One thing I do like about this drama is that the protagonists aren't afraid to commit crimes and be nasty, unlike most dailies which tend to play it safe.

I don't really mind it either, its just I can't stand Hye Won's supposed righteousness, when she allies herself with criminals of various sorts, and passes it off as okay because none are as bad as Hye Ji

  2. Awww how touching, Chairman Romeo helps out Hye Won and all is forgiven ... the suicide cover up, the attempt to kill her sister with the WTOD, conspiring to remove her from power at YJ Group, taking custody of her son ... but he's redeemed, and its one big happy family ...

Oh and BTW, for all you guys on team "Good" - stealing police evidence is a crime ... yes, even if its to keep Hye Ji's allies from stealing it first ... and they got Goofy ML to steal it ... A LAWYER

She'd ally with Chairman Romeo if it benefitted her. Random plot idea: she teams up with Chairman Romeo to kill Hye-Ji, then betrays him after Hye-Ji dies and kills him too. She gets YJ Group. Kicks out Crazy Aunt. The end.

Kill both her own sister and the father of her husband?  There's a twist I could see this drama trying

She was part of the old lady’s lie about JC’s death, so she’s not that good.

And now she's playing nice and offering redemption to Chairman Romeo ... who plotted to kill Hye Ji - WTOD - if JC failed to kill her

Didn’t she get parental rights in the last episode?

Chairman Romeo had given the paperwork to Chad Oppa, but it hadn't been approved by the court when Hye Ji left the country

Yong-Ki got his memory back and HJ was arrested in the recent episode. She's also apparently teamed with Min Ja-Young. Will HW still be the final boss of this daily? I think so.

And another absurd complete reversal - it took 40 days to change Yong Ki to Andy, yet it takes only 1 day/episode to change him back

Why isn't our supposed "heroine" on fire about the doctor himself? Hye Ji didn't alter Yong Ki's memories on her own.  Does the doctor get a pass on the abuse charge leveled at Hye Ji?

Nevermind the legal argument, even if Hye Won got custody back in the interim, it doesn't change the fact that Hye Ji/Chairman Romeo had legal custody (which Hye Won AGREED TO) before she left.

The never ending twists are about the only thing this drama has left - With 3/4 of the drama complete, it seems clear that the writers are simply going to playout the Hye Won = Good vs Hye Ji = Bad storyline

Hye Won, with exceptions and redemption for every wrong do-er except the little sister she spent the first part of the drama looking for ...

I caught that part about how touched she was. Really, depriving YG of his mother is hardly a sign of cherishing him. Au contraire, it’s a self love that needs an innocent child to provide her with affection.

HJ is one character which I had never felt pity or any positive feeling.

Up until todays events, cherishing is a good descriptor - Hye Ji is in the wrong, but from what they've showed us thus far, she does care about the child.

I do pity Hye Ji as a character - she is clearly still driven by childhood trauma, even as misplaced as that may be, and our supposed just heroine, freely allied with a known murder, yet refused to offer her sister even a glimpse at the second chance she gave so easily to the other.

They did bill it as a tragedy, and so far as that goes they've delivered

So, wait... they drama finally decided to make Hye Ji take Hye Won's kid and claim him as her own??

With her money, she could have adopted 10 babies, why YG? This show makes me afraid to watch new shows.

The one redeeming quality Hye Ji has (if you can call it that) is that she genuinely seems to care about Yong Ki.

While altering his memory and flaunting the child before his actual mother, is certainly a horrible act - up til that point today, all of Hye Ji's actions toward Yong Ki were shown as truly caring, and this may have been cemented an episode or two ago when Yong Ki expressed concern for Hye Ji when she was burned and she seemed deeply touched as the child applied ointment to her wounds.

Of course this is all about to blow up, but I wouldn't be surprised if in the end Hye Ji sacrifices herself to save Yong Ki.

... or she wakes up in the hospital, and its all been a dream since the truck accident

  8. Okay!

We must be into the 3rd round of writers, because this has gone off the rails & over the cliff ... again

    train-wreck-jumping-high-in-high-angle-z

    - Chairman Romeo repents and just give's Hye Won custody back - no muss no fuss.

Now for the "best" part ...

    - Hye Ji remembers where she hid the golf bag with the slush fund key

    - Hye Ji then has fake passports created for her ... and Hye Won's son

    - Hye Ji proceeds to cook porridge in front of witnesses - drugs it when no ones looking - then feeds it to Chairman Romeo.  She never says "die" outright, but the casual way she upends the drug bottle into the porridge leaves little doubt she was trying to kill him.

    - Hye Ji then picks up Yong Ki at kindergarten, drugs him, and heads to the airport.

    - Hye Ji has Yong Ki's memories altered in a hospital in the Bahamas

Flash forward to just 40 days later ...

    - Hye Ji is returning to Korea with an entourage, a shady looking aide, and a cheerful loving son who nows goes by the name of ... wait for it ... "Andy"

Youre Kidding Are You Serious GIF by Snowfall

    As for the rest ...

    - Hye Ji also got so much money out of the slush fund, she also bought YJ group outright

Jimmy Fallon Lol GIF by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

    - Goofy ML re-opens his shabby little office

    - San Duel and his new would-be gf have a cringe sweet moment

    - And finally we are treated to Hye Won rushing to confront Hye Ji on her sons whereabouts only to have "Andy" casually stroll out of the kitchen, and become immediately frightened when Hye Won rushes toward him.

