  1. Also, Krist was revealed to lead a GMM TV drama, คุณแม่วัยใส (Teen Mom).

    C561iWZVUAEh7aj.jpg

There is also a boy love drama project from the producer team of Love Sick (?), 2 Moons. But, the response to the cast line up was terrible as the actor did not match up with novel character and the novelist publicly withdrew herself from the casting. The result was also caught rigged, and the producer, who was gay himself, said some contestants was too blatantly gay to be a successful actor despite announcing on the application advertising that everyone regardless of sexual orientation was free to join.

i love this drama...really one of the best Bl dramas
    BUT
this is very upsetting .we are expecting for some completion to happend every episode and we don't get any solution you know?
that's why i wrote that i think that Arhit is not gay ..he doesnt' seem to like this kind of affection
i wish they would do another episode with more affection and it's not just skin he need to be more loving for me to believe it's mutual

Thai society does not prefer of skinship. It's common that girl doesn't let her boyfriend hold her hand (and makes him hold her bag instead). Usually, the most intimate physical contact you can see in public space is hand holding. Bittersweet said she paid attention to realisticness so, there may be some scenes where they hold hands in next episode after they have settled their relationship.

Not all gay people are interested in making a public show of things. Thai TV gives us two opposites. On the one hand we have - oh no! I am in love with this guy. But if it wasn't him I would be chasing skirt with the best of them. Then we have a lot of general acceptance. There is very little bullying of gay characters. A lot of teasing yes, but I have yet to see any character beaten to a pulp because of their sexuality.

Thus I am not certain as to what real life is like in Thailand for gay people. And amongst young people at Uni is one thing, with older more traditional folk? We all have an idea as to what is acceptable behaviour.

The last few episodes gave shown Arthit trying to come to terms with his feelings.

Arthit is in love with Kongpob. As head hazer he has a lot to lose in status by being gay. Not fair, not right, welcome to reality. He has already given his gear away to Kongpob a significant sign in itself. He does have misgivings, but watch it again, he never denies his feelings to P'Nott, his worry is that being Kongpob's partner might not be the right thing for Kongpob. That's self sacrifice. To get that far down the conversation he has to have told P'Nott that he loves Kongpob. Straight people rarely do that sort of thing. Usually they say they are confused :). And P'Nott remarks on his possessiveness of Kongpob. By the time your straight friends notice that you are chasing a guy the battle is lost.

    You get some points.

    - Being (male) gay in Thailand, you'll be teased heavily by male friends so, male gays in male dominated circles will avoid to let his friends know. Athit won't want to be asked "Where's Kongpop?" everyday.

    - In less modernized places, usually, there is mild discrimination against homosexual relation, you will be a hot gossip topic but nothing more extreme. I've seen many reports on gay marriage in outskirt areas of the country and those couples got blessing from neighbors.

    - In working setting, as engineer is supposed to work with mostly male subordinates, he may be disrespected if he acts so effeminate/ flamboyant but, it should be no problem if his mannerism is subtle.

    - Head hazer is a temporary position. Next year, there will be another head hazer from the sophomore. It is inappropriate for hazer to let the freshman know he has favoritism toward a specific freshman. If other freshmen know Athit is dating Kongpop, they may form a prejudice if Athit treats Kongpop specially and the atmosphere is ruined. So, realistically, their relationship should be made public a while after all fraternity activities are over.

I'm glad I was able to keep you with us. Yes, it has a 'decent' ending, but their families were never mentioned. I don't know anything about their reactions or if they even know. No where do they talk about visiting or knowing the other person's family. It does upset me a bit in that aspect, dating someone for 2-3 years and not being able to meet their family even though they live in the same city. I mean what about the parties, celebrations, or other special events that they have at home? Don't you kind of invite friends and family to your house for birthdays or just parties? Would Arthit and Kongpope ever do that? Arthit moves from his current dorm to another apartment that is closer to work so he doesn't move home, but I'm sure his parents should be involved in some ways with his decisions. He is an only child so I don't know how traditional they are about him having kids. Darn, I want to cry thinking about it. Imagine what our Pink Milk Monster will feel if his parents wanted a grandchild?

Isn't it common that parents don't know their child's friends/ lovers? Nowadays, many parents know their child's life via his social media. many gay couples just live together and never tell their parents, especially if the parents aren't clearly gay friendly.

due to a decade of low birthrate, many Thai parents don't care much about grandchild. many parents don't worry that their 30 years old daughters are single. also, many married couples don't have their own child and take care of pets or close relatives' children instead. If kongpop has a sibling, arthit and kongpop may take care of kongpop's niece/ nephew as if it is their own child. adoption is also an alternative.

