I wish the Chinese tv production would make an exception with this drama by releasing all the attended episodes of 10-18 episodes or make an extension version of at least more than an hour and fifteen time length with all the miss scenes to make up the poor editing. Before it was aired, the OG writer was victim for a false report that her book was plagiarized from one of her previous works. Despite it was settle and the accused had paid heavy, it was the cause of the delay of the drama

Hi I'm back after my long absent. I enjoyed the 2nd season of the tales of the nine fox and this time, it focused more on the brotherly love. Hahahaha! even Rang can't handle the craziness of Hong-Ji. After seeing her in the Taxi 2, I am so happy that the actress doing more action dramas since Iris.

My theory was right along. Ga On trusted mentor was working with Suh Ah all along and they manipulated him against Yo Han due to his resemblance of his late brother. That woman is truly the devil wearing Prada as Ga On should have known of her cruelty by now but still being easily manipulate. All this time, Yo Han was protecting Elijah who was responsible for the church fire and Ga On blew it due to the evil woman manipulations.
Now he lost everything and unwillingly destroy a family he had grown to love and care like his own. Let's see how he will try to repent his actions in the final episode

My apologies for the late reviews.
Episode 10 is better than I expected because this is a subject matter that is currently happening in the US especially with its governments and as a woman, I am glad that Jin Joo plays a crucial part by voicing that we women don't belong to anyone during the trial.
For once, Soo Hyun was likable in this one. Collaborating with Yo Han and Ga On to catch the social media influencer. She at least listens to Ga On that Yo Han is not like the other rich high people when she questioned him spending time at his home.
Sun Ah really didn't know when to back down. Her trigger was the mere mentioning of her previous life as a maid. Yo Han did repeatedly warn her but she still kept interfering his plans just for him due to her twisted obsession. What separates from her and our judge was that YH is still struggling with his lack of empathies but still prioritizes his niece's well being to halt his plans to have diner with her, the maid and Ga Oh and enjoy the meal together while Sun Ah pretty much focuses on herself, possibly manipulating people, especially women who have similar background as her, to gain more power. That is bit of the episode shows she now wants to kill YH for the humiliations.
On the funny side, Ga Oh painfully discovers why the family avoiding eating the food the maid has prepared. And Elijah helped out with the security breach.

Sorry I haven't been active because I just got my health results from my doctor and right now trying to focus in getting better. I'll post my thoughts from last week later tomorrow.
All I can say is in the 1st part of the episode is that Soo Hyun is really annoying and way out of the line threaten to shoot Yohan when he tried to choke the guy instead of trying of calming down his temper. She is really looking for any excuses to do it due to her obsessions towards the judge with Elijah watching. I hated that she had no ounce of remorse or regret of endangering the young teenage girl and her uncle had every right to be angry. She is showing a horrible example of being the officer of the law. Something I see lot these days where I live.
I love Ga On being the peacemaker in this episode especially mending the relationship between Elijah, Yohan and the maid. Glad he convince Elijah to call her uncle over dinner during his planning and he agreed choosing her request over his vengeance.
Yohan really is impressive in showing Ga On the true nature of their nemesis they'll face. He finally faces the fraud who ruined his life and saw that he has now a wife and daughter during their interrogations. His true face is revealed after set the cabin on fire choosing money over his family, proven that he hasn't changed at all. Yohan showed Ga On that it was his own actions that save the wife and daughter now they saw the reality of the man they thought they knew. A great closure for Ga On chapter with him returning all the stolen money to their rightful owners.

I was right, Sun Ha was a power money grabber as a little maid back then and she still is including her twisted love and admiration for Yo Han. I bet she made up her hypothesis about killing his own brother and Yo Han let her believe it due to her psychotic state. I bet he didn't add her in the list in the end because he wants to deal her himself.
Ga On is still quite naïve and his police friend made a horrible move questioning Elijah about the documents without her consent nor with Yo Han as her guardian when he invited her. Yo Han gave a taste to the young judge his own medicine when he revealed all Soo Hyun background. He let his fear and assumptions get the best of him about his chief without knowing that he was manipulated by the SRF and Sun Ha. In the end, he decided to stand Yo Han during the trial along with their colleague as a team.
Poor Elijah, she assumed her uncle killed her parents due to the file stored in his computer and the stories the maid told her. No wonder they had a hot and cold relationship. She seems to have suffer anxiety issues when her uncle didn't come home on time judging by her clutching of her bear. Despite their dysfunctional, both of them still care for each other being the only ones left of their family.
Guess the next episode is Ga On facing what happened to his parents with the fraud being linked to the foundation based on Yohan discoveries. While Yo Han methods are cruel, he was brutally honest to Ga On and showed him the undeniable truth of the enemies he's been fighting. That is when if Ga On is ready to face them as someone bound by law or for revenge.

