  1. @marie67 that's why I say Park Min Yeong was the stupidest woman on earth to break up with Lee Min Ho u_ú Well, just my luck, more single MinHo for me
    :x
BTW, about this thread being daebak, I'm totally with you. I usually hate foruns (you can see I don't have many posts here~) but this thread personally is making me LOVE it! All the theories and the lulz... I spent the whole day craving to read more from you all <3

@ahoxan LOL don't get shy now xD Just keep'em coming :D

    @LuvMinHo and whoelse concerns:
I just re-watched episode 6 and did notice that when the young king appears, it's written exactly
    경창부원군
충정왕, 충혜왕의 서자, 고려 제 30대왕 - that translates into:
GyeongChang buwongun (some kind of royal title - I actually found some references to this title but they're from Joseon era :/ If someone knows better, please, enlighten me!?)
King ChungJeong (as I said earlier ;;) ), king ChungHye's bastard son, 30th great king (daewang = wang means "king" and dae is prefix for "great") of Goryeo.

-> if I remember correctly, in the earlier episodes it was mentioned that "Chung" is Mongol. It means the king ascended by the Yuan Empire's will. GongMin even mentioned it with a relief when EunSoo told him his postumous name is Gongmin - it doesn't carry the Chung, which means they were free from Yuan's domination.
-> this ChungHye is GongMin's elder brother, the one who killed Yeong's master and shamed his former crush. It makes the young king Gongmin's nephew.
-> ChungJeong rulled for about two years only.

    Edit:
It just occurred me that they call GiCheol "Prince of Buwon"
Prince of Buwon... Buwon Gun... That's probably the same, since "gun" is a title for prince :D

*rants* argh! Sometimes writting in English get on my nerves! I can't freely drop names to make the text less repetitive ~X(

  2. @Anomalous
The little kid can be King ChungJeong, GongMin's predecessor.
I searched from him in wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chungjeong_of_Goryeo

"(...) was enthroned by imperial edict at the age of 12."
12 is about the boy's age, right?

If they call him "Mama", he is a king, not a prince. Princes (as far as I know from all the sageuks I've watched) go by the title "JeonHa".

If the kid is indeed ChungJeong, he's the exiled king, son of ChungMok (the one who killed Yeong's master - he's GongMin's elder brother).

    @farstrep

Life is not a constant. It will change. As she interacts with more people, she will slowly recall and appreciate the once valued virtues that she's forgotten when she's residing in the modern world. We have already witnessed a change in her in Epi 5 when she tries to pound her own concoction to save Choi Young's life.

Perfect! That's what I'm looking for in Faith and so far have not been disappointed. Characters' realistic development. I do have high hopes for her. I was simply analizing her current character and the probable reasons she said things so recklessly :)

I think by the end of the series, we might be able to see a different but improved version of Eun Soo.

    I'm in with you! \o
  3. @rrmski @nateko
Unfortunately not everyone is sentitive or attentive of what they say. Few people consider the other's feelings when saying those things, mainly talkative people and those who speak their minds freely.
I myself suffer from this flaw (speaking my mind a bit recklessly).
We have to consider EunSoo appears to be a lonely person and not very lucky in relashionship terms. It's hard for loners to understand those aspects unless you've suffered them youselves - which seems not ES's case :/

I actually find very interesting the writter putting in this trait for her. For more hurtsome it may be for our General, it does give off a more realistic feeling to her character (at least for me it does).

@xopo17 actually no. Choe Yeong is supposed to be 29 in the drama (4 years older than the real Lee MinHo) and EunSu is supposed to be 33 (2 years younger than the real Kim HeeSeon).

  4. Ohh, since we're all so worried about our puppy Daeman, I'll make a spazz post with some of his pictures I found on a Korean news wesite :D

    IE001482455_STD.jpg

    IE001482451_STD.jpg

    IE001482449_STD.jpg

    IE001482453_STD.jpg

He is called Kim Jong Mun (김종문) and seems to be a rookie, since I'm having a lot of trouble finding more pictures or info about him... :-?