Uhm, but jokes aside... Is there any fanmail adress where we could go to ask for autographs or anything? Do they do things like that in Thailand?

Okay, stupid question here, but: I keep seeing the word skinship mentioned on soompi, but I have no idea what that means. I'm guessing it's a fandom term, because the word is not in any English dictionary. Can anybody explain what it is, please?

I never heard of fanmail. but, there aren't strict rule on how a celeb should contact/ interact with his fans. Some celebs have their addresses publicized that fans can send letters or gifts to. If you can find his address, you may mail him the request and that shouldn't be rude if you enclose a small gift that worth his response.

Skinship is created from skin + kinship. i believe its place of origin is Japan but got popular via k-pop. K-pop singers do it often as fan service.

A month or two ago, I posted two/three SOTUS bgm on my YouTube channel, and they ended up getting deleted.... (I didn't monetize them, I didn't put a video, it was just a picture with music playing in the background....arf YouTube ....)

avoid using GMM's music, this company has stupidly strict copyright management. all dance cover and reaction videos on youtube got the song removed too.

  5. Here is part of Bittersweet's interview which has not been interpreted by Delightul,

    (Rough translation)

sNow I'm a freelance writer, To be a writer has been a dream of mine since high school days. It started from the passion in reading, novel reading. Because my mom loves book, there are novel shelves in the house. In my third year in Faculty of Linguistics, Silpakorn University, I won an award of feature (written documentary). It was a feature on salt boat.

Was it SOTUS in Faculty of Linguistics, Silpakorn University?

No. We only played games and sing songs, various group activities.

Do your parents know you love reading boys' love novel and comics?

    They do. (Smiled).

Once they knew, did they tell you to stop?

No. My mom tried reading some. They're supportive. When my novel got published, they handed the copies out to relatives. I had to tell them to refrain, it's boys' love novel. As they saw I loved writing and I did it well, they told me to be writer, even if it was not a very steady career.

In the past, boys' love novel wasn't popular as it is now. I thought if I should turn to feature writer or columnist but, it has gotten popular these 3-4 years.

I started writing SOTUS in 2013, inspired by Twitter hashtag. There was the hashtag "Mean sophomore and mr. freshman" to satire harsh frat activities and I thought it was interesting. At first, I wrote it as 1 shot but there were requests for chapter 2 so, I went on and ended up at chapter 28.

Any other novel to be published?

There are. Bittersweet is going to be published, "Dearest", another boys' love one, is also in the list.

Boys' love novel is yet to be widely received. Many think all are sexual. I try to show them clean variation.

Where are characters Athit and Kongpop from? Pure imagination?

Yes. I studied linguistics but SOTUS is a story of engineering students. I interviewed engineer friends how their frat activities were. I wrote feature so, I did research before I write a novel.

    How long was the research?

I did while writing. I didn't mean to write it a novel but, after it garnered loves, "I gotta be serious and research infos". It took me 3 months to finish the novel. I didn't expect it would come this far.

You chose Krist and Singto protagonists?

From the first sight, I said they this guy had to be Kongpop, this guy had to be Athit. I designed the characters, I knew them best. There were many casting applicants, over 400. I didn't choose alone, I teamed up with staffers from Felloww and the publishing house.

I was questioned if I was pro- SOTUS. I just wanted to depict reality. I believe the society will eventually filter out bad thing. In next 10 years, SOTUS may have died if it's bad.

I'm not a Thai though, when I was in elementary school, girls in my class did the same thing as May did to make her wish come true...btw, our rule is that you write the name of your crush on a eraser and if you can use up a whole eraser your wish come true, unless anyone find the name on it. Can we see similar charm like that all over the world??? :)

That definitely a loan charm and not national, possibly from a japanese comics. I didn't know such thing.

For those who bought "salak syrup" for pink milk but find it unfavorable, I have some recipe suggestion. Here are 3 popular menu consisting salak syrup.

Dang Manao Soda (Red syrup - Lime - Soda)

The ingredients for this drink has been suggested by its name, they are

    - salak syrup

    - lime juice and

    - soda

Mix the 3 ingredients together at preferred ratio and pour solution on ice.

    Red jelly

You mix agar agar powder and hot water in the ratio suggested on its package and add some syrup to taste.