As much as it upsetting, Yo han was right that Ga On should have asked if he could take Elijah out first especially meeting his police friend and was rightfully upset because his enemies or the law enforcements would use her to get through him. They may be dysfunctional, but he is still her family and is very protective of her.
The ending was satisfying, his target all fell into his trap and our judge or team judges are ready to take them on

So Sun Ah is using her past connection with Yo Han to thrall him off her trails and possibly trying to turn society against him. I love the fact that our judge isn't bothered by her presence much only sees her as someone who is standing his way. He only shows some of his soft side to Ga On, Elijah and the cat.
Something tells me that the chief judge might had known Isaac in the past and encountered his doppelgänger as a rebellious high schooler then set him up to take down Yo-Han who is believe to be a monster in disguise. For whatever the reasons, he hated the judge.

Saw the little cute banter when Yo-Han came to the kitchen and his butler voicecom showed him the message Ga On left for him while he was preparing his meal. Ga On is already a nagging partner and learn how to counter Yo Han words before he acts. Yo Han is amused
SpoilerSun Ha kidnapped Yo Han and took him to a place resembling his mansion. It turns out she was the little maid who cared for him. She then kisses him but it seems our lead male is unmoved by her action.

I have to say I love this concept with the main female lead as the antagonist instead of the love interest or the heroine of the drama. After all this time, I wanted to see the lead woman being the main nemesis or the Dragon lady role in the Korean drama.
It seems the Devil Judge focuses on the bromance and the chemistry of the 2 lead male leads with Jin Young playing 2 characters, one who had a strong impact on Jisung's character motivations from the past and the other being his character foil in the present due to his resemblance and naivety to the world. Something we usually see in the heroine role.
Yo Han is the perfect mix of a calm collective judge who unleash his hysterical predator side when he hunts down his targets. He's a troubled sociopathic person due to his father abuses and his brother is the only family who encourages him. Those arrogant rotten riches destroyed his brother dream, his family and their future and he is determine to avenge him by giving them the same karmas. That is when Ga On comes along and unknowingly has the spitting image of his deceased brother causes him to doubt himself.
I hope there is no clichés such as Ga On is related to him.

Ga On had no business nosing into the police investigations. That's his friend's profession. He's a judge apprentice who is trained to oversee the laws and the justice system. He should have gather evidences, analyzed them and waited to send them to her as a spy before jumping to conclusion based on hypothesis from the so proclaimed witnesses.

I think Jinyoung is having quite a blast playing 2 characters in Devil Judge, I predict that we'll see both them playing on the same screen possibly in the mid-finale. It's not easy playing both roles at the same time.
Ga On first meeting with Elijah was obviously bad due to his resemblance of her late father. I love their little cute team-up calling her uncle Ajahshi in episode 4. I kinda miss a little adult simple comedy in the mature series.
Yo Han behaviors are reasonable. I had a hunch he was a trouble sociopath and it was due to his father abuses and negligent and hatred towards his birth mother that made him frustrated and unable to react to certain circumstances or events. I can see him taking out some of his father's favorite maids and dogs were his ways to show his anger towards him. His brother was the only family he could rely on, who encourage him to pursue his career. showed him love and kindness.
Yo Han goal is to take revenge towards those who wronged his idol, crushed his dreams and destroyed his family legacy. They obviously don't recognized him as the nobody who saw them fled for their own safety that cost his niece's legs. The irony of his rise to power gave him the sweet karma he bestows on them.
Ga On went to far with his judgements based on the rumors or testimonies he heard. He and his friend should do more investigation on the incident instead of going after his past.

After 2 episodes, I love the story of the drama. A former judge turned writer in the production team wrote an excellent depiction of how a real judge should act in court. The lead judge character is a mystery 3 dimensional. I love the rise of dark anti hero role that is on the rise right now. I'll post more my impression of the 2 weeks episodes when I'm not to busy in life

The 15th episode is a painful experience to watch. The force confession is so similar to the one from Memory of Murder where the 2 cops tried to pin a pervert for the murders until the 3rd learned an important clue about the killer, looked at the suspects features realizing he wasn't the culprit. It also showed how the corrupt police covered the crimes with false confessions and didn't bother do their job properly because of their greed and laziness.
