Writer Kim Eun Hee talked about Signal Season 2 in recent interview, she said she will try her best and work hard to pave the way for the sequel in some way before she will retire.

Well, who knows if I will be interesting in kdramas at that time.

So is S2 confirmed or not? I’m quite confused.

It’s been ages since the last season and I can’t wait that long anymore. I hope that we’ll get to hear more updates for S2 and hopefully, an official airing date.

I have started to watch Voice 3 and and progressing down to 2 if it is interesting enough...  yes I am watching it backwards, instead of starting from 1-3...  lol

S3 is the 2nd part of S2. I don’t know how the experience will turn out.  S2 and S3 are still related to S4. S1 is pure detective story however, beginning S2 is when things get darker.

I followed the Voice series because S1 was really good! I hope you watch all the other seasons, too! Voice series belongs to my list of Top 3 best crime-thriller k-dramas of all time.

I enjoyed this and thought Lee Gyu-Hyeong performance was awesome.

It was weird how everyone kept calling this place Vimo Island, when it's obviously Jeju Island. Did they not want to defame Jeju Island, saying that it's full of evil cults and killers?

Doesn't Derek have a job at LAPD? Does he just get to hang out in Korea as long as he wants and shoot guns anytime he wants to just like policemen do in the U.S.?

Well, they must have their reasons as to why they need to change its name.

Btw, even without officially announcing S5, I believe that the next season is going to be thrilling and exciting. I think that it will surpass the excitement that S2 & S3 gave. I hope that they announce a new season very soon and I hope that the original actors will remain. The new IT guy’s exposure is only minimal and I hope that he will not be replaced again next season.

I’m already rooting for S5 even before this season ended. 14 episodes are just too short and I already have this feeling that the ending will be a cliffhanger just as they did with S2 with only 12 episodes. We’ve already discovered the disturbing reality of KKJ’s ability and everything’s going darker and darker. Finally, they will also be able to connect it to S1 as it would be a good way to conclude the series although KKJ’s real backstory started during DKW’s time.

Also, c’mon, not all of GTT’s captains died. MJH is still alive and I really hope that we’ll get to see MJH again (even if it’s a cameo) before they conclude the series!!!

    Spoiler

I noticed that KKJ was hesitant to follow the woman when she was invited to join her. I felt like she was hypnotized or something? She wouldn’t give up that easily. But when she went outside, she looked sane to me although she was probably shaking or something. Was she hypnotized or was it her own will to follow the woman? She was still looking at the building and still a bit hesitant to enter the car. Idk what’s going on with her.

Yeah, why the switch from tvN to OCN? OCN dramas are more toward detective dramas, lots of blood and gore.

Is the villain a continuation from Voice3? we saw a backview of a woman playing a piano in the closing scene of Voice3.

I couldn't recognise that the diver instructor was a cop in the first series......i mistook him for Jang Hyuk until I googled. He had such refined looks then......

That haenyeo lady diver case is breath-taking:omg:. Is she really a haenyeo? There were so many scenes of her submerged in water......it looks like a single take.

I must admit, after being a fan of Voice 1 to 3, I watch the last minute of last night's episode before sitting through the entire episode......didn't want to watch any gruesome ending.

ONE THING I AM DYING TO ASK>>>> do GPS work underwater? I thought only sonar waves can travel underwater.

Same question. I don’t know if it’s just me but the vibe of the series changed when it switched to tvN. It felt different when it was on OCN. The OCN vibe is more engaging and the plots are better for me but it’s just my opinion.

This season is good but I got bored in some ways. There’s not enough tension built and the plot is just going around. With only 4 episodes left, I wish the story-telling will become better and the series will not end disappointingly.

Plus, haven’t heard the Voice theme song in this season yet. My, it feels like this season is not part of the series. :(

  5. It’s so nice to be back!!!

Am I the only who have noticed that some of the background music of this season sound like a recycled one from the other tvN shows (or they used the bgm from the other shows and made some tweaks to make it distinct)?

Anyway, I wonder what made the switch to tvN (I know that OCN and tvN are sister companies). :)

  6. AHHHHHHHHHH EP 16 BEEN SERVING US SOME REAL THROWBACK!!!

    Spoiler

FINALLY SAW YOUNG EUN-SOO, LEE CHANG-JOON, PROSECUTOR YOON AND KIM HO-SUB AGAIN!

I literally laughed when Hwang Si-mok tried to set the spoon on the table. It was so funny seeing him learning normal things. :joy:

    Spoiler

And ohh, I love how Han Yeo-jin went to Mr. Yoon right away in order to stop his possible suicide. It was so sad yet the care and empathy of HYJ for his former colleague is so admirable.

    Spoiler

AND FINALLY, OUR FAVORITE WEASEL IS BACK!!! I FINALLY GET TO SEE HIS LOVELY SMIRK AGAIN.

SDJ’s wife is so pretty though.

I feel like there are still alot of questions unanswered in this season for me. I feel like it was a rushed ending (though idk for others). Ep 14 was still one of the best episodes ever, it’s like the climax of the story.

I’m not satisfied with the ending (because I think I expected way better than this) but then this series is supposed to be a “multi-season” so I am expecting another season, okay??? *I’m watching you, writernim. :naughty:*

Finally!! HSM has learned how to smile. That was one of the sexiest smiles he ever gave. :relaxed:

  7. Random thought:

If we were in the protagonists’ positions, will we even take the same route as them? If we were in their shoes, can we cope with the stress of looking for our colleague and at the same time the killer? Looking how hesitant the kidnapper was before admitting his crime, can we even think properly given that we are losing time trying to find the body of our colleague, not knowing whether he is still alive or dead? If we were in their shoes, can we really follow our moral ethics or just take what is being thrown at us (KWC and Hanjo Eng’g accounting fraud)? Can we really survive the kind of environment they were in (corruption w/in the organization & connections to giant entities e.g. Hanjo group)?

    Yaaay... 8.831%!!!

This is another concern, will the Segok police case will have its closure? Is it murder or suicide?
Now it seems that it's suicide from the handwriting analysis but is this the final conclusion? :o

The scratches on Capt. Baek’s forehand might hint us that it wasn’t suicide. It seemed like Sgt. Song was trying to breathe, hence he held onto Capt. Baek’s hand for help but instead, someone from behind holding the rope was choking him.

The writer tells us what would happen when the individual and organisation care more about their “rights” than the people “right”.  I love this writer so much. Such insightful and powerful writing.

I love how you describe writernim’s craftmanship in this series. Indeed, this is the reason why I love this type of drama always because there is always an underlying message in it (not to say that other genres don’t have life learnings in the end). And it also moves you to think, like you’re part of the investigation and is investigating on your own. Like we’re part of the team somewhere behind the scene backing the protagonists up.

She also wrote a series called “Life” where Si-mok, Lee Chang-joon and Prosecutor Yoon were in.

I have seen people suspecting Jang Geon but I never bothered with that. But today's episode made me to. I felt he was deliberately delaying SDJ'S rescue. And anyone noticed the bruises on his face when he met Kim Ju Heong in the detention cell. Also, that fake witness gave a weird look to Jang Geon.

I’m not suspecting Jang Geon but with the recent episode where he just stared silently at KHJ in the prison cell and then KHJ broke into tears, that creeped me out like wth JG?

Great directing, cinematography and acting this episode.
however I don’t understand how the kid could do everything himself? Attack, kidnapped and dumped DJ who has much bigger body built than him? I need an logical explanation. How could he know that area has no camera. I feel a little bit annoyed if they close the kidnapping case just like that. I need better explanation.
Same with Segok case and all the scratches on the police hands and investigation at the crime scene....for nothing?
Someone helps me cos i feel a bit disappointed with those illogical things, acceptable with other drama but not with Stranger!!

I remember in episode 7 where Jang Geon said that with SDJ’s bodybuilt, the attacker must be bigger and stronger than him or there must be at least 2 persons who took care of SDJ.

There must’ve been an accomplice but idk anymore.

I feel happy watching episode 14 because you can see how determined the police and prosecution to get the warrant and imprison SDJ’s kidnapper when KHJ’s father went to the higher-ups for help (even though I know some are taking advantage of the situation and are actually an accomplice to the incident).

    Yes it is.

But most likely it’s their executive producers have the last say of things. They are the one who gives the production the money. So need to have the green light from them first.

I see. So, it’s hard to point fingers on the production team really. Thanks for the clarification!

Here's the re-broadcast edit - no blood. Why did they remove it no idea.

Why do they have to re-edit it? <_<

I mean, they should stick with the ending because that’s what was originally broadcasted. It’s so inappropriate to change something just to appease people. If Kang Woo died, leave him be.

  15. I feel everyone’s sentiments here. Indeed, Voice 3 ended on a low note as it was not what the fans have been expecting. The story’s pacing is too slow and characters weren’t developed until the last minute. Even at the last episodes, characters weren’t fully developed because revelations were too sudden and the time was too short.

It breaks my heart, too, that there will be no more Do Kang Woo in the next season. Voice 4’s future is too bleak since most of us are devastated by this season’s story. I remember LJW saying he’s very keen on reprising his role. Do Kang Woo’s fate was too fuzzy until the writer confirmed that DKW is definitely dead.

I’m still hoping that there will be a way to resurrect DKW’s character for the next season. And if so, I hope that the story will revive the heart and soul in the stories in S1 and S2.

I just finished watching the finale. Am really upset with the way KW died. But reading that BJS might be there who shot him, that might be more acceptable. But still, the Elite Team did not have to laser point him. Do they not have the intelligence to assess the situation, like maybe from the position that KW is saving Kang from Kaneki? Were they not informed that the dangerous person they need to be catching is Kaneki??

The Elite Team warned Kang Woo not to make another move as he was caught strangling Kaneki, or else they’ll shoot him. He further strangled Kaneki as to trigger the team to shoot him. If Kang Woo wants to be saved, he would’ve let Kaneki go, but he didn’t. Clearly a suicide mission.

Finally able to see Kousuke’s backstory. It’s finally over tomorrow.

I’ll be missing Voice 3. It’s the only K-drama I’m able to watch livestream even if I don’t understand Hangul. This drama made me so excited and frustrated because I have to wait for another weekend to watch it. To all the casts and crew, thank you so much! You made my life a bit lighter when my problems are heavy and are wearing me down. Thank you for giving me another reason to enjoy and appreciate life, that there is always something to look forward even when the future seems dull. Thank you so much!! Kudos to the team of Voice 3 and the writer of the Voice series. You guys deserve all the appreciation and credits! Hope y’all can read this.
