The subs will be timed to Karot 720p. I was hoping semi-fly would get all the Karot RAWs for this drama, but she (?) only has Khai on some of them. Anybody know where to find them (except for aja aja (which you have to pay $20 for a year for membership)).
I can't wait to start watching this drama. So happy we will have the best subs possible for it!!

I fast forwarded a bit of the episode to look for the kiss and there are actually several kisses!! I APPROVE!!!
Interesting how YSH and PEB kiss so much better than k-drama actors way older than them. I am sure it has to do with the fact this drama is on cable, but if that's what it takes for actors to actually kiss like normal people do, I LOVE CABLE!! What I liked the most was that HYS is the one that kisses him after he tells her he loves her. So sweet!

This drama is so criminally underrated it makes me sad - I really hope the actors and all the other staff know that they did an awesome job!!! Definitely the drama that left the biggest impression on me this year and I will be re-watching it a lot. -

I'm mostly a silent reader in this thread but just my 2 cents:
If what we have read about their contract is true, I really would want them to leave now. I wouldn't want anybody I love stay in an "abusive relationship" like that. If they are not happy, and I honestly do not think they sued SM lightly (having everything to lose by doing so), I'm telling myself to be unselfish and letting them go - thanking them for EVERYTHING they have done.
What I hate the most about this whole situation is not that the fandom is wavering and losing hope, it's that the boys themselves are divided. That is what hurts the most. I think it would have been so much easier to accept this situation if they were in this together. As the situation is now, one of the sides will lose - how can they go on together after this? Both sides are probably feeling a lot of pressure too and I pray they have the strength to get through this, no matter the outcome.
All I know is that I will continue to support them in the future - either as a group or separately.
What I don't understand in all this - maybe somebody could inform me if you know? How can SM give the boys an ultimatum that basically says, "If you don't drop your charges and come back to us before the 12th, TVXQ is finished?" The court ruled in their favor.

As for the rumors of the outcome of the court case - I think they are just rumors - at least I really hope so. Fans are so anxious for a verdict, because we've been waiting for so long! (It did stop my breathing for a good 10 seconds when I read it though!)

Contrary to what others think, I think that the story progresses well. I really like it, I'm not in love but I'm getting used to Yunho's acting. As a bias fan of TVXQ, it's hard to love BongGun like the way I love Yunho. The characters started to captivate my heart in episode 4. I didn't expect it to be that GOOD and i can't really seem to hate SW. I don't know why but he's really cute when he smiles. I have to watch ep 5 & 6 now (still waiting for ssubs) to hate SW. XD
I just had to reply because I feel so similar to what you describe here....
I really love Yunho and to be honest if i wasn't for him, I wouldn't be watching this after the first episode - even if he was the weakest part of that episode. I also feel HTTG's storyline seems to be progressing just fine so far - granted I haven't watched E05+06 because I am also waiting for subs.... It seems the writers/producers have a plan and are sticking to it - even if the ratings must feel like a blow to the stomach.
Again, I'm not trying to bash BOF but if I'm going to compare it with HTTG's storyline plus editing and transition of events, HTTG is way better in my opinion.BOF really was quite bad for the 2nd season - the transitions were non-existent, the storyline getting more and more ridiculous with Ji-Hoo getting so much attention. I really love Hana Yori Dango and was really disappointed with how the K-version turned out.
I guess it depends on your taste but I truly believe that HTTG will leave a big impression on me like Hong Gil Dong which is my favorite Korean Drama of all time. I believe that drama was also underrated.Hong Gil Dong - I really loved that drama too - it made me laugh and cry. And made me an eternal fan of Kang Ji Hwan.

However, the majority of the Korean public who watches dramas may not be a fan of either and therefore has no interest in watching it especially, if there are other dramas which garners their interest such as "Swallow the Sun and My Fair Lady." What'll be interesting is if HTTG can get some of the viewers from those dramas once those two dramas finish. I also think a lot of non-fans who watched episode 1 out of curiosity were turned off after watching it because episode 1 did not exactly make a good impression on the viewers. I just hope things turn around and the drama at least gets decent ratings so MBC won't cut it short.

I think this drama really gets better and better by each episode – I'm enjoying it so far. I do not have high hopes that it will get higher ratings when "Swallow the Sun" and "My Fair Lady" ends though – because they will be replaced by "Iris" (Lee Byung Hun's comeback drama) and the Hong sisters' new project "You're Beautiful" with Jang Geon Seok. In fact I am pretty sure MBC will cut it like they already did twice this year - with "Strike Love" and "Tamra". It's really too bad that Korean sports dramas don't get higher ratings - the J-doramas usually do (and they also often have idols as leads - like "Pride" and now "Buzzer Beat").

Me too. I have never seen anybody this cute in every single scene of a show! He really makes me LOL!

Watched the last episode and I'm all MEH! I'll never watch another drama with this PD and/or SW ever again! The 2nd season has to be one of the most frustrating ever. The Japanese version was so much better overall.
I actually think I've enjoyed reading Soompi more than watching the actual drama - since Macau. So thank you everyone for your wonderful contribution! YOU guys rock!!

This episode was just so full of ANGST! Yesterday's was so much better.
I have to say I really don't get why Jandi lets herself being trampled all over by JK. She can stand up for anyone else, but not herself? The writers are really frustrating me at this point concerning JK as well. I really do not like how they have portrayed Shigeru in this version. We've had to endure her sorry richard simmons for 10 episodes total (counting Ep 22). Enough already!!
And next week they are bringing in Umi!! We will probably only have tops 2 episodes more with Jundi love before the whole series is finished. I'm bracing myself for misery until the last 10 minutes of episode 25. Argh! There is a reason why I watch more Jdramas than Kdramas.