    Tubtim Krob (Crunchy ruby)

Cut water chestnuts into tiny dices

    soak them in salak syrup

roll red dices in tapioca flour and shake excessive flour off

boil flour coated dices until the flour turns into clear red.

it can be used as dessert topping.

Yeah, that had me confused too when I first try to make the drink.

Basically, according to the official recipe you'd need unsweetened condensed milk and sweetened condensed milk (and the sirup and ice, obviously). But, honestly, when I tried that, it was disgustingly sweet. I haven't tried it again since, because I really, really didn't like how sweet it was. I think if you follow @delightful's suggestion and just go with regular milk instead, you should be fine, you really don't need the sweetened condensed milk at all... I assume, the reason why the Thai recipe asks for the two condensed versions is that so many people are lactose intolerant and can't drink regular milk, but are fine with condensed milk.

Not really. Pink milk is supposed to be served with 70 - 80% ice so, the taste is made very strong and the right way to drink it is wait until the ice has melted a little and start from top to bottom. (the thinner dissolved part will float.)

Also, condensed milk, either sweetened or not, is sterlitized with high heat thus it has the smell of cooked milk due to caramelized lactose.

Is there another meaning to 'pink milk' that I don't know about? When I write Pink Milk Monster, I am literally referring to the drink that Arthit drinks. I didn't know there was another meaning to it. Someone enlighten me, if it's rated R then use a spoiler box. Why do I have a feeling that it's rated R? :sweatingbullets:

Kind of. Pink milk has girly image for its taste and color. It isn't called "pink milk" in Thai though. We call it Nomyen which can be directly translated as Iced milk.

What does that mean for SOTUS? Does that make a second season more or less likely? Does that change what types of scenes will be cut/ left in?

I think the second season of SOTUS is unlikely as there is no novel material to base on, besides, better ending it for good than being ruined with ridiculous sequel.

Also, the process of capital raising and administration shift will few some month to complete. SOTUS must have finished when the new leader come into power.

Regarding the possibility of future BL contents, PPTV did air "Grey Rainbow". Also, it is expected that, despite the switch of the chairperson, most content producers for One Channel will be the same and time slots will be shared to live sport game broadcasting. PPTV has been set a "clean" image, no sexual nor violent content,  The same policy should be applied onto One Channel to an extent.

Channel One announces new (mini) drama to take over SOTUS time slot "Med In Love"

    ohnc6cot8vPQ4RWq7jm-o.jpg

    ohncbnh6sBTxi4B58zl-o.jpg

The drama depicts lives of intern med students. The whole drama was shot in Rama Medical School and the story must be in accuracy and positive light as prestigious Rama allowed its name to be used.

Pilot episode has been set for 21st Jan

I think I heard that she didn´t write about meeting their parents in the novel but I would really like to know about it as well!

The concept of coming out does not exist in Thai culture. We won't just telling peoples around "I'm gay". The coming out for us is to unleash the true self or to introduce a lover. Usually we taste the water first, intentionally tune in gay content and ask them what they feel, introduce the lover as "friend" and see if they like him/ her before gradually make it more obvious of the intimacy.

On the other hand, most parents are not blatant too. if they are against it, they may harshly criticize a homosexual public person in front of you or pushing you a conventional marriage. If they are neutral, they may not say anything. if they are supportive, they may say they want to see the "friend" more often or tease about the "friend".

Big business news of Channel One.

Channel One is in tight financial situation. it will increase the registered capital by 2x from 1,905m bahts to 3,810m baht. and the shares of increased capital will be sold to the daughter of BDMS Group' president. BDMS is the country biggest private hospital chain and also own a tv channel, PPTV.

That is very true, but fansubs are widely accepted. As long as we don't make a financial gain from it I think it's still considered fansub. Once you start making money off of it, then you're doing something illegal. Anyways, I don't want to get into too much details on this topic on the main thread, the other people don't need to read it. It'll just ruin the mood of their obsessions with SOTUS. Lets just agree to disagree on some topics, that's the best solution at times. ^_^

I thought I was helping you with Nagee? Or am I mistaken? Here I was about to message you for the translations so I could time it. I'm doing a quick sub of Off and Gun talking about season 2 of Puppy Honey.. It should be done in an hour. I have yet to see I Hate You I Love You, but I'll look for it.

