Queen of Ambition photoshops Kwon Sang Woo's head

Screen Shot 2013-02-27 at 2.13.01 PM

Here’s a funny story about a picture that was used on recent episode of Queen of Ambition.

According to the production crew, the picture of Kwon Sang Woo holding a large fish that was used in the episode of Queen of Ambition was actually Photoshopped with another celebrity’s body.

The picture appeared in the scene where Haryu, disguised as lawyer Cha Jae Woong, sent his father the picture, reassuring his father about his younger brother’s whereabouts. Haryu asks Soo Jung to Photoshop his picture to show his father. Producer Park Soo Jin told the reporters that the person in the original picture is the prominent Korean broadcaster, Boom.

They also revealed that the reason why they used a Photoshopped picture was because Kwon Sang Woo’s rigorous schedule didn’t allow him enough time to go out fishing. The original picture of Boom was uploaded on twitter not long ago with the caption “The best catch I’ve had in my life.” Producer Park Soo Jin thanked Boom for providing them the picture which was a crucial part in the drama.

What do you guys think? Does this picture look natural?

by: jbarky on May 9, 2012

Kwon Sang Woo fans rejoice! His Chinese film with Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung will be released on May 11! The film will open up in 4,000 theaters. It is the largest opening for a film with a Korean actor as the main character.

The film is about Kwon Sang Woo and his girlfriend who is very rich. His rich girlfriend suddenly becomes lost, and Kwon Sang Woo’s character asks a poor girl that looks exactly like her to fill in the role of his girlfriend for a week.

China to see a lot of Kwon Sang-woo

Actor Kwon Sang-woo’s first Chinese movie will make its premiere today. “Shadow of Love” also stars Hong Kong actress Cecelia Cheung and was directed by Poon Yuen-Leung. It will open at some 4,000 cinemas across China, marking the first time that a Korean actor has been involved in a movie of such scale in China.

Ahead of the launch date, Kwon attended press conferences on Monday and Tuesday in Beijing. More than 100 media outlets were present to catch a glimpse of the actor.

The romantic comedy starts with a wealthy heiress going missing and follows the adventure that ensues as her boyfriend finds a woman who looks exactly the same as his vanished lover.

Cheung plays both characters in the film and thus spends a lot of time with Kwon, her love interest.

Last year was quite a busy one for the Hallyu star, who continues to emerge in the Chinese market.

He collaborated with Jackie Chan on the movie “Chinese Zodiac” (2012) and took part in filming for Chinese drama “Poong Hwa Sul Wul” back in March.

  5. Hi Will, thanks much for regards.. I m still staying safe n healthy! Thanks God for that..

We  are longing for our oppa coming projects! Yoohoo, imagin he speaks English in the new Hollywood movie !! Yeah!!

Ah, THE PAIN is airing here in Vietnam now, I must go to box when i come back to my motherland in the next week !!! Yay!!!!!!!

Oooooooooo! phew.gif ........ what is this Hollywood movie all about? sweatingbullets.gif ....... n he had to fix his knee? Must be STY's fault! -_- ...... Lukie must be quite biggie by now! B)

  6. Hi moi, so nice to see your post again here - we missed you, dear! "Pain" is his movie, which was recently done filming & is expected to be released later this year. He's currently filming another movie with JC, “12 Chinese Zodiac Heads”.”in Paris - Our man will play one of the main roles in the film alongside Jackie Chan - they won't elaborate more on this yet.The film “12 Chinese Zodiac Heads” is an action adventure movie to be produced with 100 billion won funding, and it will be the third movie of the "Armor of God" series, which was very popular worldwide. This Chinese movie will be released worldwide thanks to the fame of Jackie Chan. Kwon Sang Woo will film the movie in Paris for five weeks, and then he will continue filming in places such as Thailand, Dubai, Taiwan, Shanghai, and Beijing until the end of this year. He has completed filming a movie right now with Cecilia Cheung (ye, that pregnant woman - hehehe), “Repeat, I Love You.” -This movie will be released around the end of this year as well or the beginning of next year. Due to the tight filming schedule of those two movies, Kwon Sang Woo has moved to Paris directly from China. So, a total of 3-movies for KSW at the moment. "Pain" unfolds around a loan shark who can’t feel pain and a woman who is hyper-sensitive to the pain of others.

Thanks 4d info dear! :D ...... must be really tiring for Sangwoo to film in so many places in one movie! Think of d jetlag!

where have you been, dear Moi? guess you are busy with your Myonggie, right?

while Sangwoo is spending a whole year 2011 with 1 drama + 3 movies!!

 actually moi's been with Park Shi Hoo ..... wanted to amend moi's siggie but encountered some soompi bug  ....... Sangwoo's boy must be getting biggie now :phew: ..... hope he takes more after daddy than mama -_- ..... btw din read anything about Sangwoo's wifie in recent times! <_<

Here's for old times sake! moi's all time fave Sangwoo pic! :w00t:

    ep1.jpg

wonder what's up with CJW nowadays :phew:

  7. Hi mi2u2, thanks for posting these pictures from the movie, "Pain" - I find the plot interesting, too. Can't wait for this movie. Korean movies are so popular these days that in my opinion he doesn't even need to go to China to make movies. But it’s really fine if he wants to change environment for his own good.

