Wow, I don't know what to say. I mean, first off, I'm sorry that you are in this situation right now. I can only imagine the emotional turmoil you are feeling. In my opinion, this relationship is really... volatile. I understand the logic behind "getting even" or "playing on equal levels" or whatever, but that is not the right course of action to take. Imagine scenario 1, say you do go out and cheat .. twice. You come back, "hey honey, I finished cheating on you; we are now even. Let's get back together." Of course not like that, but something along those lines... Say you are happy together again. How long will that last for? Knowing that the both of you have been unfaithful towards each other. Getting even does not take away the impact of the action done unto You want to keep him because he makes you "happy." It doesn't really sound like a "happy" relationship. To me, I think it might stem from the fear of being alone. But again, I don't know you well enough to determine that. It just sounds like it, because you talk about all these good memories. and how you want to hold onto it. I don't want to end up preaching about life or anything, but there's a point when you know you should hold on or let go. That lack of anger or grief signifies something. Give it time. See how you feel in about.. one week's time.. maybe even longer. Until the reality of him cheating on you sets in. My professor lectured in class one time, speaking of how individuals in Western societies always have the tendency to find the core of the problem and fix it, instead of feeling the pain or grief in the process. So that's maybe one thing you want to think I don't know the two of you so I couldn't possibly suggest any methods... but one thing my boyfriend and I do, is debate about heavy topics in the world, such as genetic modification, stem cell research, abortion, death, etc. Our relationship wasn't like this before, but ever since entering college, long-distance relationship, we could not really physically be there for each other, so we had to find something mentally stimulating. And well, we found our
