Shin Se Kyung discusses her friendship with Girls’ Generation
Actress Shin Se Kyung discussed her friendship with members of Girls’ Generation on June 9th’s broadcast of KBS2‘s ‘Entertainment Relay‘.
The star sat down for an interview to discuss her surprise transformation into a singer, and mentioned that the song she loves to sing most is by Girls’ Generation.
She added, “Some of the Girls’ Generation members are my friends. I go to the same university as Sooyoung so we were already friends, and I got closer to Yuri unni after we both worked together in the drama ‘Fashion King‘.”
When asked if she met with the members a lot, Shin Se Kyung answered honestly, “Since they’re part of a global girl group, [they don't have much] time to meet up.” -

Lee Joon Hyuk chose ‘Flower Dog’ as his nickname in Man From The Equator
If you watched KBS2 drama Man From The Equator, starred by Uhm Tae Woong, Lee Joon Hyuk and Lee Bo Young, you must feel the total evilness of Jang Il (Lee Joon Hyuk’s character) , a man who betrayed and hurt his best friend only because of greed and ambition.
During the drama’s airing, Korean fans gave several nicknames for Jang Il, such as : Flower Dog (means a good looking man with a dog-like personality), Suit Jang Il (means Jang Il looks good in suit), Jangilchopath (means Jang Il is psychopath).
Among all of those , Lee Joon Hyuk chose Flower Dog as his favorite. He said,” Flower Dog is the most memorable. I like it. It shocked me the most, it implied many things. It showed that many fans enjoyed the drama. It brought me so much joy. You know, when your audience responded well to whatever you’re saying, you get excited. All those compliments were encouraging me”.
Lee Joon Hyuk also added that he tried to not be affected mentally with Jang Il’s evil. However, he still experienced body swollen after the drama, as a response to the stress.
He said ,” I think my body was swollen as my tension is released from long-time stress. I’ve been trying to rest my mind. Because I should continue my career (laughed) . But, there’s a lingering feeling. It’s like the feeling that remains for 3-4 months after reading a long novel and soaked into the character”.
We think, Jang Il’s role will last long in Lee Joon Hyuk’s mind, as he is heading to 2 years mandatary army duty later this month. -

Park Bo Young confesses that Won Bin is her celebrity crush
Actress Park Bo Young revealed her long-time crush on Won Bin.
On the June 4th episode of MBC‘s ’Come To Play‘, Park Bo Young admitted, “Ever since I was young, I had a crush on Won Bin. I liked him since I was in middle school, and during every interview, I admitted that I was a fan.”
She said on the show that there was a moment when she was able to actually meet Won Bin in person. Park Bo Young detailed, “I unexpectedly met Won Bin at a campaign shoot, and I was surprised that he knew my name.” She added, “It was a [casual] place to just have a can of beer, but I was so surprised when he called my name that I wasn’t able to answer.”
The smitten actress left a video message for Won Bin saying: “Even my fans know of my obsession over Won Bin because I always talk about him. I received a life-size picture of Won Bin laying down looking at me so I hung it up in my room.” -
To be honest, it is a disaster!! I just miss the old layout so much. It was much more easier, user friendly and multi optioner. The one thing that I liked in the new one is the coloring only. I wish that old layout is going to be back and all the users will be then happy LOL

Suzy blushes after sending a cameo request to Lee Min Ki
On June 2nd, the stars of new drama ‘Big‘, Gong Yoo, Lee Min Jung, and Suzy, appeared for an interview on KBS2‘s ‘Entertainment Weekly‘.
On this episode, the three actors gathered together on the set of ‘Big’ to reveal their honest thoughts about each other. Lee Min Jung said her first impression of Suzy was that, “she really looked like a doll.”
When the reporter commented that Lee Min Jung also had doll-like features, she replied, “I’m a doll that’s a bit old now. Suzy is like a doll that’s just been born. Her skin is so fresh.”
When asked about the cameo role for ‘Big’, Lee Min Jung replied, “I saw that Lee Seung Gi sshi came out on ‘The Greatest Love‘. If only he came out on ours,” and Suzy said, “Lee Min Ki sunbae.”
Gong Yoo then commented, “I personally know Lee Min Ki. I’ll call him for you.” Suzy started blushing immediately and Gong Yoo followed with, “I guess you really do like him,” making Suzy even more embarrassed, and elicited laughter on the set. -

