Hmm...in the first picture that Yenny tweeted...Lim looks like Suzy of Miss A...or is that just me? And yeah, maybe Yenny is just tired. And I like Binnie's make up in those pictures. And I loved all their solos. Yenny-Amazing! As usual! So Hot! Lim-Loved it. Especially loved her outfit. Yoobin: She's so a rockstar! Loved it! Sunye-Wow. Took my breath away. So beautiful. And it helps that I've been obsessed with "You Raise Me Up" recently. Sohee-Honestly, I'm not that tired of her performing Single Ladies. Yes, I think she should perform something else, but every time she performs Single Ladies it's just amazing. I especially like this performance. I have yet to be able to watch the rest of the fancams from the rest of the show, but I know the girls were amazing. Can't wait till next year for the new album! Wonder Girls Fighting! ~Linda~

Back online. The Genting concert was memorable -- a hopscotch of familiar & updated repertoire -- although relatively short (about 90 minutes, or a third longer than their showcase in SG).

My seat was pretty bad: all the way back & too far away to take decent cellphone photos. All the same, it was elevated so there was no need to crane my neck.

The posted fanpics here are quite informative, cuz the projected screen images at the venue weren't as clear from my vantage point.

I think the fancams also captured how the concert went down, except it was A LOT louder. LOL

Malaysian WFs were basically screaming nonstop throughout the show. There were some fanchants here & there -- wow, 2DT is turning out to be most conducive (& popular) of all WG songs for this -- but they would inevitably degenerate into bedlam cuz the audience was spazzing too much.

Some quick thoughts:

• The girls are such consummate live performers now. Even LIM, who has only 10 months' experience but is so effervescent (esp. goading the male fan onstage).

• I like the revamped kick-off. Everyone saw the white curtain & kinda expected 'I Wanna' as the opening song (as per the USA tour). Instead, they projected different WG images on the screen & then played the 'So Hot' intro. Interesting gambit; it instantly electrified the audience.

• WG initially wore pants & also casual wear (tees & such) during the middle portion. I initially thought it was perhaps a nod to local religious sensitivities, but then they also wore provocative costumes (certainly more than in Jakarta). Sohee's 'So Ladies' getup -- sans stockings -- is the raciest IMO, but all the girls flashed plenty of legs too.

• Not sure the stage wardrobe can work in Hong Kong. The latter is used to more glitzy costumes.

• Sunye seems to be reclaiming her old lead-singer role again, this following her opening vocals on the JYP Nation single. Wonder if this is a sign of WG's future direction.

• SoLim more or less coasted through their solo turns (love LIM's colorful jacket, though) but the 3 unnis grabbed the opportunity to explore their musical range. Yeeun continued her soul fixation but it was a very brave song choice; the Northern Soul genre has a very distinctive syncopated beat sound (unsuccessfully replicated since). Sunye chose an inspirational ballad (didn't Brown Eyed Girls sing it too?) &, of course, melted the hearts with the background video. Yoobin went rock 'n' roll -- even climbing the railings at one point -- & actually *shocked* SANG instead of just rapping.

• What's up with Malaysia & giant teddy bears? There was a similar gift the last time WG was in the country.

• I hope the rock versions of 2DT-Nobody will eventually be released, after hearing it live. They are too good to be left in the vault.

• Hope the fan spoof skit gets released too. The in-jokes & send-ups are so funny & merciless, absolutely nailing the narcissism & sometimes predilections of the respective fangroups! (LIM's 'ostracism' - ouch!) Goes to show WG is aware of the situation, & I can't help thinking they are sending a gentle reminder here, albeit with good humor.

Wearing nostalgic red-sequinned costumes & singing 'Nobody' in Chinese, English & Korean, the "I want nobody nobody but you" lyric & classic hand-clapping dance moves were the triumphant highlight of the evening!

WONDERGIRLS's sensuality & attentive fan service was lucky in love for a victory-gesturing male fan!

Ultra-popular Korean girlgroup WONDERGIRLS of international 'Nobody' fame held their 1st concert in Malaysia. The quintet of Sunye, Yeeun, Yoobin. Sohee & LIM performed for an hour & a half. Full of dynamism & sex appeal, wonderful body language in their dancing, [& baring] bewitchingly slender legs, they won over the whole audience & had them screaming for more!

