Did I ever tell you guys I visited Korea twice? once in 2010 with my cousin and my friend during a 10 week backpacking trip. made some friends there and visited again in 2012 of January. Although I am from Canada, I found it pretty cold at that time! I had samgyupsal as much as I could. Have any of you girls been there yet? It's such a fun city.

hey ladies.. I'm back on the road, living that hotel life.. Glad to see the thread is alive and well! I tried keeping up earlier but it was my brother's wedding this past Saturday, then I flew out on Monday. This will help pass the time for sure lol so keep talking!! I just saw that picture of GuiGui kissing a statue... she looks like she has experience.. about 3 months worth?? lol..

Thoughts: she is really quiet in this episode and most of it, she is busy looking at the photos. instead of her being the comedian, it seems like he is actually trying to make her laugh. he does a kwanghee face, he swallows helium from the balloon and does a version of his "i'll be back" song in helium voice. he takes charge and does most of the entertaining with GO while she sort of hangs around. It is interesting that Taec's friends are mostly quite low key and chilled out characters. Birds of a feather flock together? GO is such a chilled out guy that they look all quite comfortable chilling. I actually watched the other couple scenes and what struck me was that we didn't really have a fight/argument scene with TaecGui and I thought,"why?" so, Taec is actually quite a sweety and does not get upset too easily. Even when she broke his Gundam, he didn't go all bazooka on her. GuiGui is also quite chilled and low key and lets him have his way when he needs to and laughs off the awkward times..so there are no genuine fights. just fun teasing. what do you all think? was it because they were in the early stages of a getting to know you relationship? why do you think they never fought? -

But yea, saw the bombardment of GIFs too lol. Thinking back, I first watched episode 15 when I woke up, wish I didn't.. got me depressed!. And the part where GuiGui refused the last hug at first and had tears in her eyes, I dunno how that guy did it man, I would've been tearing up pretty bad, lol. -
Oh my gosh girls. I work for another 20 mins and I finally got a chance to look thru my phone and on YouTube and see there's a new video. I have to skip the 200 comments I haven't read yet so I see no spoilers... And I can't watch at work cause I'm too embarrassed to watch in front of all my coworkers. I can't show I have a soft side lmao.

She's quite a unique character and we probably wouldn't know how to react to her seemingly random and spontaneous outbursts but his mini episodes of mental breakdown made for great TV. She made a great impression on him and we could see as the show progressed that he was really warming up to her not just bearing the brunt of her pranks but dishing out a few himself not to mention initiating a few "skinships".... 14 days is a short time to fall in love but they did say it was between like and love but leaning more towards love. in this digital age, distance is getting shorter so i think it's going to be more of their busy schedules as both of their careers seem to be taking off. I'm not saying that they weren't popular in the first place but I think they definitely got more attention after doing the show..... Now, for the breakup. It really peeves me to hear other comments that it was just acting. I mean, hello? are we watching the same show? So thank you, for sharing that, from a guy's point of view, that you were touched by her tears, that it was sincere and heartbreaking to see. I mean she was bawling her eyes out, for crying out loud, pun intended. She was breathing through her mouth, she was so choked up with emotion she could barely talk. Seriously!! This brings me to my question.... what do you think about Taec's comment on breaking up... "rather than breaking up in tears, isn't it courtesy to say goodbye with a smile"

There was some sort of connection, they were at least a bit attracted to each other since the beginning. But I wouldn't think too much into what he said. Just physically since he's so tall, and she's so petite, it probably looked like 'father/daughter' than a couple, when wiping her nose.-- he initially says she is a child at heart and there are no girls like her in his peer group -- your thoughts? was he saying that she was childish? was he annoyed by her energizer bunny enthusiasm? (You sort of answered that but I will keep that Q anyway)I wouldn't say annoyed, maybe more taken aback... he definitely was having fun. Taec seems to be laid back about things, so to have this little ball of energy running around could be a bit overwhelming (but not in a bad way)
-- is he attracted to her from the beginning? is he quasi-flirting? Ya he was attracted, a little bit. For myself to be honest, though I did find her cute, I wasn't totally into her at first. not sure what quasi-flirting means lol but they were a little flirtatious to eachother