Yeah, if it's all non profit sites that take my subs then I wouldn't have an issue. There are sites that charge fans a fee to view 'their' subbed versions, but in fact it's actually from other people's hard work. They've only used those soft subs and taken the actual subbers name out and put their own in. It actually happened to me when I subbed Thai lakorns back in the days. That was why I stopped subbing. And even if a person promises me that they won't do it and only use my soft subs properly I still can't say no to 10 people but say yes to just a few. If I say no then that's a no to everyone, if I was to give out my soft subs to anyone it would be Jjong, the person that uploads the LINE TV HD links. It's okay, difference in opinion and values.

The most frustrating point of fan subbing is that you are not entitled to claim for your effort. In theory, your subtitle is an copyrighted work of yours, but, as you illegally publish someone else's commercial video, you cannot make a legal complaint and expose yourself in the way.

Since you love JJ, why don't you collab with me to sub I Hate You I Love You? It's only 5 episode long so, it won't be so demanding.

Small updates on Krist's next project "Slam Dance"

    - The director attacked the manager of the lead actress (Baifern) via Facebook page and requested the producer for the new actress. In response, the producer decided to drop this

    ogzidg7chB6Cpx1O79x-o.png

Due to the hot dispute, we get some details

    - Baifern is a senior of a university and a great  ballroom dancer (possibly a dance major student)

    - March is a wrestler.

    - the fitting and the teaser were done, kind of. the drama shooting will be started in Feb.

Well isn't that what translating/subbing is? We all do it from scratch, one line at a time. I've actually given permission to people who wanted to use my hardsubbed videos to translate to their own language, I just don't give out softsubs because it gets stolen and not credited at all.

You can help her saving the timing time by providing her your sub file.

I guess we have different view on this. I 'll willingly give everyone my file as that means I'm spreading T-pop in a way. I care of that more than my non profitable moral right. I don't even care if I'll be given the credit for my effort. I believe most Thai will gladly given their fansub file under the condition you give them proper credit. The time you living oversea may have something to do with you being strict on such thing.

Hi all. Please help me again.

Its about Thai people and the greetings.

    1. Are parents and their children also do the wai greetings with sawadee-khrap / kha if they met each other? Like just coming back from school? Or when they wanted to had breakfast together in the morning?

    2. How did Thai parents called their child? Will they just called their name?

Example: Arthit. Or add Nong in front  like N'Arthit ?

    3. If a person met their friend's parents, what they called them? Uncle and Auntie?

    4. How do you call people much older than you? How about calling a teacher? Do you called them Sir or Mrs or Miss or using P' ?

Thank you so much for the help. I need them in the story.

    Hcpoirot

1 most don't, some do. most "wai" their parents before or after long time no see.

2 usually, by the nickname. for example, athit's parents likely call him oon or ai-oon. chinese thai parents may call their son 'tee" (=boy in teochiu chinese).

    3 yes. uncle and aunt.

4 depend on how much elder. if the person still much younger than our parents, we call him/ her 'pee", if not, we call him/ her 'uncle' or 'aunt'. as second person, we call 'ajarn" (indian loan word means teacher), for example, if a student cannot take a lab class he may say "Ajarn krub, I have to attend my grandfather's funeral in a far province. How can I make up for the lab class absence?" as third person, we call a teacher by ajarn + first name (for example Ajarn Chaiwat), if the teacher does not very much elder, we may call him/ her Ajarn + nickname (for example Ajarn Joe). for example, "Oh no. Ajarn Joe's section has been full. I have to see Ajarn Chaiwat again."

So I have a question, is Copy'A (the makers of Make it Right and War of High School) part of GMM or are they two separate companies? Because Gunsmile sang the theme song for WoHS on the GMM channel, but for some reason I thought that they were two different channels or something??

No. Copy A is not affiliate with GMM. Both Make It Right and War of High School were aired on channel MCOT.

For collegiate students, sticky rice and grilled pork seems to be a popular menu,

others are Chinese stuffed bun (aka pao)

    hqdefault.jpg

    and sandwiches, sometimes, it's congee.

For lunch of dinner, popular menus are

1 thoughtless menu - what ordered when the person cannot come up with an idea - Chicken padkaprao (stir fried chicken with holy basil) with rice

    2 omelette with rice

3 somtam and grilled chicken with sticky rice.

4 noodle soup, especially rice noodle in tomyam soup

5 japanese cuisine is also quite popular. It was a popular tweet saying Thai youth is the species that loves to eat japanese food while listening to K-pop music.

