Chi sub of tV asahi interview
I've tried to do an English translation of the more important parts of this interview (sorry if any part is not entirely accurate given my limited Chinese):-
JW: Hello, I'm Choi Jiwoo, very happy to see everyone.
SH: Hi everyone, I've Yoon Sang Hyun
Narrator then started talking about the background of each of them and the previous dramas they acted in...
(During the filming scene (where they both sat in the meeting room of their office)) Narrator: Although they were acting as a couple who are fighting and undergoing divorce, their relationship with each other during the filming was very good.
Now comes the Q&A:-
(had to skip the first question, ie. what is it about this drama that will attract the attention of the audience - coz I don't quite understand the Chinese subtitles fo the response)
Qn: Were there any difficulties in acting in your roles as lawyers in the drama?
SH: Yes, the legal / technical language was difficult
JW: For the court scenes, as we have our scripts beforehand, we had to prepare very thoroughly before we started filming. There was also some English technical language involved but now that's not so much of a problem anymore..
Qn: Are there any similarities between yourself and your character in the drama? [Just to side-track but I can't help but notice that SH was touching his wedding ring at this point in time - around 3.04)]
JW: I think we're both similar as far as being cheerful and easy going. But I'm not like EJ who doesn't like cleanliness. In the drama, EJ is very sloppy at home but when she's working, she is able to fully express her opinions and ideas. This is similar to my attitude when I'm working.
SH: I'm not the type who's subject to wife discipline / a henpecked husband, and I'm also not timid. But we're similar as I also dislike untidyness. But I'm not like HW, who is very caring towards others, very gentle and very upright with a great sense of justice.
JW : You're not? (laughed)
SH: I'm not.
JW: Even when you know that someone is doing something bad?
SH: Yes I'll pretend I didn't see it (both JW and SH laughed)
[initially, I really don't know why SH seems to be saying things about himself in front of everyone which do not seem to be in his favour, but then I realise that he's just being very honest - rather than trying to put forth a perfect image which we know probably does not exist in the world - I must say I was a bit worried at first when he said that but I'm now more impressed with his honesty and I choose to believe that his honesty will impress JW even more!!]
Qn: How do the both of you, who are not married yet, view the idea of a couple getting married after knowing each other for only a month?
JW: No matter what, getting married after only 1 month, it's like having the other person walking out of a dream.
SH: In the drama, we only dated for a month before getting married, so we didn't really understand each other's character and personality fully. When this couple's eyes met, their eyes just lit up in flames, like a dream and then they just got married - but after that, the problems started to emerge one by one. What I learnt while filming this drama is that a couple should date properly and fall in love first before getting married (instead of being rashful at the spur of a moment). [Heard JW's loud giggle at this point!]
Qn: YSH, who brought about lots of laughter during the interview, had earlier said that he was initially worried about working with CJW.
SH: Initially, I was very worried whether we have the chemistry [JW was so shy that she covered her face]. But after we started filming. I discovered that she is someone who takes very good care of other people; our pairing was very good. Although this is what i think, she may be thinking that she's actually the one who's trying to accomodate / match with me [JW was clearly giggling gleefully at this point] but I really think we paired off / matched very well.
Interviewer: What do you think, JW?
JW: Do we really pair off / match very well? [think she asked this cheekily]
SH: Huh? (then smiled) [Wow, I love how he smiled while JW was laughing so happily] I really think we paired off / matched very well!
Narrator: Although YSH said that he doesn't understand how a woman thinks, it seems like he has a lot to talk about with CJW (this is the scene where both of them were talking to each other - at around 3.40) [Aww.. even the narrator notices that!! 0t: ]
Narrator: YSH, who has already debuted in Japan as a singer, also participated in the recording of this drama's OST.
Qn: You participated in the recording of this drama's OST?
SH: Yes. (and then Jiwoo who was looking at him started laughing - awww, I just luv the way JW laughs at almost everything that he says or does!! Doesn't one do that when one is in love??
]Qn: What was the response to your song?
SH: Why don't we ask JW what she thinks?
Qn: JW, what do you think after hearing his song?
JW : It's very nice but his voice in the song sounds different from his actual voice.
Qn: Was his voice altered digitally? [Haha this is so funny!!]
SH: This is what JW thinks
JW: Haha that's why he keeps practising in the resting room [ok, i'm not sure how this gels with the earlier part but maybe something's lost in translation...]
Qn: Can we hear a few verses of the song?
SH then started singing the first verse of his song in the drama and then stopped.
JW : (laughed) that's all?
SH: Of course not, the song's 3 min 50 secs (JW was laughing so loudly again at this point
). Anyway, even if I sang the whole song, it will be edited and cut short [hahaha, he's sooooo funny!!! no wonder JW was laughing so happily]Qn: Which places in Korea would you recommend the viewers to visit?
JW: I will recommend Han River for its night view. When you look at the bridge from afar, the sky seems to be lit up too. The bridge over the Han River is also very unique and beautiful.
SH: When there was some free time during our filming, I walked around [not sure how to translate the name of that place though] and up the mountain where there's a viewing station - from there you can see the beautiful scenery. Couples can drive there, have tea, chat and enjoy the scenery together. [Wow, that sounds romantic enough for me! ]
Qn: Do you have a girlfriend now?
SH: Huh? My wife's just sitting right here next to me - what are you talking about!? [aww....Sang Hyun oppa, everyone of us already know by now that she's your wife but we are definitely not complaining about how you keep mentioning it over and over again!!
]JW: Yeah, that will lead to trouble!
[haha...i love how co-ordinated both of them are...to think that JW even played along in her response!]
My thoughts after watching the interview:-
Is it usual for JW to giggle / laugh so much during interviews? I only started liking her recently (after watching 2D1N) so not sure how she is like generally...but from what i saw, she was giggling / laughing happily at almost everything SH said / did!
(although it's not surprising coz i would too myself since he's so charming!!)JW and SH oppa, perhaps you should start off first by going to Han River this weekend, followed by a trip next weekend up to that mountain which SH oppa recommended, have tea, chat and enjoy the scenery together
I've heard that Autumn is the time when most Koreans feel most lonely and want to fall in love - so now is the right time!!