But, oh, well... Let's have faith that our great doctor will save him [-O<

Please, be OK, Daeman! It's definitely too soon for you to die :(

  5. From Jooni's recap:

He tells the kid to bring her medical supplies since she has to treat a patient and don’t let anyone see you. He says to come at night so the kid thinks he wants to spend time alone with her so young is about to hit the kid

    OMO!! KKKKKKKKKKKK ROFL
    =))

No, Yeong, please don't release your sexual frustration on the poor Daeman!!

Oh, and from next episode's preview:

ES says cant you go with me - you dont have to kill anyone there so go with me to the heavenly world

    I'm DYING for him to go! Even if for a short time, pleeeease go!! ;;

  6. @farstrep @Tinkiebell
That's indeed a good theory! :) I'm in for it. She needed to get the king's attetion somehow for him to see she's not playing around or some witless doll... Well, let's wait and see next week.

    Why only next week?
    :((

@briseis TY for the youtube link. Currently downloading it in LQ to watch on the bus going back home :D

  7. @myphim2009 you welcome :) I linked the referenced site, if you wanna peek into the full recap :D

@Tinkiebell yeah, I agree with you about Noguk. Maybe they were trying to show us more of her strong-willed character but... yeah, it was pointless and utterly stupid! I don't know if this attitude really matches her character, she's not one to make harsh decisions, from what we saw so far
    :-?

  8. @nateko waaaaay too cute to die, indeed *o*

    Ahh, I wanna watch itttttttttt
    ~X(

Let's hope the king's excessive screentime is worth it in the end to help tie the knots of the story. I know it can get kinda boring but I'm almost sure this is the reason. We need a solid background before delving deeper into Yeong's story and his romance with the doctor from the future, since most of it will take place in said king's court, beneath said king's own nose while trying to protect said king. They can't just throw the events into an unknown environment.

Please, let's bear it for some while before solidifying our opinions about it :(
Even because if Yeong starts big, there will be small room for his development and me personally DO NOT want this! I wanna keep up with him climbing his steps to greateness, to being a true hero ^_^

  9. From Vingle recap:

Meanwhile, now they are drinking together with GC. GC pour the drink to CY, and ES was surprised. She said, "why did you drink that?? what if it is poisoned??" CY said, "i don't have to worry. I have you, doctor, here." AWWWWWWW

    AWWWWWWWWWWW² :x

S tried to go to some other place to sleep, but CY said, "here. lie here, next to me." ES said, "what? a girl and a guy? in the middle of the night?"

    AWWWWWWWWWWW³ :D
    and

CY said, " I have a favor to ask. Please shut up and go to sleep."

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK she FINALLY got on his nerves xDDD
    =))

  10. I must admit General Choe suddenly dropped lowwww on my standarts after the "concubine" part
    [-(

Even worse! Giving his daughter to be a concubine also!!
    X(

But then again... it's wikipedia. While I think it's a reliable source, I know it's not perfect, so I'm still hoping there's someone who knows better than wikipedia~

  11. Guys, since someone brought the topic about real Choe Yeong's wife family name being "Yu", I did some research, but so far I just found a note on Kr wikipedia:

    • 아버지 : 최원직(崔元直)
    • 어머니 : 이름 미상
    • 처 : 이름 미상
      • 아들 : 최담(崔潭)
    • 첩 : 이름 미상

So far as my lame Korean permits, it's written:
    • Father: Choe Won Jik
    • Mother: name unknown
    • Wife: name unknown
      • Son: Choe Dam
    • Concubine: name unknown
      • Daughter: (I couldn't find what yeongbi means, but I'm **betting** it's something related to princess or a royal person) Yeongbi Choe Ssi (King Woo's concubine)
As much as I fell in love with it, I think the theory of Choi Young's real wife is kinda destroyed (sorryyyyyyy >___<) :(

    *ranting*
Snorts at how important Korean history thinks women were to not even note such hero's wife's name...
  12. @briseis
aheuaheuaheuaehua what to do if it's so addicting? Can't help but compare them though... I began to call every royal guard as "kingsguard" after GoT :D
It's only a pity neither GoT's Kingsguard nor Queensguard has some hot warriors like our Daejang :(