I didn't get Woo Bin's scene either. Was it a dream? One moment he's on the rail, next he's on the ground, smiling to himself, gets a phone call and Yi Jung is in the bar, drunk. What am I missing?

Calm down everyone! The PD's of BOF are NOT crazy enough to do that to their ratings. Plus, there was a picture of JD and JP in their wedding costumes floating around along with another picture of them walking along the beach holding hands. And if my speculation is right, this will probably end the Japanese way in which JK's presence is explained... if you know anything about the manga or the other versions. Unless the PD's and scriptwriters decide to turn this into a very bad Korean drama and have the wedding and some 3 years later thing going on. But I'm guessing that if that happens, the drama will still have a happy ending because this is based off a manga.
I agree with you. Of course JP and Jandi will end up together. I'm not worried about that at all. I just wish we'll have more scenes with the two of them together - fighting the obstacles, which I'm sure will be plentiful.
Oh and the wedding pictures were photoshopped.

Hmm.. it also looks like i'm the only one liking the first OST more than the songs played in ep17. Maybe a bit more exposure will help me come along. The songs were great, however~ some were placed at some awkward moments that just didn't set the tone right.. for me at least. The only one i'm really digging is Hyun Joong/Ji Hoo's acoustic version of "내 머리가 나빠서".. Well.. i am much more into the sappy kind of music! SS501's ending theme for ep17 just didn't set the mood right for the *gasp*- ending of ep17.xD But i thought it was cute. I never really complained about the first OST, i miss it actually. I hope they do not suddenly stop playing some of those songs~~ most of them were very meaningful to each of our characters. It just felt weird to me that close to none of the main songs were played in ep17. Anyhow, i can't wait to hear/buy volume 2!! I wonder how the packaging will be this time.. heehee.*^^* And i certainly hope some of the songs that were used in the BTS and NGs on the F4 talk show special will be included.xD

I agree with you about the ending theme - they should have kept the old one because it very often fits with a dramatic ending, which they have LOTS of!! And the song was the best on OST1.
The new SS501 song should really fit Jandi and Ji Hoo's scenes from now on, as he should be the one making her smile and being a good friend. I thought the triangle came into force way too late in this version. Hanazawa Rui was working on bringing Makino & Domiouji together at this point in HYD. Doing things to make Domyouji jealous, and getting him to realize that he can't live without Makino - like kissing her on the mouth in the hospital (not just her hand).
I hope we soon can move towards reconciling the two lovebirds and get a lot of interaction between them. Hurtful things have been said. They need to show the mending process!
Another sidenote: On the Special the guys mentioned that all of them have lost like 5-6 kg each during the shooting. It really shows. I was just rewatching some of SS501's performances from last summer and Kim Hyun Joong really looked so healthy there. Now he is very skinny! I hope they will be able gain those kgs when they stop their crazy hectic life once filming is over.

Which left me wondering, how come the Japanese counterpart of Woobin (Akira) didn't look like an extra in HYD Live? So, whose fault is it that Kim Joon's character rarely appears in the drama? The scriptwriter? or the PD? With barely 7 episodes to go, I doubt if they could even fit a background story for Woobin considering the LOVE TRIANGLE's unresolved issues which might stretch for a few more episodes.
I missed Woo Bin too. I think he is fun to watch. I don't think it's too late for Woo Bin's story. If I remember correctly, we only had a peak into his life in HYD when Makino (& Yuki) went to his home in episode 3 of Season 2. He invited the F4 and Makino after Shigeru had kissed Domijouji - and he wanted D&M to talk together. So I am hopeful that Akira (Woo Bin) will do the same thing here and be successful in bringing JP and JD back together again (he wasn't in HYD but the timeline is different in this version).
Would like to share the new songs that appeared in the latest episode (episode 17). They are just ripped version though :blush: . I hope this one will be in the OST volume 2. or did it come out already?To be honest, for some reason, i'm not digging much anymore the yijung-gaeul storyline.

And I also agree with you on the YJ story. I was bored! Kim Bum is a good actor, but this was a bit too much. And I really can't see his father as a womanizer. Who would fall for that guy?
Not sure how many of you also loved watching Goong...but I'm really hoping that they will have a better closing in BOF. Goong had a happy ending but it felt that like after 23 epis of fighting and misunderstanding, we only had 1.5 epis of them having any reasonable length of happy times together. I rather give up some of the additional twists that was in the JP version (like the amnesia episode) so the ending does not get rushedI too hope they have a more satisfying ending than Goong. It's too bad when the main couple struggle until the last 10 minutes of the last episode. But unfortunately I find kdramas too often do that. Goong is one example, My Girl is another. Choon-Hyang... I can name a few...
Definitely, I prefer more of Jun-hee trying to help our main couple JP and JD reconcile rather than a WB side story.I agree - where is Jun-Hee? She's supposed to be Jandi's supporter. I really hope to see a lot more of her from now on.
And yes...I agree. The viikii translators really need to stop the commentary. It's annyoing! We can think for ourselves!

I am so glad they came to the conclusion of airing just one episode this week. I really look forward to the NG/background Special and the best part of it is that the cast hopefully will get a little rest - poor GHS!
As for the kiss, JP just really needs to realize he can't live without Jandi and the realization will come after this. His heart will forever be hers from thereon. I'm getting hopeful we will not get the selective amnesia part. I hate that part of the manga, and still can't like Erica Toda (the girl who played Umi in HYD) in anything else she does - poor Erica!
The maid part is fun though. I love that old maid.
