ahaha aren't we so bad. but then again, if we don't spend gift cards, now or later, it's not like we can save them up or anything. :X i'll try to spend it wisely but it's obvious that it's gonna be used to buy some nice clothing or shoes since that's what the store primarily sells... xDShopping ban means not using money (Your own, your mom's/dad's/sibling's, your friends, etc etc) to buy things.. period. I don't understand why you guys continue to try to finding loopholes, if that's the way it is, just quit.... Just like me. I'm quitting, I'm going to buy myself a wallet (maybe)! lol
maybe we should rename this to shopping cut-back LOL

$295?!?! THAT'S INSANE!!! i wished mine was that much. i wouldn't need to spend money for a long while hahahaha^ I'm UNDER THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCE. I came across two unused gift certificates from last Christmas while storing away winter jackets yesterday. And they total out to $265 at Nordstroms
Can I use them? Ahem - other than that, my ban hasn't been going too poorly. So far We'll see how it goes. XD;;

i ended up not going at all, partly on purpose (because i knew i was going to spend), partly because i was too lazy.... xD in fact these days i'm too lazy to walk around (doubt that'll last too long though) so i don't really look at stores...^ same here!! i thought of going to that warehouse sale i mentioned earlier, ended up leaving home too late so i didn't have time to go before meeting up with my boyfriend i might go sunday though... but i did walk around downtown today and i blocked everything out of my mind and didn't buy anything!!!!! i'm going to make an exception to the ban this thursday and buy a dress i need for my friend's birthday party... i have nothing to wear. i was going to buy it after the ban anyway
good thing i bought a gift for her early!! hahahai really should send out those tax papers...

yes it does It's getting harder every sale. i haven't looked at any stores yet so i have (fortunately?) been able to avoid any seasonal sales so far...however i just found out about this warehouse sale and i'm going to take a look tomorrow because it ends on sunday... >___< I MIGHT BREAK THE BAN A LITTLE BIT. i'll come back on it right after.

edit: i found a clubbox with some episodes in wmv. not the best quality, but probably the closest thing to what i was looking for! i'm so happy! but if anyone has any leads to where i could find better quality videos (not likely)...

^ NO! i have the same carrier as my ex-boyfriend and we had this plan where it was unlimited between numbers of that carrier... but i've since broken up with him and started a new relationship and my current boyfriend is not on the same carrier. T____T!! i didn't realize we talked that much. HENCE SHOPPING BAN = SAVING UP MONEY TO PAY BILLS.
what's bad is that even though i'm putting myself on a ban and have been sticking to it for two weeks, i already have things that i wanna buy once i lift it up. T___T!! WHAT'S THE POINT!!!!

good thing my limit is only $500 and that i've already reached it because otherwise... i don't even wanna think about it!!

ooh so there's finally a thread on this.
i was debating whether i should start it or not hahaha!currently i'm on a shopping ban as well. i am about two weeks in. didn't buy anything yet. i usually shop at least once a week and spend close to a hundred dollars every time, which is way too much to handle sometimes with my income. xDD
i'm also poor partly due to the fact that i've just ordered from zipia two weeks ago. that was $200 less in my bank account. on top of that, my new boyfriend and i have been spending A LOT of time on the phone, and with my suck-richard simmons plan (that i can't change yet because my account is under my ex's name and i have yet to speak to him), i've been exceeding the minutes AND the sms limit so now i have a huuuuuuge cellphone bill to pay. add to that my credit card bill. o____o
and and my work cut me two days the last two weeks so that's... less money in my paychecks.
i'm trying to last at least a month and a half!! the ideal would be until i pay off all my bills.
i currently have a grand total of $35 in my bank account and $0 in my wallet.
thank god for the tax returns coming in.

same here. i used to wear a cross back when i was into gothic stuff and a christian friend of mine told me i shouldn't. i felt kind of bad after.i'm so afraid that someone i know will get offended, so i steer cleari guess it's ok to wear them around people who don't know you though? i mean it's not like strangers will go up to you and ask about it.
so i stay away from anything that has a cross on it.

woah those models are actually pretty short... i guess the fact that their legs are longer compared to their torso (i'm doomed............) and that they're very thin makes them look taller...
