Hehehe....I am truly a sucker for kissing scenes more so if CJW is the female partner. Glad I led you on with the imaginary kissing scenes and the rating is just for fun-sake, nothing against any of the actors' skills coz like in BYJ's case in WS, I think he didn't expect he lose out to PYH (forced-smacked-kiss bed-scene) - while surprisingly he only got a script for a mild-kiss more like a "touch-on-lips" kind of kissing scene with CJW (such a disappointment for a famous drama which is billed as the creator of hallyu-wave!). **big sigh** The only consolation is the romantic set-up of the dusk sea-view, sealed with a loving embrace...and that's it, folks!

i think WS started it all for me.... i watched BD and hotelier before that... maybe i couldnt really appreciate BD cos it was in the midst of my exams then, though i recall sacrificing an hour to watch the last epidose... hahaha... but WS really started it all... must have watched that at least 6 times or more by now... I loved the last scene in WS too... so romantic... and i loved that house... cant seem to decide which is better... a house by the cliff (well, it looked like a mini cliff sort of thing) like in WS or by the sea/lake like in Il Mare.... hmmm....
But after a phase of watching so many KDramas (including STH, which was ALSO in the midst of my exams.... geezzz.... and now AC is in the middle of my exams too!!! :'( ), i got a bit bored (for lack of a better word)... the story line was almost always the same... till Rondo (ok, that wasnt REALLY a KDrama... but CJW overwrites everything... hahaha) and now... AIRCITY!!!!!!! I'm loving this series so far...
I cant wait to see a KJS/HDG lovey dovey scene... even a simple thing like just a side glance and a smile will do.. heh... HJ is cute too.. but somehow i'm more inclined towards a serious JS/DG relationship -
haha.... this thread is becoming more and more entertaining... your description of the kissing scenes leave a deeper impression in me than the actual scenes, felicia!! heheh.... maybe it's cos i wasnt such a fan of KDrama yet when i was watching BD and truth... BUT things have changed....

DG offcer MW a place only for one night coz her home is so far away....and she just came back from the flight assisted the stretcher patient case. Good thing is...now JS already knew DG's resident ha ha ha ha.
that's exactly what i was thinking of too... a gd way to let KJS find out where HDG stays (although i'm pretty sure that wasnt her intention at all)

when i watched the preview of episode 6... where they showed HDG and the doctor having a meal together... i thought they were gonna have a good girl to girl talk... but obviously that didnt happen...
this is one episode where i would have loved to understand korean so that i know what exactly is going on.... will just have to be patient and wait for the subs

I scream 20 timessss.......when HDG put her head on KHJ shoulder.....Today Jiwoo is so pretty in every scenes. By the way so glad that KJS...u turn his car.....ha ha ha
hahahaha... but i must say that scene was very well done... it felt like the right thing for him to do... just being happy.... but then eventually the reality of the situation struck him... and he hesitated... not sure whether to really take it in or not... would have been interesting if KJS was using the nightvision binoculars at that point of time and happened to see that scene... hahaha...

was a little let down by yesterday's episode (episode 5) but i must say, the end of episode 6 more than made up for it!!! viewing wasnt that smooth but it was better than nothing... and all the sparks flying around... WOW!!!!! hahaha.. the cliffhanger they left us with at the end of episode 6 was really a cliffhanger! argh!!!! 6 long days to wait... and it's in the middle of my exams!!! gosh... but i wont miss it for the world... afterall, we cant study continuosly the whole day right?

