start watching. Note to all who have not yet seen this drama: you need to start with Episode 1 and continue straight through. If you don't, you've missed out badly...
Guest hjkomo
Does most of his stunts? Cool! I really do think the fast spins and tricks in the fight scenes must be a stunt guy, no? Yeah, some of the fancy fighting maneuvers look like a stunt double...but something as simple as running through half-frozen water, he probably did himself. Yikes! No wonder he collapsed from exhaustion. Somewhat OT: Shouldn't he have combed his hair by now??! http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a347/Jil.../f5ccb1ef-1.jpg Well, WH did make him wash his face, so we can only hope...