And I'm sure he did too. Seeing the difference from running around in the snow like a little kid, to her being a bit more professional doing photos, yea he probably started to become more and more attracted. Especially if they have to be in extremely close proximity to each other. It was also being a 'good model' that he was able to look at her and not flinch or look away though.
-- there are these moments when he is sort of gobsmacked by his friends; Kwang Hee asks if they kissed, Nickhun asks if she has used the bed and she replies, "together?" -- what's your guy's point of view from watching those scenes?Ya I would tease my friends if they had a new girlfriend. Probably a bit more perverted than asking if they have kissed alraedy though lol... I don't think you girls really want to know what guys talk about in this department.
-- one of his team mates said that Taec was bragging about Gui Gui to them and so they were all curious about her. they all seem to be quietly observing the two of them. -- your impressions? Ya if someone bragged about their girlfriend, and we finally got to meet her. We would see how she is, it would probably take the day to really see if she's 'cool or not'. She was very warm and hospitable to them so the atmosphere was good. if it were opposite they probably wouldn't have talked or joked much
-- is he really irritated with her mentioning nickhun when both are aware that this is a show?he figured she wanted to make him jealous, he played along at first, but I wouldn't say irritated though, probably patiently waiting for his turn... lol
-- his response to her dance and card proposal... was he touched? was he embarrassed? was he surprised? embarrassed, yes, touched, probably, surprised? he probably knew something was up... but not a dance.. in front of everyone lol.
-- your impressions/thoughts of their skinship? faking it? or they want to? GuiGui seems to initiate contact which is something I like, that's probably one thing Taec isn't use to with other girls. She grabs him, hugs him, and he notices. But for him he's probably not comfortable at first to do it back, he will get close and maybe 'accidentally' touch to see her reaction. such as when making phone calls to the house warming, He had his arm behind her, and maybe waited to see if she would do anything.
-- moments where you thought, "yup this guy is into her!" Jeju Island, 3 days together you could see how comfortable and close they got. And you could tell Taec loosened up a lot, (perhaps cause of stretching? lol jk) There was a lot of teasing and touching, playing and holding hands everywhere they went. That's not acting at all, they were having fun and enjoyed each other's company.
-- the antis and hates seem to think that they are more like brother and sister or more like father and daughter etc -- your reaction? I don't hold hands with my sister. lol. It was more friendly in the beginning... but I believe Jeju island is where it became more like a couple
-- in the letter, he says, "let us be honest, do you feel something when you see me?" Is that something a guy would say just to a girl for the show's sake? Like I said about guys being self conscious. If they like a girl.. usually they don't know how she feels about them, and don't want to just ask. As a proposal he got his chance to ask though.
-- last but not least, in ep 15 BTS, right before they sign off, she is asked to give a message to the views and she cheekily says saranghae while he is busy staring at her that he forgets the camera (just look below, I have pasted it for your convenience)-- your thoughts!hmm.. this is a tough one. I couldn't guess what was going through his mind here. It seems he was holding back a laugh, or a smile.. But if I was him, and she just said that and laughed. I would've thought "is that it? was that to me or the audience? why are you laughing? ya I'm going to miss you.." lol -
Ok! Time to break my silence.... Since that one guy has posted, I know there's at least one other guy who's on here as well... lol. I'm just a tad older too, so I thought I'd give you my perspective since ya'll wanted a guy's view.
I've been lurking on this thread since the beginning. I've been watching WGM since it started, and usually follow the couples that I like best. But in the last year or so I didn't really watch anymore, from being too busy with work and I didn't really like the couples enough to follow. But BY FAR, this couple has been my fave. It more has to do because of GuiGui, she's definitely a breath of fresh air, and exactly what taec described her as.. bright and full of energy. My line of work is usually on the road, living hotel to hotel so I've had a lot of time on the laptop trying to find things to help the day go by. But I don't even remember how I came across GWGM at all, I remember that 2 episodes came out by the time I did start following it, and it sure made my week go by quick anticipating Fridays, lol.
I've seen comments on youtube about Taec being 'cold' and what not, but I can see where his reaction or non reaction to things come from. He said himself that he's never been with a girl who acted like GuiGui. She's a bit of a prankster, and a child at heart and for myself, I don't think I know anyone remotely close to being like her either. So if I were to be in this 'relationship' with her, and she did the things she did to me... I wouldn't even know how to react to it. I'd be a bit speechless even. It's easy for us to say 'oh do this, oh why didn't he do that' but we aren't the ones there to see it actually happening, or being done. For the most part we are watching it from computer, of course it's easy to figure it out sitting comfortably in our room. But to try to quickly think of something to say or do as it just happened before our eyes is totally different. Also I'm sure Taec, like all guys, kind of was self conscious about the way he acts around her. He tried joking around early, such as when he said she ate his heart and she didn't have much of a reaction except to ask if he was ok. He probably thought "k well she doesn't find that funny, and that's my sense of humor... guess I won't be making those kind of jokes again"
From reading that they saw each other a total of 14 days, I don't think that was enough time for them to 'fall in love' as a lot of people may think. I believe with too many days in between without seeing each other, the feelings they did have probably slowly faded until filming again.
The break up episode is probably the most memorable part for me, and is really the only way I remember GuiGui. Sincere and heartbreaking, from seeing her laugh and smile so much to crying so much. I bet if Taec does think about her, it will be of her crying. And it's not necessarily a bad thing, I actually think it's so cute when girls cry over things (sounds mean) but it's true. But for guys, it just resonates more when they see something, we have thick skulls, sometimes words or 'hints' don't get through that skull of ours. But if we see it, then we kind of are like 'oh crap...' So when he asks 'are you crying?? He probably didn't realize she was in that kind of state, til the tears flowed and he was like 'oh crap...' and now she's got his attention.
Anyway that's my 2 cents, I'm sure you girls have questions, which I can try to answer.. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up though lol.
But I'm sure one question you guys wonder about is if they stay in contact, or even are together.
Do they keep in contact? I really hope so. But being in different countries, and busy schedules... I wonder if they even leave quick messages.
Are they together? I think this is just wishful thinking... If Taec was in the right mind, he should keep in contact! Cause she's a keeper! But realistically.. it's hard to have a long distance relationship with someone in a different town/city let alone an entirely different country!