But the loudest cheers were actually for a lucky male fan who was picked to go onstage & "live it up". WONDERGIRLS was very affectionate & hospitable with him: arm around shoulder for phototaking, interlocking of fingers, presenting a giant cuddly toy, presenting souvenirs, presenting roses... The 'overwhelming' surprises prompted the blessed male to make a 'victory' sign, leaving other watching fans to grind their teeth in envy!

Without that many universally-familiar hit songs, WONDERGIRLS relied instead on various versions of top singles like 'Nobody, 'Tell Me', 'So Hot'. etc. They also took solo turns at English songs, displaying their dancing & singing skills to the max.

Frankly, compared to those Kpop fanmeets which ask for hundreds of ringgit in exchange for only a few songs, the priciest MYR 400+ VIP seats for this concert are surely a bargain? Granted, there was no live band, only 19 songs, Sunye's microphone was oft-faulty, many hilarious video interludes & taped VCR messages shared (used to facilitate costume changes). These are common tools of the trade in Kpop. But WONDERGIRLS also changed costumes a total of 6 times, including wearing sunglasses & guitars to become rock 'n' roll girls. They also sang & danced their heartiest to a buoyant audience, yet remained visually captivating as ever. Isn't that what the fans precisely wanted to see: their loveliness as well as their sensual vivaciousness?

Speaking Malay to win over the fans

The girls spoke in English throughout, but did not forget to say several Malay phrases like "Apa khabar" (How are you), "Jumpa lagi" (Goodbye), "Kami suka Malaysia" (We love Malaysia), etc. to make the fans happy. Seeing the great response from the fans, they reciprocated with a final "Love you all" & asserted that they will return to perform in Malaysia again!

Worth mentioning is that local "Queen of Hokkien Songs" Lau Wan Yin & Henry Hii were also opening guests for the concert. Lau Wan Yin  [i read she is only 13] flaunted her legs, wore a Kpop hairstyle & sang English songs, which was indeed a sight to behold!

(Genting, December 12 news) WONDERGIRLS (WG) was performing in Malaysia for the 1st time. They congratulated a birthday boy & presented him with a giant pink teddy bear, roses & small gift bags.

WG did not just dance energetically onstage. During 'I Tried', the girls went downstage to shake hands with the audience. But the spectators did not crowd around or create any commotion; they were holding up mobile phones & cameras & frenziedly taking pictures instead. Yeeun suddenly said: "Whose birthday is today? We want to invite him (her) onstage." Screeches immediately rang out. Yeeun asked the male fan who was selected: "Who do you like in the group?" He candidly named Sunye [sic], thus giving Yeeun the cold shoulder; he was then pulled onstage. WG sang 'Saying I Love You' to him & took turns taking Polaroid photos. The male fan also spontaneously interlocked fingers with Sunye for a snapshot. He got to enjoy a 'polygamous' moment. The dancers then brought out a giant teddy bear & also gave him roses & gift bags as presents, to the envy of the onlookers!

Dance tracks dominate the concert

WONDERGIRLS of well-known 'Nobody' fame held their 1st concert in Malaysia. The girls relied mainly on dance tracks for the whole show. 'Nobody' was the most-performed song on the night. The 1st one was a ballad version, during which the girls coordinated with a chair dance. The encore saw them singing a rock version. They then changed into red-sequined dresses for the original song version, which should satisfy everyone's craving for 'Nobody'. The concert also aired fragments from rival online imitations of the 'Nobody' dance, which goes to show WG's amazing magnetism.

No 'encores' from the fans

WG has several signature songs, but they still 'borrowed' from other famous singers for their solo turns. Yoobin transformed PINK's 'So What' into a rock 'n' roll version, grabbing the microphone stand & singing energetically. She even climbed up the railings at one point. Sohee performed 'Single Ladies' for her solo, first dancing with female images on VCR before the real dancers appeared. It was quite refreshing. Yeeun showcased her talents by playing the piano & singing Gloria Jones's 'Tainted Love'. She started cozily before switching to a hot butt dance, which proved irresistible. Group leader & lead singer [sunye] wore a white evening dress to serenade 'You Raise Me Up'. It added some sentimentality elseways to the [otherwise] dance atmosphere. LIM's solo turn saw her putting on an delightful hip-hop coat & rapping away nonstop, displaying her street credentials.