Yeah, there was a video of a professional chef who is Thai (born and grown up in Thailand and now lives in the US) and he suggested it, as well as the option of bell peppers. And the bell peppers were actually used in the recipe by another chef. I guess if you're a professional cook, money is less of an issue, maybe? Or maybe it's a regional thing? But, in any case, I'll definitely try the long beans next time, they're not hard to find here and I love beans just as much as bell peppers. :)

Ah, yeah, I used a Thai brand. But I still added a bit of sugar (not much, just a teaspoon or so), because I also added a tiny bit of water, to keep the chicken hydrated slightly.

Ooooh, thank you so much for the suggestions!!!

And before I forget!!! I tried the pink milk today...

    tumblr_ofxkr77ipb1ughf7ho1_540.jpg

Weirdly enough, it tasted very familiar, even though I've never drunk this in my life, and I'd swear that I've never come across salak sirup before... But maybe it was in something I had when I was a kid.

It also tastes a tiny bit similar to banana milk, if you ignore the color...

In any case, this was WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too sweet for me. Although, I do have to admit, that it would have certainly counter balanced the heat of the Pad Kaprao... Hmm.

And I have a question for those of you who are lactose intolerant... Can you drink condensed milk and evaporated milk without any problems or does that cause issues for lactose intolerant people?

Bell pepper is not a very common ingredient in Thai food whereas cayenne is. Bell pepper was introduced into Thailand just less than a century while cayenne had already been around for few centuries.

If you find the pink milk too sweet for your taste add few tablespoons of yogurt.

The process of condensed milk/ evaporated milk does nothing to the lactose so, it should be intact. Usually, lactose intolerant peoples have no problem with sweetened condensed milk because it's extremely sweet that one cannot take it in big enough quantity to upset their stomachs, they will die of diabetes before the stomach gets upset.

I did use holy basil. I know both the regular Italian basil and the Thai sweet basil are very different from the holy basil. Took me FOREVER to find a store that carried that one, haha. But I did it. YAAAAY!!! And you're right, the basil was quite spicy, but I still found the chilis even more spicy... But, then again, it's a different kind of spicy alltogether. ... I somewhat fell in love with the basil...

The paprika (bell peppers) wasn't used instead of the chilis. I did use the chilis just like the recipe requires (you just can't see them too well, because my camera dimmed the colors in the picture A LOT. The green was much more vibrant in real life and the small orange bits in the pic were actually red, those are the chilis.) The bell peppers were merely the added vegetable (because I couldn't get any long beans, and many Thai people apparently use bell peppers instead as well. But I agree, I should have used more red and less green, visually, because the basil leaves are green already.

As for the sauce, yeah, I did a mix of oyster sauce, fish sauce, thin soy sauce and dark soy sauce. That's what all the recipes that I found suggested, so I used those accordingly.

(I'm very nitpicky about cooking, so if I dip my toes into cold water with cooking something that I'm not familiar with, then I usually research various recipes for that meal, and filter out the gist of what is essential and what is optional and then I always stick to the essentials 100%. From all the recipes I found - I only looked at recipes from actual Thai cooks and not from any foreigners - I gathered that the holy basil, oyster-, fish-, thin- and dark soy sauce as well as garlic and thai chilis are essential and could be found in everybody's recipe, although the ratio varied slightly, but... yeah they were all definitely necessary. However, the added vegetable can vary. Some people cook this with long beans, others use bell peppers, others use carrots, others use spring onions, others use a mix of veggies... apparently it's up to personal taste.... so many options.)

Oooh, and I also learned how to fry an egg Thai style (gotta say I like the Thai style better than French style where dark edges and bubbles are frowned upon).:wub::wub:

Carrot and spring onion? that's off. If you can't get long bean, I suggest you bush bean, young green pea or any kind of young bean that is eaten as vegetable as substitute. (I think bush bean is tastier, but it's significantly more expensive here.) Also, for more green, cucumber slices can be used as edible garnish. Bell pepper is not a common optional ingredient for this menu here  (possibly because paprika is 2x more expensive than long bean here.)

By saying thick soy sauce, I meant those Japanese or Chinese soy sauce which were thicker. The Thai dark soy sauce is soy sauce + molasses. You'll need sugar if you don't use dark soy sauce.

I never think one must use "Thai bird's eye chilli" for Thai cuisine. The Thai ourselves cannot tell the difference of smells different varieties of chills. You are free to use any kind of chilli you like.

I find the brown rim of fried egg tasty, yet I prefer medium, not well done, fried egg, especially for pad kaprao. You should also try Thai omelette. I suggest you carrot and spring onion addition for both look and nutrient.

