xjjjLOVE - even though SM entertainment is huge and scary and dominating, this shouldnt lead you to believe that it manages all the big stars of the kpop scene (theres heaps of other companies btw). EH isnt even really kpop - i believe they're more underground, apart from the fact their songs have become really popular and into the mainstream.
anyway, EH would never be under SM i think because, imo SM thinks like this:
looks/pretty face > dance/hot body > actual musical talent. therefore they produce a lot of manufactured pop songs.
whereas epik high makes original, fresh, sincere music.

ok, the first thing to mention is HIS EYES. yeah yeah, we all know that he has the smoking, dark eyed, long lashed gaze. BUT! in the MV WOOWWW. even through the shite quality on yt, TOP's GAZE MADE MY HEART MELT. OH, THAT GAZE.
*ahem* ...even though the mv was the basic cliche korean drama story (what else do you expect?), i think it still goes pretty well with gummy's awesome song (yeah, i REALLY like the song). as vip_gd,Poop-Shoop-A-Loop and melody said im was like "OMG, ITS LIKE LIES!" - the phone+'yoboseyo'-esque bit, lighting etc etc. and it reminded me of the red roc's hello hello mv too - shots of him running and TOP sure does like breaking mirrors (& other things)
anyway, back onto TOP's acting skills. he really has improved a lot - and it was pretty believable...just weak during the but "oh no she has died -im doing the manly cry now" bit xD.
as trang said , top isnt the type you would imagine crying anyway
. as he IS a newbie at acting so, its pretty well done - of COURSE TOP's HOTNESS makes everything 100000000x more enjoyable >w<i thought the best acting parts was right at the beginning when he's nest to the motorcycle, and then chucks a spaz at the tape/mirror/furniture
......and did i mention how MUCH i like TOP in the motorcycle scenes? psshhh, ignoring the fact he cant do those wheelies and actually ride the bike and whatnot.
and THE KISS. gah, stupid/smart MR.YG - creating so much hype about it, and its not even a intense/romantic/sad kiss - just a small peck which lasts about a second. oh well, good managing tactics thou^^...the chemistry/feeling between TOP and S.P was....ehhhhhh...not really that great haha. was anyone else questioning TOP's dorky/cute look with the slicked back hair and glasses?
TOP's rapping - deep&smooth and wonderful as always, it went very nicely with the soothing song. i REALLY REALLY like the song. its is SO GOOD.
basically, i thought the MV was nicely done, you get a pretty intense feeling/mood from the MV overall - and TOP's part in the song was REALLY good.

there is NO RUMOR about tablo getting shipped off to the army.
it all got started by somnia in the previous page mentioning something about she DOESNT want tablo shipped off to the army
im pretty sure he would have a dual/canadian citizenship anyway and therefore, this exempts him from army duties. anyway, tablo is 28 now, and most korean stars go when they turn 29/30yrs old. so even IF he did end up going (which is highly unlikely) theres a couple of years left.

Big Bang's Taeyang, solo debut...but for now devoted to overseas activities.
*a/n - notice the whole article says 'might' and 'planned', ie nothing is definite yet.
During the interruption in national activities for the boy group Big Bang, member Taeyang (real name; Dong Young Bae) will debut as a solo artist.
After recording Taeyang's upcoming March single, he will come out and promote it as a solo artist. In addition, it is planned that TOP will continue as a MC for MBC 'Show! Music Core' and will stop (these individual activities) at the same time as Taeyang.
Recording last years single 'My Girl' Taeyang showed his solo artist, and recording this time it is planned this time (TY) will show his appeal/charm that was previously not seen during Big Bang activities. Taeyang begun in YG family as a rapper, but over the course of becoming a Big Bang member he turned into a singer.
It is planned that Big Bang Taeyang's other members will also one after another announce solo recordings.
Early next month, (Big Bang) will cross over to Japan and will open up with promotion of their debut single 'How Gee'. Then late March, it is planned that they will stage an independent concert. Presently in Korea, 'How Gee' with its english lyrics is mostly on the 5th position in many online music charts. Also in Japan, with the real promotion it is expected that it (How Gee) will be met with a strong response.
Big Bang in March will have Japan activities, and while entering into April it is planned that they will have promotional activities in Thailand that may also lead to an independent concert.

"you are my destiny" - was such a CUTE and FUNNY pref. everyone - even the back dancers - seemed like they were having HEAPS of fun. the first little wavy move gahhh. and then OH, TODAE love and the G-RI LOVE. GAHH...and as usual our cool-as-a-cucumber TY was looking the most sensible xDD. and then, dae started feeling sr in the wrong place
...AHAHA. and then it was the 'im so cold' move. XD. of course DS did it the best~. then suddently haha was at the front and BIG BANG started popping out..i loved this. 태양은 오는 3월 싱글 음반을 발표하고 솔로가수로 활동에 나선다. 아울러 탑은 MBC '쇼! 음악중심' MC자리를 계속해서 맡으며 태양과 함께 개인활동을 벌일 예정이다.
지난해 싱글에서 솔로곡 'My Girl'을 수록하면서 솔로가수로서 면모를 보여줬던 태양은 이번 음반에서 빅뱅활동에서 보여주지 못했던 자신만의 매력을 충분히 보여줄 예정이다. 태양은 애초 YG패밀리에서 래퍼로 시작했지만, 빅뱅 멤버가 되면서 싱어로 진로를 변경했다.
빅뱅은 태양에 이어 다른 멤버들도 차례로 솔로음반을 발표할 예정이다.

its basically about YB's solo being released sometime in march, How Gee doing well in the k-charts, and what BigBang is doing in japan+overseas. apparently they might have a concert in Japan in March and then Thailand in April.
