I'm not sure why, but I find the sequence where the siblings all say "appa" in quick succession to be really adorable.
Daebak is growing up so quickly!

Soo-ah and Seol-ah hitting each other isn't good behavior, but it is extremely common between siblings. I'm not a twin, but my oldest sibling and I got into scuffles throughout our childhoods, well after we should have known better. These children are two years old and aren't fully developed socially or mentally. When they get frustrated, sometimes they act out with swiping or hitting -- just like many children. And, yes, this is the age when the parents start to discipline for those things. IMO Dong Gook took the "facts" he knew and disciplined the one he thought was the instigator. We aren't privy to the other times he or his wife discipline the girls. Clearly they already know how to raise hard-working and respectful twin daughters, so I trust that the younger twins will get there, too.
I also find that Seo-jun and Seo-eon behave more "spoiled" as depicted on the show. They are mischievous or disobedient and are infrequently disciplined on-camera. Seo-jun often does things like makes a mess (like with the flour or the plastic cups) and doesn't face any consequences. This isn't a criticism of their family -- I like Seo-Jim and Seo-Eon and their family because they are sweet and really funny kids. It's just an observation. Maybe it's because they are boys and they are considered playfully mischievous, while people judge the girls more harshly because girls are expected to be gentle and proper?
The booger eating is one of my personal pet peeves (nose picking alone is not so bad, but the eating part grosses me out so bad). The girl twins aren't the first to pick and eat their boogers. I've seen it so many times on the show and it makes my whole body shudder every time! I have to look away. Little kids, man.

Lee Seo Jun and Lee Seo Eon started in the show around the age of 6 or 7 months, right? To me, that seems very young, but it worked out ok for the show. It was actually pretty interesting watching Hwi Jae adapt to being their caretaker. It almost seemed more true to the concept of the show, focusing so much on the dad's struggles and joys. And, man, did Hwi Jae have a lot of struggles. (I felt really bad for him during the first Jeju trip.) But we saw the boys grow a bit, though I think Seo Eon may have been behind Ji On a bit in talking, since I think he's a few months older and it feels like he started talking more relatively recently. Their family has the benefit of being twins and having a MC as the dad, so the segments were always entertaining.
We'll have to see how Eugene's family fares. I'm not very excited about them, but will give them some time to settle in.

Can someone explain why Sooah and Seolah Are called the Beagle Sisters? Is it a pun/play on their names? Based on their personalities? Is it a completely random nickname? Who gave them the nickname?

@evierain so sorry if i really offended you. i sent you a personal message.
Thank you for your PM. I am sorry If I came off very strong. I was feeling frustrated, maybe because of seeing the online criticism poor Jion got made me more sensitive.
From your original post, I know you said you enjoy the kids, so I know you weren't coming from a hateful place. I now wish my previous posts acknowledged that.
I hope we can all agree that they are entertaining! And that it IS really lovely that LDG took the hair styling lesson so seriously. Anything he can learn will help as the little girls get older and can help him bond with the older twins, too.

Agree! I am also a little troubled that this is not the first time someone has said that LDG's twins are "not the prettiest girls." It bothers me for a few reasons: 1) no one ever says that about any of the boys who have been on the show, and not all of them have been baby-model cute (which is totally ok!), 2) I do think Soo-ah is super cute and Seol-ah's new haircut really suits her and brings out her best features, and 3) and why do we even need to be pointing out how "not pretty" children are (it seems normal to talk about the cuteness of your favorites, because it's being positive, but talking about the not-prettiness of small children seems very catty).

the twins of lee dong gook never fails to entertain me with their facial expressions and antics. they may not be the prettiest girls on television but there's never a dull moment with them. happy to note that they're paying more attention to the appearance of the twins unlike in the past when they would appear dishevelled with those unruly curls. it may be more natural and realistic(after all this is a reality show) but it can be disconcerting. jion may be not interesting to others but she is always well groomed and dressed impeccably by her parents and so are the song triplets.
I'm not sure why it is necessary to constantly crticize the "unruly grooming" of LDG's younger twins. They are never shabbily dressed. They are dressed cutely when they go out and at their "worst" they are in pajamas at home. Their hair is done when they leave the house. Sometimes their hair is messy when they wake up in the morning or after a nap. Fixating on that just seems to be criticism for criticism's sake. I could understand if children looked ungroomed all the time, but that isn't the case. And we know they are not being neglected, as they're clearly well loved, well fed, and (minus some mischievous baby behavior) they are well behaved. A little bedhead, especially on a child who has a hair texture that may be a challenge to her parents (especially this father), is not at all concerning. Those children are being well raised, even if those two-year olds don't have stylists doing their hair every day.
I dont mean mean to pick on anyone, but it is a bit frustrating watching the way other people concern troll stranger's parenting over superficial things, especially when we know the parents are doing a good job overall. And I mean in general, not just here. It reminds me of those toxic mommy forums here in the States.

Jion's mom posted an Instagram video of Jion and one of the new puppies. It's so cute, I miss her already.

incidentally, this is not nitpicking but sometimes i find the twins sula and su ah unkempt and untidy, their hair are so unruly with all those curls . don't these kids have stylists? i have never seen the triplets , sarang or ji ohn untidy. i hated the clown pants of ji ohn then but she is kept well groomed by her parents same with sarang and most specially the triplets.
They're barely two. I wouldn't expect any of these children to have stylists on a day-to-day basis (though it's fine if any families do), but especially not 2-year-olds who have been on the show for two months.
I actually love Sua's unruly curls. They are so unusual and cute. I think it's hard to compare with Jion and Sarang because they have straight, easy to manage hair. For a dad who hasn't cared for his girls on his own much, and who definitely hasn't had much experience managing curls, I think he's done fine with the younger twins. They usually look acceptable when they go out; Sua usually has her hair in little buns or pigtails to keep things under control. I hope next week they teach him to style more defined curls to cut back on the frizz (she'll need someone to teach her if her hair stays curly), but I'll still love seeing adorable post-nap messy curls.

well the original is from lewis carroll's poem "the jabberwocky", which is a madeup dragon character.
their "red pill" performance actually came from the Matrix, "Take the blue pill and story ends or take the red pill, you stay in wonderland and I'll show you how deep the rabbit hole goes", which is pretty cool if you think about it, because it all kinda connects. (fyi- lewis carroll is the writer of Alice in Wonderland)
Here's a video interview where KB talks exactly about the Jabbawockeez' name.
