  1. I’ve been wanting to watch The Truth Beneath but can’t bring myself to at the time because of KJH. Anyway I manage to get through a rewatch of Confidential Assignment earlier this week, so I shall attempt this again.

I discovered SYJ through A Moment To Remember and she was so beautiful in this film - I love that scene in which she snatched JWS’s can of Pepsi and burped in front of him

I actually disliked the first scene so much - it seemed so unnecessary and misogynistic for the show to even go there about her underwores and bras and very un-Kdrama for it.

Then when it turns out PM was hiding her bugs in her boobs and using the culture’s discomfort with talking about her boobs to sneak them in my brain exploded.

This show is so much smarter than it gets credit for.

That scene also courted controversy with her saying “Bras without wires can’t support the chest”

It’s been a tough weekend without new episodes of TKEM... I think I will start rewatching, thanks to Netflix. By the way I have a question. Remember the man who gave those pictures to PM Koo in one of the early episodes, who was he supposed to be? I couldn’t figure whether he sided with LR or LG.

Officially he acts as the advisor to the PM’s office, but his interest is primarily with KU owned by her ex-husband. He collects intel for political extortion purposes, including the treasonous evidence he handed over to LG : private conversations with the King the PM recorded within the confines of the palace. Note that whenever the PM goes through security checks, she always emphasised her underwire bra, so there you go.

  4. To be honest, as much as I love the series, I don’t think S2 will happen. If there’s talk about a potential  continuation, the show wouldn’t have ended the way it did. Besides, WDH is currently prepping for a lead role for an OCN drama - his last project before his military enlistment

If the investors/production studio want to capitalise further, then release Vol 2 of the instrumental OST, and the screenplay.

I don't know about you all, but I'm starting to find more videos shot by extras on the TKEM set showing scenes we never got to see (JTE or Luna with all of these kids) !!! WHY  WHY? lol Guess my only hope now is that there will be some deleted scenes of JY, ES, MSA, and Nari

This must be the follow up to the scene where SJ lost his temper at the poor kids, and then got fired promptly after :P Those little terrors :phew:

  6. I’ve just finished watching the Chinese subbed finale because they usually translate articles and give brief explanations etc.

JY in 2021 reading the historical records of LR’s treason:

    “13 Dec 1994

At 2315 the alarm went off at Cheonjongo. The Royal Guards were dispatched.

    14 Dec 1994

At 0237 traitor LR murdered King Lee Ho. LR’s corpse was found 3 hours later.”

LG & TE time-traveled to KoC 27 Apr 2022 (another universe)

Newspaper headlines: “We need a good king. Petition to depose tyrant King Lee Gon reaches 2 million signatures.”

Oh thanks for this! Sorry I didn’t end up helping! And also Goblin ep 3 when Euntak couldn’t stop thinking about Kimshin and while riding her bicycle she kept encountering banners about Goblin. That was a beautiful song. Why do they do this to us lol.

I don’t understand the rationale either, because motifs of that piece kept recurring throughout the series.

I went to watch ep 3 of Goblin that you mentioned, but got no results with Shazam either.

Guys, I need help! I’ve been wanting thIs particular bgm for the longest time and the instrumental OST has finally been released. It’s now available on Apple Music, or listen on Spotify for free.

The bgm in Ep1 starts from 11:17 where the Saviour comes in to rescue the young LG. I’ve been listening to the entire OST for the last 6.5 hours(I bought mine at 12noon) and I DON’T HEAR IT ANYWHERE:(

I would appreciate anybody with a pair of fresh ears with access to the OST if they could identify  that piece or if it’s indeed omitted.

    Kamsahamnida!

Someone ripped that portion, and I think it is indeed not part of the official OST

I guess I’ll ripped it myself and add to my music library then :tears:

Same case with Goblin - the part where Sunny held Reaper’s hand and he relived her Goryeo memories.

Am I the only who thinks that PM did not kill Eun-a? But instead, Eun-a is the one in KOC?

When we see PM talking with LR, he said that out of everyone he has offered something, PM is the only one who knows the next step. Throughout the series, we see that PM is smart and she's greedy.... And she might be someone hard to control if LR will keep her alive. Eun-a, on the other hand, is someone who has no idea who LR is and she might have been offered to be Queen of ROK (possibly, might never know!) but I think that makes sense.

When PM first saw LG in the palace, she said, "You have always been honest" but the thing is, she has something against LG's honesty since the beginning, so her saying that is something fishy. Plus the fact that she seems to be going around reciting a script of original PM's life and not speaking from her own experience.

It is pretty obvious it’s the PM, and she has confirmed it at several instances in Ep13:

    • her first meeting with TE outside the KU building - while in the hallway with TE
    • their chance encounter at Gwanghwamun (I’m still at odds whether this was deliberate) - TE herself confirmed it in her convo with LG

She has shown to be extremely strategic and caught on quickly with LR’s schemes. Her dismissal, walking out with the heels bought in RoK, cemented her place on the opposing side.

    1.   Jo Yeong.  My golly what is his purpose, and what is the purpose of this character even?!?  It's like he exists only to plant a seed of doubt in viewers' minds that the main relationship can't possibly happen because of how distant they are.  It's starting to annoy me.  Even poor Shin Jae is already resigned to the fact that his feelings are not reciprocated, but Jo Yeong even went there.  Ugh.

    2.   Why didn't JTE tell LG about what she just learned from Lady Noh?  Was she assuming that he already knows?  Because the perfect time to tell him was in that courtyard, when he was speculating about what will happen when the flute is one whole again.  Because of what Lady Noh told her, she KNOWS that it is possible to cross worlds even when the flute is one and not broken.  It's not the fact that the flute was open that created the door to the parallel worlds.

    3.   And again, why didn't JTE warn LG about Luna?   The last scene would have been avoided if she had at least told him!  COMMUNICATION, PEOPLE!!!

    1. JY is just being realistic. He’s shown to be capable of improvising but not the type to think out of the box.

    2. Lady Noh made TE promise to keep the conversation BETWEEN them. Had she wanted LG to know, she would have revealed it eons ago.

    4. This frustrates me too. Realistically our instinct would be to warn our loved ones of impending danger but in dramaland our characters seem to behave in a one-track mentality. But with LG down, it gives JY the opportunity to be his ‘Unbreakable Sword’ again by coming back in time from a soju run to rush him to the hospital lol
