(First, I'm sorry for the quotes. I made them a long time ago and don't know how to remove them :-( Been trying to delete but couldn't )

I am actually not sad that they didn't meet yet in the future.  My issue with the show is how they presented the final episode. A lot of things are either half baked or hanging. I watched the choppy raw stream so I may have missed something:

    1.  What is the point of having Su give birth when the drama would not put weight on the kid's effect on Wang So?  If the pregnancy was the reason for her leaving then better if they told us earlier making us sympathize with Su's desperation to leave to save her child. So eventually realizing this upon seeing the child will be more poignant and drama could even end with that.

    2.  Baek Ah patched things up with So but didn't stay while Jimong left eventually - did they really have to make him so miserable? Wasn't Su dying without making up with him and the past betrayals not enough?

    3.  So is indifferent with his child with Yeon Hwa and still hated her. Did they only have one child? If not, how could they make more babies with that mind set?

    4. Won was only outed after Hae Su died? Was the blood letter used as evidence? If yes, why didn't they use it earlier?

    5.  Pre-drowning Ji Mong was a homeless man, when Hae Su woke up he was something else (tour guide?). Did this mean Hae Su changed his future as well? Why only him and no change with HaJin? What really was his purpose in Hae Su's time travel?

    6.  There was also a time skip between Ha Jin drowning and waking up from the "dream"?

    7.  Woo Hee's stuff is with Wook's child? How? Very minor but why did they choose two similar looking kids for Wook's and Su's kids, some people got confused.

    8. Who made the paintings (except the portrait), Baek Ah? Modern Wang So?

So many questions. But thanks to the recappers for all their hard work, thank you thank you thank you!!!

About Su's last ditch effort to Wook about running away, I, on the other hand see her as being hopeful about it. When you love someone you always hope to be with that person in the end, no matter the dissapointments he put you through.  At that point their relationship doesn't have closure yet. At the pond Wook told her he missed her everyday, and before the battle he told her to just wait. So in Su's mind though Wook wasn't honest with her about the coup plot she was hanging on to the belief that he somehow did it to save her. When everything was already well with Mu as king and Wook as ally, she thought it was the perfect time for them to really fulfill that promise of being together.  When Wook decined that was when she realized it wasn't really about her, since there's no danger looming above them and Wook's family now that Mu is king and Yo is presumed caught/dead.  She knew then that indeed it was power and the throne that he wanted, it was her light bulb moment, this is when Wook's true self finall hecame evident to her

Contrast this to how So would do everything for her be it being king or being outcast, didn't matter to him, even if she would like to divorce him later. No wonder she would fall for him eventually.

  3. Hi everyone! Allow me to share my opinion on the forced kiss scene:

Before the kiss they we're kinda staring at each other, like having a silent conversation.  MH had so much to "say", like how he was sorry, grateful, frustrated and how he was falling in love with her. YJ sensed this, thus, her awkward stare-then-look-away reaction.  She more likely knew how he felt.

In the beginning of the forced kiss YJ was surprised but didn't seem revolted. For about 3 or so seconds she was wide eyed unblinking but didn't move her face away either.  Then her defense mechanism kicked in thinking "this couldn't be, we cannot be like this..."  so she pushed him away but not as fiercely as she was capable of.

When MH stopped, sat her down and knelt  "talking" to her again, he confirmed her feelings for him by the way she looked back all teary eyed.  Sad eyes, not angry nor scared eyes. As a tear dropped as soon as he kissed her again she was like saying "but what can we do if we cannot help feeling this way for each other?"  feeling quite resigned.

I don't think it impossible for her to love him given the many times he has been rescuing/helping her despite all the threats of wanting her to feel as pained as him.  He always meant to be bad to her but always ended up doing good things to her.

......The death of San though was really possibly something that all of them didn't expect. I don't think the family has enough support or money behind them to fake the death. Dad is just forever in the dark about anything and everything.
And yes, I really need to get out of this thread.

I keep going back to the guilty-face of the ugly-inside-and-out mother in law (Do Hoon's Mom) ....that reprehensible woman KNOWS something and I think all of us are hoping the writer will indulge us in at least one scene where she gets a Knock-Down - either physical or verbal.Heck -- I'll even take a scene of Do Hoon introducing Se Yeon to her. (!) Can you imagine how far Se Yeon's nose would go up in the air? Stratosphere, baby!
Additionally -- I've always found Min Hyuk's step mother to be really creepy in her interactions with him. Some have suggested a blood bond between them, but I get squicky 'forbidden love' vibes from her - or rather, jealousy, which is sorta the same thing. It's more like she speaks to him in a seductive tone - which..."he's your stepson, so NO woman - step away from the candy!"

  6. sally_b said: .....Even more so -- if San is actually still alive and hidden/adopted away -- in real life, what man with Min Hyuk's emotional immaturity would be able to handle raising the son of the man who made his life a ruin? Just seeing the child every day would be a reminder of all that went wrong and was regrettable ... also knowing that you must endure it to return-the-heart of the mother who longs for that child.
There's no current indication that he's reached a level of emotional *wholeness* to enter into a healthy relationship with Yoo Jung, much less to become the Dad of her sadly fathered child. I really don't know how the writer is going to bring this to a conclusion -- but am satisfied with the push and pull so far ~ so maybe it CAN be done!
