  1. I'm happy for the increase in ratings for doctors and like Shin Hye character but I feel like since episode 3 the drama have focused more on the romance and developing the male lead character as the perfect romantic guy and even show further development of the second male lead more that the female leads.  Yes Hyun Jung is still badass and smart, and they have shown that she's a good doctor since episode 3 but nothing new besides her learning how to open to the male lead for romantic purposes because times and times again they have shown her interact with the others male doctors without feeling awkward when they touch her.

What I really hope to see next week is more character development that does not involve her getting lecture on hown romance work. I want to see her face some challenges that she work hard to over come by herself and not because the male lead said something. She worked hard on her own to be where she is now and I want the writer and PD to show me that. Or better,  show flash back of her college days and how she got to be a doctor,  how was her life at the previous hospital I want to know all these things. I wan the hyun jung that I fell in love with in the first 3 episodes where her character her flaws besides being new to romanic relationship. She has her father and step mom which is another plot that the writer also need to incorporate as well.

Everything's when I read comments about doctors all I see is people talking either about the male lead or the romance. Only few actually talk about the female lead character apart from it being a departure from PSH past characters. I love all the actors in this drama,  but the only reason why I started watching is because I was promised a female oriented drama which I have not seen since episode 4.

I don't want the writer to forget that although the romantic plots is important,  the journey of the female lead is even more important as promised.

Right now,  her character is too perfect comparison to the beginning of the drama where she was more complex with different ingredients than just her looking for her grandmother medical records,  getting school on how to open to the male lead by the man himself,  succeeding in every surgery,  and being love by every male at the hospital.

Bottom line, when I read netizen comments,  I wish to see her name in the top comments where people talk about how complexity awesome her character is and not just about her chemistry with the lead guy.

This drama was promised to be about her journey on how she became a better doctor which ironic she's already is but we did see how she struggle to become one. Yes we saw what inspired her (her grandmother) but I want to see how she spent those 13 years to reach to where she is now. I want this drama to be what "I hear you voice" was for Lee Bo-young and "my love from the star" was for JJH. Both female centric from beginning to the end. Also these two dramas did excellent job showing the struggle that the female leads faced and how they over come them.

It's only 6 episodes which means there are plant of time to get back to the main synopsis which is the journey of the female lead. I love PSH and I don't want her role in this to end up just being the love interest of all the males in this drama. She is badass, smart,  pretty,  financially stable,  and good heart. Most importantly she have many subplots that if explore well by the writer and pd, this could become best female lead of 2016 and might even go In kdrama history as among the best heroines.

Right now I'm crushing more on the male lead instead of the female whom is the reason why I'm watching this. Even in today episode the second female had a better development than the female lead since episode 4. I love the romance and the heroine interactions with everyone,  but I love more is her journey and right now I'm beginning to wonder if this story is about the male lead romancing the female lead or is it about how the heroine along with the help of the hero and her interactive with co-workers and patients shaped her into a better person.

I don't want hye jung to be write or win every case all the time. I want her to some times be wrong, or lose a case and then see how she correct her mistakes much like how the second female leads in today episodes.

Sorry for the long post. I love PSH and don't want her roles to end being just another female lead that all the guys fall for. The first 3 episodes might have been uncomfortable for some due to the teacher-student hinted romance,  but to me they were the best in term of showing the complexity of the female lead.

I'm happy that the ratings are great but I WANT MY OLD  HYE GUNG WHO WAS VERY COMPELLING WITH SO MUCH FLAWS AND PERFECTION AT THE SAME TIME.

  2. We trust Park shin hye but you have to remember that most actors do sign on to dramas when the script is not even finish.  And based on this writer previous works, it's hard not to be concerned about how she's going to write the script and also the PD is new which means he can either be good or worse.

I was happy when she and kim Rae won were confirm because it mea that for once there would be focus on making the characters makes sense and more compelling and no focus on creating fantasies due to the lack of flower boys.

I was also okay with pinocchio guy's character having a crush on shin hye character,  but then a new young male cast was form yesterday who also happens to have a crush on Hye Jung,  then today come thr news about Ji Soo character being Hye Jung first love.

None of these two new characters tells me anything interesting about the plot which is about Hye Jung journey to becoming a doctor and not the men's who loved her or the ones she loved.

The writer have an interesting idea, but all the recent castings are begging to test my hope and trust in this production.  I don't want another Heirs where there were too many eye candy but less story to tell.

We all want Shin hye to challenge herself, but in order for that to happen,  both the writer,  and PD must be decent.

And truly,  I will even love this drama more if it didn't have any romance at all, because the mentor/mentee relationship is compelling enough. For once I want to watch shin hye drama without worrying about who she is going to end up with but more so on how her character will triumph to the end

  3. Don't have me for saying this but "Why?"

Why are all the latest casting all involved either a guy having a crush on Hye Jung or first love.  Can We Please have A drama where first dont exist and what's up With all the flower boys.

Enough about crush and love interest I want read news about more castings that are actually related to neurosurgeons or Hye Jung gangster like past life without somebody having a crush on her or love interest

  4. Yes, I too wish that she works with more senior actors.  I mean she already work with almost all the flower boys out there. ..now less flower boys and more seniors.

Also I know this is a stretch but Im still patiently waiting for the day that she will win a desaeng from any major awards function.

  5. Those who think that he is too old for then that is them. I don't think he's too old, I mean the guy is only 34 and I'll take him over any flower boys because at least people will focus on the acting and story rather than just "oppa is cute, or hot, or handsome".

And I feel like shin hye really does better when acting with older actors as seen in Tree of Heaven,  Kimchi Radish Cubes, Royal Tailor...ect. so I don't mind the two lead having either romance or just mentor mentee relationship as long as it's done right, it's not the main focus but their individual story are, and PLEASE don't hate me for saying this aging PLEASE no love triangle period. I want to enjoy my OTP without worrying about the poor second lead whose heart is or will be broken because the girl didnt choose him or reciprocate his love. So writer nim please save me from another love triangle madness and just give me a good story with an OTE that I can whole hearty root for whether as lover or as mentor/mentee

  6. Exactly,  I too once wished that she would decline the offer but after seeing that it was the only new drama that she was attached too since her name was first brought up in december I decided to just go with the flow and support her decision as others have been saying.  But I cannot deny my worries for this writer and how she writes her main leads as both unlikable and uninteresting.  I hated the two main couple in Warm Worm and watched high society for the secondart couple.

On the paper this story and shin hye character sound very interesting and so did the characters of the lead in high society when they were filming yet that interest was never seen when the show was airing. I feel like this writer do have good ideas about drama but the problem come during executing the materials from the draft to the final revisions.

Therefore I can only pray that the ode will be in Shin hye favor and that her character and Rae-won character will become one of the best written main lead from this writer. I love shin hye and I want her to challenge herself even more and this role sounds like it could the one....I also pray for the writer to find that magic that she's been looking for to crafts better leads characters

  7. From watching both A Warm Word from the Heart and High Society it seems like she write better story for the side characters as seen with Park Seo-Joon and Han Groo couple and Park Hyung Sik and Lim Ji Yeon couple. While the lead story tend to be frustrating, therefore I pray that Park Shin Hye  and Kim Rae-won character will not fall victim like Uee and Soon Joon in high society cause I hated their individual characters and how they love story was written

  8. I'm still looking to see what other works has this PD done so far.

Also can we not have love triangle please?  I mean, I love the actors in this drama, but I feel like love triangles tend to ruin the momentum of the drama because people will be focusing on who will end up with the girl or boy instead of the actual story.

Or they can do like in Pinocchio where they second lead had a crush on the female lead, but it never became a big deal because she was and everybody new than she only like dalpo. Or they can just have the two second leads to have they own separate love line.

Bottom line, I'll even like the drama more if there is no romance. I mean just the description of a mentor relationship is more fresh and new than romance.

  9. I hope they will start filming soon.  I don't want them to wait until May to start filming. I mean, this drama has been in the progress since December when the news of shin hye being considered first came out.

Given that it is a medical drama, it will be good if they start filming like in early or middle of April so that they would not have to run into live shootings in June when the drama is airing.

Lastly,  I pray that the script and the PD will be excellent because this writer is not a strong one when it comes to scripting and sometimes a good PDC can do wonder to a weak script

  11. Guys. Thank you so much for creating this thread.  I've been waiting for it for a while.

I too pray that he get his next project soon with kim so hyun. At first I didn't care about him and was uninterested about his character at the beginning of WAY, but now I am his fan and I'll pick Han yi an any day. Reading about his character at breathlesssurvival.Com whomega is his diehard fan. I too begin to see his magic through yi an. As his new fan, I hope he doesn't take the criticisms to the heart and instead focus on improving on his next project.  He is too young and from what I've seen, he does have a leading man presences and charisma and given that his is hot, and we'll build unlike the  others flower boys, he have a big chance at success and I like the his fans are mature and can distinguish reality from fiction.

HAn Yi An (Nam joo-hyuk) and fans... fighting! !!!

  12. Do you guys think the reason why she not nominated in the TV category for popularity awards was because they think she might win both just like how Kim soo hyun did win both TV and movie category last years. I was really looking forward to her winning popularity award for both movie and TV. I hope they will reconsider and add her to the list for popularity TV because it is not to late to add her.

  13. Hi. New member here. I have one question. When i checked the rating for ep 16 it said 11.8 (-0.8) national and 14% (-0.6). Shouldnt the rating for national be 12.1% given that 12.9% minus 0.8% is 12.1%? Either my math is wrong or the 11.8% was due to a 1.1% decrease in rating and not 0.8% as the many sites stated. If the sites are wrong the ep 17 rating should be 13.2% national and 15.2% seoul.