Hi be happy
I wish I understand Korean but unfortunately I don't, but I did hear him say "wife" in English (Koreans pronounce it as "WI-FE" in two syllabus and "thank you" in Korean (when he put his arms around her)
We'll just have to wait for the translations...If anyone can post a version with Chinese subtitles - I can help to translate.

The drama is over but it hadn't hit me until I watched this video. Seeing the sadness in their eyes, in particular Kim Jung Tae, Choi Ji Woo, and Yoon Sang Hyun, makes my heart ache. For the first time I am speechless. Ok I am back!! hahaha
A few things I note from this video
- Ji Woo and San Hyun must have not been that close, or mantain a professional relationship, with the PD. They gave him a handshake while Ji Woo gave the camera man a hug. I am personally not a big fan of this PD.
- I appreciate that after giving a handshake to the PD, Sang Hyun didn't go off to the next available person, rather he waited until Ji Woo was free so he could say his goodbye to her. so touching.
- Ji Woo and Sang Hyun's sadness is pretty apparent to me despite their effort to hide it sigh. Even Kim Jung Tae looked choked up.
I hope while Sang Hyun is getting his rejuvenation up in the mountain, he is also realizing how much he misses Ji Woo and how she means to him. Same goes with ji Woo that she will realize she misses her hubby. A temporary break between them is actually healthy, to sort through their own feelings and distinguish what's reel vs. real.
We, the fans, will be waiting to hear the good news.

Gosh, I'm currently suffering from withdrawal symptoms - can't accept that the drama has ended and still missing the drama and our beloved couple. I'll just comfort myself by re-watching the drama all over again...
I'm now waiting for the day to come when news of YSH and CJW dating each other are splashed all over the Korean newspapers!! I just can't think of any reason for them not to be together! Hope they will not make us wait too long!!
Regarding the farewell video on MBC website, I was tearing up as I watched it
But on the brighter side, I can see how comfortable both of them are with each other and do you notice that when he thanked her, he called her his "wife" AGAIN?

Awww.... I really lurve today's episode - think this is the BEST episode of all as a grand finale ...it has so many sweet scenes that I'm feeling a bit dizzy right now
I think the scriptwriter actually teased us by not letting us hear what EJ whispered to HW as the playground when (i think) he asked her what was her christmas present for him. Yeah Fel, i think your guess is right - it does seem very likely that she told him that she's pregnant!
For those who have yet to watch tonight's episode, I'm sure you'll thoroughly enjoy watching it. The ending is happy and sweet and I must say it really warms my heart to see how far EJ and HW have come since we saw them in July this year.
Now, I feel sad that the drama has ended and there's nothing to look forward to next Wed.
The fact that this drama has ended hasn't quite sunk in yet...
I will remember this drama for a very very long time - This drama is definitely one which I will highly recommend to others.
Will definitely miss the drama, our beloved couple EJ and HW (and baby), Choi Ji Woo and Yoon Sang Hyun (both of whom I really love!).
Hope that the actors (esp CJW and YSH
) will continue to keep in touch with each other even after the drama. and wishing CJW and YSH all the best in their future endeavours!!
Once again, thanks to all of you for your posts (esp. Fel for your super fast recaps) which I enjoy reading so much!
Hopefully, MBC will show some BTS footage next week (since I heard that the next drama is only starting the following week?). Or maybe, CJW and YSH will promote the drama in Japan etc together?

