    ..and I must now go into hiding again, to avoid spoilers, as I won't be watching til next week (Monday-ish) on Viki.. 

    I don't mind waiting for the best HD quality & subs, but this being the last wknd.. I'm so worried, argh & so anxious!!

    Thinking about it, would Seju & Seol ~still have "found each other", without the help of Jinoh? 

    Was it ~fate that had brought Jinoh & Seju together first? How different would things have been 

    if it was Seol who had encountered the haunted typewriter at some earlier point in time instead? 

    Imagine, Jinoh & Seol being the ones who discover their past life connection first, & then they 

    have to get to & convince Seju, lol now I really want to see this AU come to ~life, hmm.. ^__^

    I had been imagining a scene where, once they got word of an impending attack on the club,

    ShinYool chooses to stay while telling HwiYoung to leave with SooHyeon & keep her safe.. 

    And she'd be against it, of course, not one to run away, but HY is ever the solemn protector! 

    So right before their escape, there's a tense goodbye, with an undercurrent of angst & feels.. 

    Where such feelings may or may not be expressed or implied, thru emotional embraces <3 

    Thus, SY takes HY's place at the desk, & HY takes SH, to try & "live to fight another day".

    Maybe a lil "dejavu" vibe-y, cuz I was reminded of a certain other "Parting of the Ways"..:

    I think YJO being all "cool & suave" turning into a bouncing, pouting puppy is cuz he got these two ppl who happen to bring out that playful side, lol especially after so long alone.. xD

    The same reason a certain ~dokkaebi was apparently a "mighty warrior", yet give him a snarky angel & cheery fairy, voila he's a lovesick fool who enjoys childish pranks & battles ;P 

    Can't get over this scene so funny so cuute & omg I want that power too!! @___@ #ultimateawesome 

    Even tho it makes ZERO SENSE since HSJ is the only one who can see him.. & YJO ~still wears a suit!!

    aaww lol that cmt reminded me of HSJ's ~grumpy face back when pup!YJO was getting all the cuddles from JS.. ^-^ 

    YJO actually seems more the type who would be happy just being together, not competitive about anything really.. <3 

    totally loved this scene too, might iconize it next: omg sooo muuch cuuteness! *pets pup* he knows how to get his way!

    Btw, wasn't Jeon Seol was reborn as a ~writer too? In the first ep, it was said how instead 

    of ~idols/actors/etc she wrote RPF ("real person fic") about HSJ+BTM.. lol or maybe was it

    mistranslated or I misread it? Writing fic may not be a "job" but it is still smth that takes talent

    to do well & to be appreciated by fellow fans.. too bad it was never brought up since then.. xD

    Did anyone else try to read any of the cmts for "CT: mini-novel" as they scrolled by on-screen? 

    As described, most seemed focused on mainly the ~default ship, but a few mentioned ShinYul.. 

    plus at least ~one which said smth about "bromance these days" lol referring to him & SHY <3

    As "ANASTASIA" is one of my fave films of all time, here's the specific movie details: 

    (note: film-verse info/timeline is completely diff from RL story/facts/etc, of course) 

    The royal family was ~betrayed by a power-mad sorcerer who instigates a revolution.. 

    When the palace is raided, young Anastasia (8) tries to escape with her grandmother.. 

    Unfortunately, she gets lost, knocked unconscious, grows up an amnesiac orphan girl.. 

    In the movie, "Anya" leaves an orphanage at about 18yo, ten years later ("1926").. 

    She decides to follow ~hints to memories of her past such as a pendant necklace.. 

    That is when she meets Dimitri, whom she does not remember was the kitchen boy,

    who had helped her escape way back when, & has grown up to be a ~conman, lol.. 

    Anya is never really "in disguise" tho, as she always wears a dress, various styles.. 

