  1. This ep really gave a lot of the major characters an opportunity to shine from GM, CY, ES and even Duck hind richard simmons.   As I'm reading/seeing the recap I'm realzing that they each had some really important and strong scenes which were also critical in development of the story.

  2. Gals, first and foremost THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!  You are doing an aweome job and I'm following every step of the way.

Below are just some of my thoughts as I follow the recap.  I'm not sure if it's more appropriate for me to wait until the recap is done?  I don't want to affect the flow of your wonderful recap (and all your hard work).  Please let me know if commentary should be left till the end

@mattie2012 how I wish there was an option for multiple selections on posts (awesome, plus LOL etc)  I would give you an awesome for your awesome job recapping the ep and a LOL for your comment about ES's cryptic notes that she left to herself.  And then if I could create additonal "true that" option I would give you that too.  Maybe the cryptic sometimes vague messages is another way to test and have Faith in herself and her realationship/love with CY.

Seeing DH's face (it's a pretty face -I see my Dear @myphim why at some point you were taken by the pretty :) Too bad he was such a baddie) again on screen bring me back to all the times I wanted to slap his smug face. Yes, DH knows nothing of HONOR, he is someone who just thinks of himself no matter what.  He is quite the opposite of our General and now that I think about it we have change to see complete opposite facets of human being and what makes them tick (how they think, how they act).  DH is an example of what one would not like to become where as CY is what we would all like to strive to be like.

In this ep we continue to see GM's growth and understanding of what it truly means to be a leader.  It's just sitting in the palace listening to scholars giving him his thoughts.  To truly make effective decisions that will affect his people he needs to be around them and hear from them. Here again is another aspect of Faith that I love that even though it's a historical drama this message is very relevant in today's time.

Well, uncle/brother has already served his wife once with divorce papers, but she tore them up, so good luck with that.  On another note, I don't mean to be picky, but who in this day and age sends a videotape to someone?  Good thing Grandma is strong as an ox and ripped the plastic box right open.  I know that's what I would do.

When I saw them receive the box I thought do they even have a computer?  I think their older son might.  When I saw the videotape I thought "how smart" because this is the technology level of the parents.

The other thing that came to my mind is the VHS was perfect object for senile granny to destroy. I don't think we would have gotten the same affect from her scratching a DVD. I also thought maybe SA doesn't think they can afford a DVD player.

    Some quick thoughts ep 16

Wow, the behavior and thinking of the elders in this show is awful.  If I was Woo Jae I would be heartbroken with his Father’s reaction to him revealing that in fact he knows that he is not his grandson.  The fact that Father/Grandpa continues to deny the truth and to add insult to injury tells Woo Jae that whether her mother is alive does not matter is horrible.  I like this little twist in the storyline because all along I that that U Jae’s mom was dead and would not mind if she appeared down the road.

Dare I say that I’m starting to dislike the Grandpa/Father as much as SA.   If SA is so interested in getting married than maybe she should marry the Grandpa/Father since they are both ridiculous, selfish, and delusional like they say in Spanish son el uno para el otro (they are made for each other with the twisted way they look at the world).

I love every scene with Woo Jae and NB.  I really love Woo Jae character is he such an upstanding guy.   I love the storyline of the elder brother and his admirer, they help to bring a balance to the constant evil planning that SA and it seems now Grandpa/Father are up to.

@baduy, thank you so much for the summary of ep 17.   I saw it this morning raw and can tell that more the story is developing and I would say picking up a good pace.   I look forward to seeing how each characters react as more things are out in the open (such as SA’s brother’s suicide, SA’s latest attempt to twist NB and Woo Jae’s relationship in the eyes of the in-laws into something inappropriate) I look for watching the ep with subs.

  5. @myphim, I do think you have super human powers. :).  Good night.

@sia3 hi!!!  Work and family stuff have kept me busy lately but the Faith thread is not far from my thoughts.  Even if I'm not commenting I'm def reading all the posts and all the goodies that you and everyone else shares with us.

  6. @awesomeduck I love your analysis of the meanings behind CY's attire.  I can't say that I gave it much thought during the show (well besides thinking that CY looked good :) )  But you are right and you said it so well   "For me the blue one showcased a change in CY's mindset almost like a brighter beginning and this was when Eun Soo started to enter his mind and his heart.

@cupcakedarling, you are to sweet. I always enjoy hearing (reading) everyone's thoughts and insights. It makes watching the drama more enjoyable, and I'm glad to see more ppl (like you) join us. Like @manquant I joined soompi to have ppl who love kdramas as I do to talk because my family and friends don't get (even as much as I've tried to explain to them that it's good stuff)

@manquant if your interested is watching the flashback scene were WJ finds out that his "grandfather" is really his dad....it's ep 4 around min 19:39. WJ's back story is one of the things I'm most interested to learn more about.

@xwinm thanks for the summary/insight into ep 16. I look forward to watching with subs.

