    @dawnshine thank u for your insight. It's absolutely true......and i love how smart SY is while YW is worst than i thought , while her brother is just pathetic...i can't stand him anymore. I hope WS walks in when he was hugging her

    My personal best scene from Ep10 today


    WS comes into a room where BM and KM is, pushing against Kyung who's trying to stop him. And Kyung hits and kicks WS and KM and BM all freak out cuz they know he's a prince now :)) KM is like Kyung! you...don't...shouldn't be too..harsh..... lol
    And BM and KM is all awkward with SoSo, using almost honorifics and not knowing what to do when
    our most beloved KyuDal (SY bro) comes in and SMACKS WS in his head!! lol KM and BM freeeaaaks out!! he smacks WS in his head yelling what has he been doing not showing his face for so long lol
    and then KD starts complaining about Prince Wang So, to SoSo. LOL. KD: And richard simmons, that prince wang so, he ruined everything!WS: Prince Wang So? What about Prince Wang So?BM&KM: (desperate eyes, trying to stop KD, but of course KD doesn't notice)KD: That stupid Wang So...! I mean, even his name is so unlucky!WS: What? (wide eyes) KD: What the hell is Wang So? What, is it a king among cows? (wang=king, so=cow in Korean) What what, is it like a cow head stew?WS: Wang So...isn't really a bad name......
    and BM&KM interrupts to stop KD and drags WS away to diff room and WS is muttering cow head stew...cow head stew....
    it was hilarious!!

    Jeez Wang So was so much smarter than I thought! 



    When Assistant Head of Chung Hae mentions 'ryunghwa' and 'cheongok', WS immediately thinks, well only Gaebong knows that!And thank god, with that one clue, he connects it to, wait isn't Gaebong=assistant head? And when he is in doubt, he always makes a move to check it! Just like he peeped in bathing Gaebong lol. He sneaks in assistant head's room, and sees assistant head unveiling herself and sees she is indeed Gaebong.He walks out shocked, calling himself an idiot, stupid, how could he have not seen it? He's shocked and he laughs and he's so relieved lol.


    PERFECT. Our main lead has a brain.

    True, but everyone seems to know that the trading post is owned by a woman.  Even if he doesn't know she's a woman, his right hand man who is slinking around digging up information should have discovered this information a long time ago.  It just doesn't seem right that the prince who breezes in here and there finds out that she dresses like a man, and WS who lived in the same house for a while and has known Geabong for several weeks doesn't have a clue and hasn't heard anything.

    I guess I'm just ready to move on from this whole cross dressing thing.  This drama is only 20 episodes, and we're entering the mid-point.  The part of the storyline is getting a little old. It was strange that she's wearing a head garb in front of the king and other nobles.  Okay, I'm going to get over my disappointment that WS still doesn't know Gaebong is a woman and the lady in red.

    Wang So KNOWS that the company assistant he a is a woman. He mentioned it several times. He just doesn't know Gaebong is the company assistant head, which is understandable since she deliberately hid it from him.

    And it makes perfect sense why she would wear a veil in the palace. She is an unmarried woman, I think it is just normal for her to be wearing a veil esp in palace where extreme manner is required.

    Only caught few minutes of Hyde, Jekyll, Me , but to answer your question. Yes, the actor who played WSR (WS' uncle) is also playing HB's dad in HJM. I guess he doesn't have that many scenes for both dramas, so he could juggle both projects at the same time. I've seen artists (veterans) juggling 3 dramas in one time slot before. They are just very professional and hardworking!

    That man is also in a weekend drama lol. But that happens pretty often with supporting roles...their schedule is notas demanding as lead actors (just compare WSR screen time and AS screen time lol), and good supporting actors are always wanted. People alsodon't get 'tired of' supporting actors so it is not rare for some top supporting actors to be in several dramas at the same time

