  1. "It is written here: I will go this far just to see you"  Wow, that last scene was so romantic and heart fluttering!   Naksu must have been so surprised that he was so straightforward about what's going on between them...Anyway, I like that they are taking their time in showing how the romance is progressing, and it's clear that Naksu will be reluctant to give in, at least for a while. But I don't mind to wait more because their interactions are gold.

As for the rest of things happening, the servant contest was super fun. And Maid Kim scenes are so funny too...Master Lee seems to be smitten with her (I bet he'll be sporting that red scarf at all times), and I hope Park Jin catches wind of this and gets jealous.

Well, as much as I enjoy when the drama focus on romance, I hope that next week we will have more action. Uk wants to become the next Gwanju and maybe will end up king. But it's not clear which are Naksu's plans...I guess she wants Uk to help her to restore her power and later will look for the people responsible for the death of her family. But it would be nice to be reminded of that and see some progress, so it doesn't feel that Naksu forgot about her goals...By the way, Maid Kim said that Jang Gang's books were in Uk's room, maybe he wrote something about the ice stone and the alchemy of souls?

  2. I loved all the comedy and romance that we got in Ep.9 :D

Maid Kim is adorable, and so pretty!! Her scenes with Master Lee were hilarious. Hope Park Jin sees them together and gets jealous. That guy needs a push or he won't ever make a move on her...

But the best thing in this episode was the indirect confession from Jang Uk through Maid Kim. :fullofhearts:

Then Mu Deok kept reflecting on the egg and everything that happened, and at the same time Uk was just being adorable and saying that he misses her...awwww, I ship them so much, let them reunite soon, haha!

By the way, not sure I'm understanding what is going on with Bu Yeon. It seems that Bu Yeon was captured by Jin Mu in the past so they could use her to unlock the ice stone, and maybe she run away and took a new name to hide, and lived as Mu Deok. But why? What was her goal?, she could have gone back to her family home... Because Mu Deok is definitely Bu Yeon. Naksu shifted souls with the Jin's family daughter.

And that friend of Mu Deok/Bu Yeon? She might try to impersonate Bu Yeon if she has enough knowledge about her...She can also play a role in exposing Naksu since she might realize it's not the same person that she used to know.

Yes, it's totally possible for her and Jun Ho to fall in love and start a relationship. While autistic people generally dislike physical contact, a lot (or even most of them) are happy with physical contact with people they feel comfortable with.

Then there is hope for Jun Ho and Young Woo, haha!!  I don´t know any autistic person and I'm not familiar with their problems for socializing. Not sure if they are interested in having a partner or if they are able to provide the partner with sufficient feedback and demonstrations of love, so the partner doesn't get frustrated in the long term... Good to know that the series is not being too unrealistic about autistic behaviour.

  4. After episode 6, I'm wondering about the romance and the couples that we'll have by the end:

    - Is it Jun Ho + Young Woo a possibility? He doesn't seem taken aback by her disability. But I wonder if they will be compatible. Young Woo seems to avoid physical contact. And as she herself said, she lives in a "world of one", only by herself and letting other people in might be difficult.

    - Su Yeon + ?? I like their mentor sunbae for her. He seems to be a sweet and thoughtful guy, and quite handsome and stylish too ;)  She deserves at least that much, she's too adorable to be paired with some insensitive brat.

    - Lawyer Kwon... He's being an idiot so far, so I don't mind if he's left out of any pairings. Young Woo's friend deserves better. Although I see how their personalities might be a good match.

    - Young Woo's parents. I think they will be back together and the mother will try to redeem herself.

Looking at Jung So Min vlog probably she already done filming this drama.

That's a pity because JSM's been doing an amazing job as Mu Deok. She's a great actress and has chemistry with all the actors. Plus, she's so fun. I hadn't watched her dramas before but now I'm a fan of hers :)

On the other hand, I was also intrigued in the first episodes by the charismatic original Naksu, so I'm happy that we will see more of her. Hope the powerful badass Naksu from the beginning will be back.

That being said, what does this mean for the story? I guess Mu Deok will recover her body and Naksu will go back to hers. Maybe Naksu's body was not burned and it was a trick, or maybe the ice stone has the power to bring it back...Then, Jang Uk who was attracted by Mu Deok's eyes and personality, I'm sure will keep in love with the original Naksu. And I wonder if they will hint a loveline between Yul and real Mu Deok...or with the Crown Prince. Maybe the Crown Prince will fall for Mu Deok and retire, so he doesn't have to fight with Uk anymore.

Anyway, hope that Uk and Naksu end up as king and queen of Daeho! I love power couples.