WG conversed with everyone in English throughout. Before leaving, they also promised to return to Malaysia again. Yeeun even said: "Terima Kasih， jumpa lagi!" (Thank you & goodbye!) The girls then said together: "“Kami suka Malaysia. We love Malaysia.” Excluding the 3 opening guest performers, WG's concert formally began at 8:30pm, with the 'Tell Me' finale at 9:40pm. The 'Nobody' encore finished at 9:55pm &, factoring in WG's thank-you speeches, it was time to go at 10pm sharp. Surprisingly, the fans did not clamor for more encores; they obediently marched out instead.

The trip to Genting was soooo worth it. One was because the concert was a Blast and another reason was I hit a rare jackpot(top prize at RM900 of an old slot machine) at the casino... heehee! Wonder Girls do bring me luck some way.

Anyway, here's my fan account. I looovveee the concert because they surprise me again with different concepts and all. I was expecting the girls to do the same opening style like their world tour but they changed it to So Hot. It was my fave song so I was so taken by surprise my fancam was so shaky. My cam is really old with little zoom features so I'm sorry I couldn't contribute much for everyone to enjoy. After so hot, goodbye(i can't remember if I wanna was included), they did their usual introductions with Yenny again treating her fans with her language skills when she spoke some malay greetings and then they performed nobody rainstone. Then Yubin rocked the show with Pink's So what which blew my mind coz she was so fierce she even climbed the pillars..LOL. Her vocals were good too. After Yubin was Sohee's single ladies(as expected..LOL) but this time she did an extended version of it. Lim followed after with her "watcha know bout me!" wearing a really cute hootie. After that I can't remember the sequence of the concert but I know the girls did the cheer-leading 'headache', 'this fool' and 'irony'.

I love the unnies making the effort to always come out with something new in their solos. Yenny and Sunye wowed the crowd once again with their amazing vocals in their solos. When it was Yenny's turn to do her solo, she asked us if she could drink her water first and after a gulp, she told us she always wanted to try new styles of singing while she headed to her piano. Yenny's tainted love was so cool with the piano and then she pumped the show with the retro dance break!

Sunye's solo opening was a very very touching video message followed by her raising up from the stage and belting out 'you raise me up'. It was soo amazing it gave me goosebumps. The girls then came out and performed 'this time' and when they went down the stage to be close to fans, we were all screaming. They then asked if anyone is celebrating their birthday today and almost everyone put up their hands. hahaha.. even me who is sitting so far away from VIP area. Then because they had to pick a lucky fan anyway so Yenny finally pointed to a boy who immediately felt guilty and confessed "but it's not my birthday" but Yenny said, "Never mind, it's ok!" and the lucky boy was led up on stage by the girls to sit on a chair. They asked for his fave member and he said "Sohee" while holding her placard. The girls then sang saying i love you and showered the boy with gifts and polaroids. He even got to sing a "sarangae" part and called out "Kim Yubin" when Yubin asked him something, which got the crowd roaring with laugther. After that, the girls had to rush backstage to change but Yubin and Sunye saw that the boy was struggling with his overloaded gifts and decided to help him. Luckily the backstage crew came out to help the boy so YuMin can go backstage for their quick change.

The skit they aired was hilarious but I was sitting at a bad corner and can't really see the screen very well. Sunye's rap cracked me up big time. Yubin complimenting Yubin for her fan service and Sohee praising Lim for a great fanfic. This was another surprise for me as well since the girls had time to come up with a new funny skit playing as wonderfuls. I suspect they are going to use this skit not only in HK concert but JYP nation concert as well. It's too good for k-wonderfuls to miss.

They performed 2DT with new clothes which I have never seen before. I must say I like this set of dark demin. They even added the 2dt/nobody rock version which they did for MTV world stage. Love how they interacted with the audience before they performed tell me. They made us sing "tell me t-t-t-tell me" and we went wild. After pumping the crowd up with their Tell me performance, they waved goodbye and thank yous! Now we all know the encore is next coz we were so pumped up already after tell me. They then aired all the youtube tell me and nobody parodies while they changed backstage. Then the screen asked " do we want the real wonder girls?" then shout "wonder girls". Anyway, they appeared with bright red dresses(wowed everyone) and did their 1000000th time of the classic nobody. When they finally made their goodbye speech, this ajusshi next row to me was shouting like "Don't GO. We want more!" LOL.

