  1. Hooo...llddd on. So we only have ONE episode AGAIN this weekend after what happened last weekend???? ( :w00t:++steams coming out my ears + fanning myself + chanting "inhale-exhale 100x" ). I even went out of the town where WiFi can't reach me, hoping to come home to watch 2 episodes ... and this is what I got??  :tears:

Anyway, in this single episode, really loveee the connection between YK and doctor Cold. They look so goood together. I laughed and cried watching ep 22. Their connection really gives color to the gloomy situation.  More over doctor Cold doesn't have a good relationship with his brother, so it won't be hard for him to decide when it comes to YK vs TS. The meeting between grandmother and granddaughter also tears me up.

But weird, part of me ... the dark side of me, wants HK to die for real. JE would be inconsolable, and that kind of blow would be a great punishment for him. Somehow I loovvee to see JE crying, chasing HK everywhere, and after all that HK telling him to go to SR. Wuahahahaha!!!! Ooopss ... I think I start to turn into a witch. Enjoying someone's sufferings. ^_^

One unfortunate thing I don't want to see at the end ... doesn't matter what others think of his actions ... is that BS would get nobody. He was there for HK all the time for 4+ years. Became everything for her. Now he is trying to help YK with her problem. Really unfair if he ends up as the loser.

  3. We heard of a final step in the divorce process --- must go to the district office with the Final Decree and register it for the whole divorce process to be completed.  I know I talked in my post about the day of HK's accident , when JE & SR were playing on the beach as though that was the day of the divorce.  However, I've since seen the divorce paper YK is reading in HK's car. It's translated as this:..."Divorce Document Confirmation" and is dated "2011-9-12".  So there was plenty of time for one of them to sign off on the divorce processing at a district office.  The beach & the accident were events on September 26, 2012 --- 14 days later!

I am sorry, I am slow on this.  So does it mean that their divorce was finalized then?  I am puzzled why JE kept calling JE as his wife? And so did BS call HG as JE's wife?

@mdj101 You meant Sept 26, 2011, right? 4 years ago, since the setting is 2015.

@deandraluv, don't worry, chingu. You're not the only one. I am still annoyed with that "my wife" and "other man's wife" callings. I rely on whomever did the English sub in Viki. One of chingus said that the word "wife" and "woman" in some language is the same. But since I don't speak Korean, I am going with the translation in Viki. JE calls HK/YK2 as "my wife". Eeekkkk ... An ex wife is 180 degrees different with a wife. Do the math!! Back then JE was very much anxious to get rid of HK and be over with all this divorce process, so I think he did his part to finalized it. He never questioned it in 4 years, he didn't even care what happened to HK after the divorce. He started to ask about her because he ran into her, and she didn't recognize him. Bam!!!

  4. @evea

I am getting equally irritated too. JE is a researcher. He was firm YK2 is HK then. So many instances being together he cld have had some samples and tested for her DNA.

Now he realises aft 4yrs he was not able to let go of HK. WHAT? Knowing YK2 been wth SR for 4yrs, just butting in trying to reclaim his "WIFE"?

And his exMIL. Stupid lady. JE asked direct about twins yet trying to hide? And revealing to BS?

And BS keeping YK2 a secret from his mum? Not logic. How can one hide a 'dead' alive daughter from a grieving mother? And even to YK2/HK and YK he kept silent about them being twins?

    All psycho cases..

    FIGHTING!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    @Katrina Abdul Talib & @trust71

  It is super hard to please the viewers who watch a drama by using logic, isn't it? We know it's a d.r.a.m.a and STILL we want it to be more logical and real. :P Aren't we the worst? :D:D So I'm fighting here, and hope you are too, chingus!!!! B)

  5. Whattt??? 100000% don't understand the situation why a man who has been divorced for 4 years from his wife, still addresses his ex-wife as my wife? I read some of us discussed about whether the divorce paper was filed or not. They showed JE-HK divorce court ... means they filed their divorce. Since I've never been gone through divorce (and help me God I won't :vicx:), I don't know if there is another step to make a divorce final other than receiving final divorce paper from the court. But anyway it was clearly stated by JE's mother in the episode when JE came back from US that JE and HK were legally divorced. It's part of the deal for him to go to US to study and come back to work for his father's company. So they are not husband and wife anymore. So what the h*ck with "my wife" or "she is someone's wife" thing?