Oooooooooooo! phew.gif ,,,,,,,, moi just decided to pop in & find so many things about Sangwoo on d last page! B) ...... what is Pain all about? sweatingbullets.gif ........& Sangwoo gonna film with Jackie next  ........ maybe can play Jackie's son or, grandson even !!! rofl26nr.gif .... but seriously, any new news on d plot? :P ........ were u peeps referring to Cecilia when u talked about that pregnant hussy? phew.gif

  8. Hi moi, we missed you here with TY - so nice to see & read your post again. Ye, he'll be doing a movie soon with JRW as her female partner. Just wait & see.....they might have good chemistry together. "Pain" unfolds around a loan shark who can’t feel pain and a woman who is hyper-sensitive to the pain of others due to hemophilia. Despite her condition, her character possesses a spirited personality, and the romance melodrama unfolds around the couple’s bickering dynamic as they fall in love. The plot is interesting. The project is based on a manhwa of the same name. "Pain" will begin filming anytime this month after it completes the rest of its casting.

Thank u dear! :D ..... hemophilia eh? phew.gif ..... then d female character wud have to die a slow n agonising death in d end -_- ..... sure to boost d box office takings! w00t.gif ...... n maybe to console Sangwoo's character, to have a sweet n demure n innocent newbie come in at d end! :P

  9. I heard there is a talked regarding the female lead in the movie "Pain" with KSW is Jeong Ryeo Won.  I'm not sure if this info is correct.

    *quoted image*

    Sangwoo is doing a movie ..... called Pain? phew.gif ...... n she's d lead? Hmmph! Such incompatibility! -_- ..... STY might find her a pain in d neck! rofl26nr.gif

What's Pain all about dears? B)

  10. “The President” keeps hold on prime time chart for 8th week

    2010120310262377327_1.jpg

Viewership ratings for all three Wednesdays and Thursdays prime time series declined this week but SBS drama “The President” continued to keep its lead for the eighth week straight.

“The President” scored an average viewership rating of 24.3 percent, according to data by Total National Multimedia Research (TNmS) and 25.2 percent from statistics by AGB Nielson Media Research on December 3, both seeing about a one percent drop in ratings from last week.

“The President” starring Ko Hyun-jung, Kwon Sang-woo and Cha In-pyo, about one woman’s quest to become the first female president of the country, finally signaled the start to the race for presidency.

The ratings for KBS’ detective story “Fugitive: Plan B” which came in next, declined even further from last week, collecting average marks of 11.8 percent on surveys by both TNmS and AGB.

The same drama had fetched scores of 14.3 percent and 13.9 percent from TNmS and AGB's polls, respectively, last Wednesday. Its Thursday portion was cancelled due to a basketball match for Guangzhou Asian Games.

“Fugitive: Plan B” starring Rain and Lee Na-young is story about a detective and his female client getting chased by cops and gangs as they get entangled in a case searching for gold that disappeared almost a century ago.

MBC’s “Home Sweet Home,” a family drama shrouded with murder mystery, posted average ratings of 6.7 percent on TNmS' chart and 7.4 percent on AGB's data, both also falling short of the single-day record from last week.

The drama, last Wednesday, scored 6.9 percent on TNmS’ survey and 8.6 percent on AGB’s poll while its Thursday show was pushed back to this week due to the aforementioned Guangzhou Asiad basketball match.

  12. Korean Waves Reach India's NE Homes

    By Ngathingkhui Jagoi

    9947-20100902132934.jpg

Ms Viola Rainam hurriedly fed her children that evening. “There will be electric power from 6:00pm – 9:00pm today. I have to watch the Korean movie ‘Stairway to Heaven’,” she says. Like Ms Rainam, people glued to their television screens every evening watching the Korean DVD movies if there is power supply. Despite irregular power supply which comes hardly 2-3 hours a day or alternate days, their spirits are never dampened and people always make it a point to watch and finish the Korean serial movies which continue for days together.

There is a foreign invasion taking place in India’s Northeast region. But the invasion is not from neighbouring countries like China or Bangladesh. This time round, it is a cultural invasion. Oflate, the Northeastern states have been experiencing a shift in cultural assimilation from western Americanise ethos to Korean and Japanese culture.

The Rainam’s family lives in Ukhrul, a picturesque hill district of Manipur state in India bordering Myanmar. Not to talk of Ukhrul alone, there is a craze for Korean movies in Indian states bordering China, Bangladesh, Mynamar or Bhutan.

Korean movies – Full House, Boys over Flowers, My Girl, Green Rose, Stairway to Heaven and you name it, a 10-year old boy or girl would recall what movies he/she had watched. Talk about the favourite actors or actresses, they youths who sports the hairstyles of these Korean heroes and heroines would name Rain, Lee-Min-Ho, Kim-Bum for actors and Song-Kyiko, Lee-Da-Shea, Jang-Nara, Kuhye-Seon, etc and say ‘Sarange’ which means ‘I love you’

Korean culture is spreading like wild-fire across the North East India. Everything that’s Korean is selling hot. Korean culture ranging from soaps, music, food, movies. Markets flooded with Korean DVDs, sometimes pirated sold at 100-200 Indian Rupees. Every home has not less than 20 DVDs. The rooms of young people are adorned with posters of Korean actors. Koreans ethos has taken over hearts and homes of many families. The demand for Korean soaps, cinema, fashion and language is at a new peak.

    (skipped unrelated.....)

The Korean wave has moved beyond a fad and is here to stay. But the cultural boom has helped the Koreans in two ways – promotes cultural ties and business deal follows.