Wonder Girls’ Ye Eun takes a picture in the waiting room

On December 13th, Wonder Girls’ Ye Eun updated her Twitter with a couple of photos of her with members Hye Lim and Yubin in their performance outfits.

In the photo, all girls are sporting chic, smoky make-up, complemented with orange and red lipstick. Yubin particularly surprised her fans by widening her eyes to look like large, scary rabbit eyes.

Ye Eun tweeted along with the photos, “bye bye black yenny haha,” making fans curious as to how Ye Eun will transform her hair

Hey readers, i'm back from Genting!

I went to Genting on Saturday morning..

Reach there around 1PM..

After that having our lunch and waiting the time pass..

the time was 6pm i think..

We went to Outdoor there and meet my brother's friend..

I saw them have a light stick and poster, so i buy the light stick~

The light stick is purple in colour~ Well, it's a nice light stick and the cost is RM18!! x.x

After that, just queue up for a while, it's the time go into ARENA STAR!!!

the time only was 6PM++ and the concert is start at 8PM..>< we're quite earlier..

When we go in, it's less of people, and ME, is standing at the most front place!!

WOW, my feel that time is, OMG i will see REAL WONDER GIRL soon!!

I'm extremely happy and i standing the front place..

but after that, the security guard, change the place..x.x

then i'm at quite behind, but still can take photo..

OKAY! It's 8PM!!! The concert start!!! Some of people come into the place which is the place is for VIP and VVIP one..

ARGH! they're cover me, i cant ever see any people and take any photo..!

After that, i give up to take them photo..then i enjoy the concert~ <3

OMG! Wonder Girl, they're so so so so pretty!!

It's SOLO stage!

Have a boy!! he is a lucky boy ever!!!

Wonder Girl pick him up to the stage and he sat down on a chairs, after that, Wonder Girl is sang a song "Saying I Love You" to him, and they give the boy a bear bear which is the size is look like me so BIG!! i think it's bigger than me!! REALLY BIG! OMG the boy is from VVIP one.. x.x , he is the most lucky boy ever! He still take photo with them!! OMG i want lo..><

After that, the screen have show us a video..that is a funny video..

They're their own-selves fans..LOL how funny..and still got 2 video..It's those fans dance to their song "Nobody and Tell Me" !! I saw JYP is dancing "Tell Me" in the video!!

OMG! How funny is it!! after that, it's encore..

Everyone is shouting "ENCORE ENCORE ENCORE" (include me) ><

And, we we still shout "Wonder Girl Wonder Girl Wonder Girl".

Finally, they're out with a Read Colour Outfits..

That means it's ENCORE.They're out with the song "Tell Me" and they sang into English Verison (if i din wrong), after "Tell Me", they sang Nobody, Which is the last song for that night. ><

They sang it into 3 Version, 1st part is Korean Version, 2nd part is Chinese Version and the last part is English Version. After, THE CONCERT IS TOTALLY END!

They said they will come back again...hehehe..

I had enjoyed the concert very very very much..<3 <3

The 1st Wonder, Wonder Girls in Malaysia!

I just came back from Genting Highland and I had the best time on earth in The 1st Wonder, Wonder Girl's concert!

On the 11 of December 2010, my brother, me and marcus were fortunate enough to be given 3 tickets to watch Wonder Girls live in Malaysia!

Our sits were above the VIP sittings, about 15 sits vertically arranged in front of us so we weren't really far from the stage. However, because we were in the out door stadium, the Arena of Star, with open doors everywhere, the stadium was filled with mist which reduced the clearness of our viewage.

Nevertheless I'm glad to be given tickets to watch the Wonder Girls concert.

Honestly, 3 of us were full of doubts as to how successful can the concert when Wonder Girls have so little songs to sing to begin with.

"How many songs can they sing man... The whole concert is predictable..."

Honestly, besides Two different tears, nobody was the latest song and it was last year's product.

Well, they proved us wrong =D

So as we sat and waited for Wonder Girls to perform, the concert started unglamorously with 3 local artists doing the opening show to get the crowd going. There were nothing wrong with the artists performance, but when I said unglamorously started, I meant the stage. The local artists were barely given enough spot to make a proper introduction.

