    Some Thoughts...okay Ramblings...Thanks @Meow13, @Cheerkoo and @Vanessa123 for bringing over the descriptions of GHS's two works: The Peach Tree and Fragments of Sweet Memories currently featured at the Jecheon Music and Film Festival. 

    Initially, I was under the impression that her films were to be shown to a mass market audience, I now realize that they are art films...mainly to be shown in festivals with a niche market. Okay, I feel compelled to explain to you how remarkable GHS's achievements in directing are. Art films are a canon of films whose quality sets them apart from "blockbuster" movies. These films emphasize social realism with marked authorial expressivity by the director, they're mainly character driven rather than plot or goal driven. (as interpreted from Wikipedia). These are the kind of films (Think: Indie Films or Experimental Films) directed by GHS. So...wow! For her age, it's truly remarkable. Hands down, she's different. 

    Most art films are filled with symbols and deeper meanings. Let's take The Peach Tree: The film's description goes like this - A young couple who have wanted a baby for a long time, happily find twin pregnancy. However, they are driven to despair by the fact that their twins were Siamese, which means that their bodies are conjoined. Treated as monsters by their mother Sang hyeon and Dong hyeon meet a beautiful girl one day. You would think that this would be a story on transcendence because peach trees symbolize longevity...long life and yet ironically we are faced with siamese twins. Siamese twins who have a limited life span and are often driven to hiding because they are viewed socially as "monsters." Their meeting a beautiful girl would probably change the course of their lives? These questions I'm sure will be answered by the film, actually, answered by GHS's interpretation by the concept. Difficult much? Do you see what I mean then? The girl's got courage, that's for sure.

    @Zax...I hope you get to watch the film and come back here and tell us how it was. Sunnies! She's still at #12! We're really trailing behind Ji Hoo. I'm about to run back to the Face Shop and buy a new set of cleansers, yeah, yeah, yeah...all I'm getting is clean skin and still a red signal from Ji Hoo...huhuhu. Hayz! I'm not fazed!     @drmjs..... Thanks for your ramblings.... It actually helps me understand her movies better. Now that I think of it, her movies truly are under the art films instead of "blockbuster" films. I thought peach tree was meant to be shown to the mass market as well. Can you make profit for making art films?

    Thanks regie22 for the Magic movie---somehow I cannot play it----I saw it long time ago, but would love to watch it again.

    I heard from a Korean fan that GHS's book explains the movie much better---since GHS made her movie so very abstract, many found it so difficult to really understand---I will read her Magic book one of these days....

    Thanks so much...I hope we hear some news about Peach Tree soon.

    In the mean time,,,I am took up I do I do drama----not bad at all...great acting and great story...

    Hi Sunniez.....

    @helkel n @orionthewolf, I'm not sure which one of you, but you have mentiond something about lee wu wu starred in fated to love you n I just want to say that I've seen that drama n I like him there too, though the reason y I watched that drama was because of Joe Chen Qiao En. I would love to see GHS n joe Chen (my 2 fav actress) to work together. That would be awesome!!!!

    @helkel The Absolute Boyfriend Facebook page and JiSun Couple Facebook pages are good for those types of posters. Plus, the one that you pointed out that you liked was from the YGFamily tumblr account. Also, I'm a huge fan of the evil that is Google picture search. There are some great posters that you can find there that you might not be able to find on the actual official sites. Weird, but true.

    I've been trying to track down a copy of GHS's drama Pure 19. Any suggestions? I really liked what little I saw, plus I LOVE the male lead and the only option I can find is MVIBO's heinously expensive version (since they don't offer a streaming version on their official site). :( I wish DramaFever could get this series as they are starting to get more daily dramas.

    @eunhye05 Thanks for sharing your story too! Everyone has been very sharing so far!! I also never thought I would fangirl a foreign (Korean) celeb or two to be exact... :X How did we all get here? Haha. Are you perhaps picking up Korean right now? Just so to understand Hye Sun better? :) I actually had the opportunity to do Korean lang lessons in Uni back when I first discovered Soompi. I didn't get past the first few modules thou. Haha. Stopped after a few mths. I think the regular sch load is enough already, additional lang. curriculum on top of regular load? Nah hahaaa. Too lazy and not that interested in Kstuff to be honest.

    I am still not interested now actually, I think I will only continue to watch stuff which features my fave Kceleb/s. Fussy fussy me. But I am learning Korean again -.- Cos I want to understand what's being said better! At the end of the day, accquiring another foreign lang is also beneficial to our brains! :) If you are studying Korean right now, let's work hard. If you aren't, I hope you pick it up, soon!

    kekeke. I am excited indeedy! I am totally not tired at all right now ... am trying to watch as much of <Pure 19> as I can LOL. But I am trying to maintain my eyesight/degrees these days so unfortunately I need to ... stop.staring.at.the.pc.monitor.tv.screen.books.whatever.right.NOW >_>

The first time I heard of GHS was thru bof then I went to search for her other dramas, which was pure 19..... I can't help but love this girl for who she is. Enjoy pure 19, you'll love it!

    A warm welcome to this thread, neehr, snapple233 and ifulrauf. I was a lurker for a few years before I decided to join this warm and welcoming thread this year. Please visit often. We love to hear from you.
    In response to your comment, ifulrauf, in the few years I have been following her, there had been some fans who wanted her to change her appearance or wear more dresses or grow her hair,etc.I know you are thinking of that for her benefit. As her fan, you want the best for her, right? In the end, GHS is GHS. That is why we love her so much because she is true to herself and generous enough and willing to share a little bit of that genuine self with us. I, myself, have stopped wishing that she will dress better,etc. I love her in whatever shape and form she comes in because her beauty comes from inside.

    i agree with you! GHS is GHS. she will not stop being herself just because you dislike her appearence. that's what makes her unique/special/stood out in the crowd. it's funny though, because when you try to meet the fans' expectations, someone will say he/she is FAKE, but if he/she is living true to herself, someone will have something to say about it as well.

    until you can pay her bills or sponsor her movies, no one really have a say on how one should dress/live/act
