    Ha Ji-won meets fans in Taipei

    Actress Ha Ji-won had a fan meeting in Taipei yesterday to promote her latest MBC drama "Empress Qi", which has been airing on local television since Wednesday. It was her visit to the city in seven years.

    Ha is considered one of the Korean Wave pioneers in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, where her previous TV dramas like "Secret Garden" (2010) garnered high viewership over the years. 

    "Empress Qi" will be aired in prime time nationwide. The drama won 33.9 percent viewer ratings in Korea, which is considered very high.

    After Taiwan, Ha will head to Japan on June 28 to continue the international promotion.

    In the meantime, she will be filming "Chronicle of a Blood Merchant", the much-awaited film directed by actor and filmmaker Ha Jeong-woo, based on Chinese author Yu Hua's 1995 novel of the same title.

    Tomorrow, June 10 Ha Ji Won is scheduled to have a fan meeting with Empress Ki's fans in Taiwan. The fan meeting will take place at CTS hall starting at 13:30 PM (GMT+8). . CTS is the local channel which brought the brodcasting rights of Empress Ki. According to our friend @Irache1 , the fan meeting is open for public. She said this will be the first public event in Taiwan. And CTS will prepare about 300 lottery cards. The lucky fans who win the lucky card will have a chance to take a picture with Ha Ji Won! Thanks to our kind friend @Irache1 for all the info.

    Review from a Korean fan at the airport

    (Part 1) Hmm...I am trying to write a fan account. Since I am not at writing and arranging sentence, please bear with me. Actually I was hesitating whether I should go the airport or not. I just found out about Ha Ji Won's flight around 1AM. And just realized about her leaving for Taiwan. To be honest I am not good at memorizing date. I sometimes forget about what the datw today is. hahaha After getting the info from DC Gallery, I posted something on fancafe to ask the exact time of her flight. One of the operator replied that if I arrive at 7AM I might get to see her. It's turned out that her flight was at 9.25 AM. So it meant I had to leave around 5AM from my place. It takes almost two hours to reach Incheon International Airport from my place by bus+subway. Ok that I texted my friend about getting to the airport. She promised me that she would go with me. After realizing it was already 2AM so I decided to sleep. Before that I set my alarm to 4.30 AM. I had woken up even before the alarm called me. I couldn't sleep well, it's just a mere 2hours of nap. ㅠㅠ I prepared everything including Ha Ji Won's book 'At This Moment' that I bought one and a half year ago. I planned to ask for her sign on the book. Around 5AM I left my place to meet my friend. But she made me wait around 10 minutes. After she came we decided to take a cab instead of a taxi to save time and we were also worried that we might be late. We arrived at Incheon International Airport at almost 7AM. 

    (part 2) We were looking for check-in counter H where Ha Ji Won was scheduled to check in at. In minutes we finally found the counter. The check-in counter was not so crowded. And we saw some fans from official fancafe were already there waiting for Ha Ji Won. I greeted them and said hi. One of them said that Ha Ji Won would arrive soon. After knowing she would arrive soon we went outside to the drop-off area and were waiting there. Everyone seemed so ready with their light sticks and also cameras. Seriously I was so nervous!! Around 8AM, Ha Ji Won's van finally showed up!!!!! But she didn't get off from the van as soon as it arrived. It took her about 15 minutes to get off the van. And Finally! Ha Ji Won! She looked so feminine, cute and pretty with the black shorts, white ruffled top! She smiled as soon as she got off the car! She crossed the zebra cross and walked towards us. OMG she's approching! My heart could not stop beating fast! We greeted her, she waved and smiled to us. One of the fans was lucky enough to get the chance to pass her a gift. She went inside the building and we were following here. I even recorded her from behind when she was walking to the check in counter. I just realized when looking at her back. She really has a slim body! She's so responsive. She would respond to what you said to her. One of the fans was even talking to her naturally when she was walking. It's just like having a conversation with a friend. And she smiled a lot! That might be one of her young look secret. And you know what happened to me. I was so speechless, so shock, so in an awe. I could not even utter the words more than just 안녕하세요 ㅠㅠ I even forgot my plan to ask for her sign ㅠㅠ 

    (part 3) Ok let's move on... At the counter she was waiting for her turn to check in. She was talking to one of Haewadal's staff. She also smiled and waved hands to us while waiting. One of the fans asked her what happened to her arm, it's bruised. I didn't hear what she said. I guess it might be bacause of the filming she got that bruise. Get well soon! Ok now it's her turn to check in. I was looking at her deeply from a few meters away. I just used that precious minutes to silently looking at her and admire her deeply. hahaha..do I sound a bit exaggerating? After a few minutes the check in was done. She walked straight to enter gate 123. Fans wished her a safe flight and safely return to Korea. I saw the seconds that she entered the room until she dissappeared from our sight because the door was closed. Well, I also saw her manager. He was so handsome in that suit. hahaha Today was one of the happiest day in my life that I had the chance to meet a person who inspires me and the one who I admire. Even though this was not the first time I saw her but this was indeed the longest time I saw her. ~the end~