Shin Se Kyung finishes the shooting of Fashion King despite her strained ligament
Actress Shin Se Kyung revealed a picture of her wearing a cast on her leg.
On June 2, the representative of Shin’s agency, Namoo Actors, uploaded pictures and tweeted, “A snapshot with Shin Se Kyung with a cast who played the lead on Fashion King. She pulled a ligament during the shootings, but she could not wear a cast back then. So she finally has a cast now. It’s nothing too serious.”
In the picture, Shin and representative Kim Jong Do is standing next to each other. Shin’s cast on her leg attract attention.
Despite Shin’s bright smile, netizens were worried whether Shin really is all right. Previously on June 2, Shin revealed a self-taken picture and posted, “I’m okay by the way.”
Shin mentioned her other tweets and posted, “I strained my ankle about a month ago after the first shooting of the series. I’m so silly.”

Sin Se-kyeong to be the face of Nature Republic
Actress Sin Se-kyeong has signed a two-year exclusive contract with the cosmetic brand Nature Republic, becoming the new face for the brand in Asia.
The skin care and makeup brand announced on May 31 that Sin's popularity as a Hallyu actress will help the brand's image in the seven nations in which it has outlets.
"Sin is an actress who is liked by the old and young alike. As well as promoting the brand, she will take part in product developments, too", said the company's CEO Jung Un-ho.
The brand decided to ask Sin on board because it believed that Sin's "healthy and pure" image meshed well with the brand.
Advertisements featuring Sin will be distributed throughout the brand's shops in Asia.

Actress Shin Se Kyung seems to be enjoying some limelight with her plan to release the audio of a song. It has come to light that the plan is the part of the promotion for a commercial.
On May 29, a source from Namoo Actors stated, “Shin Se Kyung has been recently selected as the new face of a coffee brand. She got involved with the production of the audio as a part of the promotion of the brand.”
The actress was recently selected as a model of a coffee house chain. The brand pursues comfortable atmosphere for which the coffee houses will play music carefully chosen according to time and mood of the day. The song by Shi She Kyung will be added to the songs of list for the coffee houses.
The agency also revealed, “Previously, we held an audition for a musician who will sing a song for our brand. An underground group from the audition sang a commercial song with Shin Se Kyung. They’ve finished recording the song, the its audio will be released on June 13. However, it doesn’t look like Shin Se Kyung debut as a singer.”
Shin is expected to generate a sensation with the new song. The starlet already proved that she was a good singer with songs she sang in the movie Blue Salt and SBS’s Fashion King.

Actor Lee Jun Hyuk to enlist in the military in June
Actor Lee Jun Hyuk has been confirmed for enlistment as an active-duty soldier in June.
A representative of his agency, Wellmade Star M, stated, “Lee Jun Hyuk will be enlisting next month. Although he still has drama-related schedules left, he has been confirmed to enlist in the coming month.”
Lee Jun Hyuk gained much popularity for his role as Jang Il on KBS‘s ‘Equator Man‘. His character is known for being childhood friends with Kim Sun Woo (played by Uhm Tae Woong), who betrays Sun Woo to keep his father from going to jail.
Lee Jun Hyuk has also appeared on SBS‘s ‘First Wives’ Club‘ in 2007, KBS’s ‘Three Brothers‘ in 2010, SBS’s ‘I Am Legend‘ in 2010, and SBS’s ‘City Hunter‘ in 2011.
