    Please pardon me for discussing EK here because the show has just started in our country. And I found this thread the most welcoming so far. 
    I have seen a lot of sageuks, dramas, romcoms and honestly I've never admired any character more than Wang Yoo. You see, the character is fictional but it is really well-written. Except for the love story part which is disappointing. But a great character is nothing without a great actor. And so I think the whole EK is lucky to have Joo Jin Mo. I guess it's really meant for him. I thought Togon is very funny but childish. There is something wrong with him, it felt like he stole SN from WY. I'm not buying their so-called chemistry at all. Wang Yoo is the unselfish and martyr one while Togon's love is possessive. The Wang Yoo character has more depth and is more compelling. The valor of Wang Yoo is admirable. He's brave and that's the true character of a King. And there's no one else who can portray him better than Joo Jin Mo. 
    Tell me an actor who can play that role as sexy and manly as he did?? And sport a beard too? :)

    @anjshin wow that's so cool.. I love her article, we share the same sentiments.
    yeah he doesn't look pure Korean.. I guess he also has Japanese roots.. I also like that he doesn't seem to have had plastic surgery.. those who did kasi, they look the same. and I know that he's now in his 40s and that just makes him more appealing.. you know, guys who age gracefully.. or maybe it's just me because I prefer older guys  :x
    are you currently in the Phils? If so, you know EK has just started, and people are always about Togon.. Donghae.. that's why I prefer discussing here rather than local forums.. I'm actually watching the subtitled ones and I'm almost halfway done. It's kind of disappointing to know Joo Jin Mo became the second lead in the end. I thought he will end up with Ki. So I'm actually not very looking forward to the ending, I'm just watching because I want to see Wang Yoo.

    Hahaha, I'm glad to know that you became an instant fan of him because of WANGYOO, congratulations, because like you I came to explore his personal and non-personal activities 11 months ago. And I will proudly say that the experience was GREAT, though I already saw him first in 200 pounds Beauty which was aired in our country, my fave ROMCOM by the way, WangYoo made his way to make me a great fan of him that I even watched almost all his works. Now you've been warned, if you liked JJM as WANGYOO, you will like him more being him, the great JOO JIN MO ahjussi off-cam. :)

    @Yuanjim: dear, no need for him to flirt, because "Scarlett" herself will fall in love" with JJM's bedroom voice :)) =)) ;))

    Hey..thanks! So cool to find fellow Pinoys :) I didn't get to watch 200 Pounds Beauty. I gotta find my copy now. Have you seen Wang Yoo's dubber? He's cute :)

    I have read JJM is an award winning actor in Korea. No wonder he's very intense in Empress Ki. He reminds me of Dennis Trillo, one of my fave Filipino actors. They both played gay roles and it made them more respectable actors.

    JJM also looks different from other actors we usually see in K dramas.. some actors look alike eh. he kinda looks Pinoy.. and he's not very pale.. He's the tall, dark and handsome type :)

    The Empress Ki show is lucky to cast him, no one can play the role better. He's so perfect as Wang Yoo. And I admire the character so much. <3

    @jei_em welcome to the thread. I am a new comer, too. You should watch more movies of JJM, especially A Frozen Flower! :))

    @YuanjiM I think because of JJM's shyness and being easy to get nervous in front of the audience, "Gone with the Wind" will be a big challenge to JJM. :-j 

    Thank you! I heard about Frozen Flower and I really want to see it. I find actors who can play gay roles really brave and shows they're secure with their gender, and I find that very sexy. It makes them more masculine. I've read that he won an award for the role so the risk is really worth it. :)

    Hi I'm new here.. I love Joo Jin Mo/Wang Yoo in Empress Ki. It's currently showing here in the Phils, though I already watched in advance some subtitled episodes :) I like his character as Goryeo King so I got curious and became an instant fan. I found out we're the same birth month and blood type, haha.. so maybe that's why I'm drawn to him. <3 He looks good in a sageuk costume, and he really looks like a king. Even though I prefer him over Dong Hae in the drama (Togon is more popular, eh), I think his character is more compelling and has more depth. I look forward to his shows and hopefully it would be shown here in PH. :)
