  1. in addition:

The kids only get to eat meat when they are outside filming.... it could be an x-deal with the restaurant owner for free advertisement or the expenses will be shouldered by the production.

I think SIG and wifey are generous when it comes to food. He mentioned before that he used to give them only premium korean beef until he realized how expensive it would be in the long run . Also on his first episode when he went grocery shopping with them, his wife called him to buy beef brisket for the kids soup. So yes they eat meat often, but we should also credit the parents for trying their best to give them healthy foods like vegetables and fruits,

I think SIG pays for all the food they eat and activities they do on the show. It was mentioned during that grocery errand episode they did, when Minguk filled his basket with bread that appa il guk payed for all of it.

I think the only time KBS steps in to shoulder the expenses are for those activities that the production impose on the families, such as the one in Jeju and when SIG and the kids went to Japan. I also think that KBS shoulder's the expenses of Sarang and family whenever they shoot in Korea.

True. :D I meant in the context of filming where he can share his parenting styles with the viewers.  Otherwise they would not grow as big as they are now without protein in their diets.:) It is actually amazing that his kids at their age can enjoy eating vegetables for meals when most are picky eaters and stick to fried foods or processed foods for meals.

  2. I agree!!!

Regarding how his parenting style will affect how other parents raise their kids. While I agree that not all parents can afford a trip to Japan or rent a luxury camping tent or trailer like SIK does, not everything he does is expensive to do. Example of this :

    * The puppet show- all it takes is a creative imagination and willingness to do silly stuff.

    * Reading to them.

    * Playing hide and seek with them.

    * The treasure hunt game during the second camping trip can be done anywhere.

    * Nurturing their imagination through play acting and drawing on a foggy window.

    * He bought them pants from an outdoor market vendor. The triplets also reuses clothes they wear on the show. That brown stuff Sunghoon bought for them in Jeju would probably be used and reused for as long as they fit the kids.

    * He teaches them to respect and share with others. There are many instances where the kids shared their food with the camera men without any prodding from their father.

    * He does not buy them expensive toys. They use their body and imaginations to play.

  3. as far as i know most if not all star couples do not admit their relationship unless they are caught on dates or their wedding is already set.  saying it the way Lee Da Hae said it, is not actually putting a period or a sense of finality but rather openness to what MIGHT happen in the future... unless it is not happening NOW. it would be a little heartbreaking if she said, they are better off as friends, or that they are colleagues with deep respect for each other... or they have an Oppa-Dongseng relationship....

  4. awwww... Gary could not bear watching the stick radish game...  :\"> it's cute/sweet when Haha went to him after the game and was gesturing on his hands just how small was left of the radish and gave him a pat on the shoulder...
okay my delusional part.... but i noticed too that while everyone was like going crazy after the game, JiHyo kept saying that I told you we are actors, like she is trying to convince everyone or someone (?)... but her head is bent forward like looking down... is she talking to someone who has remained seated while all this things are unfolding?  AHAHA

  5. Hello! First time to post here. Though I have no way of understanding this drama until the subs come out, I cant help but watch the raw and base my understanding on their actions. I really like this drama. I just noticed something, EJs dad is seeing her mom again? The woman whom he met at the restaurant on Christmas eve is the same woman from the flower shop right? If that is so, then EJ who does not believe in fate because her dad is seeing someone after 15 long years of pining for his wife (EJs mom) will realize that maybe MYs destiny is JH... she will relate it with her dad and then to MY... and maybe after the stalker issue will be resolved and JH wont be needing a bodyguard, hopefully next week, she will give up on MY and that is when PMY will realize just how much EJ means to him.

  6. wow i am so excited to watch this week's episode... it's an agony for me not watching the raw video and waiting patiently for the subs to be up... of all the 5 men involved in the 1983 incident, it is the President whom Jin Pyo wanted to seek revenge in the cruelest possible way. after all, he was the one who recruited them, their hyungnim who promised that he will go down with them and the rest is history. and the cruelest revenge would be having your own son turning up against you... it's like YJ and Kim Jong Shik all over again. this time, they dont know yet of their relations with each other. if indeed YS is the president's son.

probably that was the secret target no. 4 was talking about. President had an extramarital affair or relationship with KH back then, but he could not marry her because of political ambitions and society pressures. MY and JP both had feelings for her being a popular beauty in her younger years, and to help out their hyungnim from possible scandal and downfall, MY offered to marry KH.

JP probably felt that they have given already so much for their hyungnim and yet he betrayed them, he was under pressure and was not able to keep his promise to them.

so many theories... part of me wanted to know how the story will unfold further in the weeks to come, but then a part would be sad once this is over....

though, i really want YS to be MY's son in the end...

ohhh... and how did the President seemed like he knew YS is the City Hunter and what YS is looking for? well, he is the President of Korea...

  7. hello guys, i am watching episode 14 right now, and there is this scene that i hope you guys can help me decipher... the scene where YS and omma are eating and YS asked mom what his father was like, based on the subtitle, Kyung Hee ajummoni, described YS appa as "Kind hearted and an upright man, HE SAVED ME AND HE SAVED YOU." I wonder where and when did he save Kyung Hee? Did something happened in the past where both mother and chid needed saving? Or if indeed there is a twist in YS's birth... Could it mean that yes, its a possiblity that Park Mu Yeol was not YS father?

    This is getting intense...

  8. Wow there are a lot of theories on the upcoming episodes. I am excited, too. But wouldn't it be too unbelievable that Nana would not recognize YS? Or would Nana think YS can NEVER be as cool as the City Hunter? Wow, Wednesday seems like forever away... About Nana's father, my guess is that since he was a Blue House bodyguard like Nana, he was probably assigned to one of the 5 men and somehow in their secret meetings, he learned about the betrayal. He could be the bodyguard of the Prosecutor's father and to keep the secret safe, he was silenced. Or just like the scenario of the two kids, and Gwangsoo's brother, the accident can somehow be the avenue for the CH to bring down the prosecutor's father.

  9. Just my two cents worth...

I think the reason Jin Pyo kidnapped the newlyborn YS 28 years ago was more of circumstantial and societal in nature. When the order to kill the 21 member team was ordered, their identity cards, military records were deleted and so its like they never really existed in the first place. that must be the reason Jin Pyo left Korea. And in order to keep his promise to his friend, he had to take the baby with him and raise him as his own, because what can a widow do for his son? A child carries his father's name, a father who technically did not exist. His mother I presume is a stay at home wife, it would be hard for her to raise her son and give him good education. Its basically how society looks upon widows and single parents at that time and JP probably assumed that she can move on and find another guy and start anew without her son who i believe that at the time, having a child would lessen her chances of marrying a good man.

With regards to JP telling YS lies about his mother, I think that was to prevent YS from looking for her and reuniting with her. If his mom remarried and he shows up, it will create trouble with her new family. He planned revenge on his own for years, building his "empire" so he can practically buy arms, people, even their new identity.. but after learning what happened with his adoptive father and his real father, YS wanted to take part in the revenge, probably at first wanting to do the same way as JPs. But then as he went to the US to study, he felt that killing would not satisfy him as much as destroying that person's life and those around him.

It is not to say that JPs actions were right, he brought so much pain to YS mom and eventually to YS too. He was an idealistic man who for one second would not think twice to die for his country and for his friend. But then the betrayal, greed and wrong decisions of 5 men destroyed everything he believed in. He lost his friend and it seemed like on that day he lost him, he also lost his life.
