[[Mainland Chinese Drama 2023] Back From The Brink 护心]

I can't believe I just found out that one of my favourite novels is going to have an adaption!! I'm honestly so excited for this, I was watching Love and Redemption earlier and was thinking how it would be nice if Heart Protection also got an adaption, and lo and beyond, it's here!! And I think the casting already looks good! (though I'm not really familiar with them yet since I'm new in cdrama--) 

 

Can't wait to see the trailer! 

[[Mainland Chinese Drama 2019] Goodbye My Princess 东宫]

Hello, I just finished Goodbye, my Princess and I don't think I could move on from this drama for quite a long time. (T-T

 

I love the main leads so much, they have so much chemistry that even without the romanic scenes, seeing them together is already good enough. Usually with dramas, I sometimes end up liking the second leads but with this one, I was totally invested with the main couple! This is mostly likely the reason why the last episodes broke my heart. Seeing their love story rise and fall, then rise and then fall again really is painful to see. Two destined lovers but loved at the wrong time... it makes me so sad to think about it  :'((  If only they weren't born royalty or at least there wasn't the pain of betrayal and deception between them, I'm sure they would have been very happy. :'(

 

All the characters here are quite flawed (especially LCY and XF, in a way) but that is one of the reasons why I love it so! (but it won't stop me from throwing my hands up when misunderstandings occur when it could have been entirely avoided if they would just COMMUNICATE AAAA!)

 

The extra episodes was very nice to see. I'd like to think that this was the 3rd lifetime that monk was talking about back in the earlier episodes :'))

 

Also, I heard that there is a Director's Cut of this drama? If so, I think I'm going to rewatch this again after a few days of bandaging my heart because I'm a masochist and love to inflict emotional pain in my heart (TvT
