Who's going to be the next MC-turned-show-participant? First it was Hong Jin Young, now Eric.
Secretly hoping for ChoA.Anyhow, this is an interesting couple. I found myself re-watching MAMAMOO's After School Club episode and suddenly this moment stood out. Solar was asked what she would do to get a handsome guy's attention.
She was looking at U-KISS's Kevin when she was explaining, but then her eyes noticeably went to the left afterwards, where Eric was sitting. Eric even half-jokingly went, "She's looking at me! She's seducing me, guys!" A few seconds later, they asked her to make that kind of eye contact with the camera, and after she did it, Kevin went (in Korean), "Wow, Eric-hyung really liked that." To which Eric awkwardly responded (in English), "HA, HA, HA! Let's move on..." kekekekekeke

Just wanted to gif this, since she looked so happy.

Hello shippers, have some gifs!
How many WGM couples have had to go through this open-the-door-and-bow-awkwardly moment? A good percentage, I'd say, haha. Welcome to the club, 2KSY.
Prepared with an event on day one! I like this guy already.
I thought this was a funny shot. Like, ladies and gentlemen, these are the faces of an LG Twins wife and Doosan Bears husband. LMAO. (I'm assuming that's like a Red Sox/Yankees couple. Yeesh. May God help you both.)
Next week. I love how he didn't just grab her hand, he slid down the inside of her wrist.
Kwak Si Yang has a pleasant, steady quality that I like. If their next 2 episodes keep me interested, I'll stick around.

Hmm. Well i don't think Lim's really that comfortable yet she still looks stiff.
I agree, but here's the funny thing--she was awesome in the G.N.O performances. Rapping, hair flipping, body rolling, you name it, she owned it. That song has much more swag and flash, of course, but I do find it a little odd that she can't translate half that energy to Be My Baby. I get the feeling she doesn't like BMB as much, so she doesn't get as into it.
-
Woooooooow! G.N.O. truly was produced, choregraphed, everything-ed in true American style. Thank you, WG, for coming to America and realizing that live performances are supposed to be engaging. I though I'd go crazy if kpop never broke out of the choreographed robot mentality. Heaven forbid you actually groove to the beat.
Be My Baby was decent. It's nice being reminded how LOUD K Wonderfuls are.

I love, love, love the teaser, but does anyone else think that all the teasers so far (pictures, video, whatever) have been completely different from each other? Don't get me wrong, I've salivated for everything, but now the fun is figuring out what the heck is going on.
For instance, the first silhouette pictures were pretty typical for a Kpop video: futuristic, vaguely geometric dance set, all black clothes, some mysterious colored poofs, but for the most part, cut and dry. You're expecting nothing less than a cool pop/R&B song with a cool dance to match.
Then the first batch of official pictures came out guns blazing--literally. Modern black clothes, but antique weapons, and the overall concept went kind of noir.
Then the second batch of official pictures threw in the leather and police caps, and while not completely removed from the guns/spy theme of the first batch, this definitely made it more modern.
And then we got a rock video.
So.... they're undercover agents masquerading as rock stars?

Just wanted to contribute the converted teaser schedule those of us in the US!
Teaser pic #2: Sunday, October 30 @ 10pm EST
Teaser movie #1: Monday, October 31 @ 10pm EST
Teaser movie #2: Tuesday, November 2 @ 10pm EST
And west coasters can calculate it easily enough from there. CAN'T WAIT!!!

I just have to share this, coz it's too cute to pass. xD
Speaking of cute, just wanna share the .gif that cemented my love of Sunye and Yeeun. If anyone could translate the Korean, that'd be great. I've always wondered what it says.

Lurker WG fan crawling out of the woodwork! I've been reading up on all the hype, and I must say, I haven't been this excited for a comeback in a long time.... maybe ever? I just hope the girls come out guns blazing this time, especially since they won't be bearing their retro cross yet again.
On the other hand, looking at those backup dancers, it does seem like the generic all-black, dark, sexy concept is playing it safe. I don't know exactly what I'd like them to do, but I hope it's more than "just" that, you know? Girl groups have already done that concept up and down and all around for the past 2 years.
WG Believe!

God, MC is such an ax wound. If you can't tell the truth to the man you love, that's YOUR problem, not his.

I just finished episode 6 and I'm baaaawwwwllling! I like this show just because it's a true romantic drama, not a romcom. And I actually hope it does end at 12/13 episodes, because I hate it when they drag stuff out just for more ratings. Fated to Love You pulled that BS, and look how atrocious it turned out.

Heart of Darkness - Joesph Conrad
This was my face reading it:
Seriously. I wanted to go commit suicide afterwards.
-
So I checked out the first episode yesterday (late bandwagoner, I know ), and it's pretty cute. Direction from Jun Ki Sang is superb, as always. Thanks for all the pics and summaries, everyone!
-
Wow, this drama is really hoppin'. I'll definitely check it out after it's done.

Hi folks, just thought I'd share a wallpaper calendar I made. I'm starting a new part of my site and I chose HJW for my first graphic because she had some nice spring-themed pictures.