AIR CITY - Preview Summary for Episode 6
MBC Weekend Special Project Drama
Sunday, June 3, 2007, 9:40- 10:50 P.M.
The airport operations headquarter shuts down the second (No. 2) airport runway due to the numerous birds flying into it, which can cause "bird strike", (This can cause accidental airplane fire and fatal crash). As a result, the airport operations headquarter staff gets very busy and work on hectic schedule in order to come up with a solution to solve this serious "bird" problem before the approaching of holidays.
Ji-Sung (Lee Jung-Jae) and Myoung-Woo (Moon Jung-Hee) both attend the quality inspection meeting by gathering at the conference room. Coincidentally, Do-Gyung was on her way to attend the meeting by entering the conference room, she witnesses Ji-Sung and Myoung-Woo being together from behind and watches with somewhat bitter feelings and eventually decides not to attend the meeting.
Meanwhile, Do-Gyung (CJW) was driving by and discovers Myoung-Woo (MJH) waiting at the bus stop with her heavy luggage and just cannot pass her by and ignoring her. Do-Gyung then gives Myoung-Woo a ride and allows her to stay over night at her house.
That same night, Do-Gyung get an idea from North Korean artistic technology investigation team and uses that hint by collaborating with a designer in painting a enormous bird (hawk) on the airport runway. (Hypothetically, drawing of this enormous hawk image on the runway is to chase and scare the real birds from flocking into the runway to cause fatal crash & fires)
Ji-Sung tries to offer assistance to Do-Gyung when he finds her engrossed in the painting on the runway project, but Do-Gyung rejects his help and tells him to go see Myoung-Woo by giving him a memo with her home address written on it.........

Seems like HDG is pushing KJS towards the doc... hmmm... I must say, of all the challenges that HDG is to face as a person in charge of the airport operations, i NEVER expected one of them to be about birds!!! hehe... Shows how ignorant i am with regards to the complexities of an airport. The preview for episode 6 looks really interesting. If I'm not mistaken, HDG's ex is making an appearance and gets her into trouble? He looks vaguely familiar... pretty sure i saw him in one of the behind-the-scenes pics...

Okay, let me see if I can be of help regarding Do-Gyung (CJW) popping alot of pills at work....
For those of you who watched, Ep. 4, Dr. Suh (Ji-Sung's ex. GF) treated Do-Gyung's wrist from a cut she got from the villain "Charlie" scene....
DG wanted to get refill of her medications by Dr. Suh, and Dr. Suh was very surprised why DG was taking all those medicines. Among them were drug for her bad & frequent (?) headaches, possibly migrane type?, and the other I remember DG mentioned was for insomnia....sleeping pills!
I think DG character is somewhat sensitive and maybe her sad childhood and the guilt she felt over abandoning her younger sister, Yi-Gyung bothers her so much that she needs to take those pills, not to mention alot of stress at work as a general manager at the airport, we can all imagine even in reality.
About the VOD "JiWoo-Punching-JinWook"...........
I watched this new one and I got to understand better now. JiWoo was fooling or joking around, her running to LJJ /Ji-Sung was not part of the script, rehearsal scene!! B'cos the tagline on the VOD said "Rascal and playful JiWoo" !
She was suppopsed to be met by LJW /Ha-Joon who was so happy to see her and running to hug her, but after many rehearsal of punching LJW on the stomach, she ran to LJJ/Ji-Sung to hug him instead...
Now, we can guess maybe she felt sorry to keep punching LJW, who was already injured from the fighting scene previously, so she out of goodness of her heart, avoided doing it over again and ran to LJJ?????
Or she just felt like being playful and fool around by doing that out of spontaneity and thus the PD Yim Tae-Woo said "Drama Ending!~" and also causing the everyone to laugh at her cute & funny act!???
We will have to watch more to find out...hehe..
ah... for her insomnia... sounds like she has another thing in common with KJS now...
I thought she was just fooling around when i first saw the VOD of her running to hug LJJ... it was really cute... hahaha... everytime i watch such behind-the-scenes stuff, i always wonder if everyone gets to enjoy their work like how these ppl seem to be when they are working.
I think LJJ has gained a lot more fans since air city started showing... hahaha

Well, though iam affraid she is suffering a disease or something. ANd i hope the scriptwriter doesnt have idea "KJS was suffered because his old fiancee left him due terminal disease, and now probably HDG will have too but she will go through different decision (telling KJS ) about it"...
yeah... i was thinking of that scenario too... plus, remember, hajoon asked her about the pills? (i think he did) and she just ignored him and grabbed the bottle of pills back from him?... guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens...