  6. Not sure about Mudeok being the ice stone. The combined energies of the Jin family's daughter and Naksu could be enough to make her powerful for breaking the mirror, for example.  What I understood is that the Queen has the ice stone and she's producing those balls that allow to perform the alchemy of souls. Still, there are so many loose ends and so many possibilities for the story: we don't know yet about Master Lee's intentions, Jang Gang is still missing and we don't know what he has been doing all those years, what's going on with Mu Deok original soul, and will Naksu be able to live in her new body if they find the ice stone?

Anyway, I'm glad that Naksu learnt about her father being a soul shifter, so she can get over her vengeance plans and have other goals...and focus on teaching Uk, heee! ;)  Btw, they were supercute, when Uk gave her the egg and she confessed the treason so she could save him (even sacrificing herself), and when Naksu was so relieved that Uk was not a soul shifter and cried... They are inseparable already and I love that. :fullofhearts:

On a side note, Park Jin and Maid Kim are adorable and I hope their romance escalates in the coming episodes...

I don't think I can take Mudeok betraying Uk.

I wouldn't be too worried. That might be her first instinct in a situation of danger, after so many years living as a fighter and a survivor. But if she does betray him, I bet she will feel remorse immediately and come back to rescue him. That's something I'd like to see, haha! Her feelings for him would be exposed.

I don't want another Mr. Queen like ending where the ML falls for the soul inside the FL i.e fake queen but ended up with the real queen I find it unfair and upsetting somehow.

Exactly my thoughts. It seems that Mu Deok's soul didn't go anywhere and she will end up claiming her body. And what will happen to Naksu then? I hope there is some magic that they can perform to bring her body back and she can end together with Uk. I don't want a sad ending!!

    BUT..

    I STILL SHIP THESE TWO!!

Awww, they are very cute. And they have that beautiful story back in their teens. It's so easy to ship them...But I ship her with Uk too. It's clear that he cares about her already, and the tree scene was so romantic and heart fluttering. If I were Naksu I'd have problems to make up my mind and decide which of them I like more... :D

Anyway, can't wait for episode 6 and see what happens next!! The story is getting more interesting with the arrival of the new master. Also, it seems that Mudeok's soul is still inside her body, who knows what that means...maybe Naksu is doomed and will have to die anyway in the end? And, will the crown prince try to steal Mudeok from Uk?

  10. Aaahhh!! I can't wait till next week's episodes!

I'm loving the rapport between all the characters. I also like that Uk and Naksu are not immediately infatuated with each other...so far they seem quite cold and only keeping the other around for their own agendas. They will struggle a lot when feelings start to grow between them, hehe! :D

And I have so many questions... I cannot guess whether Uk will be the king's or Jang Gang's son. If he's Jang Gang's son, maybe he will turn against Naksu if he learns how she plans to kill all the mage house heads. I also wonder what's the story behind Naksu's parents being assassinated by the mages, since Park and the others do not seem to be that evil to kill innocent people.

As for where this is going, I guess Uk will end up fighting for being the next king/mage boss. But, will he keep his promise and release Naksu's energy when he is powerful enough? And I don't see Naksu killing all those people she promised to eliminate, and will she be able to keep living on that body or she will die in the end? Doesn't seem like she has any options...

“Alchemy Of Souls” Stars Talk About Their Real-Life Friendship

LOL!! They totally look like a boyband

Episode 3 was great, btw. Uk already started to be a bit jealous and petty when Mudeok tries to get close to Yul. :D And I like their banter...hope we will have plenty of fun with training scenes in the next episodes, with Naksu being a merciless teacher.

  12. After episode 2 I'm still liking this a lot.  The drama is by no means perfect and there are some edition cuts that make it seem like they are rushing and cutting relevant scenes. But I'm enjoying it a lot. It's quite atmospheric and immersive, with the magical country set up. And I like the leads and how they are so flawed. Even if Naksu is a cold blooded assassin, the drama is still interesting to watch... I can understand her torment and support her quest for revenge. Although, since she's a killer and technically a villain, I'm not expecting a traditional happy ending. Plus, her real body was already burned and I guess it's a matter of time that she starts having problems with the borrowed one. She has no body to come back to. I'm bracing myself because they make a cute couple and I'm sure I'll root for them when they fall for each other...

  13. I enjoyed the first episode a lot! :D  It was fun and engaging. I love that the leads are already tied in some way, although they are reluctant... So I'm expecting plenty of hijinks, teasing and banter between them. Also, I find the story refreshing and original. So far this is off to a promising start and seems to be perfect light summer watch that I was looking for. Can't wait till next episode!!
