One thing I really don't like about korean entertainment or kpop in particular is how some groups/singers are so overrated. On the top of my head would be jay park. Honestly, his album was sort of a disappointment and I was more exited about the rappers that were featured.

But for the people who said that long dresses don't look good on short people, I wore a long dress and I'm not that tall 5'2.5ish and I think it looked okay. I honestly thought that long dresses would never be my thing but..... <3
Last year I was going to wear the short black and white dress, but it got altered too short so I ended up wearing the long dress (which I was saving for this year). Is my short dress too simple for senior prom? I was thinking of getting it re-altered longer, but should I just get another dress?
I think Nordstroms is a good place for prom dresses, if it is an option. My friends and I got all our dresses from there and we didn't see anyone else with the same dresses. And from what I saw, different Nordstroms had different dresses. Online prom dress buying is a problem for me because I'm pretty chubby. I would have to try the dresses on to see if it fit and flattered my body
If money and weight were not an issue I would totally buy online... -

I speak mostly in Seoul dialect with a little bit of Jeonju Slang.

How much makeup do you wear?
For summer i normally wear medium-to-full or none if I'm not going out. For school I wear either full face or none; its about 60:40 ratio.
If I do put on makeup foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, eyeliner, mascara, some form of highligher, sometimes eyeshadow & lipstick/gloss or both.
How intense is your makeup?

When i first got the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, I didn't like it because it was so sheer and almost no cover. I have to say when paired with the Laura Mercier it looks absolutely fabulous. I understand why their tinted moisturizer is pretty popular, especially with summer. As a little side note, the powder doesn't match my skin tone perfectly, but i think its because it was made for white people? haha. But it makes my skin look good, i used it for prom
I also found one of the best foundations, in my opinion. The NARS sheer glow foundation. I initially wanted to get the sheer matt but my color was out. On a side note, I realized every time i go to sephora, my color is always out
. So I got the sheer glow and it matches my skin so perfectly. Almost too perfectly that i want the color to be a little lighter so my skin looks lighter. LOLWith the NARS, i like to use clinique translucent loose powder or diorskin forever compact. Diorskin forever powder compact is so nice. It makes my skin feel so smooth and good. I even wear it on its own, but it definitely recommend this powder.
I really think NARS and Dior are two brands that really fit asians.
YSL liquid foundation with the YSL powder makes my skin look really nice too. I use it on days i want my face to look a little brighter?
I used to think my MAC foundation looked good not me, but my other ones make me look so much better.

i feel like dior is overrated. I have the dior show blackout, the regular tube, and the waterproof one; and its just nothing special. In fact i barely use it.
The masacara I'm in love with right now is this japanese one called Lash Code. I have both their lengthening and volumizing and i switch between the two or use both. and its around 17ish with tax.
But a really cheap masacara i love is the super lash by apple in avacado. I feel in love with the avacodo smell and it tottally works better than the dior masacaras imo even though its like 15-25 dollars cheaper (i forgot how much the dior mascaras are ><;)So i recommond that masacara to people who are in a pinch. i've gone through 4 tubes of this so far.
but never ever get sephora brand makeup especially their mascaras.

Can anyone recommend me a powder that has a very natural, glowy finish?
I just need something translucent to set my makeup.
I currently use the Diorskin Nude foundation (and am in love with it), but the thing is that I have terribly dry skin so I use very heavy moisturizerz underneath my makeup which can make the foundation slip around a bit. So, I like setting my makeup. I'm using the Chanel Universal Pressed Powder at the moment, but I find it a bit to matte for me. I don't want anyting with glitters or shimmers, just a nice natural glowy powder.

I personally really like to use clinique translucent loose powder or the mac mineralize skin finish. I alternate between the two because I can't make up my mind between them. Makeupforever High Definition Loose powder is okay too I guess. I don't use it as much as my other two though but it does its job and some of my friends like this powder over the clinique and mac ones. Hope that helps ><;
