The quality of the drama and your posts make the drama and this thread a part of my daily life these days. I keep rewatching the aired episodes, listening to the drama osts, looking for news and reviews on the drama, and of course, visiting this thread every hour. The first thing I do after waking up is to check this thread. The last thing I do everyday before sleeping is to check this thread and think of the memorable scenes in "Descendants of the Sun". Sometimes I find it hard to sleep, what I do is to open this thread and read your comments.

its exactly what i do. however i might be out of action from tomorrow. work full steam ahead!

 

this caught my eye while staring at the top of the screen: A love story between Captain Yoo Shi Jin, who belongs to the UN peacekeeping troops, and Army Doctor Kang Mo Yeon.

Is MY an army doctor? She is a volunteer doctor right? Is this like her future job? she will follow YSJ wherever the army goes? heehee.

hence, this sly one favourite food is ramen could have hidden meaning cos it can be prepared at either of their places. and since it is at night he can stay over.  

I think the more SJ and the others tease her  about the confession incident  and her relationship with SJ the more she will want to move away from him.

 

@kikirs but she has to take responsibility of her words! so let's wait and see how. i don't think she can run away that much. its definitely 100% confrontation and 50-100%? admission. but i don't think they will be a couple immediately. just confirmation of feelings first.

@melissala there should be a research on fan study about how we entrap ourselves in the drama world and conduct our daily lives. we all log into soompi willingly and for some we let others retell the scenes, highlighting the favourite scenes to rewatch the episodes in word form/ condensed form/ exaggerated form. just saw a few gifs and now i have to create time to rewatch the eps again --_--, including your backing away and moving in scene. the fault is on the leads! their subtle movements!!! gets us rethinking and wanting cos its too short.

yea she is actually a public figure since she went on television. maybe when YSJ is in trouble and the military wants to keep it hush hush from public, she can broadcast conspiracies openly to entire korea. or her love conspiracy heh. but this time, she intentionally wants to declare.

your post triggered the following thoughts (linking SJ w medical team):

i wonder how much medical knowledge does SJ have... we know its substantial enough for first aid and impressive diagnosis.

his declaration that he could be a lawyer or doctor but given his physical abilities as well, he is obligated to put both brains and body for his nation. 

i wonder whether there will be some major interconnections or cross overs of their job scopes... i think then they can build more respect and trust between those two. a small example was when SJ gave first aid, i enjoyed that new plot very much. it gets boring once they continue doing the jobs they are suppose to.

i think MY should have some military involvement too, then she can understand SJ better. i wonder at which small opening can MY penetrate into the solid military defences and protocols. Maybe MJ can help^^

anyhoos,  both knows very well that they are each highly capable professionals. guess next on the list of awareness is their hearts.

in typical k plots, that daughter big shareholder would also interfere with the lead love lines. i hope not man! keep them separate please writers.

doubt they were shot for publicity sake only. advertisement sake and early release yes, but not just for posters please.

if not i i will depend on trusty fans to spin a kisses clip on them. 

think SDY and MJ kiss which has been holding out for so long may even overshadow our leads at the end.

your hypothesis seems plausible. 

Argus probably has another trade deal and maybe this time its with the Alpha team undercover. i don't think Alpha team will be deployed to protect another illegal dealer. it would be hilarious if they were deployed to protect that slim ball manager against Argus in payment for SDY punch. haha. 

 

think the theme is human trafficking right? it could be a high ranking official who is good at cracking down on such cases. 

so many possible plot lines!

 

the separation of couples between 2 countries will drive us nuts. i think thats coming soon again. the last plane was a forewarning i bet. i wonder how short lived their separation will be. probably longer than previous  but then their feelings are confirmed already so who cares. haha.

It's also about the leads: when you have SHK (just an example) it's a given that the drama will be successful (just remembered that TWTWB was half ready when it started to air) Another factor, the casting is finished just weeks before the drama starts. If you pay attention, the dramas where casting finishes earlier, has already finished filming 5-6 episodes before it airs and you can sense the difference in quality (acting and production).

It all goes down to money: a cheaper product is cheaper because the owner didn't want to invest more in it

according to that youtube video i edited to my original post just 1 min ago, seems like day 1 was in june last year! and yes the quality is top notch! can't believe they produced it this fast. but then i think if we cut out our longing gazes between all the couples... maybe it was at an okay speed haha.

anyone knows anything about k drama and their filming schedule. 

its a good thing that DOTS has completed their filming right? when were they done? (there should be leaks then heh heh heh)

is DOTS a bigger budgeted film? especially since it is shot overseas they can't drag on. 

why issit that other k dramas can't do the same especially for locally made? i guess a practical reason would be the actors/actresses schedules.

i think all of them know that MJ dad wants SJ to be his son in law. so that is his nickname. but he is not the real son in law. its a joke between the 2 but SDY didn't know and this term son in law is offensive to him since MJ is his. so he quite 'insulted/annoyed' that MJ and SJ dare to take up this nickname as if sharing a bond. but we all know this steady guy is just picking on them.

SJ degree of denial was not necessary but in the name of bromance and entertainment value, it was amusing.

i like this 3 together . there should be more scenes! 

the doctor MY presence will be too serious for this fun bunch. they need to have flashback on their younger days in army.

SDY only reacts to MJ when she admits she is weak, not doing okay...

when MJ is trying to be sexy and in control, SDY holds his grounds.

my favourite scene in ep8 was when MJ walks in and declares to SJ that her dad wants to speak to his son-in-law. 

SDY reaction followed by YSJ response was hilarious. 

Questions, so many!

1. i guess YSJ only knew MY was still grounded in Uruk cos her hp was left there? 

2. is there a new kiss scene? why do i see a standing kiss in the sunlight? so we know for sure that there will be 3 kisses? (one at the back of a truck, one with her wearing grey sweater and another one standing in the sun)

3. a thing that has been plaguing my mind... the shoe lace scene in ep6... was MY wearing a skirt?! he took a looonng while to raise his eyes. that brought my suspicion hahaha. 

4. in ep4, i was wondering so hard why YSJ can still steal a loonng look at MY with a gun pointed at his head. yes yes, he is looking at her but i cannot wrap my head around that since he is CAPTAIN. then it dawned upon me that the enemy gun is pointed in the direction of their president. doubt they'll fire anyway. that should have been on his mind while he looked at her. TSK. (I  have to find excuses for YSJ actions to calm my rational mind)

 

5. how come the army boys don't gossip about big boss and beauty? hmmmmm. i thought they were very obvious before the confession. anyway, i want to see what kind of faces the army boys will make when they see them together, heehee.

i started watching DOTS because of the fandom... i truly love the fandom. at first i was incredulous at the craze, a bit indifferent. now totally sucked in.

i managed to watch the later part w/o lag and can join in everyone reeling in laughter and disbelief.

they use a lot of 'i want to confess to you' but are holding back on the actual confession. think this is the first k drama that drags on confessions for the sake of confessing. kind of like it, its very tasteful. plus everyone knows the answer just that the deed cannot be done easily except through an ACCIDENT. thank you writers.

think we know most k drama confessions have a laundry list of you are this and that to me...... don't think they have much to say to each other besides charming, pretty for the first few eps. they have seen life and death TOGETHER and are going to experience it next together for themselves, their real confession/feelings will be richer.

DJ and MJ have a do-S and do-M relationship man. each time he stand his ground, he is like challenging her to do things to him while she nags. then she challenges back and makes him do things like being at attention. then when he hugs or touches her, she scolds him for it... its entertaining though but time to change tactic please.

 

she should challenge him to do something more while they play rank.
