To be honest, they cut the series in half. So it was clear they had to focus on one storyline and since WangXian sells the best. I was surprised they could keep the pace still intact the first 6 episodes. They did a good job. When your focus is more on the side characters you should stay with the OV. The SE feels more like the novel who did focus on WangXian too.

 

I would call this fan service. Who cares about the real plot behind, we just wants to see more or unseen cuts of thems.. (or only me)

Also, does anyone know if there will be a season 2 to The Untamed? I ask because it seemed odd to leave the cunning younger half brother coming lose where he could still cause troubles especially now that his older half brother is dead and he wanted the role Lan Zhang ended up getting in cultivation.

Nope, there will not be one. But are you watching a different drama? hahah. Who si the cunning younger half brother? Nie Huai Shang? He is not cunning and all he wanted is to revenge for his elder brother. Maybe you can give me name and we will help to explain to you.

OMG.. This pic is so funny. It was mentioned in one of the sub- chapter, wen ying said Lan Qiren is like an angry farmer that lost his premium cabbage to a pig.

I think he does. He was kind of polite to director nie . He could have treated him as cold as JC but he didnt.  The most important to LZ is WWX is back other than that, doesn matter.

I think those were the few shot in the beginning stage. In one of the interview, XZ said there were days they have to shot "16 years before"  in the day and 16 years later " in the night.  I guess it is still hard for him to adjust himself for that. I could be wrong hahhaha..

OMG Same here. I am thankful to the director Chen to include this little part. This is one of the thing that LWJ did during that 13 years without WWX. At first, LWJ wanted to put ah Yuan in the ground like WWX did to ah yuan when he was little  "growing carrot" but he didnt. LWJ just put him together with the rabbits...