    But Dimitri notices her ~resemblance to young Anastasia & then wants to use her, 

    to act as the "real deal" for a reward, & that is how their story begins together.. xD

    I do agree that this series makes me think of (rare) similar stories.. maybe I'll make a list!

    yet still I like to hope to see it as a more ~serious potential route someday.. #sappydreamer

    Okay, here's one theory. For some reason I've not seen it mentioned anywhere, even as an alternative to what is implied as canon so far (I see many ppl relying on the so-called promo material tho, most likely inaccurately translated anyways, & also names? always subject to change, lol). Were only males named Wang? Wasn't Kim a popular surname even back then? (tho in diff clans) I swear I read the queen's name as "WangBi" once.. lol. 

    What if.. the General was the prince's older, illegitimate half brother? Thus a stronger motive for jealousy. And as their father died while the prince was still young, he claimed the throne as the new king.. & to ~assert his power, chose the girl who loved his brother to be queen. The chief royal adviser is privy to their dark secrets & uses that to manipulate the young king, fueling all his insecurities about being new to the throne. While the General just tries to do his job, help the ppl, & respects that he can never be with his love again. The one he fell for amidst the buckwheat fields. The one whom he gave a ring to, & who still wears it as her own way of staying true to her heart despite her circumstances. They are never meant to be.

    So as he spends his days out fighting for his king, the adviser notices he has the support of the ppl & plots to have him killed in the next battle. Yet against all odds.. the General makes it back, alive. So of course, the adviser becomes desperate. He pulls out all the snakiest tricks to urge the king to now take deadly action.. & convinces him that the queen has been still seeing the General behind the king's back. His anger sufficiently fired up, the king has her put first in the line of fire.. along with anyone else remotely associated with him, be they servants or cousins.. lines them all up. Surely, the General would rather die than risk ALL their lives? Especially that of his love.. but the young king did not count on her actually encouraging the General to go forward.. especially when there was obviously no way he was making it any closer.

    Did she really prefer ~death over being his queen, that much? The first ppl, mostly women, are executed in front of the General. He never even looked back when her highness fell. He pushes on, only stopping when he so randomly locks eyes with his faithful servant.. & is fully confronted with the truth. Too many lives have been lost already; he cannot win. If this kingdom is ever to be saved, it won't be by him. He must choose an honorable death while he has a choice. And so he does, & expecting to follow those who went before him.. but his death is a much slower one. This is why he loses faith in any higher power. How could they let this happen? So much suffering, while ~greed takes control. Anyone with a heart would say that's a cruel world indeed, no justice for the good, no peace for the noble, & love? Hah, not in this lifetime, or any other. It will only end in tears.

    This is how his last thoughts go. Little does he know that it will be a few decades of unrest in the limbo of a sleepless death, & when he is awoken, the long-building flames of resentment send him straight to the royal palace, where he intends to find the king & finish what he started before he was forced to stop for the sake of the remaining innocent lives.. the General wants to understand WHY the king has hated him so strongly all this time. Unfortunately, he realizes it is too late, once he sees the royal coffin. The king has moved on from this world already. They will never get a chance to reconcile. It is quite possible that this was part of the adviser's plan all along. It doesn't matter.. the place is nothing but a memory, & is burned like one. Maybe the king sincerely regretted his actions later in his extended life.. as paintings of the queen are strewn about, of which the General saves just one.. the only thing he will have to remember her by. And now he is all alone.. except for a new friend?

    With regret settling in, & now no longer a General but a mystical creature.. perhaps also the first of his kind? The Goblin he sets out with a new purpose: live a better life, quietly help when needed, look for his two closest ppl who so willingly died for him: the queen, & his second-in-command. He feels as if he needs to move past that urge for revenge.. yet that will become smth he struggles with for many more years, under this cursed reward of a living death. 

    The Queen. She too, died slowly, & watched tragedy unfold in front of her. Would she finally get peace? It didn't seem likely. But she chose this. Did the others? She should have thought this thru. But she also, had no more faith left. Thus, imagine her surprise when it's not just instant darkness, but smth completely unexpected. 

    The King. Eventually caught on to the wicked adviser's treachery, but too late. He was slowly poisoned & no one ever knew.. til he was already terminal. So he spent his last days trying to remember ~her face. With hopes to see her in his next life, if he were fortunate enough to have one at all, that is. He wanted to recognize her.. even if all his memories were gone & no one else pays any attention to him at all.. he vows to find ~her. His mortal life ended in his late 20s, having been stressed ever since that showdown in the courtyard at age 17. 

    Goblin. He was in his own 20s at the time of his death, & is now going on a full millennium. Jaded by his extra-long life, he regards everything wearily & with only passing interest. Until three special ppl (DH, GR, ET) come into his world.. & suddenly he is having feelings & reactions totally topsy turvy to anything he's ever known before.. what now? 

    Reaper. One of many. But yet ~smth causes him to cross paths with a certain goblin, & suddenly his unlife begins to become much more alive than he is used to.. why is he here? How did he end up as a reaper anyway? How is it that he tears up everytime that goblin seems to really mean those petty insults? Why does he insist on pushing him away when the idea of the goblin leaving him kinda actually breaks his heart? Wait, do reapers even have hearts? In the metaphorical sense, of course. What is so special about that ring?? And just who is that girl? Well, that last one could be answered easily.. but maybe he doesn't really want to kno. Better to stay away, it's too much trouble to risk- yet the curiousity, it's strong. 

    Sunny. A girl who relies on her beauty to get spoiled by any man with money.. yet she runs a food shop with no customers. How is her place even open? What made it even possible for her to hire an employee with a zero income or profit margin? She then finds a ring, but is more interested in the man she found crying over it & who seems oblivious to all her signals. Is he an alien? Whatever his reasons are for being so strange, she is fascinated. She can't really explain it, but she feels almost.. ~drawn to him. Like a memory from a dream. 

    ... 

    ..whaat. Hmm, clearly I got carried away here. LOL. 

    So anyways.. my theory all boils down to: time passes differently in the afterlife, Reaper is the queen & it counts as a reincarnation thus the diff in gender, her sin was not stopping the General from his walk of doom, & Sunny is the king, who was formerly worshipped but now lives a life of abandonment, he may have also done time in the dark side of the afterlife, before getting this chance but he ~was also just a puppet really.. & so now imagine, KimShin getting his ~brother back as a "sister" && his first love as his current roomie.. oh & I kno ppl are very hyped on that "first love" quote re: EunTak, but it was just a line in a poem- ie, technically it could also just represent his "first" love in all these 900+ immortal years,  lol the same way we say "first in a long while"! (yeah I'm ~reaching however I can, haha)

Why would they dress him like that when he will be confronting a guy from ET past? Even if TH is a friend or an ex-boyfriend, KS should be dressed to the nines! 

    Maybe he's trying to look less like an ajussi & took fashion advice from ~DeokHwa? LOL ;P

    First post! ^-^ Longtime lurker tho.. ^__~

    Whew, I just finally caught up with the entire thread, lol only took.. just over a whole week or so, haha.

    I rarely follow current Kseries/etc, tho I did give in a bit this past year, & then I vowed to avoid watching any live dramas ever again after Jealousy Incarnate destroyed me with its twisted teasing then ruining of everything I usually hope for & look fwd to but rarely get, lol.. pfftt.

    Then this showed up with its two leads being ridiculously adorkable in the promo clips etc being linked all over & I was a goner, lol. I'm a ~seasoned viewer of paranormal melodramedy type series in English.. (ie, Buffy/Angel, Charmed, Smallville, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Grimm, etc) so this has definitely got me hooked now!

    Immortal love? Telekinesis, telepathy, & teleportation? Snarky bickering cuties? Hilarious / awkward / squeeful reactions, expressions, & hijinks galore? Goofy smiles & PUPPY POUTS? Yes, yess, yesss! Then there's the parts I get to rewrite- because I *mentally* rewrite like almost every single serial I watch, lol it's very rare I'll "accept" any of the canon plot writing of my angsty fandoms.. ;P

    But a major part of the fun watching a current series that I truly get invested in is predicting whether it will go cliche or actually surprise me.. I love being surprised! Of course it hardly ever happens, but I'm very optimistic.

    I'll try to get around to sharing my own theories soon.. for now here's some fanart for our two leads in the form of a promo poster for the version of the story I wish we could get.. loool xD