This was their earning from last year? I thought they made more than that.. maybe I'm thinking of the entire company, this must only be for the 'tv' section, right?

No, it's not the earning of GMM's tv section, just the earning of channel One. (GMM runs 2 channels One and 25.)

So I have a question for y'all. I know we're all here because we love BL stories, but is anybody here interested in the opposite - Girl Love? I actually really love both BL and GL and I'm wondering if anybody here knows of any good shows for GL? I followed the dao/koi story from Hormones and I know there's a bit of a love triangle between Melon/White/Om in Part time. I've already watched the famous Yes or No movie (the second one SUCKKKEEEDDD).

    Any suggestions for others?

Mary is happy, Mary is happy is not a romance but it is a nice film. you can find it with Eng subtitle on youtube (the 360p realness tho).

The mini drama The Dreamer is not bad, you may search up for one with Eng sub on Google.

Hey guys, I'm finally back at my place. Wow, I have almost 30 pages to catch up with in this thread... Let's see when I get to do that.

But until then, I wanted to share with you what I cooked today:

    tumblr_ofvqtgQV3k1rv21v6o1_r1_1280.jpg

I was soooooo eager to find out what Arthit's favorite food from SOTUS tastes likes, so I watched various YouTube vids with recipes for it and then cooked it myself. And it tastes SOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD!!!! Mmmmmmh basil!!!! And, yes, it was very spicey with all the chili and garlic and whatnot... my poor little european palate had to take a deep breath, but it was so worth it!!!

Even had to raid various Asian stores in town to find all ingredients. (And I also found those Oishi green tea drinks!!! I mean, way to go and fall for the product placement, but I had never seen those ANYWHERE on my country before, so it was sweet to find something "sotus-y")

Also bought sala sirup, but haven't tried making pink milk yet. I'll share once I do.

So, what have you been doing during the SOTUS hiatus? :phew::DB)

Be sure to use accurate variety of basil. it has to be holy basil, not the sweet basil used in Italian cuisine. If you did use the right variety of basil, it was responsible for the hot flavor, not the garlic.). It was a very nice idea to use paprika instead of chilli pepper, you can reduce the heat, yet get the chili smell, but if you used red or yellow paprika, it helped for colorful look. I am not good at this dish, but I think it will taste better if you use combination of fish sauce, oyster sauce and soy sauce for seasoning (thick soy sauce, not regular Thai thin soy sauce).

I know I'm over analyzing this.. but  'บางครั้ง.. โลกกลมเกินไป กลมจนฉันไม่อยากทำความรู้จักใครอีก.' Literally translate to 'Sometimes.. this world is so round, so round that I don't want to meet anymore people.'

........ SO, we all know all the various nick names that our lovely Krist goes by, right? There's Tao = turtle, Kon ='a lump/chunk of an object', and another thing they like to make fun of Krist about is his VERY round face/head. So that description under Singto's photo is like... is he referring to the fact that after meeting someone 'round' he doesn't need to meet anyone else. ... *gets all sorts of stares from you guys* Yeah, I KNOW I'm crazy!!!!

โลกกลม (rounded world) is an idiom meaning "small world" - meet someone unexpectedly. Hence, the sentence บางครั้ง.. โลกกลมเกินไป กลมจนฉันไม่อยากทำความรู้จักใครอีก means he almost always met someone he knew wherever he went.

Maybe, you already knew this and thought it might have another indirect meaning.

WOW! The most uplifting news I have heard in days! I really hope they will air SOTUS soon. But are they going to add some scenes to show respect for the King since they need to abide by the guidelines in order to broadcast the show?

You missed a very crucial part of the article

Oh yeah I love bromance between the actors  too! It's great to see that the actors are actually very comfortable with each other off screen and are very close friends  It makes me happy because it makes me forget all those actors being uncomfortable about the fact that they play/played a gay character or refusing to kiss their co-star like if kissing a man was the most disgusting thing ever like get over yourself you a$$hole, you're payed for it!!!!

Usually, for a quality drama, before the shooting, there is weekly acting training for a month, which include "breaking the ice" activities that actors won't get awkward in the shooting. for example, actresses played lovers in hormones said they had special acting training which include the activity they must close their eyes and caress each other from head to toes. Often, Thai drama only shot for 2 days weekly for months, allowing friendship to naturally grows.

Thai drama set also tend to have friendly atmosphere as Thai peoples tend to have friendly characters.