Hey, just wanted to fly in randomly and say that I started marathoning this drama on Sunday (I'm on ep 13 now) and I LOVE it! It was always on my 'list of dramas to watch,' thanks to ovette, who suggested I watch it, but now that I've finally gotten around to it, it's really adorable. Kinda long and some tangents along the way, but overall, the couple moments are to die for.
So if you know me, you know what this means--music video and Fashion Police. I'm still downloading, so the video won't come along until... November/December? I have to find good vacation time for it. Fashion Police, I'll try to do the first half in October and the second half in December. Let me just say here and now that Dal Ja has yet to wear a coat that I don't like. Lee Min Ki is looking pretty swish too.
The cherry on top is that they have some 5 million kisses in this drama, GOOD kisses, for that matter. I never thought I'd live to the see the day. *bows to writer/s* Chae Rim and Lee Min Ki have really nice chemistry too. They've successfully snatched third place on my favorite Korean couples list.
-
I'm gonna come flying in out of nowhere just to report that if I didn't love Nakatsu already, I am now completely taken. He's SO adorable! I finished watching 10 a few hours ago and his confession was done so well. He hugged Mizuki so sweetly, and he's the perfect height for her! His lips are RIGHT THERE at her temple/eye level. He could talk into her ear perfectly from behind, which is essentially what he did. Soooooo sweet! I mean, I'm rooting for Sano as much as the next girl, but I can't help but love Nakatsu.
-
Ah, finally got around to watching the first episode yesterday and I gotta say this looks great so far! I've never seen Maki so... upbeat, hehe. But I love that she's versatile, and her hair cut is awesome. As far as Shun's hair, I'm not crazy about it but he's still very droolworthy. I love that we got a piggyback ride in the first ep and the kissing monster already comes in the second ep! That's my kinda pace right there.
The writers/producers have changed quite a bit from the manga, which surprises me and yet doesn't at the same time. They don't want to be completely like the Taiwanese version after all; i.e., we've already seen the chest grabbing and the character of Izumi finding out her identity right away, etc. I like the changes so far, but we'll see how much it affects the later episodes.
Ah, I love J-dramas. They're so much easier to watch.

NEW MUSIC VIDEO - HOLDING THE FLOWER finally finished and available for download at my site!
It's definitely right up there with my My Girl video in terms of sap. JH and HGI had some very nice moments.

HELLO! MISS OPENING CREDITS is up!
So I thought I'd be all happy to be finished with this video, but nope, I'm only reminded that I have another one to do. The never ending cycle...
-
the drama goes in all directions and never really excels in any
guess the scriptwriter bit off more than she can chew, maybe she forgot it was only a 16 episode drama and written a script for 24 episodes
only a few minutes of happy moments between the 2 main leads for the entire drama seems almost unforgiveable
i find it hard to believe LDH actually took up this script of her own free will...
Actually, this is a common monkey wrench that happens to a lot of dramas and gets a lot of actors kicking themselves. Casting is confirmed before writing is finished, which leaves an actor's decision to commit relying on them maybe having read only the first 4 or 5 episodes or very rough drafts of the whole concept. They don't know the ending any more than we do when they pick up a drama, which is what can get them equally as frustrated about the same things we complain about: dragging, bad pacing, bad writing, bad ending, etc. I mean, just look at Jae Hee--he actually APOLOGIZED to his fans for playing such a whimsy, back-and-forth character in Witch Amusement after it finished airing. And it wasn't even his fault! And I heard rumors that Han Ga In openly criticized the writing too?
Well, whatever the case, LDH's choice to pick up H!M was of her own free will, but one can only do so much when the industry makes its business off keeping actors in the dark. By the time episode 15 or 16 rolls around on A LOT dramas, I'd say the actors are unsatisfied with the way the show was carried out.
-
After much huffing and puffing,
H!M FASHION POLICE 7-16 is up.
Overall, I agree the series wasn't a jewel. It had charm, but the hook wasn't there. None the less, I'm still making an opening credits and a music video, so stay tuned. I hope to finish them by the end of June.
-
Does that mean you'll make a trailor? *looks a snowapple hopefully*
^^
Haha, good question. I've never made trailers for Jdramas before, though I'm open to the possibility. If the first two episodes have good clips to use, yeah, I'll consider it. I was probably gonna make a music video for this anyway. I gotta finish up my H!M and WA stuff, then I can focus on this and Coffee Prince. Can't wait!
[OFFICIAL THREAD] DDONGI COUPLE ~ (Eric Nam ❤ MAMAMOO Solar) LEGGO~!
in shippers' paradise
Posted
When Eric was an MC, I always thought he would make a good husband on the show. Now we can finally see him in action! He cringed and laughed at all the others, and now he gets to do that for himself. I like that he's very easy-going, always tries to make everyone feel comfortable. And Solar's just a hoot; I've been a MAMAMOO fan ever since "Don't Be Happy."
So if you know me from the previous WGM threads, you know I'm a crazy skinship gif-maker. Communication is mostly nonverbal, after all.
I love this. It's a "moment" without any forcing or obviousness. He reached out, she felt his arm on her back, but neither of them stopped focusing on the subject at hand. They just rolled with it, the way adults do. So satisfying.
Ah, it always starts with playful hits.
Park Mi Sun probably feels like she's watching her son.
Side note, if you guys have never tried those escape rooms (the little ones Eric and Solar were locked in), I highly recommend them. They're really fun if you like mysteries/solving clues/general team building activities. And let's just say real personalities come out during those sessions, so be sure you really like who you go with. Hehe