So happy that I managed to watch tonight's episode without much interruption (amazingly!!!).
But I must say that I didn't quite enjoy tonight's episode as much as I did with all other previous episodes.
Firstly, I didn't understand why time was wasted showing the spoilt chances of EJ / HW going on a dates / being together - unless it has any significance that I'm not aware of?? Secondly, there was so much hype about the romantic piano scene and dinner scene which I was eagerly looking forward to but alas, the scenes were just part of EJ's imagination and were over in less than one or two minutes! Thirdly, I was hoping for more romantic scenes between the couple since we're already in the second last episode, to compensate all the angst we went thru in the earlier episodes but there were none except the last scene (with the quick pecks) which to me is just about the best scene in today's episode - instead they put us through more angst due to their missed chances!
Though i like the ending (ie. EJ and HW being together), i felt that there was nothing substantive in tonight's episode and am kind of disappointed, esp after all the hype about those scenes that we read from the news.... what happended??? could this be the result of the extension??
Perhaps it could be due to me not understanding what they were saying in the drama...so I should just wait for dramabean's recap...
I hope tomorrow's finale will be a really sweet one....eagerly looking forward to that!!!

Cotton Candy, thanks for sharing your two cents. Can you elaborate how JW seem to fit in YSH's criteria for his woman?

AllforCJW, here's a rough translation of what YSH said when asked who is his ideal woman (trying my best to translate based on my limited Chinese) : YSH said that instead of naming who and who as his ideal type, the type he likes is someone who shares the same thoughts as him and shares the same values as him. If she possesses these two qualities, it wouldn't be a problem for them to be / live together. He prefers someone whom he can get along with like a friend. As he has dreams to live that way, so his ideal woman should be someone who's like a friend to him. She shouldn't be much younger than him; he much prefers someone who's around his age so that they can then be like friends.
I will leave Fel to do a proper and more accurate translation (just in case I'm reading too much into what he said due to my overwhelming love for this couple!!!!!

Hello!! It's my first time posting in this thread...I'm always be a silent lurker here and have really enjoyed reading all your interesting posts
After seeing a number of posts here raving about JW / SH, I just have to chip in by saying that I'm totally smitten with this couple and have been enjoying every single episode of this drama since it started!
Just simply love the chemistry between the two of them!! Have been trying to read between the "lines" but I must confess it's rather hard to differentiate between what's real and publicity stunts....
Anyway, I just can't help but notice from the YSH MBC interview that Jeezvive posted on 14 Oct that Ji Woo seems to fit the criteria of his ideal woman!!!!
(think he also mentioned that he prefers someone who's around his age so that they can be like friends! oohh..if i'm not wrong there's only a 2-year age gap between them?)Of course, another major reason why I'm enjoying this drama is how they deal with issues which are so realistic...unlike many other dramas where the themes / storylines are sometimes unrealistic. I can see why this drama may not go down too well with many audiences since some of the issues they deal with are not issues which people enjoy relating to, eg. divorce and family quarrels (hence the low ratings) but I personally find it a very meaningful drama - there are many scenes in this drama which are so touching and will make one reflect upon himself/herself and his/her own actions. And it's so much more convincing given the superb acting skills of our 2 gorgeous leads!!
While I'm now anxiously waiting for the last 2 episodes to air this week, yet I feel sad at the same time that the drama's coming to an end
hopefully, the PD will release more BTS footage, esp. on our lovely couple (which I'm sure they have loads of!!) - that would surely make my day! -

It sure brought back sweet memories of the drama and our beloved couple.
I almost wanted to cry while watching your MVs, coz I miss both of them so much!!
BTW, if I'm not wrong, I think that at Busan signing event, JW wore the same bracelet (the one with a star) as the one EJ wore in the drama....aww.....perhaps she is still very attached to EJ and you-know-who...
Hope we can hear more news about them soon (including scandalous ones)!