Another thing, I don't know ... something is amiss here. We have medical field people, researchers, lawyers, and pharmaceutical company as characters and setting in this drama. And the time setting is current year. But to prove the HK/YK2 identity, amazingly none of them even care to pursue a DNA test or go check the tooth/medical record.   It's HK's record that has been erased, but not YK. Since they assumed YK2 as YK, they can ID whether YK2 is really YK from YK's medical record. Especially YK was pregnant when she disappeared, she did regular maternity check up. I'm tired to see they are playing guessing game all of the time, and it starts to look st*pid. If this was a historical drama that happened on early 1900, I'd let them playing guessing game and Sherlock Holmes. But c'mon, people! The setting is 2015!

  6. Oh no no no, writer-nim ... it's too early for HK to start chasing JE around. Please ... NOT YET. Not even half way. JE needs to suffer more and yearning for HK. This is only the beginning finding out about her "death". While waiting for the next 2 episodes, I re-watched the beginning episodes. It helps me not to get swayed and not easily giving my sympathy toward JE. He was meaaannnn. I don't know what kind of redemption worth all the tears HK shed for him. I know probably the writer will show that love prevails. But this is way too easy.

Curious. How come TS's brother end up lodging in HK's house? Did TS intentionally put him there to spy on the house? I believe dr. MK has nothing to do with his brother evil deeds, and probably isn't aware of anything TS is doing. But I think dr. MK will be one of those who will help YK and HK. He could be the first one to know that there are 2 YK. Which means another one is a fake. Another one who can help YK-HK is JE's father. He is trying to redeem himself from whatever happened with YK & HK's father back then by finding and returning YK to Gyu Nam.

I'm getting tired on BS denial mode. I'm almost sure BS actually knows for sure that YK2 is not YK. The location of the accident and where he met HK that night, the time of accident, and other "too coincidental" facts, everything is too obvious. Unless he is stupid, but he is just a fool in love.

  7. Watched 17 and 18, and gosh!! I don't know what they were talking about in both last episodes. 37% English subbed. But that last part of 18th ep made me wept, and afterward I thought about it, I laughed to myself. Geezzz, seriously, come again ... why did I weep without knowing what's going on???  Salute to JJH!!! He really can portray the character, and make viewers crying just to look at his face.

  8. Bottom line, chingus, I really want HK to show JE and SR, that doesn't matter how your heart sway by someone else, you should stay true to the person you've given your word to. She has to show them that IT IS POSSIBLE TO BE FAITHFUL. Especially to those who have taken a marriage vow. I want her to stand firm on her principle though she has lost her memory. I hope it is still part of her identity that remains. It will be the biggest slap on JE's face, especially once he finds out that HK is truly his ex wife.

  9. Watched the 15th and 16th, and Wow!! The writer really plays with our emotion. Part of me hoping that JE will forever learn the meaning of losing. He shouldn't get whatever he wants. I want to see more of him crying and begging for HK's loveThis is not the climax yet ... wait until he finds out that his wife has "died". I want to see him breaks. But another part of me became soft to see how he tries to "fix" all his wrong doings, and I tell my self that this drama is about two people who have lost their way find each other again. (Why oh why JJH is so good looking????)

Straight to the bullseye, JE has mapped even HK's tiniest mole in his mind. Gosh, even I don't know all the moles, birthmarks, scars on my husband's body after all these years of marriage :D. Probably I should start paying attention now, in case he got amnesia . But I love how JR expressed JE-HK intimacy using her evil words. :P

Got a little bit surprise to know from JR and SR conversation that JE-SR's relationship hasn't gone that "far" yet even after 4 years. So, they just cuddled on bed that night when he spent night with her, and the nights while they were in US? Hmmm ... wrong movement, SR! Should know better!

  10. Loveee your discussion about JE's love to HK, chingus.

Despite of his feeling to SR, if he truly loves HK, what has he been doing all these 4 years? He never searched for her or even asked about HK's doing? Would JE look for HK if HK didn't run to him (literally with her scooter) in the first place? He falls for her again because he meets her. What kind of love is that? That's why you don't go find sanctuary in other woman's arms when you have problem with your better half, moron!!! Should deal with it! Go to family counseling!

I kind of understand in some cultures, once you married into a family, though you've divorced, your in-laws will be forever in-laws. But gosh, how can he still call HK as wife in the preview? That's WRONG, man!! You signed the divorce paper. And it's been 4 years!! HK is NOT your wife anymore. You and Baek are now in the same position. She is a free woman. She belongs to nobody.

I have a feeling that JE-SR wedding will still happen. Just like in the synopsis and the lyrics in the OSTs. JE, once a cheater, will always be a cheater. It's wrong to make JE gets whatever he wants. Please HK, don't give your heart to him easily. Hold on probably until end of ep 49? :D Feel free to make JE running around, fall, find it hard to breath, and crying blood, attempts suicide (like he did to you). Should stick with your principle that you dislike rich people and cheaters. Show him: it is possible that doesn't matter how much you like/love someone, once another party gets married, you respect their union. Set the person free and draw a clear line between friendship and lovers.

  11. 36 episodes to go ... still there are the 'affair' (the 'term' the plot uses), memory recovery, many hearts be broken, YK whereabouts, fighting the bad guys, reunion of many parties. I really hope the writer-nim will write it beautifully, whether it will be a closure between HK-JE, or bringing them back together. I had some bad experience k-drama with beautiful and great beginning, but lousy and what the h*ck ending. Don't want to rant anymore which k-dramas those are. Wasting my time and my emotion. Don't do that anymore, pleaaasseeee :tears:

  12. But I don't understand why he felt the need to cheat on her because he lost a child? Sorry, but the writer has to tie that together for me.

This is what I think. On one of early episodes (I forgot which ep, but I think it was when HK brought wine to JE at their front lawn), JE was astonished to see how 'relax' HK was, he told HK, "Are you even a mom?" (something like that). I think JE was drowned in very long period of sadness and bottomless mourn for losing their child, while for HK, mourning time is over, live must go on. That's exactly her answer to her husband. She buried herself with works to overcome the lost and loneliness (because JE was physically there, but his mind wasn't). She became cold, and plus being among her in-law family environment, she involved with complicated Choi family business.

For JE what HK was doing is not the right way a parent who just lost her child should act. She supposed to (still) mourning (for a long time) with him. Also he was upset and disappointed that his wife joined hands with his family business, while he himself didn't want to. It showed on the scene where he came to his father, agreed to join family business (at last) and for the trade: his father to throw HK out.

So evil sister in law was absolutely correct. HK-JE drifted apart because the death of their child and they didn't know how to go on. Not because SR swayed JE. The only thing I am still curious is how their child died. Why HK think it might be true that it was her fault. So I think JE "went along" with this fling game with SR so he could forget his pain and gave a 'painful lesson' to his wife, and eventually probably forgetting her. He never loves SR. In my opinion he used SR. Not snapped. But his love prevails. He never forgets his love to HK, and he never stops loving her. It's a genuine love.

Again ... this is just my personal thought.

  13. 74% subbed. Oh gosh!!! What are they saying?? If I knew how to speak Korean, I'd help to translate. I am learning Korean with a veerryyy little progress. My son's tang soo do's sabom-nim who is Korean laughed at me when I told her I learn Korean so I can understand the K-dramas. She is a K-drama fan also.

There is no sub for this part yet, so I am curious why HK's mother went to see the lady (looks like it's at a school office?) who showed her a year book. Is it HK or YK in the year book? Is she looking for her other daughter (YK)? Did she tell SR's father about her twins? How come SR's father doesn't say anything while HK's doppelganger lives in his house? How come he never questioned the similarity of YK2 with Gyu Nam's dead girl? On the beginning episode, JE's father knows that HK has a twin sister. I'm going to check again later tonight if the sub goes more than 74%. Thank you so much to the sub-ers ...