They brought themselves in.

They got themselves out.

Well, lets just say the crowd barely acknowledged them and I would preferred to have an Emcee and a proper stage presentation for our local artists.

Give the spot light! Give exclusive camera coverage! Give attention and presence!

If you want to give them time on stage, don't give them a trashy one, especially when people are anticipating to watch foreign pretty girls to perform.

I think they are talented, just needed a little better coordination to get the people going ^^

There are many little things I want to talk about the wonder girls but I think its easier for me to express the bad one first.

    * Genting stage, sittings, and sound system sucks.

    * Yenny should have sang a more recognizable song. i think with such amazing vocal, everyone would have cheered if they weren't so busy thinking what on earth is that song.

    * Yubin should have rapped instead cause Hae Lim's rap sounds like prerecorded.

    * The mic is so annoying I got to repeat how frustrated I'm with it cause I COULDN'T HEAR A THING!

    * The coordination of the performance should be revised.

    * I love how korean culture holds a certain color light for their bands. Suju for saphire but not everyone were holding any lights.

What I love about Wonder Girls' concert?

    * Little budget but fun concert

    * Love how they brought someone from the crowd and showered him with love. WE WERE ALL DAMN JEALOUS WHEN WE SAW HIM UP THERE. He was given so many things I bet he would be a die hard fan right after this. Power of VIP sits

    * I love the idea of putting everyone who did a tribute to their "tell me" and "nobody" videos in their concert. Mash it up and show it to everyone! It shows gratitude and I think it's refreshing

    * Sunny's performance in particular were fantastic. How she portrayed her leadership and her sentimental side in her song. The crowd were blown away.

    * I found out how much I actually love the wonder girls when I was singing with them unconsciously. The feeling of a fan feels damn good even if I find it superbly hard to hear their voice because the mic were fooked up.

    * ETC like, I just noticed I wanted to list out everything from the concert because so much about it was so enjoyable! =D

When the girls said they wanted to come back right here.

All I could say is "NOT GENTING PLEASE."

Cause I think a bigger stage and better sound system are the only way to do justice for their amazing performance. I love them so much more now =D

You know what, after a few experiences in big richard simmons concert, thou some I have enjoyed, I always find it unnecessary to go for concert when I always ended up staring at the screen to have a clearer look.

But last night, this doubtful girl was singing along with Wonder Girls even thou I could barely hear them due to the bad sound system but I truly enjoyed it.

It is like after all those time i stopped googling Wonder Girls, all the time I spent on spamming their song last time were still fresh in my memory. I was bloody excited everytime they performed a song because they are so familiar and the experience was so damn good.

I guess that is the feeling of a fan.....

When you are doubtful, you can tell the whole world how SNSD or T-ara are better than wonder girls and stuff..

But when you are there, all your mind are focused on wonder girls and they just shines out so much without comparison or thoughts of competitiors.

I love the concert!

Wonder Girls were up in Genting for their first concert in Malaysia (: Knowing me, of course I wanted to see them, so Elaine and I went for it teehee.

VIP tickets woohoo Daddy got them for free haha. The best part bout this was that we got a limo to send us to the arena from the hotel. We were dropped at a special entrance & there was this dude who held the umbrella for us too cos it was drizzling lol. Made me feel special teehee.

Genting is so small, everywhere is connected and so near to each other. The night before the concert, mommy, Elaine and I were returning to our hotel after shopping and then Elaine, being the Genting pro, said that maybe we could go to the arena to listen to their rehearsal cos MAYBE they'll be there. I've never 'stalked' artists in my whole life so UH HUH IT WAS KINDA FUN (:

We went to the gate and saw a few crazy fans. It's so weird that we were even there, waiting for the Wonder Girls, when we aren't even considered as 'fans' haha. The funniest part is, we even knew more about the girls' whereabouts compared to the 'real fans'. Elaine knows lotsa staff in Genting, so yup yup.

After listening to them rehearse a bit, we went back to their hotel and decided to wait for them to return. We had nothing to do anyway so why not ^^;. They came back around 12am. It was soooooooo cool seeing them upclose~ *starstruck*. Sohee's legs were like twigs, Hyerim looked so cute and she even waved at the fans. Yubin stopped at the entrance to sign autographs (: The member that gave me the worse impression was Ye Eun. Wtf in front of cameras, she's all HEY GUYS I LOVE YOUUU HI HI *SMILES* but she didn't even look up or smile. I actually thought she was the nicest .