I saw ep 16 raw and like both @cupcakedarling and @manquant wish I understood Korean. I don't think I've ever wanted to speak a language more :). My impression of ep 16 is that various characteristics were given screen time and it was not all SA and her evil doing. I think this is good as it helps to balance things out more.

I think that WJ is giving NB the attention and support that Roy never did. How can she not at least or appreciate what he has done for her. Ithink it's def a good think that that WJ is seeing how crazy SA truly is and I think her actions will continue to bring NB and him closer (take that witch).

Viki has been on a roll with the subs (thank you subbers) and I think that ep 15 should be fully subbed soon. And then ep 16 should follow.

@xwinm thank you for the summary of ep 15.  I'm glad to see some movement in the storyline...I think that NB finding out at least to some extent that SA dislikes and is not her friend is needed so that the story can move forward a bit.  I liked the part where the sinile gradma called Ujae oppa, oppa. SA is just too much sending the video to the families...it's a good thing that Uje divorced her because she is completely insane.

And @xwinm welcome!  I see your a new member :)

  10. @azzurri, @kappy, @yuuni and @myphim hi!!!  Thanks for shout out and encouraged to post.  I’ve been on mute mode but I’m here still very much loving all things Faith.   And of course this thread is my go to place for all things Faith related and you all my extended Faith familia. J

@briseis, I voted for our imja couple as the OTP of 2012.  Like you feel that they had tons of chemistry, and I never once thought of the age difference.  They became ES and CY and their love for each other was beautifully shown in the show.  KHS did a great job as ES I often wonder if the ppl we criticize Faith were watching the same drama I was…because I DON’T THINK SO.

    Edit:  Un saludo a @anace :)

  11. Hi Faithlings. Just wanted to say that I love reading everyone's posts...like the Energizer Bunny this thread keeps going and going. I'm more of a reader that a writer in this thread but I love having such great things to read :)

Sign me up for the Stabbing Brigade as well. @yunni LOL at your "penetrate" and "pd-nim" comment. I must agree those words together make my brain go into immediate shutdown mode. :D

I feel like I’m late to the party but I have been reading everyone’s comments.  It’s great to see more people sharing their thought on this drama.

Sorry for back tracking a bit.  @manquant I would a 100% agree that I felt that LMH and KHS had great chemistry and I never once thought about the age difference while watching Faith.  I think that what’s important is if the actors have chemistry and if they can become the character they are portraying.  I do think that the two leads are excellent in this drama.

Like many of you am a bit confused by some of the lack of reaction that I’m seeing such as when NB saw SA after the miscarriage.  I also would have hit first and talked later.  I have come to realize that I have to leave my common sense at the door sometimes when tuning in.   Also NB’s mother in law is just not that likeable she always has such a bitter face, I can hardly tell when she is happy or sad.   I also think the fact that Woo Jae is always around when NB is in need a bit unrealistic but I like seeing their interactions and I’m really rooting for them as a couple.  I think that NB really intrigues Woo Jae and I think that she has come in as force to shake up is previously very structured, work driven life.

I also must say that I concur with everyone in that I don’t think that NB is to blame for the death of SA’s brother.  If he committed suicide (has that been confirmed?  I only saw ep 14 raw and could not understand a thing) then he made a choice and even if he was heartbroken he made the decision not to continue on.  I don’t think that the death of her brother as painful as that was for SA justifies all the horrible things that she has and continues to do.  I do not feel an ounce of pity for SA, I just find her a selfish, cold, despicable person.  She has not only done horrible things to NB but does not give a second thought to hurting others even if they have done nothing to her as long as she can use NB as an excuse.

I look forward to NB realizing (I hope soon!) that SA is not her friend and someone she should trust.  At the very least she I hope NB realizes that SA actions are a bit bi-polar one minute she is acting nice to her and the next she is tearing her down (not your friend-NB).  I agree that to balance out all the hardships that NB is going through we need to get more of the side stories.   I also look forward to getting more information on Woo Jae’s background, we really don’t know much about him yet.

I do think that this drama has a lot of things to offer so I’m tuning in still for many reasons: NB finding out about SA, NB finding out about Roy, having Roy come back and turn things upside down, getting more info on Woo Jae, having the characters realize how connected they are to each other and eventually having NB and Woo Jae come to realization that they care about each other etc…

Sorry, for the long post but again I’m happy to see more ppl on thread J

I look forward to seeing ep 14 with subs so that I can get a better understanding of what SA believes happened with her brother.

Edit: I'm only watchted up to ep 13 but I'm with you @guccigal328 SA is Crazy (with a capital C).

@prettybo ep's 11 & 12 come out this Sat and Sun. You can watch them raw on vicky (which is usually where I watch). It seems darksmufsub are

    the fastest subbing the drama.

    Hope that helps.

@prisma thanks for the heads up.

I've been checking the other sites I watch Butterfly Lady but none have ep's 11 and 12 subbed :(