  14. I really love the preview where JE spends time with HK on her "spy" job. The bickering part. Really love Jin Jin Hee every time he has to play this kind of role. Reminds me of his acting in Dong Yi.

Some people need to hit rock bottom to see what they lost. Despite of some of us disagreement if the writer makes HK and JE back together at the end ... in real life there are things that I call "you must be kidding me forgiveness" and "what in the world you call it love". Believe me ... I'm a living witness for that. Crazy but true.

  15. Yay! Though I didn't expect that JE and HK would meet again this soon, at last I am happy that they start the the "table turns". I have been waiting for this. I hope the writer-nim will "torture" JE all the way to the end, and made SR miserable and mad as hell through the end. Another twisted thing I am glad to see that even after 4 years JE hasn't married SR yet. SR wants to get married, JE said it's not important, and he's still trapped in the memory of his little daughter. (Uh-oh, girl! Should be a clear warning to you). :phew:

It's bitter sweet with JE's father. I think he didn't intentionally kill HK and YG's father. He might be asking his friends for giving him something from the patent (he probably helped a little) while hiking with HK's father. Got into an argumentation, push and pull (Korean style), voila!! accident happened. He feels guilty. That's why he wants HK and JE to inherit the company, because it was him and his friend. No other.

It looks like Baek's rebellious little sister will help SR to get rid of HK. That girl is weird. SR would find out that HK lives in her father's house, and probably would be the first to find out HK's true identity since she is so smart:huh:. But she will reap what she sow.

I hope someone will spill the beans about HK "death" and "murder" soon. It's better if it was a few minutes before SR-JE's wedding (if there will be any), then JE would leave the wedding to find out the truth, and SR being stood up. (wishful thinking:D

Last but not least ... I am looking forward for the sisters to team up against the big company.

  16. Remember: it's a melodrama, everybody. The ending could be unexpectedly sad, or unexpectedly happy, or unexpectedly surprising that wants to make you say "blech, what's with this ending???". When a kdrama's genre is melodrama, mostly the ending is a sad ending. So, I'm going to buy boxes of tissue toward the end of the series, which if I counted it correctly 50 episodes will end in February 2016. Hopefully writer-nim won't disappoint all of us. (cross my fingers).

Oh, I read the discussion about SR possibly could have a hard time to get pregnant because she is taking pills. What pills? Contraception pills? I didn't pay attention that SR is taking pills. Which ep did they show it? I'm sorry ... every time the scene gets into SR or JE/SR affairs, I press fast forward. My head hurts so bad watching those scenes.

  17. 50 episodes???  And I already wept like a wimp watching ep 8. *forgive my French* ... darn you great actors!!

Great way to depict how hurt HK is now, and how obnoxious husband and in laws she has. With this we all can prepare of what will coming in next episodes when JE "starts over" again, and his "starts over" means falling in love all over again with HK who doesn't remember him. Will he be kneeling before her someday to ask her to come back like he knelt in ep 8 when he asked his father to throw his wife away? I hope it won't be easy for him. Trying to figure out where the story goes from the OST lyric at the end of ep 8.  It's a very sad OST :tears:. Someone apparently will come too late to find her after awhile. I hope the writer will not linger any longer on this painful scenes. Let's see what the amnesiac HK will learn how to smile again and finds her twin (and of course to see how JE will pursue what he'd lost ... hard way)

  18. First time in my life I was hoping two pair of actors with great chemistry in a drama could have real affection to each other outside the drama ... because JCW and PMY are looked SOOOOO good together. A handsome pair. I even had them in my dreams for four days in a row.