Neverminding the complete absurdity of this entire episode - If Hye Ji had enough $$$ from the slush fund to buy the company outright, why go back to Korea at all?

    - They have to know she tried to kill the Chairman

    - She's guilty of kidnapping Yong Ki, and transporting him out of the country under a false identity

    - If the Chairman wakes up, he's going to know she has the slush fund, and will no doubt try to kill her ... again.

So writers ... since you've tried just about everything else ... finish us off with the tri-fecta

the time @LeftCoastOppa  If I recall  Sun Jae fought with the serial killer in the original timeline. Sun Jae never saw the Serial Killer from my recollection in the second timeline. I believe she got the watch after the fight occurred in the original timeline.

I went back and re-watched the attack scene, while they focus on the watch falling off Sun Jae's wrist, he's shown clutching it in hand, while sitting in the hallway during Im Sol's hospital scene. So I was mistaken, the killer didn't have it.

As for Im Sol's watch, she claims she got it at an auction, so I was always under the assumption it was Seo Jae's actual watch that he himself put up for auction which was why Im Sol was always so protective of it.

Episode 8 was possibly the best so far.

The moment Sun Jae turns and sees Im Sol with the time capsule ...

    :heart2beat:

Now we gotta wait another week???!!!

  10. Since the writer/PD-nim made it a point to show us the watch being knocked off during Sun Jae's fight with the taxi driver, I'm starting to think the killer has it, and will use it to come at one or both of our leads.

Its a fair guess now that Sun Jae didn't commit suicide and may have instead been pushed by the killer.

I would also hazard a guess that Sun Jae & Im Sol were always together and that the killer may prove to be the cause of their fractured joint timeline.

So time for a bold unsubstantiated prediction ...

Along about episode 15 Im Sol will die at the hands of the killer. Sun Jae in his grief will somehow reacquire the watch and realize its power and that Im Sol had returned repeatedly to save him in the past. He will make a jump back and save Im Sol thus resetting what will be revealed to be their initial timeline, where they were never separated after high school.

  11. Loving the way the writers are weaving the story reveals -

We see that Sun Jae was plagued in part because he didn't get Im Sol off the bus in time to avoid the original accident that paralyzed her in the first time line

    4. MY WISH - i do hope in the new 2023, Im Sol can tell Sun Jae about her time travel...

He was half way to figuring it out, at least in part when he started remembering her initial odd behavior and her statements about the accident, and the reservoir, which allowed him to get to her in time this episode

  12. Sorry, after 60+ episodes, you can't make Goofy ML a bad guy simply by playing the "jealous" card. No, not even in a daily.

Goofy ML has been the steadfast, level headed, non-emotional in critical situations, foundation of team Good, for more than half of the drama.  We're now supposed to believe that he conspired with Chairman Romeo & Ji Eun's mom to have Chad Oppa arrested in the states and at the same time, he secretly records Chairman Romeo confessing the details of a crime (Chad Oppa's fathers suicide) that he then turns over to Hye Won

    - First, if Hye Won tries to use the recording then Chairman Romeo will know it was Goofy ML that betrayed him. Which leads to ...

    - Second, if Goofy thinks its off into the sunset with Hye Won, Chairman Romeo at the very least would let Hye Won know Chad Oppa was framed in part by Goofy, thus denying him her trust/love which is what he is supposedly after.

Goofy would know all this! ... yet thats what we got in todays episode

Did you all see that forearm Yong Ki threw at Crazy Aunt followed by that quick sidestep outta danger?

Kids got mad skills ... and perhaps a future in Hockey

  13. What a difference a single episode can make ... try these on for size

    - Chairman Romeo drove Chad Oppa's dad to suicide - looks like that was the basis (at least initially) for Chad Oppa to help Hye Won fight him

    - This was revealed to Chairman Romeo by Goofy ML ... it seems they're now working together ... just why is TBD

    - Art MIL's sister has this weird bonding going on with Hye Ji.  Apparently, she too had a contentious relationship with her sister.  Is she plotting something, or will she try to bring the warring sisters back together?  Her character just got alot more interesting.

    - Chairman Romeo's aide Mr Kim does indeed have feelings for Crazy Aunt

    - Bonus plot point - Mr Kim is Lawyer Min Jun's uncle!

Again, how is the kid the property of the Yoon family? The mother is alive and healthy.
It seemed she’s fired in the preview. HJ was chased out of the house but she had some pills.

In a FFWD and you'll  ( 🫵) miss it moment, Hye Won was accused of alcohol and drug use immediately after JC's death.  Grandma seized the kid.  However, she couldn't trust the company to Chairman Romeo (embezzlement/slush fund) or Crazy Aunt (... well crazy ) so she made a deal with Hye Won that she could rejoin the family and company in a leadership role. So long as the company prospered she could live in the mansion and raise her son, but if the company stock fell more than 40%, Chairman Romeo got full custody ... and Hye Won agreed in writing

I went through the notorious Princess Aurora, not exactly all, a few episodes in the beginning and last few episodes.
Surprise, Chase and ML were in the show. 😂 They killed off ML. But I skipped more than 100 eps so I didn’t catch the other killings. I hope they didn’t kill off the dog.

In Princess Aurora, they did kill the dog ... :tears:
