Trailer is Here!

West side Story for the hip hop generation, takes place in a New York City of the future. There's no more violence, no more drugs - in their place are illegal dance contests, which occur in the underground world of Boogie Town. Micha and Jay, leaders of rival dancing crews, acquire superpowers which take the contests to new levels. Despite the animosity between the two gangs, Micha falls in love with Jay's beautiful sister Natalie and the two become a future-day Romeo and Juliet.

I think this is the movie that Shane Sparks also helped work on.

Cast includes: Marques Houston,Brenda Song, Dante Basco, Shaun Evaristo (Gen2), Mike Song (Kaba), Aimee (Gen2), Lando (Boxcuttahz), Tony Tran (Kaba), Mike Fal (Gen 2), Hok (Quest), Victor (Quest), Althea (Entytii), Britney (Entytii), and more.

Looks like it's going to be something like, You Got Served/Romeo Must Die/Underworld all rolled into one.

Oh ya and of course:

hmmmm, I'm watching this at work without sound and it looks like something that came out of Twilight mixed with some Underworld tone to it. Maybe if I could listen to it...it might not look as ridiculous. LOL. I think it's just odd in general. Underground dancing...and super powers? WuuuwuwuWHAT?!

dance battles with super powers? lol

plus the title of the movie is already a turn off...

i thought it was going to be an animated film from the title lol

the dancing does look really amazing tho!

the title is funny. the storyline is weird.

like a modern day twist to Romeo and Juliet...now..I want to know the ending..haha.

i think i want to watch it for Hok ^^

Aimee (Gen2) told me that the trailer was out, when she and Shaun (Gen2) told me they were gonna be in this movie thats kinda like a You Got Served, I didnt expect it to have this futuristic Underworld w/ a Romeo & Juliet twist storyline, i'll be supporting it because I know many of the Asian american artists that are in this. I gotta support them. The storyline might be weak but i like the cast so far, im a fan of Vanessa Simmons and its nice to see Brenda Song play a character thats not so 'disney' like. i cant wait to watch it coz i know that the dancing is gonna be dope!

I swear all of the west coast dancers ALL DANCE THE SAME!

with the isolations and popping :angry: I hope that the movie isnt limited to that.

and since this takes place in NYC

they better have the booty shakers, whackers, hitters, all of the raw mini cooper or I am going to be pissed off.

Brenda Song came out randomly to me. Is she breaking off from the Disney-ish? xD

Well I don't know anything about that, but I think it's ridiculous enough that we're suppose to believe this world is without drugs and violence, lmao.

Not surprising, from the director and producer of You Got Served. lols.

Some of the people starring in this are better than this.

This is the most ridiculous thing ever.

Did the director and producer get influenced by Twilight or something?