But those dreams crushed since I saw Healer interviews, where JCW addressed PMY just as "a good and cheer up noona" (Hiks ... JCW praised Ha Ji Won more than that in the Empress Ki, and called her very pretty and an awesome actress. But not toward PMY?? C'mon JCW!! PMY is only a year older than you are!!! Oh, he broke my heart!!). PMY acted more freely toward YJT sunbae during drama interview.
And then I realized that it's just a drama, and they are professional actors. What happened in a drama, stays in the drama. :(  But is it wrong to wish??? :((
  19. Hi everybody,
I tried to hold back myself from writing comment on this drama and stayed as a silent fan. But your comments are very fun to read, and I lost it. :\"> The Taiwanese version is good too. It's been a long time since 2008, so it's good to see the remake by Koreans.
Above all, I love-love-love all the actors in this drama. Really ... I don't really care where the story goes. Just to see Jang Hyuk and Jin Hyuk (and drooling over them) is already made my day. =P~ Listening to the depth of their voices is killing me, and no question on their acting quality. Na Ra and Ji Won are wonderful actress. I really can't take side this time.
I don't blame Se Ra for chasing her dream, because rare opportunity sometimes comes only once in a life time.  Why right on the important day? Well, for us who worked hard to reach our dreams since we were little, we know well about that, and a lot have to sacrificed a lot.  Sometimes we regret it, but taking opportunity is like a gamble. So, for me ... just like the title, it's fated.  People work hard on their relationship, but for some of us, it is just not meant to be.

  20. I've been silently following this GoM drama forum, and it's almost the end of the drama. I am contemplating if I want to watch the end. It's like a bad clog in my chest. :-&
A part of my heart desperately wants JH to end up with HW, though it seems not going to happen. Yes, they were so sweet at the beginning, but that's not the reason.  First I thought it was just passion, but then I changed my mind. They just met in a wrong time. We saw how JH struggled and ended up marrying TW for her family sake.  To cancel a promised wedding because she finds somebody new in some custom is a shame and cheating. She was preventing that. They have traditional minds, and I think the writer is going to show us about the reality of Korean traditional marriage, where divorce doesn't apply. Modern Koreans do divorce. Traditional marriage is not only in Korea, but some part of Asia still hold on to this custom.  They call their in-laws to-be "father/mother/sister/brother in-law" long before the wedding. So it's like a public announcement that someone is part of a family. I have somebody who is very dear to me went through 97% pictured in this drama, ended up marrying the person she engaged to and she loves less to prevent shame to her family rather than being with someone she met later before the wedding who understood her better, made her laugh, shared the same interests and loved her-and she loved him.  Stupid-stupid-stupid!!!! Make up your mind!!! Why suffer and only watching him from distance while he wants you too???? ... but, that's how it works in her custom.  She hasn't gotten over him after 5 years of marriage, and she tries her best to be her husband's best wife.
So, I think JH will stand by TW despite of things he did. And HW will end up with SK. Hate to think this kind of ending, but I think that's the writer's purpose. Anyway LSW is the 2nd lead ...

  21. After being interrupted for 9x, at last I am able to finish watching the last episode. I am happy with the ending. Thank you to the writer, producers, actress, actors, and the whole IoM team, including those who worked hard to make the English subtitle ready a.s.a.p for us to enjoy. You've made this drama possible for us to watch.
Thank you to all contributors, you've all made this forum alive with your postings. I enjoyed every single of them. I hope to meet you again in other drama forum. I think I've met some of you already in A Hundred Years Inheritance or in Nine, and in Jang Ok Jung LIL. Let's satisfied our K-drama cravings!!!  :x  Espero verles pronto!!!

  22.

@evok : It's nice to meet you too. Yes, this drama is almost over.  I love your postings. This forum won't be good without everyone's comments. And I looovveee to meet new friends from all around the world .. physically and virtually whom I can share ideas, jokes, even give supports with. Especially here in Soompi, we can share something that we all like: watching Kdramas and movies. Yay!!!!!  Yes, I hope to see you somewhere in other drama threads. I am following:

    • AHYI
    • Jang Ok Jeong LIL (I love biography, and I've watched Dong Yi (Suk-bin Choi). Awesome historical drama. Now we see the history from the eyes of Hui-bin Jang's)
    • Nine:93T (Not a big fan of time travel story, but this one has an unusual story line ... unpredictable)

  23. @GaeinaLee Wow! So you always can eat hearty meals. It's good for you, because the right diet is if you can balance your nutrients intake. Heavy exercise is not a requirement, as long as you keep yourself moving everyday. Curvy doesn't mean obese, while too thin is not always good also. I don't know if any of Korean's actress is curvy in real life. I mean those who get main roles. Like Melissa McCarthy for example.