Yeah, what pluie say!! If you were in Hongdae on 20 January, then you were definitely in the right place -- have you had a chance to watch Episode 12 yet? I got a heads-up beforehand, and saw several of my buddies in the crowd -- I'm sure you're probably viewable as well. I've already posted the pics my chingus took at the filming, so please post yours as well (just remember to keep the file size reasonable so as to not crash the Soompi Servers... ). Kamsahamnida!!
And it sucks that most reasonably-knowledgeable people only know Kwang Soo for his "Running Man" series -- I've lost count on both hands and feet the number of times I tell everyone HE'S IN A DRAMA TOO, not to mention a few movies as well. To that end, here's a few BTS shots that the news feeds have been circulating about his expanded role in the Show.

so i was in seoul a couple weeks ago and my friend and i were in the hongdae area and ran into some show that was filming.. these guys were dressed as snow white, the witch and dwarves. i only recognized one guy from running man, and so i thought it was that show... but after some investigating.. turns out it to be this show i believe. i have a few pics from it. didn't realize how long it took to shoot a scene! was probably there for 2 hrs and it looked like they shot 2-3 scenes only. I may be in one of them because they allowed the crowd to rush in.. so me and my friend walked in at the last second.. hope they use that part! haha

damn! I've been travelling through asia and i'm in phuket right now (patong). i was in korea 2 months ago and i was looking forward to seeing them live when they performed somewhere for the worldcup game, korea vs argentina. but i went to the wrong area and instead saw t-ara perform. i was pretty bummed! and now i'm in phuket the same time they come here... anyone know how long this photoshoot is cause i'm here for 1 more week and maybe i can catch them! haha

sometimes people in photoshoots will look different because...... it's a photoshoot. hair/makeup/clothes will give off a different feel.

hey everyone. yup i'm a newbie, i'm more of a thread roamer, not much of a thread talker! haha, but you'll probably find me askin questions every now and then, congratz on the 1000 pages though. I first learnt about YEH from watchin xman clips, it first started when i stumbled (forget how) upon the dangyunhaji segments, finding them hilarious, then the pattaya episode got me interested in both KJK and YEH, then as i read and watched more, i became infatuated with them bein a possible couple, but nevertheless I respect them as artists and enjoy watching YEH on her shows and hope to see her in more movies! ZYA
