^well the thing is it does get better after 5 minutes, the only time he limps is when he stands up after lying down or sleeping.
any ways does any body make their own dog wet food? I usually buy tubs of wet food for my shiba, but its a bit $$ and it adds up - esp. since im a poor student.
I was wondering if there was any dog food recipies out there? I dont really want to go spend money on books just for that,

I put my dog on Royal Canin (apparently its owned by medical now?) and wet food from little dog big dog bakery.

Has your dog been limping before he ate the nutella?
I doubt the incident with the nutella has anything to do with him limping, but... I would take him to the vet for that.
I don't know any symptoms for a particular health concern, so if I see anything abnormal in my dog, I research the possible aspects of it online, go for the latter, and take him to my vet.
Yeah, he started limping before that. I felt his back legs and didn't feel anything out of place, and neither did my friend whose an experienced dog owner. She said if my dog felt pain he would of let me know.
I think its because his foot fell asleep (if dogs legs do fall asleep) or just didn't stretch when he got up. I started to notice that more, before when he would get up in the morning he would stretch his whole body, now that he stopped sleeping in a kennel and in a round dog bed he doesn't stretch as much.

I remember when my dog was a pup, he ate my bag of M&Ms (the mini ones). I freaked out and called my friend (who is an experienced Golden owner).
She said the dog should be fine... just as long as he doesn't eat anymore (a given).
The size of your dog can also be a determining factor if you're dog will be okay or not.
My golden was a bit big as a puppy, and even though his immune systems and all that were still developing, eating an small bag of M&Ms didn't hurt him at all. Thank God.
You're dog SHOULD be fine, but I'm going to put my best foot forward and say never underestimate the subjective matter at hand.
If you're worried, just call your vet and tell him what happened.
uhh he ate a little bit probably nothing bigger than the cap of the chapstick and last itme I weighed him he was about 23.8 pounds.
he seems fine now, he's still walking and running and doing the normal things he normally does.
but i did notice he's limping alot especailly after lying down and sleeping =/ i felt around his legs and i don't feel anything abnormal...
getting a dog neurtered helps prevents other future health problems, that's what i've heard but in bit completely sure.

i would say wait awhile... i mean if the poison was from your lawn or a neighbor's laugh i would play it safe and wait just in case the pup did eat grass from there again.
because right now im trying to be as careful as I can with my pup, its the summer and i know there's gonna be people spraying pesticides and weed killers (like kill ex, i know its banned in Canada but some people still use it), and I heard they stick around on the lawn for a while and it can be undetectable @_@;

i heard dolbies and Chows can turn against their owners =/ so i would suggest on doing some research before getting a dog...after seeing this American husky all the time, i want one...it's so white and fluffy and the stuff that attaches to their fur just falls off
any ways I want to get insurance for my shiba too, just to get money back for the meds, they can get freakin expensive and some other problems. Which is probably the cheapest one in Canada? He was on Vetinsurance, which covered his meds and his cone, it was $38/month. Is there another company cheaper? or is it set by breed/size?

People who smoke cigarettes/ pot i have nothing against, as long as they have the respect not to pass it on or offer it to me...I have a close friend who smokes pot, only because its for her stomach conditions.
I would personally not date a guy who smokes cigarettes, but if he has a great personality and i guess we click i'll make a sacrifice and try to suck it up. Just hope he doesn't kiss me after he had just smoked.

He could be a Husky, but I guessed Malamute because he seemed to have quite a chunky face and a shorter muzzle than a Husky. Could be wrong, though!
Ah, I know what you mean about the size, although if you made sure he was well trained then you'd probably be okay. I have a HUGE male German Shepherd and I have very very little trouble with him, even though he weighs nearly as much as I do XD
wow, I know a German Shephard Husky Mix and hollyyy sheeet she's a big dog and a strong one too. She almost knocked me over a few times before. But in the mean time, i think i'll stick with my medium size dogs.
i unno why but I always found Husky, Malamutes or dogs found in the artic to be adorable compared to the small little maltese [ those seem to be a popular breed in my area]

my dog ate a dead bird. It's sunday so i doubt the vet is open =/ i googled some answers and most people said just make sure he has all his shots. He has his rabies from last year [he's not due til October for his next shots], but he is overdue on DHDP, and Deworming =x only reason is that i don't have the money at the moment for it, before you all lecturing me about having a dog --> he was suppose to be my brother's dog. My brother never had the time for him so he grew attached to me and now he's mine.
Oh the bird appeared to be the remains of a bigger prey (probably a hawk), so i don't know if i should sit around and see what happens or call one of my neighbours and ask if they have anything to induce vomiting.

for a malamute looks kind a small, i thought malamutes as puppies would of been a weee bigger, since they are HUGE dogs.
