Just to share a fun article. A journalist list out 5 Korean actors who, in his/her viewpoint match the characters in the Marvel series of films. And Soo Ae was chosen to be the one who could play Pepper Potts (played by Gwyneth Paltrow), Iron Man's romantic interest in the Marvel film series. By the way, Pepper Potts is the intelligent and pretty assistant to Iron Man.

But she is so low profile even in Korea that I think it is unlikely she would want to act in other countries.

The Blue Dragon Awards in Korea was held on Sat (25/11) and Soo Ae co-presented the Best Actor Award together with Lee Byung Hun. It is so nice to see her again. Her white dress gown really brought out her elegance and beauty to the fullest

Anyway, it has been confirmed that Soo Ae will be taking up the role in an upcoming movie "High Society". Hope that there will be a lot of buzz and promotions surrounding the movie, whether during filming or promotions so that it will attract the attention of prospective audience.
“High Society” is about a Seoul University professor who runs for a seat in Congress, and his wife, who is a chief of the visual arts department, illustrating their ambition and love.
Actress Soo Ae has been cast as the wife, and Park Hae Il will be playing the Seoul University professor.
Lee Jin Wook will be portraying a media artist who gets involved in a secret love affair with Soo Ae. “High Society” will start filming in early November.

Update: Soo Ae has declined the role in the upcoming movie "Belief".☹️
Really hope to see her come out soon. She has been out of the limelight for so long.......

Soo Ae attended the Korean Screenwriter Award Ceremony (if I am not wrong) recently. She looks so pure and pretty
I recently just finished watching a Japanese drama series entitled "Suna no Tou'. The actresses are Kanno Miho and Matsushima Nanako (the one starring in Ice World). Such an interesting and exciting show. I think if any Korean TV stations can adapt this series, Soo Ae can play one of the roles, strong and charismatic characters.

Soo Ae attended a red carpet event held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) on 30 May. There is currently an exhibition showcasing Korean history in terms of what the king and generals have done for the country last time. Soo Ae "donated" her voice (did the job free of charge) to be the audio guide. That means that if we go to the museum and visit the exhibition, we pick up the headset, then we can hear her narration. This exhibition will be till October this year. So if you are going to Korea in the next few months, can consider popping by

Hi Tran,
I also miss BrisaBreeze's posts. Wonder where is she now? Hope everything is alright with her.
Besides similar theme to Yawang, I also don't really want Soo Ae to take up the role because of the director. If she really did take it up, really hope that the male lead is good.

Soo Ae attended the Jeonju film festival on 27April. She was awarded the writer's award for best actress. Park Hae Il received the award for best actor. Oh Dal Sul, whom she worked with in Take off 2, also attended.
I really like her style that day. Really suits her. Beautiful.

This was during March this year. Soo Ae was the model for the art exhibition which was held in New York at Tenri Cultural Institute.
I think that she does need to look through the scripts carefully before she picks up her next project. Really hope she will get good scripts from good writers and work with good actors for her future works.

Just read an article on Naver. There was this survey on the best screen couple done by a company called PMI after the award shows.
They surveyed 2000 people, aged 20 -50 years old, both male and female respondents and asked them to choose the best screen couple (across all TV stations) ishown in 2016. I did not expect Soo Ae and Kim Young Kwang in the results. But they actually managed to be placed 11th place. Lee Min Ho-Jun Jihyun and Gong Hyo Jin- Jo Jung Suk were not even placed in the list. Hahaha... Actually, Soo Ae and Kim Young Kwang actually do look good together in the drama. But sad that the story did not do them justice
Hope that she will act in a new film this year. Hopefully in a melodrama or as a career woman.

I think she has more interviews in her earlier days as an actress. Nowadays, she grants interviews mostly for movies but I did not see any post drama interviews , such as Mask or Sweet Stranger and Me.
I did not find any eng sub interview for Knee Drop Guru but I have watched the Chinese sub one. Basically, the interview was on several parts :
Pre-acting days :
She was originally intending to become a rapper, together with some friends, in an idol group after graduating from high school. But she needed to pay the agency some money to join the training as an idol. After half a year, she was approached by her current agency boss to become an actress. She took 2 months to consider and accepted the offer. So she did not become an idol but an actress in the end. She came from a family where her father worked as a cobbler or a shoe polisher (I am unsure which one). So the family was not well to do. She cried as she talked about her father.
Acting days:
She said her mother and younger brother wanted her to quit in the beginning as her acting was unnatural. But she told them she would quit after she has earned enough money to buy a house for her family. So after some time, she was a successful actress and the story goes. She said she was the elder daughter so she has a responsibility to take care of the family. She also said that she did not go to university also partly due to her family financial circumstances then. During her early acting days, there were rumours that she did not greet the senior actors. The reporters were around and words got around, labelling her rude. She clarified that she was timid and thought that nobody took notice of her then so she did not really socialize around. She said if a younger actor did things like that now, she may also find it inappropriate so she could understand the controversy. With more confidence now, she now takes the initiative to greet others first. She also apologised to Lee Byun Hyun because she said that when he wanted to talk to her, she did not respond but just blushed. She said that she should communicate with him more but because she was afraid she may fall for him because he was too charming. (I was wondering what happened. Hahaha...)
Love life:
She was in a relationship before acting, The person was her senior, I think. She said that she has two relationships so far. The host asked her if any of the actors has shown affection for her since she is beautiful. She replied that there were but she always drew a boundary before it happened.