Enjoyed reading thoughts of AC with Ella chingu and hanihash (your thorough analysis of the gestures especially on KJS based on the scenes was truly a delight to read).
I believe most writers are aware of the similar repeated characteristics-driven plots as seen in K-drama and often than not there are somehow overused. But then again, as writers they need to script a flexible role to allow more rooms to explore – think complexity - there’s separation, revenge, guilt, regret, rekindle etc etc to excite the viewers. If there are no secrets, it would be just plain boring with very limited exposure of the plot for us to grind, whine and so not.
Rationale-wise, I think anyone not in Dr. Suh’s shoes (a sick patient), would have considered making a wiser choice of revealing the truth, facing the consequences and coming to terms of the numbered days. However, sometimes when you are the person who is suffering from a deadly disease, you would have a different perspective of facing death – in her case (my guess) she must have reviewed over and over again on how to break the news to KJS and the devastating effect of the news. She foresees the destructive look, the heartache, the pain on the face of her loved ones. Numbed by all the negatives/pessimistic scenarios, again, she analyzed, pondered, considered, rationalized on all aspects particularly the emotional side before taking a plunge in making a harsh and painful decision – to conceal the truth is the best solution..
In her darkened mood, she has all these believable thoughts formed in her mind…- It’s best that I shall suffer alone boiled down all the sufferings myself – be a loner-patient – cried myself to sleep – no one to rely on – breathe my last breath alone (gosh…I sound like depicting Han Jeong-Seo in STH ).
With all these kept within my boundaries, I free one-kind soul, my dearest boyfriend – he will be intentionally dumped, probably with all sorts of nonsensical reasons to make him hate me (that’s my motive). A free man will have the opportunities to start a new life, meet someone else – fall in love again, someone better than me, much healthier and capable to bear kids….a brighter future so it seems. So with all these scenarios captured in the mind of a "dying person" (if the lost-doctor is expecting death sentence), I think you’d be betrayed by counseling, advices, books, medical knowledge or even your logical-sense. Sometimes “wise” is not a choice that you think it would make sense but exploring your other-conscience mind somehow enlighten you to a path that lead you in a most unthinkable way. A decision you would have consciously felt the best way out and the best or rather "heartless" decision is to relieve pain of another person you loved the most – a good deed that may earn you a place in heaven. OMG...I have gone overboard again with my silly-death-wish scene of Dr. Suh - it just zoomed out of my illogical brain ..... I must say i kind of agree with you. Having read all the theories of dying, bad news, stages of grief and what not during psychology classes... i think sometimes everything is over analysed, over simplified. Yes, you can come up with theories and hypothesis by studying a group of ppl... but at the end of the day, that theory is a generalized statement... sometimes, it may be OVER generalized. Not everyone reacts to grief and bad news in the same way. These theories can guide us in our approach to ppl facing tough times, but as everything else in life, some things are unpredictable and nobody can have the last word on how a person SHOULD and WILL react to something else... too many variables need to be taken into consideration...
hmmm... think i wrote a whole lot of rubbish there...
anyway, personally, i'd probably do the same if i were in her situation. Some ppl just dont want to burden others with more problems, especially when they think others will not be able to help them.... -

Like many others in this thread, i too hope the doctor's illness wont be something cliche... but i really dont see how else can they manipulate the illness besides using it against KJS and HDG. Maybe the scriptwriters will surprise us with something else... hmmm...

Somehow I couldn't watch from the imbc website tonight. Couldn't view a single frame. Yesterday's ep 3 was superb....smooth on this site.
Good thing, I have other alternatives to watch and managed to with some buffering.
Thoroughly enjoyed ep 4. The 1st part, the hostage-taking and also KJS 'wounded' and knocked-out....and HDG-KJS or HDG-HJ , this epsiode more screen-time on relationship deepening.......woow!
Hope those who didn't manage to watch it can download it.