    I know history bits have been already shared, but...just for those who are interested, translation of another history article that was posted in DC SoGC gallery today. Let's keep in mind, he's not the same with our fictional character Wang So, but his more like a motif WS was based off of.
    Disclaimer: They are not whole translation, I just took some excerpts.
    (...) a 'controversial figure' is related. It is Gwang Jong who is evaluated as the one who prepared the base for 500 years of Goryeo.
    Gwang Jong has ambivalent evaluation and is viewed in two extremely different lights: 'an excellent reformer' and 'a bloody purger'. There's a lot of story behind him, the third son of Wang Gun, becoming the king. The first son Mu (Hye Jong) and second son Yo (Jeong Jong) all died early. Hye Jong who became the king with the help from Park Sul Hee died in two years, and Jeong Jong who became the king with the help from Wang Shik Ryum died in 4 years due to disease.
    Gwang Jong announced the era name 'Gwang Duk', meaning 'spread the virtue', as soon as he became the king. He was eager and ambitious, but did not show his real intention, keeping down and waiting for the timing. It was to avoid the fate of older brothers who died young. Aristocrats were still as strong as ever, controlling over the royal family. 
    Gwang Jong, in 956 which is the 7th year of his reign, implements 'slave screening law'. He freed slaves who became slaves for unjust reasons. Implementation of slave screening law weakened the aristocrats' sources of economic and military power, and the nation could strengthen both its storehouse and army by increasing free citizens, so it was a double benefit. 
    Two years after, Gwang Jong accepted Ssang Gi from HuJu's suggestion, and started examination system. Gwang Jong himself stood on Wui Bong Ru and announced names of the qualified ones. Those new officials who got their posts through examination naturally became the king's supporters.
    Gwang Jong kept going until he reaches the most extreme card, 'purging'. In 960, which was the 11th year of his reign, he was reported that JunHeung and WangDong and their followers were planning a rebellion, and he started the large scale purging. If anyone gets out of his eyes, or looks suspicious, he killed them. He even killed Prince HeungHwa who was his nephew, and Prince KyungChoonWon who was the son of Jeong Jong. He even doubted Kyung Jong, his own son, and did not let him come close to him.
    GwangJong's bloody blade caused morals to collapse, and created a world where no one could trust another person. After Gwang Jong, only a little more than 40 out of 3200 initial Gongshin (those who helped building the country) aristocrats were remaining. It was literally the 'crazy bloodstorm'. 
    Some scholars still make positive evaluation of his decade of terror reign, saying "It was an inevitable prescription to complete the reformation". Some innocent officials and aristocrats also got killed, but only through this was the royal power established, making possible the 500 year history of Goryeo dynasty.

    New BTS released for the herb kiss scene!Not much to translate, but apparently that herb juice was green tea latte, and OYS loved it lol. She was like, hey this is good can I have more? Do you have more? haha.And they had some trouble letting one streak of juice come out of WS's mouth....not much came of his mouth, so she was like oh should I do it with some more, and the next trial too much liquid streaming down his face lol

    I find the assassins fighting scene are done quite well. Idk why WW's character didn't use stunt for his scene cos he is def not good enough to do those scenes...he is a good actor though, i'm super annoyed by his evilness already.

    I only watched parts of Midas (of JH) and the full FTLY. I didn't like Midas at all. So I don't know if he is always able to raise standard of any hoobae EVERYTIME. But his collaboration with JNR in FTLY and now with OYS in SOGC, do make me love the dramas and the two main leads (of each drama). I would say it's part of JH's credit and it's part of the hoebae's effort and talent too, together with a good script/plot. Having good rapport with your costar is extremely essential especially doing romance drama. Had the hoebae not share the same "wavelength", we won't be able to see chemistry happening. Nevertheless I have to say JH is a very caring shunbae who treats his costars very well, judging from the last two dramas of his - interviews from JNR and OYS respectively revealed so, as well as from the BTS, you see the atmosphere at filming was so warm and fun.
    Let's hope SOGC continue to shine more and more, high ratings and receiving good reviews!

    I hope there's lots of action at the Prince's Competition. No one does action as well as Bollywood (imo), but let's hope SOGC takes a cue from them and makes it super unbelievable!  The more ridiculously impossible the victory is, the more I love it! It would be really cool to have a scene in this drama like the pre-intermission scene in the movie Rebel with Prabhas.  Watching Jang Hyuk strut while bodies are flying everywhere around him would be super cool. 

    Kudos to all cast and crew for their hard work. Stay warm. Stay healthy.

    The official website released the newest BTS...and it was the cutest thing ever!!
    It was the scene right after they rolled in the mountain...when Gaebong wakes up and finds So unconscious and injured.Although the scene was serious, actors were so cheerful and funny filming it lol.
    OYS was shaking JH who was lying still, and then she goes like, can I slap him in the face to wake him up? making everybody laugh
    OYS got her hand a little scratched, and she went like, see, oppa, I got hurt saving you~ and JH went like, Daesang! Daesang (Grand award)!, and staff members joked around saying, hey we gotta release news saying OYS acts despite her injury etc. 
    and OYS kept shaking unconscious SoSo, touching his body here and there, and after cut sign JH opens his eyes slightly and says, Al~ways touching me....I feel like I'm consistently being touched........LOL. 
    And OYS says to JH, oppa if you are not too cold, why don't you take your clothes off in the cave? For the sake of viewers? and staffs go like, yeah right to raise the ratings from female audience, and OYS keeps jokingly pushing him, oppa you sacrifice once more~ for our drama~ and JH says "You want it?" "Yes~" "If you want it, I'll have to do it." "Only if you're not cold~I mean, it could be warm in the cave~" LOL
    I guess it was cold in the cave cuz we didn't see shirtless wang so there :P