For this song, they invited a fan to the stage. FREAKING LUCKY FAN OKAYYY 8D

They literally showered him with gifts X) He got 2 polaroids with them, a gift bag and a HUGE bear.

Last song, yes you guessed it. "Nobody".

Overall it was a fun concert (: One of the best concerts I've been to but i thought it was kinda short - only 1 and a half hours. Maybe it's just me being too used to SM concerts, not JYP ones hahaha. Their personality actually seemed REAL (besides Ye Eun) and they interacted with the crowd a lot. Yubin and Hyerim are my favourite members now ^^ cos they're super nice!

Elaine's friend saved a poster for her. We actually preferred the poster with the other picture :\ (the 2 Different Tears one)... then on the way back, we saw die-hard fans trying to steal the posters from the display frames, something like this:

but they failed LOL. So, again, Elaine being the Genting pro knew how to open the frame and we ended up stealing the poster rofl XD XD XD

And to think that we did those stuff: 'stalking', stealing posters when we're not even real fans tsk tsk.

I even got an "All Access" pass from Elaine's friend who was working during the concert. But I only got it after it ended, so it was no point, actually haha. Souvenir ok ok.

wonderful.

I can finally squeeze out some time to update bout my KL trip

*skip the shopping and the theme park part.

**here comes the main point.

I went for Wonder Girls' concert last Saturday! :DD

I really wanna support malaysia but then i must say, the sound system ruined everything. the base-sound covered the mic's and can barely hear what they're singing.

Arrived at Star Arena at about 7.30pm (the concert starts at 8pm btw), people selling merchandises such as light stick, t-shirts, postcards, posters, albums and such outside, I bought myself a light stick, since there's only blue, green and colourful's left, I got the green one, I'm a TS what. oh and a goodie bag which consists of a CD, a poster and five mini light sticks. & before entering, there were a voting activity at the entrance with the title, '除了 WONDER GIRLS 你希望谁来演出呢?' the choices were Girls Generation, Super Junior, Bang Bang Tang and Fahrenheit, guess who did i vote? Girls Generation indeed! :3

The concert kicked off at 8pm sharp, three groups of kelefe(s) performed first, really got no idea bout who they are, well thats not the point. After the three boring performances, here come the stars! Their first song was So Hot and This Fool. They then did their self intro, Sohee said 'kami Sohee' aww, cute mistake And then till their solo stages. Yubin did it first with So What, then Hyerim, Sohee with Single Ladies, Yenny and lastly Sunye with You Raise Me Up. I'm totally impressed with her powerful vocal!

They did different versions of Nobody, actually. They first performed the english ballad version, followed by the rock version, but I wanted the original korean version more than others actually hm. After a couple of songs, the girls went down from the stage and shook hands with the fans at the first row (envy) and they asked who's having their birthday today (11th Dec) and everyone's like 'me! me! me!' lmao. After a couple minutes of hesitation they then picked a guy from the VVIP seat to go onto stage, and they sang Saying I Love You by his side! they even took pictures with him on stage, and the most envious part was a really huge pink teddy for him! hope he's still in one piece after the concert

Then they sang to Tell Me, Yenny asked us to dance together with them, we sang along with them instead , especially the 'omona, dashi hanbeon malhaebwa' part, was the loudest. They finished Tell Me with 'See you next time!' and left to the backstage in kind of rush. some of the audiences left after that but we didnt, cause I don't really believe they will end the concert like that. Few seconds later, videos appearing on the widescreen on the stage, it was from those who uploaded their version of nobody / tell me dance onto youtube, they edited those videos into one. and then this appeared on the screen - 'Do you wanna see real Wonder Girls? Shout for them! Wonder Girls! Wonder Girls! Wonder Girls!' and POOOOOOOOOF! Wonder Girls came out in red to perform their encore stage - NOBODY starting with korean version, switched to mandarin version in the middle and ended with english version

After all, they said they will be back to malaysia again bla bla bla and we love malaysia! we didnt end it like that, we followed the crowd to the place where WG's leaving, and captured a video of their car leaving. crazy? who cares!