Thought of taking a peek at what's happening at this site and wow all the postings since I visited yesterday. This site is really boiling over with AirCity fever! Love it!
I agree about not seeing LJJ in a romantic clinch in Il Mare. How could they, they were in two completely different time zones. But yet, the tenderness and the softness of his face when he read her (sorry can't recall the name of the actress or her character) letters. It was touching. That is the part about LJJ the actor that I like. I am seeing some of that already in AirCity.
If you take a good look at Episode 2, just watch how his face softens and his eyes sort of light up whenever his glance falls of HDG/Jiwoo in AirCity. Compare this to the look he displayed when he sees his ex-GF from the car. First there was a softness, recalling memories of days gone by. From the car he watches her with a touch of nostalgia, warmed by the aching memories perhaps and a little hope to reclaim some of the intensity of past love maybe. Then there seemed to be a sudden cloud that caused his face to stiffen up, then the softness is all gone when she comes out of the house to get her handbag off the car roof. He just dashed off in the car. face all hard and jaws clenched.
My goodness I could sense all this from that one scene. This is what makes me respect his acting. So subtle, so real and ever so manly. I would have died had he started crying or something. You gotta to remember this man is looking at someone he once loved, his first love, but who jilted him and married another man (If I am not mistaken, I read this somewhere). Can you truly recapture those same emotions, especially after a betrayal of such porportion.
Anyway, I am going to wait and see what wonders LJJ will present to us as his acting, as I see it now, is superb! If he is unmoved by HDG, I'd say he was made of stone, steel and granite. Fearless and courageous he may be but a man nonetheless. What HDG represents to me is a different kind of woman, his alter ego, herself fearless and courageous. Someone worthy of his respect, yet so soft and sweetly feminine that he can't help himself. His lonely heart is turning to her, drawn by her stoic yet lonely persona. A woman who doesn't crumple into a whimpering tearful mess at the slightest whiff of danger. HDG is the new millenium woman. I wanna see how LJJ's charater handles her.....gonna have some real fireworks I'm sure. looking forward to it!

I never saw Il Mare, but i loved how you described the mood in Air City... i dont recall much of the scene with his ex-gf, but i absolutely love the last scene where he sees HDG removing her shoes... a very subtle expression, but just enough for us to see it... TOMORROW'S SATURDAY!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!

You think you got it bad.... I'm not even watching it and all I do is look at the stills with him in it. I try to read the forum .... I can't, I try to even understand what the drama is about.... I can't.... why.... because each time I try to do something constructive I just stare at his manliness...... What a hopeless fan girl.... hahahaha!
i think CJW and LJJ make a very good couple... of all the ppl CJW has been partnered with in a drama, i think this is the best... heh... maybe i'm biased... but yeah... he looks good in this show... though maybe you and wonderland got it real bad... hahaha

thanks a million to rosepetal and javabeans for their summary/translation of the first 2 episodes.... Havent watched the 2nd episode, but i think it'll be as good, if not more, thrilling than the first! I personally dont think ratings are all that important. What's important is we gain satisfaction from watching the show, and the actors and actresses are appreciated for their hardwork. The fact that lots of ppl are talking about the show already proves its power of attraction, be it starpower or a good storyline...

Yeah, I suffer the same too. I missed maybe 10 mins in the beginning of ep 2 and was switching from one website/server to another hoping that it won't be congested and finally got to one and after that pretty smooth sailing.
That 'ajumah' who was scolding JW, my guess is it's related to work, one of her staff ?? or else why would she ask LJW to go along ?
After so much action in yesterday's episode, at least today it's toned down a little when the story is unfolding both LJJ's and CJW's life, their longings...etc
Just curious, why does the Chinese subs always come out so fast as compared to the English ? Are there more Koreans who knows Chinese or those who knows Chinese know the Korean language well ?
It's fun though, watching without subs and doo some guessing here and there..... I have a feeling, I'll get all geared up again towards next weekend and watch it live again.
How I wish I know how to read Chinese. I'll wait patiently for the English subs nevertheless, 'Thanks !' to the team of With2S who's taken on this project.
hmm... i'm thinking that lady is someone from her past. And she got LJW to drive her there cos she knew him as a child. Maybe something happened to her family relating to airports or planes and that lady is really angry that she is working in such an environment? hehehe... speculating, speculating.... hope someone can kindly translate that scene for us!!
I really think LJJ and CJW look good together.... sigh...

I only managed to catch bits and pieces here and there.... what was the lady shouting the jiwoo about when she went back to the village to visit? I assume she got angry after seeing her card or something like that?

Thank you 7875 for the pics!!! wow... is it casual outfit at the office day or something? all the 3 leads are in causal outfits! not that i'm complaining... HDG looks good even in that simple white top! heh.... CJW can carry off any outfit... she's like a chameleon... lucky her...
